//-------------------------------------------------------// New life and same sisters. -by Kingless knight- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// First week in the new city //-------------------------------------------------------// First week in the new city Chrysalis carefully arranged the portrait of her sisters in their disguises in her new apartment in the Crystal Empire. She stepped back, admiring her handiwork with a satisfied nod. "Alright! Chrysalis, you have a new opportunity! A new chance with new goals," she muttered to herself. Her brow furrowed as she pondered, "Now I just need to figure out how to feed on love without getting myself caught or kicked out." A sudden knock at the door interrupted her thoughts. "Coming!" she called out, quickly shifting into her disguise - a pale lavender coat with a pink mane adorned with red highlights. As she opened the door, an unexpected force pushed it into her muzzle, and a figure stepped in uninvited. The intruder, sporting a yellow coat and a darker orange mane with gold highlights, surveyed the room through sunglasses. Raising them, she let out a dramatic sigh. "Dear, you picked the perfect starting area, the first floor close to the basement! Just Perfect!" Her voice dripped with sarcasm. Chrysalis closed and locked the door, reverting to her normal form. She rubbed her muzzle, mildly irritated by the rude entrance. "Thanks, Spindle. Nice of you to visit; you didn't have to push the door into my face." Spindle, engulfed in golden flames, transformed and handed her sister a bag of bits. "Oh, thank you; you didn't have to," Chrysalis said, surprised by the gesture. She began counting the bits while Spindle laughed joyfully. “Don't eat my greed till I finish counting," Chrysalis warned, only half-joking. Spindle plopped down on the couch, making herself at home. "Well, I thought I should visit my baby sister since you're no longer an angry or power-hungry jerk." Her gaze wandered around the room, her expression morphing into a frown. "Your living room looks better than my office," she remarked, flicking one of the ferns decorating the space. Chrysalis chuckled, unable to resist a jab at her sister's taste. "That's because you fill your office with gaudy trash. I mean, that portrait of stallions playing volleyball?" Spindle's cheeks didn’t flushed, but her smirk showed no sign of shame. Chrysalis blushed in return, shaking her head. "You're unbelievable, Spindle." "Oh, it's style," Spindle defended, waving a hoof dismissively. "Plus, I'm single, rich, and powerful. I don't give a buck what other creatures think when I own forty percent of Equestrias wealth!" Chrysalis rolled her eyes, exasperated. "Did you come here to gloat about your wealth or what? Because I'm pretty sure if I produced a princess, she would feed off envy, and then you can come here and gloat." Spindle sighed, her expression turning more serious. She stood up and teleported a suitcase into the room, adopting a business-like demeanor. "Now! You need love, but not take. So first step, daycares!" she announced, opening the case. Chrysalis's eyebrows shot up at the idea. "You're right, though I would need training first." Spindle triumphantly produced a foal care diploma from the suitcase. "How did you-" Chrysalis began, but Spindle cut her off with a chuckle. "Simple, I'm rich, and I can bribe any little mare I want. I never overdo it though." she said with a wink. Chrysalis let out a relieved breath, feeling some of the worry about consuming love without being caught leave her body. "Thank you, Spindle. Now I just need to worry about getting enough love to keep my future hive fed." Spindle put her hoof around her sisters long neck. "That's just the starts, after that prom photograph, then wedding planning, catering, Honeymoon hotels, love hotels, couples counseling, mommy and baby courses and then Daycares! Full circle of love consumed it's the circle of love baby sis do you get it?!" Chrysalis nodded slightly unnerved by how intense spindle was. Chrysalis thought through it. "So you're treating this like a business? One builds on the other until 'you're selling the trash you make' as a metaphor." Spindle nodded. "Alright I'm every thankful Spindle but how would I afford all of that?" Spindle removed her. "Simple I got the bits, the cash, the clams. I help all our baby sisters out, Emilia with horror theme park that only opens during nightmare night season, cocoons funeral home empire, Myrcecia's stadiums seriously those fans' anger during matches produce enough rage to feed them for month's. Now we just wait until you have big enough hive to support the infrastructure of this plan." Chrysalis squinted at spindle suspicious. "You're going to get me in debt aren't you?" Spindle laughed. Pulled Chrysalis close. "Ofcourse but once everything is set up you can pay me off