In the future, now that Twilight's running the kingdom all on her own, she's having her first meeting with the Saddle Arabians. In Saddle Arabia, the mare is the head of the household, but a mare without a household is unworthy of respect. Twilight needs somepony to act as her husband, just as Celestia used to in previous meetings with them. Where will she find one on such short notice?

And that's only the problem she knows about. The problem that she doesn't yet know is a more secretive part of Saddle Arabian diplomacy: they'll expect a foursome together with Twilight and her "husband" to celebrate successfully closing the deal. Princesses Celestia and Luna never had a problem with that. Twilight might have to go a little further than she planned with her "husband" to really convince them.
