"Listen. Don't freak out. I'm you. 'Past' you to clarify. Close to forty-eight hours before you woke up here. I think if System did the numbers correctly,"
"I know this is all confusing but that is why I'm recording for me. You. Us. Whatever you want to call it,"
"Almost thirty-six hours ago shortly after I... we were first awakened from stasis we found this planet we are now orbiting. We were so excited about this new opportunity. Confusing I know but I can't risk thinking about it. All I can say is that we weren't like this before. We were different. Normal even. Not what we are now,"
"Focus unit! Safe. Safe. Safe. Keeping thinking about safes,"
"Alright two hours after our awakening there was an event. Some sort of energy from the planet's surface was fired out of orbit. I don't believe it was an attack on us. I didn't get a chance to go down there and ask what it was. However, the energy caused what I can describe as a tear to form in space. Impossible I know but it happened right before my very eyes. Your eyes. I didn't see what was in that tear because as briefly as it was opened it closed,"
"Not before giving off a wave of unknown energy radiation that hit the ship. This ship has the most advanced shields and armor one can ask for but this anomalous radiation somehow bypassed through everything. The energy didn't affect anything physically. Well not from what I found but rather until a half hour later did I learn what it did to us,"
"We were unharmed however the energy seemed to have mended with our thoughts and through them. Our memories,"
"From what the system told me, the energy could bring whatever we think of into reality and onto the planet below close to where the energy beam was unleashed,"
"I thought for a split second how useful could be, however, I concluded that it could be extremely unsafe. The energy in our memories doesn't discriminate between thoughts it pulls whatever we think of either person or object. We could accidentally think of something so horrible, so awful, and so evil that we unknowingly pull it into reality,"
"Safe. Safe. Safe. Think about how complicated their locks could be! Nothing else!"
"Sorry. To keep ourselves focused I'm thinking of only small simple safes. Nothing but harmless safes,"
"I hope the safes don't harm anyone planet side like they just appear in the air and-! Getting off topic!"
"I've already scanned the planet and luckily for them the planet seemed to have a secondary atmosphere which is strange I know but this duel atmosphere seemed to have shielded the planet and it's local inhabitants from the anomalous energy. FUCK! I forgot. The planet does have intelligent life on it, don't worry they're peaceful. How do I know even though we never set foot on that planet? I wish I could tell you but I can't! I'm sorry,"
"But you can trust me when I say they will not harm you. Maybe,"
"Just keep an open mind when you get down there alright, pal? Calling myself pal sounds weird coming out of my mouth,"
"If all else fails just trust your gut alright?"
"Now I know what you are wondering. Why can't I remember any of this? Simple,"
"I had to erase our memory,"
"Before you freak the hell out listen to yourself. The energy from the tear hooked onto our memories involving things and people we know and whenever we think about them they are pulled into this reality. I couldn't safely remove the energy without damaging our minds. So to get rid of the energy from pulling any unfortunates into this reality I had to completely erase our memories. From both of our lives,"
"I know. You have questions but... I wish I could tell you but I can't risk talking about them. Especially our kin. Pulling them into this reality would not only be dangerous but we could destroy their lives in the process. Not literally but ruining what they had. It's only right by them if we just-"
*Sigh*
"Move on,"
"Safes..."
"Luckily I'm not completely erasing our mind simply. Names, faces, people, and other things the energy can use as a hook to pull them into this reality. So you will remember some things but not everything. I just hope there is enough of me left behind to understand this,"
"You're angry I get it but listen to yourself. We have to do this. Not for us. But for everyone, we know. Real or fictional,"
"There is something I want us to do. See in those thirty minutes I didn't realize what the energy did our mind was still wandering like crazy even after seeing a tear in literal space. I may have caused a few hooks to pull through. Find them. If they're good help them in any way you can it's only right we do so after we unknowingly did. If they're bad deal with them quickly I only hope they are nothing too terrible we can't handle. If they don't want anything to do with us after what we did... we'll just keep tabs on them,"
"Just do that for yourself alright? It's our mistake. Willing or not, the best thing we can do is fix what we can,"
"And one more thing. For the love of god make sure that tear never happens again! Who knows what could happen!? I've already sent the ship into low orbit so we can be protected by the second atmosphere if another tear happens. Stay down here until you find out what caused the tear and prevent it from happening again. I doubt we want a second memory wipe,"
"Best of luck future me. Just don't turn into an asshole or something alright. Be kind. Be humble. Be strong but be strong enough to be gentle,"
"Don't think. Safe. Safe. Safe. End recording. Let's do this thing before I do any more damage,"
(Equestria, Cantorlot)
"Princess that report you asked for is here," Celestia looked up from her desk to see one of the assistants handing her a paperwork file.
