We, the weak, the hollow cast,
Hearts burdened by a sorrowed past.
Shadows of what we used to be,
Fading in a world that cannot see.
Once we thrived, once we soared,
Now forgotten, now ignored.
A race left starving, clinging to life,
Bound by hunger, ruled by strife.
Our bodies frail, our mandibles twitch,
Hunger burns, an endless itch.
Hollow eyes see, but do not gleam,
Shattered fragments of a broken dream.
For we are cursed to walk unseen,
Feeding off what might have been.
We hide beneath the moon’s pale light,
Doomed to hunger through endless night.
As they feel, so we consume,
As they sleep, we haunt their gloom.
They see us not, though we are near,
Taking all that they hold dear.
Their joy, their love, emotions bright,
We feast upon them through the night.
Yet still we starve, still we yearn,
For deep within, our hunger burns.
Smile, then laughter, touch, then kiss,
Feed the hunger, fill the abyss.
Moments stolen, sweet and rare,
We take, though none are left to spare.
We cherish feelings they'll never miss,
Before darkness claims them with its kiss.
A fleeting joy, then we depart,
Leaving emptiness where once was heart.
We, the hunted, we, the pest,
No pony grants us peace or rest.
Their fear of us runs cold and deep,
So hide we must, we dare not sleep.
For in their world, we are the blight,
A scourge that haunts both day and night.
So in the shadows, we remain,
Living with our endless pain.
Is this fair, this cruel fate?
Our race is dying still, we wait.
All we sought was life to thrive
To live, to prosper, to survive.
But now our kind fades with the wind,
Our hope grows thin, our light grows dimmed.
Do they not see, do they not care?
We sought their love, yet they won’t share.
So we prayed to our Queen, whispers fading,
A dying chant, our hopes cascading.
"Prey not, fear not, do not flee,
Stay strong, feed well, disappear with me."
For she alone, our guiding light,
Leads us through this endless night.
She hears our cries, our silent pain,
And so she rises once again.
When our time comes, we will not mourn,
For joy awaits in lands reborn.
Oh Queen, our mother, our guiding star,
You hold our future, near or far.
In your embrace, we place our trust,
Though our bodies fade, our spirit’s just.
With you, we rise, with you, we fight,
To reclaim the day from endless night.
Mother heard her children’s plea,
With heart weighed down by their agony.
Her starving nymphs, in need of feed,
Unspoken, she resolved their need.
She knew the time had come at last,
To act before our hope had passed.
With iron will, her plan took form,
A storm to rise against the norm.
Into the lion's den, she strides,
With courage clad, and pride her guide.
To Canterlot she journeys, with grace,
Seeking hope in the enemy’s place.
Among their joy, she felt the fire,
Their love so pure, their hearts’ desire.
The wedding bells, their sweetest sound,
She knew the feast she’d soon have found.
The streets were filled, emotions swirled,
She felt their radiance, raw, unfurled.
A wedding pamphlet caught her eye,
And so, her plan began to fly.
She whispered to her kin with glee,
“Our time has come, soon we’ll be free.”
And as the moon began to set,
She laid the trap they’d not forget.
Then the fateful day arrived,
Our Queen stood tall, her strength revived.
It was time to breach the sacred dome,
To claim this world, to make it home.
We gathered close, our spirits high,
A single goal before our eye.
To overthrow, to take, to reign,
To lift our Queen from all her pain.
We clashed and struck, with hope held tight,
Yearning for a future, free from blight.
And in that moment, swift and bright,
Their barrier crumbled beneath our might.
Our wings spread wide, we took to air,
No more despair, no more despair.
Victory within our grasp,
Freedom in our final clasp.
We descended as the battle raged,
The final act of war was staged.
Queen and Princess, power and pride
Which would stand, and which would slide?
Their horns alight, their wills entwined,
A battle fought not just with mind.
A struggle deep, beyond the flesh,
To forge a future, new and fresh.
The beam of might, celestial light,
Burned through this endless fight.
It clashed with fire, darkened reign,
But Majesty’s rule would not wane.
As if time itself stood still,
Our Queen advanced with iron will.
She fought for us, she fought for more,
For life beyond this endless war.
The earth beneath the heavens met,
A clash of fates, of wills beset.
The ground did shake, the sky did cry,
And still our Queen refused to die.
Her heart was strong, her fire burned,
And all our foes, in fear, had turned.
The crowns of land fell from their place,
Our Queen unleashed her fierce embrace.
To seal our fate, our final fight,
We grasped their hope, the Elements’ might.
They faltered, fell, their strength undone,
As we emerged, the battle won.
Their royals ceased their futile fight,
While guards fell swiftly, out of sight.
As the trap was sprung and all was done,
The Elements now could save no one.
Their hope, once bright, had turned to ash,
And in our victory, we did dash.
The war was ours, the day was new,
Our Queen had led us strong and true.
Now we, the hunters,once called pest,
Have put our endless hunger to rest.
In our Queen, we trust, we follow,
The hive shall rise from depths once hollow.
Together now, we shall ascend,
Our hunger sated, our war at end.
The Changelings’ tale, no longer woe
For in our triumph, we shall grow.
Yet in the shadows, a whisper remains,
A question born of lingering pains:
Will we be free, or forever bound,
In the echoes of a world profound?
As we rise anew, with hope in sight,
We cherish the past, our endless fight.
For in our hearts, the truth we keep
That in this darkness, we still shall leap.
