My Little Pony: Equestria Girls-Crystal problem

"What the hell are you doing here?" asked Sombra, with a mixture of anger and surprise in his voice, "I saw you die, so how the hell are you still alive?"

"To tell you the truth, I don't know either!" the shadow leader shrugged and continued his monologue, "At that moment I thought I was going to die, that it was the end, etc.

But then I got here. I'm sure I don't know how, but I have a hunch... -he pointed to the emerald green crystal mirror, -I think the energy released by you, the two crystal hearts and your friends' trinkets was so much that it created a momentary space-time rift between these two universes, right where you destroyed most of my body.

The rift and this crystal mirror were linked, and then what was left of my body was transferred into this robot body."

"Did Starswirl's master have something to do with the creation of this mirror?" thought Sombra, frowning.

Seeing this, the shadow leader turned his head to look directly into Sombra's eyes before speaking.

"What, little prince, do you know something?" The Shadow Leader asked in a mocking tone.

"First of all, I'm king to you!" said Sombra pompously, to which the Shadow Leader's reply was a tone of anger and surprise, for he could not understand how the fellow he called a mutt could be accepted as king by what he considered to be the lower life forms, namely the ponies, " For the second time, forget about me telling YOU!" spat Sombra.

"Actually, you don't have to tell me...Because your body will be mine!" said the shadow leader calmly.

"What...?!", Sombra snapped, and then continued irritably, "Well, you can forget it!"

"Imagine that," he stepped closer to Sombra, then looked sharply into his eyes, "that wasn't a request!" he turned away from him, then walked over to the machine by the chair.

"And how are you going to do that?" asked Sombra, "Because it doesn't look to me like you have the power to do that!"

"If you'd turn your ugly face to the machine next to you, you'd see what I'm going to use to do it!

First I wanted a new body, but I'll do more with yours!

And now all I have to do is wait until midnight and your body will be mine!" he sneered.

"And what will you do with my body in this world?"

"Not in this, but from whence you came... For there must be a gate in this world, for you had to come through it somewhere!"

"And what good will that do you, they'll stop you anyway!"

"Before they see me, I'll kill anyone who can stop me!" he walked in front of the angry Sombra, then took her chin to look her straight in the eye, "Then I'll kill the ones you love the most... starting with the stupid little girl and her bitch mother, I mean your precious little love..." he let go of his chin and walked away from him.

"'You take that back, or else…' Sombra snarled, with immeasurable fury.

"Or else what...?" snarled the shadow creature, "You can't do anything, and no one can stop you, especially those girls you came here with...," he snorted mockingly, " They have no power!"

Sombra was puzzled by this statement. So the shadow leader doesn't know of their power...It could be used against him.

"I hope they get here in time and stop him...Otherwise Equestria will be in big trouble!" -He put his face in a neutral position to avoid being caught.

"Though I don't see why I'm wasting my time on you..." -he stepped away from him, then walked back to the crystal.

"Your plan will fail!" shouted Sombra as the shadow leader returned to the crystal.

Back to the girls

"Where could Sombra have gone? "Fluttershy asked in a low and trembling voice, "Could the one we are looking for have taken her?"

"Most likely!" announced Twilight, and then sighed sadly, "Let's hope she's all right!"

"We've got to find her somehow!" said Rainbow Dash firmly, "But we've got to get out first."

"And how?" asked Rarity, "We can't climb because the crystal wall is too steep!" she pointed to the crystals.

"What if we break it?" guessed Applejack, "My super strength would be enough... I think!"

"You could try, but I doubt you could...If it left us alive, we could probably not break it!"

Applejack stood up and walked over to a wall just in front of the cave entrance.

Meanwhile, the others ducked behind him, shielding their eyes from any crystal shards.

Applejack gathered his strength and pulled his arms back, closing his eyes and slamming them hard against the crystal.

When it hit, cracks appeared, running across the crystal dome, and in an instant the dome shattered as the shards of crystal turned to dust as if they had never been there.

This left behind a beautiful cloud of mica, and as quickly as it was formed, it disappeared.

"Well, we did it..." shrugged Twilight.

" YES, IT WORKED!" cheered Rainbow loudly, but the others hushed her as she grinned nervously, "Oh, sorry!" she whispered.

