This is an alternate version of events during the episode "The Perfect Pear," alongside the fact that in this story, Buttercup and Bright Mac are still alive.

After twenty-five years of absence, Buttercup learns that her father has returned to Ponyville but isn't sure if she can forgive him after he tried to force her to choose between moving to Vanhoover with him, his family, over her husband. Her choice in this situation could lead to continuing or ending the feud.
