Twilight and her friends rushed down the street. Twilight had cast a spell over her and her friends that made a dome over them. Bits of the destroyed shield rained down, creating a Tink! everytime they hit the spell. Anyponies who were outside cowered under fruit stands, or jumped into coffee shops.

“I can’t cast the teleportation spell!” said Twilight. “The bits and pieces of the shield must still be preventing teleports!”

A shot of dark magic hit Twilight’s protection spell, breaking it just as the last pieces of the shield rained down. Midnight Moon was standing in front of her.

Twilight let a spell fly, and Midnight barely avoided it. Instead, a hot dog cart was knocked off the cliff.

“Luna! Stop the insanity!” Twilight called desperately.

Luna froze. “How do you know my name? Did my sister tell you that too?”

“Stop right there!” yelled a commanding voice. Twilight turned her head and saw her brother, Shining Armor. He was with twenty members of the Royal Guard.

“Shining Armor!” called Twilight.

“Twilight!”

“What a precious family reunion,” said Luna coldly. “I really do hate to ruin it. Seeing as some ponies are finally enjoying my night!”

“Attack!” yelled Shining Armor.

Curses flew wildly, and Twilight’s brother entered the fray, shooting a powerful spell directly at Luna. Luna parried it and sent it directly back at Shining Armor, who staggered back a few steps.

“NO!” screamed Twilight.

Suddenly a beam of light cut across the street. Luna looked up and saw her sister looking down at her from the top of her castle.

Midnight yelled in rage, and then spun on the spot, catching the broken shield bits, and creating a tornado with them, before all of the bits were turned to a dark blue fire and burned up, and Midnight teleported, arriving inside of Celestia’s tower.

“That was crazy!” said Pinkie.

Twilight suddenly felt herself being yanked into a spin, and saw that Rarity had cast the teleportation spell.

“Why Luna?” Celestia was looking at her sister, as they circled each other, horns at the ready. “Why would you go so crazy over jealousy?”

“It’s not just jealousy, it’s ignorance!” yelled Luna. “You ignored me! You were too absorbed in your ‘wonderful’ day, to see how wonderful the night was! And when I asked you to do something about it, what did you do? WHAT DID YOU DO?”

Luna cast a curse at Celestia, who parried, and sent a gold spell back at her sister, and the spells connected. Celestia pushed harder and harder to get her spell to hit.

Luna suddenly broke. “Nothing.”

Celestia’s spell overpowered Luna’s and sent her flying into a wall, before Luna summoned a hundred small moons that spun like daggers towards Celestia. Celestia's horn powered up, and then gravity had been reversed, and the moons flew above her head, and then she and Luna were dueling on the roof.

“You did nothing!” screamed Luna, sending a flurry of Darkness towards Celestia, who put gravity the right way up…

“I couldn’t make ponies enjoy something if they didn’t want to! And what you never realized, is that creatures did enjoy your night, they just weren't pony! They were owls, and frogs, and mice!”

The Darkness was flowing down, and the whole castle tower was entirely filled by it.

Celestia powered up her horn to its full power, and then it exploded with the power of the sun, obliterating the Darkness, and shattering every window.

Luna flew back and fell to the ground.

“You beat me this time,” Luna spat. “But it won’t happen again.” And with that, she teleported away.