"Hey, the cave is open!" announced Pinkie as she pointed towards the cave entrance.

"It must have been opened by whoever kidnapped Mr. Sombra!" explained Twilight.

"Shall we go then?" asked Rainbow Dash, with great determination in her voice.

"Dash, we can't just go in there, we'd have to figure out a way to find our way back first!" explained Sunset, "It wouldn't be nice to get lost!"

"I have an idea...," said Twilight, and then she pulled out of her bag a small radar-like machine and a black little gadget with a small antenna on top.

She explains that this gadget is left at the entrance so they can return with the radar.

The others tell her it's a good idea, and then Twilight puts the gadget near the cave entrance.

They then put on their night-vision goggles and carefully enter the cave, so as not to step into some kind of trap.

Already at the entrance, they notice that the cave entrance has been completely cleared, leaving a narrow passage that does not look natural, as they notice.

During their journey they did not encounter any traps or difficult obstacles of any kind.

So to their surprise, it was a pretty peaceful trip.

After a few minutes of walking towards their destination, they round a corner and notice a faint light filtering out of the corner at the end of the cave.

They walk slowly towards the corner and peek inside.

There they spot the bound Sombra, and some machinery, and a figure standing in front of the crystal, who turns and starts walking towards Sombra. Luckily he didn't see them, because they pulled their heads back in time.

"Did I see what I saw right? Is that really a robot?" asked Applejack in surprise.

The others nodded.

"So what do we do now?" asked Fluttershy in a low voice, even for the situation, "Barki, or whatever it is, looks pretty strong!"

"Fluttershy's right!" agreed Twilight, "Fighting it with fire would be suicide!"

"But then what do we do?" whispered Applejack, "We can't leave Sombra tied up like this, and judging by the situation, it looks like this robot's intentions are not good!"

They start to think of a plan, before Twilight looks around and spots a few things on the ground.

"I have an idea!" She smiles conspiratorially as she points towards the things.

The others look in the direction she's pointing, then quickly figure out her plan.

Pinkie then pulls a small party cannon from her bag.

"Party cannon?!" she asks quietly, but extremely excited.

Sunset puts her right hand on Pinkie's shoulder, then looks her in the eye and says with a determined smile, "Yes Pinkie, Party Cannon!"

Pinkie smiles with outbursts of happiness, and they get to work on the plan.

Meanwhile, the shadow leader reaches Sombra, who, having nothing else to do, watches the events.

"Well, the great day I have waited for so long has come! As you see," he pointed to the digital clock on his hand, which read midnight, "it's already midnight!

Now all I need is one of these little helmets, -he took a helmet from the top of the machine next to the chair with cables tied into it and began to place the device on Sombra's head, -I can finally have my revenge on you!" he placed it on her head and let out a triumphant laugh.

""PARTYCANNON!!!"-he hears a high-pitched exclamation, which surprises him, but before he can do anything, several pieces of smaller and larger crystal shards, stone fragments, and stalactites, some of which are larger pieces that glitter magenta, plus even magical sparkling diamonds hit him.

Many of these came with such force that they struck the cave wall opposite the cave entrance, and were impaled and anchored there by a larger crystal and several smaller ones.

Sombra, hearing Pinkie's battle cry and the defeated and impaled shadow leader, smiled.

The Shadowleader looked at Sombra's rescue party, then shouted in an angry voice:

"You Dastard!"

Pinkie Pie simply said:

"Why, what did you expect...," she looked towards the cave wall on the right, holding the fired party cannon in her hand, then interrupted her sentence with a raised eyebrow, "Why I said that, and why I looked that way. .., - she looked at her friends, who shrugged, -What did you expect? - she looked towards the twitching shadow leader, -We're going to have an epic battle and all that..., - she waved her hand, -Oh, come on!

Okay, it may have been a sneaky solution, but it was also a sensible and practical one!"

"You bastards...," the shadow leader blurted out, and then his body started to spark, and then in a few seconds he was off, or at least seemed to be.

""Yes, we win!" announced Rainbow Dash, and then a fist bump took place between them, and they set off to rescue Sombra.