in ten years. Seriously the love industry is unbelievably profitable. Better than Emilia and seasonal amusement only payed her mortgage last century ago, most of the time she sleeps or builds another ride." Chrysalis face hoofed. "Spindle I think I will just get a loan from a real bank, because honestly I certain I will end up being your tributary till I get gray hair." Spindle shrugged. Spindle smirked. "Ok, so how about he have some stallion to my hotel room?" Chrysalis raised a brow. "You got a hotel room?" Spindle smirked already showing off her wealth again. "Well I know a nice bar." The next day Chrysalis woke up in a bed, her head pounding like it was a rock concert. She blinked, trying ignore the pain, she looked around and found an address scrawled on her front leg in smudged ink, and to her astonishment, Spindle was hanging from the chandelier, accompanied by a pegasus who looked equally disoriented. The room was in disarray, evidence of their wild night scattered about. Chrysalis groaned, her voice hoarse. "Never going with you to get a drink again." She rubbed her temples, vowing to herself that this would be the last time she let Spindle talk her into such escapades Spindle raised her mumbling a few curses. "Yea, I party too hard, BUCK! Where's my purse?" She fell to the ground stood back up and went to get some breakfast. The Pegasus groaned still hanging on the the chandelier. "I think she broke my hip." Chrysalis sighed got out of the bed and went to get breakfast. Chrysalis was in the dining hall and rubbed her with a ice cube and had a mimosa on the table. "Are you treating this like your vacation?” She asked drinking her mildly alcoholic orange juice. Spindle nodded eating her breakfast made up of multiple eggs pancakes and hash browns. ”Yea, it’s not every day I get away from my offspring. Formless I needed a break, where else then the crystal empire?” She started rapidly swallowing down her food. Chrysalis nodded taking a few drinks from her mimosa. “I can understand but last night.” She paused remembering the night. “I will just say I didn’t except you drinking all that crystal wine in an hour or those Pegasus.” Spindle chuckled. “They have the best stamina and I had fifteen bottles don’t judge me.” Chrysalis nodded trying erase the night from her memories. “I’m almost sure you caused a bar fight. After you changed the pony’s perception to make them believe the cider prices changed and then the bar tender joined fighting back the customers.” Spindle laughed remembering that, Chrysalis just let a defeated sigh. “So whose next after you?” Spindle finished her mimosa. “I think Emilia or Archania because they don’t do much and their schedules are free.” Chrysalis smiled remembering them being the least likely to cause anymore chaos. “Oh just for the record I have you scheduled an interview next week with Mrs Calm gem at 9am, don’t worry I don’t own it, most of the stuff I own are in Equestria.” Chrysalis eyes widen. “We’re going shopping once the hangover stop.” Author's Note My head Canon there’s a pony conspiracy that says that some influential ponies are actually former members of Chrysalis Changeling who are still secretly ruling from the shadows. Only that it’s only half right, as most business figures are actually members of Spindle's hive. //-------------------------------------------------------// Greaser sister. //-------------------------------------------------------// Greaser sister. Rose Touch separated the two quarrelling foals from each other. "No smokey quartz, you can't just hit your friends." She told them firmly but kindly, Pearl Light ran behind Rose Touch's leg after hearing the commotion. Smokey Quartz was led to the time-out corner by Rose Touch, and Pearl Light went back to playing her puzzle. Rose Touch smiled seeing the little ones enjoying their playtime before their parents picked them up; she would like it more with less squabbling or *Zap*. She turned to see a unicorn filly with a glowing horn, looking surprised as the other foals around her. "Magic is tricky, isn't Winter Star?" Rose asked gently, and the filly nodded. “Need some help practicing?” Winter Star nodded and Rose touch helped her levitate a black toward her. "It’s not hard with a little right?” Winter stare cheered. “Yea!” Her horn Zapped the ceiling. “Oops.” Rose touch had a Gentle smile. “That's why we don't point our horns at other ponies, right?" Winter Star nodded again, hugging Rose Touch's leg. Rose rubbed the fillies back, reassuring her she didn't do anything wrong. Once the colts and fillies got picked up, Rose helped the foals gather their belongings, making sure each foal had their precious toy or drawing with them. After everyone left with their parents, she took her apron off, then saw her coworker already to leave. "Goodbye, Sweet Nuzzle." She called her coworker. "Tell me how your