Chapter 1

I looked around Equestria from the tallest tower in the Canterlot Castle, ingesting the beautiful landscape. Today was my last day as Princess of Equestria, and was I glad it was almost over. I'd be able to see my friends once again, soaring high in the sky with them. I took one final look at the mountains and the lakes before heading inside to prepare for the dedication ceremony. My student, Aurora Starlight, was waiting at the door for me.

"Are you sure you want to go through with this Princess Twilight?" She asked me. Her voice was soft, yet filled with much concern.

"I am Aurora. I believe that you will make a great ruler." I responded to her, trying to ease her mind.

"No, I mean about the whole... offing yourself." Aurora said whilst pretending to slit her throat with her hoof.

"Yes Aurora. My time in this world has come to an end," I took her cheek into my hoof and rubbed it softly. "And it's time for you to rule a nation. Now come, we mustn't be late for your ceremony."

Aurora trotted by my side trying to stay calm and collected, but I could sense her worry about my soon to come death. We started the ceremony without a hitch, everything was going according to my plan. The music was exquisite for my last time I'd listen to anything. Hours went by, and the mood was so gleeful. After I appointed Aurora, I took my leave. I had planed to jump off the highest tower and plummet to my quick and painless death. I quickly climbed the stairs and walked to the balcony. I looked out at world for the last time. I noticed I lost my celestial body and went back to being a regular alicorn.

"See you guys in a little bit." I said aloud.

I sighed and walked off the edge closing my eyes as I fell to the ground.

I sat up quickly, breathing heavily. I looked at my surroundings. It was dark, the only light being the strange floating numbers on what looked like a messy nightstand. I looked down and saw I was on a bed, then turned my attention to across the room as I heard someone sigh. My body moved on its own and grabbed a cup of water that was on the nightstand.

"Hello?" I tried to call out, but my voice failed me, or so I thought.

"Hush, I'm trying to sleep brain." A voice called back out.

I looked around in an attempt to identify who had spoken to me. I called out again failing to find anyone.

"Who said that?! Where are you?!"

There was no response. I hadn't realized that I had laid down closed my eyes until I heard soft snoring coming from me. This was unusual for me because I had never snored in my life. Speaking of life, wasn't I supposed to be dead? I groaned as it came to mind that I'd have to wait even longer to see my friends and family again.

Morning came quickly as a sudden noise jolted me awake. I looked at the strange contraption that displayed numbers as it beeped at me. My body instinctually flipped a switch at the top of it to make it go quite. I sat up slowly, my back was in pain. That was possibly the worst sleep I've had in a millennia. I soon realized I actually had no control over my body as it began to move again. My back was cracked which relieved the pressure in it, soothing the ache I woke up with. Suddenly there was a voice singing to what sounded like himself.

"Hello?" I called out, hoping to get an answer this time.

"Hmm.. What is it?" The voice responded back.

"Can you tell me what is happening?" I asked.

"I'm getting ready for work Twilight." He responded.

This freaked me out. How did this pony know my name? Also, why did he respond like any of this was normal? I couldn't see him, nor could I move my body.

"So, are you a new alter I have suddenly gained from some random chance?" The mysterious voice asked.

"Alter?" I asked timidly.
"You know, an alternate personality?" He responded.

Naturally, I had no idea what an alternate personality was or that it was even a medical condition known as a disorder.

"Noo..? I don't think so at least." I responded as confidently as I could like I knew what he was talking about.

It was foolish really. I could have said yes and went from there. Maybe things would have been easier that way.

Yeah, for sure. I kinda wish you had done that.

Where was I? Ah yes, ahem. I looked around at my surroundings and the first thing I noticed was that I was a human again! The second thing I noticed was that I was a boy through means I won't mention.

You were super flustered when you found out. XD

"You said something about work?" I brought up after almost five minutes of silence.

"Yes, and I have only half an hour before I need to go, so can you please hush?" He snapped back.

I followed his request and went silent. This person followed a set pattern, a routine if you will. He first would get dress, then do something that involved food, then any that involved the restroom he'd do last.

It was so I would leave being as fresh as possible.

Of course.

Are you going to tell them about how you burned me at work?

Only if you want me to.

No, I think I will.

By all means, go ahead.

Okay. So I, the human, am a barista at a location we will call S. Anyways, this egghead decided one day she was going to put my hand under the hot water tap we have at S, keep in mind the water is 210 F, 99 C. She kept my hand under it for a solid 3 seconds before pulling it out!

I was seeing if I could feel pain.

Which she barely can and nearly got me a workplace injury!

Lets move on to the next chapter, yes?