Meanwhile, although seemingly switched off, the shadow leader, with overwhelming anger;

"If the knowledge cannot be mine, it should be no one's!" suddenly raised his hand and fired a hook into the crystal, causing a loud crack.

The others, meanwhile, were busy freeing Sombra, which they did, and as Sombra thanked them for their help and was about to get up from the chair, they heard a loud crack, which got the attention of the others before they were startled.

Then they turned their heads towards the crystal, and retracing their steps to the hook that had been buried in it, Sombra, then voicing their surprise, declared:

"What the hell happened?"-while he stood with the others, less than a metre away, in a startled stance.

"If I die, I'm taking you with me!" the shadow leader stated firmly, then abruptly raised his hand, which had turned into a laser cannon, and then directed a small amount of the energy in the crystal into it, then fired a laser beam towards Sombra, in revenge.

Rarity, standing behind her, instinctively created a diamond shield in self-defence, deflecting the beam, which struck the emerald mirror, causing it to explode.

Fortunately no one was injured by the explosion, but it caused 2 events to occur simultaneously.

First, a piece of the crystal mirror hit a modern-style desk in shades of white and black.

This caused a seemingly hidden drawer to fall and slip out, preventing the desk from falling over completely as the drawer mechanism got stuck.

Now the secret drawer of the half-way-fallen desk can be seen into.

If you had peered inside, you would have seen a 15x25 cm standing picture, turned 90 degrees to the left. In this picture, standing upright, you can see a photograph of three beings resembling human beings in a cave, standing in front of a red crystal.

On the left is a woman wearing a brown and white fur coat, brown trousers, black fur shoes and brown fur gloves.

Her posture is upright and her hands, clasped together in front of her groin, show a bracelet with a raven symbol on it.

On his right is a slightly thin man, slightly taller than the others, wearing a brown suit and black tie with a white shirt underneath.

He also wears black trousers and black shoes.

A necklace with a star with 8 branches hangs around his neck.

Behind his back he stands at attention with his hands clasped together.

Between them stands a stockier, slightly smaller man wearing a brown, old-fashioned robe with black buttons and a few pockets. Down and under his ankle-length robe he wears a pair of grey trousers and matching black boots.

On his back he wears a cape in shades of blue and light blue with yellow stars.

There is also a badge resembling a diamond on his right side.

He stands amused while hugging the people standing next to him, which shows that he is wearing black gloves.

As their heads are obscured by a paper placed at an angle, it is not possible to tell who they are.

Because their heads are covered by a piece of paper placed at an angle, it is impossible to tell who they are.

The second event took place after the force of the explosion cracked a crystal, which ran on a wedge from the floor to the ceiling.

In that instant, a crack ran through it and loosened a red crystal hanging from the ceiling, which broke off and fell onto the robot head of the shadow leader, who was about to fire another blast.

The crystal was pierced, and then began to glow red from the energy running through the head.

And with that, it was destroyed for ever.

After it had burned up, Sunset turned to Sombra and asked what the crystal was.

"It's a thermolite crystal...Energy produces heat and the higher the energy..."

He interrupted his explanation when a loud hissing sound was heard, then turned his head towards the source of the sound coming from the crystal.

When they turned their heads there, a bolt of lightning shot out and slammed into the large monitor, blowing it up.

"What on earth is happening?" asked Applejack in surprise.

"The crystal's going to explode!" said Sombra in a serious voice, "We have to get out of here now!"

"And what about the inventions?" pointed to one of them, "We can't leave those!"

"Sorry, but our lives are more important!" said Sombra with a firm but understanding look.

After a brief hesitation, she agreed with Sombra and they began to make their way out of the cave.

As they ran, Twilight saw a strange object and pocketed it, then continued on her way without hesitation.

After a short run, they used radar to get out of the cave and, after running far enough, the crystal exploded.

The explosion pulverized everything, then collapsed the entire cave as a huge blast wave erupted from the cave entrance.

The entire cave entrance then collapsed completely, finally sealed by a huge boulder.

The group then looked at the cave entrance after it had completely collapsed.

"Is everyone okay?" asked Sombra of the others.

Panting, Sunset nodded, "Who was that guy? And how did he know you? Because it looked to me like he knew you! ...And how did you know we were going to walk to the place where our crystal prison was created?"

