You Okay?
Worried
Load Full Story“Howdy Tiara, why are you cryin’?” Apple Bloom inquires as she approaches the crying pink filly before her.
“My family is falling apart,” sniffles Tiara as she dries her tears with her hoof.
“Oh Tiara, what happened?” Inquires Apple Bloom as she sits down at Tiara’s side.
“Dad cheated on mom with that Fleur de Lis mare,” sniffles Tiara as she lets out a sigh. “I can’t believe he’d hurt mom like that, hurt me like that.”
“Yeah, that makes sense,” responds Apple Bloom with a nod. “Do you know how long it’s been goin’ on?”
“Few months now,” responds Tiara with a sniffle as she wipes her nuzzle with her hoof before drying her tears. “It’s just not fair.”
“Yes, you’re right, it’s not right, it’s not fair,” responds Apple Bloom with a nod as she does her best to comfort Tiara.
“Yeah, and mom is filing for divorce,” responds Tiara with a sniffle, “and you know I don’t blame her for it.”
“Yes, I do,” responds Apple Bloom with a nod as she continues to try and comfort her friend.
“And dad has probably done it before with other mares too and I’m honestly scared to find out,” Tiara sniffles once more as she wipes away her tears with her hoof the best she can.
“Yes, probably,” responds Apple Bloom with a nod. “Have you talked to your ma yet?”
“Yes, of course,” responds Tiara sincerely, her dismissive personality gone. “We talked about it a bit this morning before she brought me to school.”
“Okay,” responds Apple Bloom with an understanding nod. “An’ what did she say?”
“She couldn’t stop crying, saying how he betrayed her, which yeah, he did,” responds Tiara with a sniffle as she dries her tears once more. “He betrayed her big time. Betrayed us both big time.”
“Yes, he did, yer right,” responds Apple Bloom with an understanding nod. “Family betrayal sucks. I’ve heard stories of it within my own family.”
“Yeah, you’re right, betrayal sucks,” Agrees Tiara with a sniffly nod. She falls bawling into Apple Bloom’s hooves.
“Shhh, shhh, it’ll be alright,” Apple Bloom does her best to comfort her friend, “shhh, shhh, shhh, it’ll be alright.”
“Yeah, says the orphan,” sniffles Tiara jokingly, “says the orphan.”
“If you think you saying that still bugs me, it doesn’t,” responds Apple Bloom as she continues to comfort her friend, “it very much doesn’t.”
“Yeah, fair enough,” sniffles Tiara as she lets out a small little chuckle, “fair enough.”
Apple Bloom helps Tiara to her hooves, “come on, let’s go get something to eat, we can continue our chat at Sugar Cube Corner, how does that sound?”
“Okay, I am a bit hungry, come to think of it,” responds Tiara with a nod. The two then make their way to Sugar Cube at last, soon getting their treats before going and sitting in a corner. Apple Bloom continues to listen to Tiara vent as she eats on her apple strudel.
After awhile, the two are joined by Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo as well. “Hey, what’s going on?” Sweetie inquires, concerned for their former bully.
“Her dad cheated on her ma and her ma is filing for divorce,” responds Apple Bloom levelheadedly with a sigh.
“Oh Tiara, we’re so sorry,” responds Sweetie as she sits down at Tiara’s side.
“Yeah, thanks,” responds Tiara with a sniffle, “thanks.” She wipes her tears with her hoof, “thanks.”
“Yeah, of course,” responds Sweetie with a nod, “if you ever need anything…”
“Yeah, thanks,” responds Tiara with a sniffle, “thanks…”
“You’re welcome,” responds Sweetie as she gently rubs Tiara’s back with her hoof to help calm her down, “you’re welcome.”
“So what will happen next?” Scootaloo inquires of Tiara with concern in her voice.
“Dad will get kicked out, mom will get custody of me, yeah,” responds Tiara with a sigh. “We go to court later in the week for the custody stuff and the divorce proceedings.”
“Oh Ti,” responds Scootaloo, “court stuff isn’t fun. Between fosters, getting my aunts as my permanent custodians, court sucks.”
“Yeah, but it’s a necessity unfortunately,” responds Tiara with a sigh, “unfortunately…”
“Yeah, I know,” responds Scootaloo with a sigh as she does her best to help comfort Tiara, “I know.”
“Do you want us to come with you?” Apple Bloom inquires.
“While yes I would, court won’t allow that,” responds Tiara as she shakes her head. “Thanks though.”
“Yes, of course,” responds Apple Bloom with an understanding nod, “of course.”
After awhile, the three walk Tiara home to her mother’s before heading to Sweet Apple Acres with a picnic with AJ, RD, Rarity, Fluttershy, Pinkie, and RD.
“About time you fillies showed up, what’s up?” AJ inquires with concern in her voice.
“Tiara’s parents are getting a divorce and she’s taking it rather hard,” responds Apple Bloom with a sigh. “I feel bad for her, sis.”
“Yes, and understandably so,” responds AJ with a nod as she dries her little sister’s tears, “understandably so. Family is messy.”
“Yeah, no kidding,” responds Apple Bloom as she clings to her big sister and continues to cry in her hooves, “no kidding.”
After a few more minutes, the two go and join the rest on the picnic blanket in the orchard at last. They all chatter and smile as they talk about their days, except for the fillies who can’t seem to get their minds off of their talk with Diamond Tiara.
“Fillies, lighten up, Tiara will be fine,” AJ does her best to reassure the fillies.
“Yes, but still,” respond the three with a sigh, “still…”
Meanwhile at the Rich family house, Tiara enjoys a quiet dinner with her mom. “Why so sad, baby girl?” Inquires her mom with concern in her voice.
“Not thrilled that dad cheated on you, not thrilled about the divorce, that’s all,” responds Tiara with a sigh.
“Yes, I know you’re not thrilled about it but you know it’s for the best,” responds her mom with a sigh as she dries her daughter’s tears with her hooves, “it’s for the best.”
“Yeah, I know,” responds Tiara as she cries in her mother’s hooves, “I know…”
