All ponies in the Royal Equestrian Armed Forces were taught that giving your life in the line of duty was the ultimate sacrifice, and while noble, should only be made in the most extreme cases. Eventide Construct, a mere logistics pony in the Royal Equestrian Navy, never expected to have to make such a sacrifice in her career, but life seldom worked out in the way a pony wants it to. During the return of Lord Tirek, she was sent on what should have been a resupply job to a Shadowbolt Squadron reconnaissance team, only to meet her end in the line of duty.

Endings, however, are just beginnings. Now, Eventide finds herself in a strange new world full of strange bipedal creatures the likes of which only the most ardent of cryptozoology nuts and conspiracy theorists believe in—humans. Worse, she's now one of their youths, and about to get herself wrapped up in the mania of the world's most curious meddler.