"He was the shadow leader..." said Sombra tersely.

"Shadowleader...?" asked everyone in a surprised tone, "But we heard from Twilight that you killed him!" said Applejack, puzzled.

"Somehow, his body ended up in this world through a mirror, and it controlled that... what was it called again? Oh, right, robot body."

"You mean through that emerald green mirror?" Twilight asked.

Sombra nodded.

"He thinks that the immense amount of energy used to kill him caused a space-time rift between the two worlds, and this rift connected to the mirror.

The direction of the crystal's spread was probably controlled remotely somehow."

"Does that gate also lead to Equestria?" Sunset asked.

"Most likely!" Twilight replied, "But I'm more surprised by those devices...

They seem much more advanced than anything I've ever seen, plus there's something else," - she took an object with a symbol on it out of her coat pocket, - "Have you ever seen a symbol like this?" - she showed it to Sombra.

"Hmm, it looks exactly like the symbol on the robot body! Where did you find it?

"When I rushed out, I quickly picked it up..." Twilight explained, "It most likely came from the emerald green mirror!"

"I wonder what these smaller symbols represent?" Sunset asked, pointing at one of the smaller symbols.

"I don't know..." Rarity shivered from the cold, "But I think we could look at this in a less cold place!"

They agreed, and since they had already missed the 19 bus, they called Bob, who gladly came to pick them up.

Half an hour later, he arrived, and after they got in, they headed towards Canterlot High School.

As they drive to school, Twilight checks the time on her phone, which reads quarter to one:

"Wow, is that the time already?! We were swooned for a long time!" she sighed, turning her head, "too bad I missed the event I wanted to see!"

"And we missed the last Halloween party we had together!" The girls sighed.

Sombra felt sorry for them, so he asked;

"Hey, want to come to the upcoming festival?"

At this, the girls' eyes lit up.

"Are you serious, Mr. Sombra?" asked Pinkie with a delighted smile.

"Sure...," said Sombra with a kind smile, "You deserve to have a well worthwhile time and I was about to say, just call me Sombra!"

"Thank you, Sombra!" they exclaimed, very happy.

Bob first rejoiced at the girls' happiness, then sighed in unison, then said; "Too bad I can't go!"

"Who says I didn't...," said Sombra with a smile, "You came to pick us up so late, and you deserve to have a fun time!"

"Thank you very much!" said Bob with a big smile as he watched the road, „Will it be in that other world?"

Sombra nodded.

"And nowhere else but in the Crystal Empire!"

"After all these years it will be nice to return to Equestria!" -Bob said happily.

"Well...," they dropped their pennies, "What?" they said at the same time, "Have you been to the other world?"

"I've not only been there, I'm from there!" replied Bob, with total calm.

"Are you from there? ... they all exclaimed, -Why didn't you tell me that information?"

"Well," he shrugged, "you never asked!"

"It's not customary not to give out such information!" said Sunset, puzzled.

"All I can tell you is that it was Princess Celestia's order not to tell you!

I can only reveal so much to you!"

The others exchanged a puzzled look, and Pinkie spat it out;

"Okay, we don't want to get involved!

And since you've helped us so much, we'll respect that you won't tell us anything else."

"Thank you!" said Bob, relieved, " Is the invitation still open, Mr. Sombra?"

"Sure, I guess," he said, confused, "but Celestia won't mind you leaving this world, will she?"

"She told me I could cross over at any time.

Obviously only if the gate is open... I suppose it's open again."

"Well, technically, no..."

"Then how did you get through?"

Soon after, having been told how, they reached the school at about 1pm.

After Bob parks, they head to the statue that serves as a gateway, and once there, they contact Twilight using Sunset's log.

Twilight writes back a few minutes later, saying that the gate is open.

Then those who had never been to the other world were prepared to step through, and together they stepped through the gate.

Meanwhile, Twilight is in the room where the mirror is located, waiting for Sombra.

Suddenly there is a brilliant light, and Sombra, in his transformed form, steps through it.

As she starts to walk over to talk to him, to her surprise, 8 other ponies fall out of the mirror.