date turns out." Sweet Nuzzle blushed, pink sneaking into her cheeks. "Oh Rose, don't tease me," she giggled. "Have a nice weekend; didn't you mention your sister is visiting?" Rose Touch nodded and smiled, hanging her apron. "That's right. It'll be nice to catch up." Sweet Smilled. "Must be nice coming from a big family." Rose shrugged, retrieving her purse from her locker. "Well, it's not all kisses; mostly fights over the last slice of cake in the fridge, especially with six sisters." She chuckled, remembering some of the chaos from her childhood. Sweet Nuzzle let out a low whistle. "Your parents must have been busy." Her eyes widening at the thought of so many siblings. Rose touched laughed, heading to the exit. "Yeah, they were. Bye, Sweetie." Sweet touch locked the door. Rose touch walked through the glistering roads of the crystal empire. She entered her apartment. She turned the valve and added a generous amount of fragrant bubbles. She stepped into the tub, and her form burnt away her current form and transformed into her real Chrysalis form, which also heated the water further into a steam. "Nothing better than coming after filling up on love." She sighed constantly. Then she paused, and her smile morphed to a frown as a realisation hit her. "Archania will ruin my tub for bucking months, with goo hair." She sang already, dreading her sister's visit and the cleanup afterwards. Chrysalis waited at the Crystal Empire train station. Scanning as the train stopped, she anxiously looked, and Archania stepped out of the train in a unicorn form. Archia stood out like a septum piercing on a five-year-old. Archania's white coat gleamed and her fiery crimson mane styled wildly, and she had multiple piercings. Adorned her ears glittering against the sunlight, not to mention the detailed tattoo of a nightmare moon decorating her leg, which caused some turn of heads and curious glances from ponies. "Hey!" Archania said with her ears jinggling as she walked toward Chrysalis' disguise. "Nice hair, let's go; I need some food." Chrysalis brought Archania to a nearby restaurant, and her table manners were horrible, and that was intended. "Arch rock, maybe you should use a fork." Archania then started picking with her hoofs, causing many disgusted looks at her. Then she spit on the plate and stood up, placing a shackle of bits. "I'm full; let's go to your place." Chrysalis stood up, followed her, opened the door, and sat on her couch, returning to her normal form; her hair oozed on the furniture and floor. She spread her front legs on the back of the couch. Archania sighed, satisfied at the emotions she caused. Chrysalis just got annoyed but calmed herself. “It’s been a few centuries since we last met. How have you been?” Archina smiled full of pride. “You boy, I have been disguised as a bucking rocker pony for the last few years—the emotion produced by parents?— Pure disgust, absolutely delicious! I will have a concert here in the gemstone empire on Wednesday, so I will be crashing with you.” Chrysalis' eyes widened in horror. “I need a bath. Where’s your bathroom?” Chrysalis pointed to the bathroom; once Archania left the room, Chrysalis grabbed a pillow and screamed into it. Rose Touch was drinking her coffee. Nap time meant break time. “So how was your date?” Sweet Nuzzle finished her own. “He was a gentle stallion. I mean, seriously, he treated me like a princess." She gushed. "Then we went to his place and found out we had the same taste in music, and decor was just awesome.” She spoke, radiating love and joy. “We’re going to a concert together; it will be perfect.” Rose touched and smiled, enjoying the story. “How was your sister’s visit?” Rose touches back straight. “Good, she’s a musician, so she barely stays and goes out to bars, and she doesn’t clean her plate. *sigh* She will be staying for another two days.” Sweet Nuzzle looked concerned. “You sure she’s not up to anything?” Rose's touch sighed, frustration evident. “Just tired, and the only thing she’s up to is finding the next stallion to bring to my apartment, and I have to throw them out in the morning.” Sweet Nuzzle chuckled. “She sounds like a character.” Rose Touch laughed wearily. “More than a character. She sleeps the entire day and goes out at night partying like there’s no morning; my apartment smells like cider and mead.” She looked at the clock and went back to work, fearing how she would stay sane for the next two days. Chrysalis came and found the living room being chaotic but also chittering. She came to her room, and a hole under her bed she entered to find a small egg chamber and Archania adding the finishing touches. "Well, I hope you like it; digging through crystals was not easy.” Chrysalis hugged Archania. “Please don’t get mushy on me.” Chrysalis sighed. “Just happy; it's all with work; I forgot about building an egg chamber.” She