After Twilight Sparkle saves the day from her friend's scrambled cutie marks and even fixes Star Swirl's unfinished spell, Princess Celestia is impressed enough with her pupil to grant her alicornhood. The moment she chooses is meant to be a touching retelling of all the experiences that made Twilight the successful and qualified mare she is today. Unfortunately the princess wasn't counting on also conjuring up a host of less than wholesome memories that her prized student was never intending to share with anyone which also make her alicorn prospects a little less of a slam dunk.
