The CMC and Rarity and Spike made their way into a gem cave, the CMC were carrying their own supplies.

“Why do we have to come along?” Scootaloo complained.

“Yeah, y'all got Spike here,” AB said

“Because dears, I am babysitting you three and I needed more hands on deck,” Rarity said.

“I don’t need a babysitter,” Scootaloo said indignantly.

“I am afraid you do,” Rarity said as she set up for the trip.

“Yeah this going to be fun,” Spike said.

“Not for us,” Sweetie Belle sighed.

“Now now dears, let us get to work and I assure you you will enjoy it,” Rarity said.

“Ok,” The three fillies sighed.

Over the next hour, the five made some progress in collecting some gems they then stopped for a break.

“Whew, quite a warm day,” AB said fanning herself.

“Can we go yet?” Sweetie Belle whined.

“You're not making the whole way back alone, just a few more gems and then we'll go,” Rarity said and Spike nodded.

The CMC sighed as they got up from their break and resumed collecting gems along with Rarity and Spike.

“I found a patch of rubies here” Spike called to Rarity.

“Oh, good, let me see,” Rarity said as she went over to examine them.

“Hmm,” Sweetie Belle boredly watched them and eventually decided to wander off a little with her friends a bit deeper into the cave.

As Sweetie and the others made their way deeper into the cave they found fewer and fewer gems.

“This is so boring,” Scootaloo sighed.

“Ah agree, sure we cause trouble whenever we are alone but that doesn’t mean we need a babysitter,” AB gruffly said.

“I wish we were old enough we didn’t need a babysitter,” Sweetie said as they searched around for more gems to kill time.

As they searched around Scootaloo walked over to the wall and leaned against it.

“Well there’s no way that’s happening, so we just need to-” Suddenly Scootaloo cried out as the wall she was leaning on broke and she fell over.

“Scoots!” The other two exclaimed and they ran over and saw her on the ground.

“I’m ok I’m ok,” Scootaloo said as she got up and the three suddenly noticed a glow coming from behind them and they turned to see a strange capsule.

“...What is that?” Scootaloo asked.

“I dunno,” AB said as they approached it and they could see their reflections in it.

“Shooould… we find out?” Sweetie asked.

“I don’t know, what if a face-eating alien jumps out,” Scootaloo said with a shiver.

“C’mon, like that ever happens,” AB said before she walked up to it.

“Careful AB,” Sweetie warned.

“Ah will be,” AB then reached forward, and poked it, just to feel it.

And immediately it gave off a hiss and they jumped back in fright, before they could run the capsule opened up.

“Huh?” Scootaloo said.

“What is it?” AB asked as the smoke concealed whatever was in there.

“If something moves, run,” Sweetie said, ready to run for it.

When the smoke cleared they saw…. A strange flat square shaped device.

“What is it?” Sweetie asked.

“Touch it,” Scootaloo dared AB.

“A-Alright,” AB said as she stepped closer and reached in for it.

She grabbed it and pulled it out with no problems and she held the slightly cool device in her hand.

“What did we stumble across?” Scootaloo asked.

“Some kind of flat thing, I… I wish I knew at least a little bit of what it was,” Sweetie asked…. And then the device suddenly gained a screen.

“Whoa!” they all said and suddenly the device warmed up before words appeared on it.

“Limited knowledge on device downloading….. Download complete…” Then suddenly Sweetie cried out in pain, clutching her head.

“Sweetie?!” AB and Scoots cried as she stumbled back.

Information filled her head, and while she knew it wasn’t everything, she knew enough now…

When the pain eased she looked at the device with wide eyes.

“What? What happened?” Scootaloo asked.

“Girls… we found something we should have found sooner,” Sweetie said in awe.

“What?” The two questioned.

“The device! It’s called the Reala Device! And it can do anything!” Sweetie said with excitement.

“Uh… did you hit your head or something?” Scootaloo said.

“Yeah, that sounds-” AB said before Sweetie shook her head.

“I wished for knowledge on that thing and now I suddenly know! Listen! I’m telling the truth!” Sweetie said as she swiped the device from Scootaloo and AB.

“Hey!” Scootaloo said.

“Watch, I wish you two believed me,” Sweetie said.

Suddenly the device clicked on again…

“Making friends believe you…. Downloading….. Download complete,” The device said before suddenly AB and Scootaloo winced and shook their heads before they stared at Sweetie with shocked faces.

“I suddenly believe you! What did you do?!” Scootaloo demanded.

“I asked it to make you two believe me and it did,” Sweetie simply responded.

“Ah feel silly fer doubtin ya,” AB said nodding.