looked around. “The craftsmanship is impressive.” Archania nodded with a smile, satisfied with her work. “Yeah, I hope this is enough for destroying your bathroom.” Chrysalis chuckled; she couldn’t be angry. “Also here two three VIP tickets; for some reason the concert ponies give these and I never use them, so give it to one of your daycare friends; I don’t care.” Archania stepped out of the egg chamber and made it into the bath. Chrysalis decided to sit there for a few more minutes; she missed the silence. Her eyelids started getting heavy and she fell asleep with her head under her left leg. She woke up in the morning and found the house clean and a breakfast. She was shocked but didn’t hesitate to finish the food and then ran out of the house. After work, she came back to Archania, drinking coffee with a cup of Chrysalis on the table. “You know, combined, our sister's hives could take over all of Equestria.” Chrysalis sighed after taking a sip. “I’m done with that, Archania.” Archania smiled with mild pride. “So how did it start? I mean, one moment you're just Chrysalis, and a millennia later you’re going to conquer Equestria.” Chrysalis let out a long groan. “I don’t remember exactly, but most likely it was a life crisis. I mean, I’m over a thousand years old, and what did I have to show?! I had a hive in the badlands; my hive was starving, and I was an idiot!” She burst into tears. Archinia floated a box of napkins to her sister. “The first time was completely idiotic, but the second time! Now that was really close!” She then took a napkin and cleaned her nose. “I mean, I had the elements of harmony—the princesses and some of the guards—I would have won! The thorax appeared out of nowhere.” Archania nodded. “Are you still sending death threats to Starlight Glimmer and Thorax?” Chrysalis paused looking. “Chrysy.” Archania spoke disappointedly. Chrysalis crossed her legs. “I stopped after the second time.” Archania nodded and took out the letter. “Were you drunk when you wrote this? I mean, the horn penmanship is horrible.” Chrysalis took the letter and read it. “Yeah, make sure you don't misspell.” Chrysalis sighed, remembering when she wrote that one. “Oh right, I wrote this when I went out drinking with Spindle; what’s with her and Pegasi?” Archania shrugged. “I think she just likes to have workers who have high endurance; you know, working twenty-four seven isn’t easy.” Yet Chrysalis had thought. “Do Myceria and Spindle still have races between each other?” Arcahnia face-hoofed, not realising it before. “Exactly, but instead of racing each other, they’re racing their workers because they’re competitive idiots and they can’t have one be shown weak.” Archania chuckled, then laughed. “Yeah, that’s why I visit Myceria as little as possible. Too intense for my taste, the concerts tomorrow at seven.” Chrysalis nodded. “Yeah, I will be there. No worries.” Rose Touch looked at the door and went to the concert. She showed her VIP pass and saw Sweet Nuzzle there. “Sweet?” She asked who was wearing a rocker outfit. “Rose touch! I didn’t know you enjoy nightmare metal!” Rose Touch sighed and looked at the bulky stallion next to her. “You’re Rose Touch? Sweet told me a lot about you.” She shook his hoof. “Steel carver, stallion I have telling you about." Rose Touch and smiled. “I came here because my sister's the main singer. Arch rocker.” "Your sister is Arch rocker?!" Sweet nuzzle ask, Excited and in disbelief. "The Arch Rocker! Who invited Nightmare metal and whose voice can shatter diamond?!" Steel asked Equally amazed. Rose touch slowly nodded confused and not realizing her sister was actually famous. "I... didn't realize she was such a big deal." Mildly shocked sweet nuzzle Bounced, excitement Palpable. "Are you kidding? Arch rocker is legendary!" Steel carver chimed in, his voice filled with awe. "Yea, she's like, the queen of Nightmare Metal! Her concerts are always sold out within minutes!" Rose touch rubbed the back of her head. "She doesn't talk about herself much. She's just Archania to me." "Archania? Is that her real name?" Sweet nuzzle asked leaning closer. Rose Touch's Gulped, realizing her slip-up. "Family nicknames, you know. Don't call her that to her face." She was panicking. "My sister gave me these VIP passes I still have two extra." Rose Touch's Gulped, realizing her slip-up. "Family nicknames, you know. Don't call her that to her face." She was panicking, to changed the subject the pulled the other VIP passes. "My sister gave me these VIP passes I still have two extra, you two wanna join me in the VIP room and backstage?” Sweet eyes widened. “If I swinged the other way I would marry you on the spot!” Steele smiled. "That's so generous of you. I always wondered what happens backstage." As they made their way to the VIP section, the crowd vibrated. Suddenly, a ear-splitting scream