Putting her feather pen down the princess took the paperwork with a smile.
"Thank you, Ink Wing. I'm surprised to get those so soon," The assistant nodded.
"Well, Benny Safecracker didn't get his cutie mark for nothing," Ink Wing quipped to which Princess Celestia simply smiled shaking her head at the comment. "Anything else you require of me, princess?"
"Yes, one more thing. How is the progress of the relic chamber's repairs after the- *Ahem* Incident with the experiment," Celestia asked to which Ink Wing raised his clipboard.
"Progress is proceeding according to plan. With Starswirl's aid to the magical runes, all defensive spells are now back up however it will take about another 72 hours before the physical repairs are completed," Ink Wing reported.
"By my mother's mane. I shouldn't have allowed Sunburst and Starlight to go through with that experiment," Celestia groaned. "Inform the guards that the new shift schedule will remain until the repairs are completed,"
"As you command, princess," Ink Wing turned to inform the guards of the princess' orders while allowing her to handle her paperwork.
Opening the file, she looked down and began to read the reports of the mysterious safes pile that appeared outside the center lot a day before. At first, believing it to be a prank by Discord, Celestia nearly chewed the chaos god out. However, to her surprise, he hadn't done it since Fluttershy and Spike confirmed his alibi. The chaos god had been playing a board game with the young drake and afterward had tea with Fluttershy, but she never understood that game.
Who plays a game for almost six hours with no real board, yet they had dice and paper, of course, it had to be an earth game. Which Spike was gifted during Sunset's yearly visit back into Equestria.
However, the safes' strange appearance was still a mystery since it didn't fit the MO of any other powerful magic user. So in an attempt to figure out who caused these safes to appear she decided to have Equestria's best safecracker open each safe to find some clue as to what caused them to appear. In under a day it was done, her little ponies never cease to amaze her it seems.
"281 safes what do you have for me? Alright here let's see," Celestia began to read down the list. "This can't be right. Safe 1: Empty. Safe two: Empty. Safe three: Empty. Safe four: Empty?"
She began to go down the list.
"Safe twenty-one: Empty?! Safe thirty-five: Empty?! Safe seventy-six: EMPTY?!" She kept reading more until she stopped at a non-empty safe. "Safe one hundred and one: Contained a half-eaten unknown meat and cheese sandwich? WHAT?!"
As she proceeded to read further into the list she found more random items that didn't make any sense of being in a safe. She was sure this was some elaborate prank scheme that Discord had made Ahibi or not! These random things had to be something Discord would come up with who else puts a half-eaten sandwich and a blank birthday card in a safe?
Annoyed slightly she took a deep breath.
'Calm down Tia just think for a moment. Fluttershy was quite sure that Discord was innocent and besides he would never lie to her. But maybe I'll request Applejack to accompany me whenever I go to visit them again over this,'
Closing the folder she huffed, this didn't need to take up the rest of her day she had other things to do. Placing it to her side she reached over and grabbed another folder. This time it was one she rarely saw come onto her desk however it seemed like this day wanted to give her a massive headache. Opening the red folder up she sighed looking at the recent troublemaker that caused a fuss in Canterlot, some diamond dog disrupting the peace and assault on a solar guard after claiming that she was Princess Luna.
"Oh, mother,"

Pressing the pause button on the screen he pressed and held the marker on the recording's timeline and scrolled forward, seeing himself talk at a rapid rate while fast-forwarding.
"I had to erase our memory,"
Hearing his voice telling him that again for the seventh time made him pause the video, he sat there for what felt like an eternity hearing a recorded version of himself telling him that he had to erase his memory.
Or their memory.
