The rule of Princess Twilight ended long ago when her mind was shattered beyond recognition. A single mistake placed the lives of all ponies at the mercy of the half-mad sorcerer, King Blazemane, and reduced Twilight into nothing but a shadow of her former self. For centuries now, her name has inspired nothing but fear and contempt. In New Equestria, there is hardly any room for friendship, and magic is a luxury only for a select few.