echoed through the venue as Arch Rocker took the stage. Sweet nuzzle was hopping with excitement. "This going to be awesome!" "Yea, her concerts are nothing like anything else in Equestria!" Steele Craver said with equally hyped. "This going to be Epic! Up close!" Rose touch nervously laughed. "I hope it lives up to all your expectations." The lights dimmed and then there was a ear piercing screa. All the stage lights turn on all pointing to Arch Rocker. "Whose ready party Til everything is rubble?!" Arch Rockers voice boomed through the stadium and the Crowd went wild stomping and cheering. Ponies stomping, Pegasi flapping their wings and Unicorns firing spell. Rose touch covered her ears at volume but Sweet and Steele cheered with the rest of crowd. As the first chords of "Rotten to the Core" ripped through the air, Chrysalis couldn't help but smirk. The lyrics were clearly about Cozy Glow, the power-hungry filly who'd nearly taken over Equestria. "Little filly with a heart of stone, Thought she'd climb right to the throne. Friendship's just a means to an end, When power's the only friend you'd defend!" The crowd roared, completely oblivious to the true inspiration behind the song. Chrysalis found herself tapping her hoof to the beat, grudgingly impressed by her sister's performance. Archania signed Sweet Nuzzle and her coltfriend's shirts with a flourish, her hoof moving with practiced ease. The two ponies were practically vibrating with excitement, their eyes wide with awe. Sweet Nuzzle nodded enthusiastically. "I can't believe we got to meet Arch Rocker in person! Rose, your sister is amazing!" Rose Touch, still in her disguise, chuckled nervously. "Oh, yes, she's quite... something." Archania, still in her Arch Rocker persona, flashed a toothy grin. "Always happy to meet fans. Now, if you'll excuse us, my sister and I have some catching up to do." signed Sweet Nuzzle and her coltfriend's Shirts and lead chrysalis to her left to her privat room. "We're never going to wash these, are we?" Sweet Nuzzle asked Steele Carver, her voice trembling with excitement. He looked at her, a goofy grin plastered across his face. "Nope, not a chance. This was the perfect second date." Archania sat down. "Phew! What a rush! And the energy! Some of the disgust at rotten to the core!" chrysalis nodded. "Yes well it was something else, why did you pull me here?." She asked stepping purple slime. Archania smiled. "Because I'm proud of you big sis! You actually trying to be better I mean old chrysalis would have taken the Mare's and feed off that stallions love for months." She meant a Sweet Nuzzle and Steele carver. Chrysalis sighed. “Yea, After mom bailed me out of that statue and that court case where the formless appeared, I don’t wanna be that Changeling anymore, also don’t want to be stuck in a statue, again.” Archania ears piercing jingled as she shook her head. “That Must have been on ugly statue! Can’t Imagine being trapped like stuck staring at one scene forever." Chrysalis rubbed her face. “It was, the deafening silence, then the darkness, then the mind going numb. But I’m better taking it day by day still have the urge to take, the conquer to.” Archania laughed in Amusement her Piercings jingling ash shacked her head. “We all do! We just make the focus of our conquest different, mine is conquering the music industry with my amazing songs.” Chrysalis chuckled with a hint of slyness. “And the disgust from scandalized parents is just a bonus?” “Yea you know me Chrysy.” Archania nodded grinned Showing some of her sharp teeth. “But really how are you really holding up?” Chrysalis shrugged sitting down on. “I feel like i Just freshly molted, defenseless weak and very tired.” Archania brow furrowed. “Is it always being surrounded by ponies?” Chrysalis shacked her head. “Yes? No? I don’t know it’s like being locked in a bakery surrounded but not taking it.” Rubbed her temples. “The temptation is always there, you know?” Chrysalis shrugged sitting down on. “I feel like i Just freshly molted, defenseless weak and very tired.” Archania brow furrowed. “Is it always being surrounded by ponies?” Chrysalis shacked her head. “Yes? No? I don’t know it’s like being locked in a bakery surrounded but not taking it.” Rubbed the back of her head. “The temptation is always there, you know?” Archania whistled. “You have some self control, the old Chrysalis would have drained half the empire by now.” Chrysalis groaned. “Don’t remind! Trying to be better and improving.” She let out a sigh. Archania opened the door and Saw Sweet nuzzle and Steele Craver still frozen in shock from having their shirts signed. Archania closed the door. "See you have ponies that care about you, more then most of us can say that! Just keep doing your best and relax." Chrysalis sighed lowering her head. "I suppose you're right." Archania Flopped down next