Twilight trod back and forth in the confined car, the muscle tension in her face a reflection of the burden of concern and uncertainty. She turned to her friends, her quavering voice low. "What if.... What if Sombra's back?" That long-ago incident with the dark king still resided within her, casting its shadow on every step she would take.

Applejack adjusted her hat, the glint of determination in her eye. "Last time we faced him, it was a close call, sugarcube. But we managed to pull through." She gave Twilight a reassuring smile. "We've handled him once, we can do it again if we have to."

Rainbow Dash crossed her hooves defiantly, hovering above the floor. "Yeah! And this time, I’ll make sure he regrets ever showing his face in Equestria!" she declared confidently, though there was a hint of unease in her voice. Sombra had always been one of their most dangerous enemies.

Twilight took a deep breath, trying to steady herself. But what if it isn't just him? she thought, glancing down at the letter Cadance had sent. Her sister-in-law's message had been urgent and brief, warning of disturbances in the Crystal Empire; there was a lingering fear between the lines.

Pinkie Pie, never exactly the quiet type, piped up from where she sat, frowning thoughtfully. "Maybe it's not him, though! Maybe it's… somepony new? Somepony trying to be him?"

The group said nothing for a moment, all dwelling on it. The idea sounded ridiculous to them.

Fluttershy shivered, clutching her tail close. "If that's true… that might be even scarier. Somepony who's… like him?"

Twilight nodded slowly, her voice falling as dread seeped over her. "And that's what scares me. We don't even know who we're dealing with." She lifted her head and looked at her friends, drawing what little strength she could from them.

The air began to grow quiet and chill as the train tracked nearer to the Crystal Empire. They didn't know what, or whom they were really against.

As the train puffed along the rails in the direction of the Crystal Empire, the talk among the Mane 6 veered from hopeful strategy to shared concern. They were oblivious to the grim reality that had already befallen Cadance and Shining Armor; their voices were in direct contrast to the silence awaiting them in the Empire. Rainbow Dash, observant as ever, looks out the window to notice the changes to the empire. Her eyes widened as she peered out of the window, wings stiffening in shock. "Guys," she whispered, "look."

Where once the Crystal Empire had been pristine, now there stretched out crimson crystals in every direction, a malevolent hand choking the land beneath. Where once crystal spires had shone with vibrant color, now a dark red hue tainted their glow and the very air seemed to vibrate with malignant energy. The streets, normally teeming with life, were deserted, except for the slow, almost imperceptible advancement of the malevolent crystals, as if a disease spreading into the very heart of the city.

"What in Equestria is that?" Applejack breathed, her jaw hanging. The rest closed in around Rainbow Dash, their faces reflecting the same horror and confusion etched onto hers. Twilight's horn started to shine with a bright, concentrated light as she examined the crystals for some sort of explanation for the chaos they were flying into.

Twilight's horn dulled as she furrowed her brow, focusing her eyes deep into the nooks and crannies of her magical knowledge to find any hint of what those twisted crystals were. No matter how hard she tried, she just couldn't, it was as if the very fabric of magic was veiled from her. The realization hit her like a ton of bricks. "M-My magic can't see anything," she stammered, her voice husky with dread and confusion. "The crystals... they aren't just corrupted... they are blocking my magic!"

Her friends exchanged concerned glances, the reality of the situation marinated like a heavy meal in their stomachs. If Twilight, the most magic studious pony in Equestria, couldn't lift the veil that shrouded these crystals, then their threat was indeed powerful and cunning.

Pinkie's eyes widened, and she pointed a shaking hoof. "Look, there's the palace!" she exclaimed. But instead of gleaming white marble and sparkling towers that they knew so well, the once majestic structure now was shrouded by a thick, pulsing veil of dark red crystals, as if some malignant force had claimed it for its own.

Their stomachs twisted in concern at the reality of the moment. "Are we. too late?" Twilight said, her voice tight. "The Empire is.... lost. Whatever this is, need to try to stop it."

With an air of sudden urgency, the group set in motion: the ponies prepared for the upcoming battle. Unbeknownst to them, Cadance and Shining Armor already fell at the dark force's hoof, and the fate of the Empire lay squarely in their hooves. The weight of the world, or rather, the fate of empire city they vowed to protect, lay heavy on them, but they wouldn't waver.