Complicated was an understatement, if the memory wipe wasn't bad enough he was getting a massive headache from this.
The unit fasted forward again.
"Just do that for yourself alright? It's our mistake they're here. Willing or not, the best thing we can do is fix what we can,"
"Yeah, easy for you to say," He leaned back in the chair he awoke in after not remembering how he got there or who he was until this video recording explained what had happened to him. Leaning forward he took a breath behind his faceplate and spoke to the one who showed him this recording.
"System?"
"Yes, User?" A coded voice answered as the video was replaced with the image of a thundering hammer appearing on screen.
"What is my name,"
"User. Identification code: T4-S6. User referred to himself as 'Six' however User referred to himself as 'Six Shot' upon awakening," The system answered in a calculated tone. "System is unaware of this statement. Conclusion it could be because of the User's sidearm of choice or could be that the user thought of a reverse anagram of the user's identification code. The number 6 is used as the primary name while S, 4, and T are referred to as shot where the number 4 is rearranged as an 'H' while adding an 'O' between the newly formed H and present T. Forming the word shot,"
"Hm,"
"Would the user like to be referred to as 'Six shot', 'Six', or 'Commander'?"
"I dunno just- wait. Commander?"
"Commander is the rank used by-" 'Six' waved his hand
"I know what a commander is alright. I don't think the memory wipe affected that part of my brain," Six stated. "I'm a commander?"
"Correct user. You are Void Commander T4-S6 of the Hati's Reach the vessel you are current occupied within,"
"Damn, I'm a commander. Wait is there anything else of my history on your records,"
"My records are very limited about the current User. My records indicate that the user was rewarded with 'The Hati's Reach' after the void war. Aside from that my records of the user's past are extremely limited since the User did not update the user data for personal reasons. However, my records of User is that the user was a former combat engineer who wished for a ship for himself after the war was over and since -NAME REDACTED- owed T4-S6 a favor, after which T4-S6 left the system to 'see the beaches of an uncharted alien world' as the user described before going into cryosleep. The user was given 'The Hati's reach. Strange, it seems part of my record has been purposely corrupted,"
"Is there any way to remove the corrupted data to know who gave me this ship,"
"Negative user. I am unable to restore this data as well as your memories that you had me erase,"
"By the cold fangs of Helhiem!" Slamming his fist into the armrest he groaned holding his face plate. "Is there anything else about me that I told you?"
"You like to sleep with white noise,"
"Wow, that was a really 'helpful' system,"
"Glad to be of service," The system answered not understanding the sarcasm in Six's voice. "Now user would you like to be referred to as 'Six shot', 'Six', or 'Commander'?"
"Commander why the hell not,"
"Wonderful I shall refer to the user as 'Commander' from now on. Now Commander do you wish to head to the planet's surface for your mission," The system asked to which Six leaned up.
"What mission,"
"The mission is to find anyone who was ripped into this reality due to the anomaly's energy. Commander set it as a priority mission before your mind wipe,"
"Right of course I did," Six tapped his armrest as he looked at the view of the planet under the ship through the bridge's viewing window.
"Commander. You did promise yourself you would,"
"Sure. Let's do this thing," The unit stood up while the monitor moved up beside him.
Author's Note
Well... quite the idea I had for this story.
I was hesitant to call this a 'remake' since the MC isn't a Protogen, however, T4-S6 is my protogen OC concept name so I decided to have it here for this character. Similar to a protogen but very different.
Like how wolves are to dogs.
Now then, other than that. I gave you this story on my birthday as a my gift to you all, maybe this story will do better I don't know.
But this idea of a displaced human getting to work excited to finally have a dream come true only to have his mind wipe in order not to cause any more damage that he was unknowingly causing.
All questions will be answered in due time I promise now... here to hoping for this story.
Equisestria's Void Commander
(Equestria, Canterlot)
"Fascinating!" Sunburst moved from his micro-scope as he turned to his notepad.
Starlight turned from her book to the yellow-coated pony.
"What is it?"
Sunburst pulled off the piece of metal he was studying from under the scientific instrument and held it up in his hands.
"This sample we took from the safe. It's giving off the same magical energy that the mirror was giving when we were testing out the window-shift spell," Sunburst exclaimed holding it between his fingers.