“The things we could do with this,” Sweetie said.

“I know one,” Scootaloo said before turning and pointing at her wings “Can it fix my small wings?” Scootaloo asked.

“....I think so, let’s try it, I wish Scootaloo had bigger wings, big enough she could fly with them,” Sweetie said.

“Downloading new wingspan… download complete,” Suddenly Scootaloo’s wings glowed and they doubled in size and then some until they were fit for flying.

“Oh my gosh… I have real wings!” Scootaloo cheered.

“We gotta tell Rarity-” AB said before they both looked at her.

“You kidding, the moment this falls into anypony else's hands they’ll take it away and we’ll never get it back,” Scootaloo said.

“Won’t Rarity get suspicious? About the wings I mean,”

“True, Scoots, do you mind if we shrink them for n-”

“Oh hey you three, done excavating elsewhere?” Rarity asked as she and Spike approached.

“Oh! Uh, hi,” Sweetie hid the device.

“Hmm?” Rarity looked at Scootaloo who was trying and failing to hide her bigger wings, she approached.

“Scootaloo, when did-” Rarity began and the three began to panic…. Until…

“-you get so messy? You're covered in dirt, I’ll have to run you a bath posthaste when we get home,” Rarity said.

“Huh?” Scootaloo noted she didn’t mention the bigger wings…. Suspicious she decided to test it “Hey Rares.” Scootaloo said.

“What?” Rarity said.

“Notice anything different about me?” Scootaloo asked and the other two CMC members looked at her with ‘what are you doing?’ faces.

“No not really, why?” Rarity asked.

“Huh?” Sweetie and AB said.

“Like my wings?” Scootaloo said spreading her bigger wings.

“...Their the same as ever, big enough for your body size, why?” Rarity asked.

Scootaloo smirked “Oh never mind, it’s nothing,” Scootaloo said and Rarity shrugged before they headed back.

“Girls, she didn’t see anything different!” Scootaloo whispered to Sweetie and AB.

“Ah know! This device can make anypony believe what we change…. Ya’ll know what this means?” Sweetie asked.

“We’re untouchable,” AB said with an eager smile.

“Come come, we should get back to work,” Rarity said.

“Yeah, I found a good gem patch down here-” Sweetie rolled her eyes and spoke outloud.

“I wish Rarity and Spike were done with gem excavating today,” Sweetie said.

Suddenly Rarity and Spike quieted and then looked at them.

“Suddenly, I feel we have enough, let us head home instead,” Rarity said.

“Yeah,” Spike stretched.

The CMC high-fived each other.

As they went outside Scootaloo wasted no time taking to the air, laughing as she did.

“Wow! This is what real flying is like!?” Scootaloo cheered.

“Scootaloo! Come back down!” Rarity called.

“No way! I’ve been groundbound my whole life! Time to fly!” Scootaloo cheered.

“That filly, I swear she takes too much after Rainbow,” Rarity sighed and they continued pulling the cart.

“I can help Rarity,” Spike said as the small dragon grabbed the bar and pulled the cart along with them.

“Alright,” Rarity said and they made their way home.

“Hmm…” AB said looking up at the hot sun.

“What is it?” Sweetie asked.

“It is a hot day, why not have Rarity treat us?” AB said.

“Do it,” Sweetie said with an eager look.

“Ah wish Rarity would treat us all to ice cream,” AB said.

Suddenly Rarity paused and then turned to the others “I would like to thank you all for your help, how does ice cream sound?” Rarity asked.

“Heck yeah!” Spike cheered.

“Sounds good,” Sweetie said with a smile.

After retrieving their ice cream and using several wishes to get all the goodies they wanted on it, they ate it and then the group went back to the Boutique.

As the three were about to run upstairs with their new device Rarity stopped them.

“Hold it! Aren’t you three going to help Spike and me unload this?” Rarity asked.

“What?” Scootaloo complained.

“I am your babysitter, come let us do this together, you’ll find it fun,” Rarity said.

“Ugh…wait… I wish we were allowed to go upstairs,” Scootaloo said.

“...Don’t we all, come now, chop chop,” Rarity began shifting through the gems.

“What?!” Scootaloo looked at the device and it said ‘Cooling down, please wait,’

“This thing has a limit?” Sweetie said.

“Seems like it,” AB said.

“Darn it…” Scootaloo said.

“Let’s move guys,” Spike said.

“Ugh,” the three went to help.

After half an hour of unloading gemstones from the cart, they went up to Sweetie’s room to continue playing with the device.

And they found that it took a full hour to replenish their uses so they mainly sat around talking.

But they knew as soon as it was ready… it was time to play.