The train pulled into the station, the silence outside deafening. The Mane 6 disembarked, their eyes locked on the crystalline horror before them. Whatever lay ahead, they were ready to fight for their friends and the peace they'd fought so hard to hold on to. They were the Elements of Harmony, and they wouldn't stand by while darkness claimed the day.

Meanwhile, back to Lightning, who got ready to finally clash with the Mane 6. "Everything is going into place, they don't know they belong to me now." he said. With his Map Orb active, he smirks, seeing they have entered the empire. His 2 new Timber Wolves pets approached him, an idea popped into his head as he cast a dark spell, turning the timber wolves into ponies. One is a unicorn, the other a pegasus.

The confusion laced through their new voices as the Timber Wolves-turned-Ponies stared amongst each other, until Lightning's voice sliced through the tension. "You have a gift from my father's dark magic, the ability to transform at will." He pointed towards the silhouetted forms of the Crystal Empire. Now christened Shadow Fang and Crimson Howl, respectively, the two newly transformed ponies stared at each other in shock. The voices of the ponies trembled with disorientation as they tried to make sense of what had just happened to them. "What. what kind of sorcery is this?" Shadow Fang, the unicorn asked.

"This is what Sombra's legacy has done for you," said Lightning Bolt, pride in his voice. "You can change between your pony and timber wolf forms. This will work to our advantage more times than not."

"But... why?" asked Crimson Howl, the pegasus, looking for an explanation with her eyes.

"Our mission is to not let the Mane 6 leave the empire, they should not leave ever, making them my slaves forever like I did to Cadance. " replied Lightning Bolt with an evil smile. "I need them here, where I can enact my vengeance for what they did to my father." His eyes gleamed with malice as he continued, " Help me contain them, and in return, I will grant you a place in my new world order."

The two ponies felt confused but also very peculiar since the dark power was pulsating through them now. "What should we call you then Prince? " ask Crimson.

Lightning thinks for a bit "Prince Oscuridad, Lightning Bolt is just my alicorn name."

They nodded in unison, then in a flash of dark magic, their forms shifted back into the form of timber wolves. Taking to the positions outside the city, their eyes shone through the night-a mix of dread and determination-filled, ready to follow tyrant prince's command. Meanwhile, the Mane 6, oblivious to such twisted fates of these creatures, journeyed deeper into the corrupted empire, their hearts weighted with what was soon to come in battle.

Oscuridad looks up at one of the stained glasses of the Mane 6 using their elements on Sombra, "This will be your last battle Princess Twilight. For you and your friends" he says to himself. He then walks off as the stained glass morphs into an image of himself on a throne with the Mane 6 bowing before him.

Oscuridad confidently walked down the hall to a room and approached a bonfire, the power of his father's dark magic coursing through his veins. He pulled out an orb and tossed it into the flames, which erupted in an emerald inferno, and the shadowy face of King Sombra materialized before him. His eyes shone bright as fire as he spoke to his father's spirit, pride ringing in his voice. "I've done it, Father. The Crystal Empire is mine. And soon all of Equestria will follow. The Mane 6 will fall at my hooves, never to rise again and be forever bound in shackles of your shadow!"

The spectral visage of Sombra watched his son with a cold, unblinking gaze for what felt like an eternity before finally speaking, a rumble of dark satisfaction. "I am proud, Son. Your dedication to our legacy does not go unnoticed. Use this power wisely, and together we shall rewrite the history of our world. And where is your headgear?"

Oscuridad rolled his eyes, "I'm not wearing that stupid thing, my plans is to make them my slaves... one by one"

Sombra gave a thought to himself "Why i never though of that?" he said

Oscuridad retorted, "Well because the offspring always surpass the parent!"

Before Sombra could reply, Oscuridad ended the communications from the afterlife. And i'll make sure my offsprings will never surpass me, he thinks as he gives smirk.

The fire roared as the image of Sombra faded, leaving Oscuridad alone in the hall, his mind was racing with the boundless possibilities laid before him. He knew the Mane 6 would not fall easily, but with the might of his father's magic combined with his own cunning alicorn magic, he knew victory was at hoof. His gaze returned to the bonfire, as green flames danced into his eyes from the malicious grin on his face. "I'm Ready for Round 2," he breathed, his voice echoing through the voids of the castle as his eyes flashed green, his eye color turned red, and the green tint in his eyes emitted a red, blue, and purple aura smoke trailing from his eyes. "Let the games begin!"

The Elements Of Harmony will soon break.