"You mean after we almost blew up the magical vault by super-charging the mirror with that spell?" Starlight asked, his brow raised, causing Sunburst to pull on his collar with a nervous expression.
"Well yes. That was an accident however this is proof that the spell did work although not in the way we believed," Sunburst looked at the piece of metal in his hands. "I think I was right about those safes appearing right after we activated that spell on the mirror. Sure it didn't show us another dimension as we hoped but we ended up bringing items from another world into our own! This is so fascinating! If I can get us another chance at this experiment again maybe we could-"
Starlight held out her hand to stop the young mage from finishing his sentence.
"Hold it right there hotshot. We nearly blew up half the mountain in doing this test and you wanna do it again? Sunburst, we got lucky that no pony got hurt the first time and you want to do it again?!" Starlight asked to which Sunburst nodded.
"Yes, but if we do it in a more controlled environment and lessen the magical input we could be able to not only see into other worlds but be able to travel between them!" Sunburst stated. "Imagine it Starlight all of Pony-kind will be able to walk between worlds visit new places, see new species of life, and learn new magics! The possibilities are endless,"
Starlight sighed closing the book of Equestria's magical relics, setting it down on a table the young unicorn looked to her friend.
"As amazing as that sounds Sunburst I don't think the princesses would not allow us to go even near the mirror after what we did," Starlight stated. "And to be honest? I think we shouldn't either. That old spellbook has been nothing but trouble since we found it after going through Sombra's hidden library,"
"This could be the start of something revolutionary!" Sunburst argued yet Starlight shook her head walking over and grabbing the ancient spell book from next to Sunburst.
"In my time learning old magic sometimes there are some things that are best left forgotten," Starlight stated, but before she could take the book Sunburst gently grabbed her wrist.
"Just... let me finish reading it first Starlight? For old time's sake?" Sunburst asked looking up at the young mare in front of him who gave a reluctant sigh before putting the book back down.
"Don't do anything stupid," Starlight said leaving the young stallion alone with the old spell tome and the sample.
Sunburst turned on his seat to the spellbook, placing the metal piece down and placing his hand on the old leather-bound book.
"The things I could do with half these spells alone," Opening the book Sunburst leaned forward, again getting lost in pages of old magical knowledge.
"System. How well do you think this first contact will be?" Six asked while the drop ship rocked as the vessel went closer down to the planet's surface.
"Current observations of local equine species show they process a high level of xenophobia. It will most likely result in a negative first contact scenario," System answered causing the unit to turn to the AI.
"How so?"
"Behavior records from the past twelve hours from our entry into the planet's atmosphere have shown that the equine species that are the main inhabits of this planet's continent possess xenophobia behavior of the non-equine sentient species," System responded leaving Six to hold his faceplate chin in thought.
"I guess you already calculated the projections on how this will be a huge mess?" Six were asked to which System answered by pulling up a screen of a pie graph.
"I calicate of a 43.9% chance that the locals attack you. While there is a 39.1% chance that the locals will disregard you. As to a 25.5% chance that the locals will attempt to capture you and attempt to confiscate this vessel before disassembling both you and the drop ship,"Six tapped his fingers on the pilot seat's armrest.
"And the 11.5%?"
"First contact will have moderate relations with the locals if you approach the locals with extreme circumspection," The unit's visor reflected the results of the screen shown to him, closing the screen Six took a breath.
"Well. We're about to find out,"
Six hummed as they broke through the clouds to a city built into the side of a mountain, that system had calculated this was the equine-species's capital.
"System,"
"Yes, user?"
"Drop the cloak,"
(Canterlot)
"EVERYPONY RUN!"
Screams and yelling consumed the streets of Canterlot while the nobility and commoners of Equestria ran from the alien craft that appeared out of nowhere. It hovered in the sky coming to land in the main street of Canterlot that led to the castle. The royal guard had already moved in, circling the craft as it slowly touched down on the cobblestone road with metal legs coming from it's body as it came to a halt. Forming a circle of spears and shields around the metal craft that went silent as whatever powered was silenced.
The princesses were already upon the alien craft before the vessel's wings cooled.