chrysalis "Don't be so don't on the dumbs! I get it change is not easy, especially for us changelings." She grinned. Chrysalis rolled her eyes but couldn't suppress a chuckle. "That was terrible." "you loved it," Archania teased. she sat up. "But really, Chrysy, you're doing great. Those ponies out there? They genuinely like you." Chrysalis looked away. "They like Rose Touch, not me." Archania looked at chrysalis in the eyes. "Rose touch is you just a different side. Like Arch Rock is a different side of me but still me! Rose is just a side you burried away and now rediscovering chrysy.” Chrysalis smiled wiping away a tear. “That’s actually really profound” Archania chuckled. “Let me ask you this: The care and kindness you show those foals that can’t be faked or lied about, right?that’s real right, otherwise they would never show the love you need.” Chrysalis paused Considering her sisters word. Her mind wandered to the daycare the faces of the excited foals each morning. “You’re right. Those foals are so honest and pure." "Exactly!" Archania exclaimed. "You can't fool kids. Chrysy. They see right through you!" Chrysalis opened the door to see Sweet Nuzzle and her coltfriend, still standing there with their jaws hanging open in shock. She couldn't help but chuckle at their dumbfounded expressions. "I think it's time we got you two home," Chrysalis said, gently nudging them. "It's been quite a night, hasn't it?" Sweet Nuzzle blinked rapidly, finally coming out of her starstruck daze. "Oh, Rose! I can't believe we just met Arch Rocker! This is the best night ever!" Steele Carver nodded enthusiastically, his mane still slightly disheveled from the concert. "I never thought I'd be this close to a rock legend. Rose, your sister is incredible!" Chrysalis smiled, a mix of pride and amusement in her eyes. "She certainly is something, isn't she? Come on, let's head out before security thinks we're loitering." As they walked towards the exit, Chrysalis turned back to Archania. "You're off to Yakistan next, right?" Archania grinned, her piercings glinting in the dim backstage light. "You bet! Those yaks won't know what hit 'em. Maybe they'll love it, maybe they'll be disgusted. Either way, it's a win-win for me!" Chrysalis rolled her eyes but couldn't hide her smile. "Just try not to cause an international incident, okay?" "No promises, sis!" Archania laughed, the sound echoing through the empty arena. As they stepped out into the cool night air, Sweet Nuzzle linked her hoof with Steele Carver's, both still buzzing with excitement from the concert. "Rose," Sweet Nuzzle said, her voice soft but filled with gratitude, "thank you so much for this. I don't know how we can ever repay you." Chrysalis felt a warmth spread through her chest, one that had nothing to do with feeding on emotions. "You don't have to repay me. That's what friends are for, right?" The words felt strange on her tongue, but not unpleasant. For a moment, she caught herself wondering if this was what it felt like to have real friends, not just subjects or pawns in a grand scheme. As they walked through the crystal-lined streets, the conversation flowed easily between them. Sweet Nuzzle and Steele Carver recounted their favorite moments from the concert, their voices filled with awe and excitement. Chrysalis found herself genuinely enjoying their company, laughing at their jokes and feeling a sense of belonging she hadn't experienced in centuries. It was a strange feeling, but not an unwelcome one. As they reached Sweet Nuzzle's home, the couple turned to Chrysalis with wide smiles. "Rose, would you like to join us for brunch tomorrow?" Sweet Nuzzle asked. "We'd love to hear more about your family, if you're comfortable sharing." Chrysalis hesitated for a moment, her old instincts screaming at her to decline, to keep her distance. But another part of her, a part that was growing stronger every day, urged her to accept. "I'd love to," she found herself saying, surprising even herself with the sincerity in her voice. As she walked home alone, Chrysalis reflected on the night's events. The concert, the time with her sister, the genuine connection she felt with Sweet Nuzzle and Steele Carver. It was all so different from her old life, yet somehow, it felt right. She thought back to Archania's words about not being able to fool children. Maybe, just maybe, she wasn't fooling anyone anymore. Maybe Rose Touch wasn't just a disguise, but a part of her she had long forgotten. As she reached her apartment, Chrysalis paused at the door. For the first time in a long while, she felt a glimmer of hope for her future in the Crystal Empire. It wasn't the grand conquest she had once dreamed of, but perhaps it was something even better – a chance at a real life, with real connections. With a small smile, she opened the door, ready to face whatever tomorrow might bring.