She recognized seven of the mares, because one was Sunset, and one of the other six was her, only without wings, and a replica of her friends.

The eighth pony, a stallion with white coat and a black mane with a baseball cap on, well, he didn't recognise.

"Uhm, I'm sorry to ask, but what are you doing here, and most importantly... who is he?" he pointed his hoof at the strange stallion, aka Bob, who was still unconscious.

"Well," Sombra began his explanation, "I invited them to the upcoming festival because they missed a party...," he pointed to the girls, some of whom were either waving to Twilight, trying to get used to their bodies, or still slightly unconscious, "and he is Bob, the girls' friend, and according to him, he is from this world," Bob pointed, who had just woken up.

When Bob shook his head to clear it, he noticed a tall pony he identified as Sombra.

"Sombra, are you an Alicorn?" asked Bob in surprise, but quickly realised he had asked a stupid question, "So you're probably a member of the royal family!" he bowed to him, then saw Twilight, and as she was an Alicorn, he bowed to her too.

Sombra's response was a nod and a bow.

"Well, all right...," Twilight said with a surprised tone and expression, then greeted Bob with a smile and a nod, then remembered something, -What did you find out?"

Then they were told everything that had happened to them.

She shivered at the return of the shadow leader, but was delighted to learn that they had killed him again.

But the most surprising thing for them, was the cave they found, and the tools they found there surprised them, as Sci-Twi said that in their world, such advanced technology did not exist.

Meg, they even showed her the strange symbol, which now clearly shows a molten, metal-like substance molten and still solidified at the point where the text between the 8-branched star and the raven symbol is located, completely hidden from view.

While they are talking about this, Sombra notices that the girls, plus Bob, are very tired, so he offers them a spell to help them rest.

They agreed and he performed the spell, during which their bodies glowed purple.

After half a minute he finished, and the girls, plus Bob, felt as if all their fatigue was gone.

They thanked Sombra, who looked a little tired from the spell.

They were a little worried about this, but Sombra assured them that since he was an Alicorn, he would be fine in no time, but they shouldn't get used to it, as it was a very difficult spell.

Even before they left, Sombra disguised Sunset's friends, except for Sunset and Bob, with a spell to keep them inconspicuous.

They are disguised by a crystal necklace around their necks.

Soon afterwards, they packed up and headed to the train station, where they met their Twilight Sparkle friends from this world, who they tell everything, including who they are, as they head to the Crystal Empire.

A few hours later we find ourselves in the Crystal Empire, in the afternoon.

From above, you can see that there are many ponies, many of them crystal ponies, but many more of different kinds of ponies waiting for a festival to begin.

This festival is a celebration of a brand new and special holiday, as the War of the Sky Tears ended exactly one year to the day.

These many ponies stand in a semi-circle in front of a temporary podium in the town square, listening with delighted smiles to a special pony's speech.

He is, of course, Sombra.

Cadance and Shining Armour insisted that he be the one to open the new celebration, as he is the war hero.

Although Sombra didn't think so, he agreed.

During his speech, he was asked where he was yesterday, but he said it was top secret.

He didn't like lying to citizens, but telling them information would create unnecessary panic and, to be fully understood, they would have to tell information that would not be good if it got into the wrong hooves, claws, and so on.

"...And with that, I would like to open the Crystal Empire's newest celebration to remind the Future Generation that together we are always stronger; The Day of Victory!"

This was greeted with cheers and applause.

After the crowd cheered Sombra's speech, they set off to enjoy the Crystal Empire's latest celebration.

In the following scenes, we can see that Sombra and her friends and family members are engaged in different activities.

For example, the disguised Applejack and her otherworldly self are trying out a new game, namely Hit the Shadowcreature while you can.

Or Rainbow Dash helps his human counterpart from the human world fly, or the two Fluttershy and Discord operate a pet petting farm.

Although Discord doesn't like to travel to the Crystal Empire, as he can't use his powers here, he does like to help her dearest friend, albeit in his own stupid personal way.

In fact, everyone is having a good time.

As night approaches, Sunset, Celestia, Luna, and Bob walk together from booth to booth, talking about other things.

Ever since Sunset was forgiven by Celestia during the events of the memorial stone incident, they've been wanting to spend a lot of time together.