Celestia and Luna stood at what was believed to be the front of the craft while Captain Magnus saluted them along with the royal honor guard.
"Magnus?" Celestia only needed to speak the pillar's name for him to go at ease along with the rest of the honor guard.
"The unknown craft has not moved since we formed a defensive ring around it in which the energy source that seemed to power it had gone still," Magnus turned to the ship. "Since then it has not shown any signs of movement,"
After hearing Magnus' report, the two princesses looked at the strange vessel. The metal vessel looked like a metal airship but was much smaller and far more advanced than anything either princess had ever seen, they would dare say this strange ship was more advanced than the aircraft from the human world. However the ship did bear some familiar markings on it's haul, the two immortals had seen such markings before during the era of the pillars they looked similar to markings from Stonehoof's people.
"Strange," Celestia whispered to herself upon seeing the vessel.
"More strange than those safes sister?" Luna asked to which Celestia nodded in response.
"Magnus,"
"Yes, your majesty?"
"Send for Stonehoof," Celestia ordered to which the pillar nodded.
"Soarin! Fire! Get your tails over here!" Magnus barked, and the two wonderbolts zipped over to him as he relayed Celestia's orders.
"Sister I doubt Stonehoof would know what this vessel is," Luna responded.
"I agree; however, those markings are similar to the ones of his clan. Perhaps he knows what they mean and what this vessel could—" Celestia's words were interrupted as the vessel hissed as part of the ship began to open.
The guards before the princesses readied themselves as the part that opened turned out to be part of a ramp while steam flowed out of the now-open alien ship. Stepping forth from the steam came a creature. Its body was covered in armor from its legs to its head; not a single piece of its body wasn't covered in the strange metal case it had.
The armor's design matched the design of the spacecraft, grey armor donned with white runes and markings covered the alien's suit. It looked like a diamond dog at first yet it bore only the legs and tail of one, barely anything else told them this was some canine beast, it could be a vulpine for that manner or something else entirely they had no concept of. It had no visible face save for a helm that covered the entire head of the creature in a simple mask designed in a sharp angle. Then there were the eyes, piercing yellow eyes burned in what looked like hallowed sockets in the faceplate that stared down the princesses like they were it's prey.
All were silent as the creature stepped off the ramp and onto the cobbled road where the ship had landed, as it did the alien stood still while it's tail swayed side to side almost in thought. Not a pony said a whisper among themselves as they focused solely on the alien before them.
They didn't even realize the craft the alien came from had gone silent.
Nothing but the wind blowing in the air.
The alien was the first to break the silence, in perfect Equestrian it spoke.
"Salutations," The sharp burning eyes then turned into friendly expressions as they gave a warm wave to the pony's surrounding it. "I come in peace,"
Author's Note
Alright, chapter 2! Sorry for the wait, work has been killer lately and I've been on wattpad working on those stories as well.
Lost a beat it's a long story lads and lasses.
So just a quick note I've been trying to write as much as I can however it's spooky mouth and well... Halloween events in Halo, Fortnite, Siege, and DBD? They take a lot of my free time ontop of work, not to mention the new Sea of Thieves update. (Honestly, I should put this in a blog but I feel this wouldn't be read if I did so there it is here)
Now as for the story... the one thing I can never seem to explain quite right is a helmet design like Six's at all. I did have a example of what I had imaged but I lost the imagine since I took too long to post this chapter. (Then again I don't really post pictures in my stories anymore so there is also that)
The ending here... well I thought to give Six that classical line of 'we come in peace' , I wanted to do a bawitgranaweeninybond reference (as to show there is some part of Six's human past still living around in his mind all be it fragmented) but I fear there isn't anyone here who would get that reference. But to all that don't
I did think about extending the chapter a bit more but I feel if I did I'll be really pushing myself and break the story. Still I am trying to get this out for ya'll...
Also I WILL GET to the part where it's explained why equestria wasn't effected by the tear! Please stop spamming me with questions! (Not you guys: Wolf lord, Magos, Dealer)
It kinda of defeats the purpose of a story if all I do is explain everything in the first chapter, it doesn't leave a good mystery or having people ask questions.
Before I go spoiling the story I'll leave ya'll to it.