And Celestia is also very happy to be meeting one of her best secret agents, Bob, again.

While walking, Sunset spots a familiar pony standing outside a jewellery booth.

"Hello, Starlight!" greets Sunset, "May I ask what you're buying?"

"Ah, hello Sunset!" replied Starlight with a smile, "Good to see you again..."

"Seeing you again?!" asked Celestia in surprise as she talked to Luna Bob, "I didn't know you two knew each other!"

"Ah, it's a long story!" said Starlight, "In answer to your question," she looked towards Sunset, "I want to buy this necklace." she pointed to a gold necklace with a green gemstone dangling from it, "But I'm waiting for the seller!"

"Hold on, I'll be right there, I just had to take care of something!" a man's voice called from behind the big booth.

After a few seconds, the door opened, and a unicorn entered the foyer of the booth, using his magic to bring in a box that glowed a brilliant green.

When they saw him in his entirety, they were a little startled.

They were not frightened by his black coat or his blue mane, but by his blue non-reflective eyes.

"Ah, what, what happened?"- the salesman was a little scared by their reaction, but quickly found the answer, "I guess it's my eyes that scared you, isn't it?" the salesman asked with a poker face.

"Excuse me, but we've never seen a pony with eyes like that before!" apologized Celestia, and then the others, "I've only ever seen eyes like that on Changelings in my life!"

"Changelings?!" asked Sunset and Bob, puzzled.

"Long story!" replied Luna.

"If you don't mind me asking, why do you have those eyes?" asked Sunset inquiringly.

"I was born that way. It's caused by a rare birth disease called..."

"Phathium vortus...," Sunburst said as he adjusted his glasses, "It occurs in ponies whose ancestors included a bat pony.

In addition to the eye defect, they also have perfect night vision!"

"That's right!" said the owner, "If they're always scared of my eyes, they should be of some use!" he chuckled.

"What a lot you can learn from a simple purchase!" said Starlight with a smile, to which everyone started giggling.

"'Miss, what would you like to buy?" the salesperson finally asked after his giggle.

"I'd like this!" pointed to the necklace Starlight.

"Ah, that's an excellent choice!" said the salesman with a smile, then put it in a bag, "It costs 25 bits."

"Wait…-Starlight reached into her saddlebag, then sadly said, -Sorry, but I only have 20 bits."

"Ah, you know what, you can have it for 10 bits!" said the salesman with a kind smile.

"Thank you very much!" thanked Starlight, and then she paid for the necklace, and they joined the others as they continued on their way, laughing.

A few hours later, to close the celebration, fireworks at midnight marked this momentous day, which led to the end of a war!

One month ago, we find ourselves in a cave in an unknown place.

The dark cave is consisting of grey rocks, with different coloured crystals covering the walls and ceiling, and in the centre of the cave there is a table with a tablecloth on which strange symbols are sewn.

Suddenly someone walks into the cave and heads straight for the table.

He wears a strange cloak embellished with various small crystals, and his head is covered by a mask, revealing only his blue, non-reflective eyes.

One part of the mask completely hides his horns, while the cloak and the great darkness prevent him from showing his legs and his entire body.

When he got to the table, he took a few pieces of minerals from his bag and placed them on the tablecloth on the table so that they would be placed exactly on the symbols.

He then took a spell book from his bag and placed it on the stand next to the table, opening it to a certain side.

After reading through the spell, he began to talk to himself.

"I hope the crystals will give me enough power to perform this spell!" he said in a distorted voice because of the mask, and then he started casting.

The object that completely hid his horns began to glow a brilliant green, then the crystals on his clothes, and finally the crystals on the cave walls and ceiling began to glow.

After a few seconds, several smaller beams of energy began to shoot out from the cave crystals towards the crystals on his clothes and when he hit them, his cloak began to glow as he felt stronger.

As tempting as this power was, he would have to use it all to complete the spell.

Finally, a beam shot out from his horn towards the mineral treasures on the table, transforming into a magic orb, in which the mineral treasures transformed into an object.

It resembles a gold necklace with a green gemstone dangling from it.

He puts it in his bag and then declares;

"The first phase of my plan is underway!

The next phase, using this object to stage a coup!
