An unexpected visit ( inspired by the Stories of Sodor episode : Preservation )
It's always nice to meet up with some old friends from time to time, especially if it's been either months or years since you've seen them. The moment where you meet up with the individual that you haven't seen in a while can be quite a heartwarming sight, especially when ya manage to get a chance to catch up to see how that person in doing, and what they've been up too since you've last seen them. Whether it'd be a childhood friend, or a lover who's been away on either business or serving their country, it's always nice to reunite with an old acquaintance. However, there are times where a reunion with someone you haven't seen for a long time can take a dark turn that you wouldn't least expect it. And one teenager is about to see this for herself when an old friend pops up out of nowhere...............................................
The sound of the school bell echoes through the streets , as hundreds of students began to make their way out of the large building. With the Friday afternoon commencing, the students and staff of Canterlot High rejoiced as it officially marked the start of the weekend. After a long week , many of the various individuals were happy to know that they had two days to kick back, relax, and sleep in after working hard all week.
One student in particular was just as excited to start the weekend, having made a promise to her younger sibling to meet up with her at the local outdoor mall downtown for their after school window shopping session. The young fashionista was ready to start out her weekend with a bang, as she patiently waited for her younger sibling to exit the school as well. The purple haired teen took a second to take in the fresh air.
With winter just around the corner,the teen was happy, as soon she wouldn't have to worry about the summer heat any longer. And also to be able to wear and show off her new winter coat that she's been working on for months inside her makeshift boutique. As the teen continued to collect her thoughts, she felt a slight jolt as someone bumped into her from behind.
"Ow!!!!!!" She cried out. " I say, why don't you watch where your going ?!"
" I'm sorry miss" The person replied. " I didn't see you ....................wait, Rarity?!" The young fashionista instantly turned around after hearing the mysterious person call her by her name . And she was instantly surprised to find a handsome looking young man whom was all to familiar to her.
"Eduardo?!" Rarity said, there was a short silent for a moment , until big smiles formed on their faces before they collected each other into a friendly embrace.
" Oh my god darling!" Rarity said happily. " I can't believe it's really you!"
"Kudos darling" Eduardo replied as the hug soon ended. " It's been so long since we've last seen each other in person"
"It sure has Eduardo" Rarity said. " Hows college and your internship going darling? More importantly , what brings you back in town?"
"CSU's going great darling" Eduardo answered. " I've actually started to receive quite a lot of clients lately during my internship, and I've recently been working alongside a few of the well known fashion designers in the city. And to answer your followup question Rarity, I'm currently working with my latest client here in town and thought it'd be fun to visit CHS for old times sake"
"That's great Eduardo" Rarity said. " I'm happy things are going great for you, and that your back in town " The fashionista then took a short glimpse at her old friends pectoral area. " Hehe, I see you've been outgrowing your chest hair darling"
"hehe yeah I did" He replied with a blush. " My mom has been bugging me to shave it already, but after my boyfriend pointed out that it made me look very manly, I decided to keep it as is. Even though it tends to get a bit itchy from time to time"
"LOL , well Jimmy did always say that he loved guys with bodyhair" Rarity said. " And your pretty much his type of man darling"
"Your telling me" Eduardo replied with a chuckle. " Ever since the chest hair came in, the kinky little cuties been using my pecs as pillows"
"Well can you really blame him?" Rarity said earning another chuckle from her friend.
"Your telling me darling " Eduardo replied, and went a step forward by doing a little pec flex. " You know, I was actually planning on visiting Sugarcube Cafe. Would you maybe like to tag along? Plus it'll be a great opportunity for us to catch up with each other"
" Oh that would be wonderful darling" Rarity said as she accepted her friends offer. " And it's also the perfect timing as well, Mr and Mrs Cake just brought back your favorite seasonal items"
"You mean?.....................
"Oh yeah darling" Rarity said slyly . " Pumpkin spice cinnamon Frappucino, and Jack-O-lantern shaped sugar cookies"
"Hell yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Eduardo said excitedly. " Best time for me to be in town for the week"
"Amen darling" Rarity replied. " Lets not waste anytime shall we? As my friend Pinkie would say, Onward to coffee and goodies!!!" Eduardo nodded, and soon the two friends began their trek towards the towns best hangout spot. " BTW hows Chloe doing?" Hearing this caused the man to groan slightly.
"Ugh! Don't even mention that little demon" He replied annoyed. " Sometimes I wish I was an only child"
"Hehe younger siblings do have the tendency to tease darling" Rarity reassured. " But deep down, I'm sure Chloe loves you"
"If your little sister wrote "My brother is gay LITERALLY" on your backpack in permanent marker" He said. " You'd think differently darling" Rarity couldn't help but chuckle slightly at the mans response as they continued down the road towards Sugarcube corner, but what they didn't know, is that a few students who were exiting the building happened to catch a glimpse of the conversation between the element of generosity and her old friend. But for some odd reason, a few of them had looks of both confusion and concern written on em.
Meanwhile
We find the 6 members of this worlds elements of harmony , minus Rarity, walking down the street together, consisting of Pinkie pie, Rainbow dash, Twilight sparkle also known as Sci twi by non other than Pinkie, reformed villain Sunset Shimmer, Applejack, and Fluttershy. Like the other students, the group was relieved that the school day was over and that they have the whole weekend to relax and hang out with each other.
"Thank goodness for the weekend" Applejack said all relieved.
"You said it AJ" Rainbow dash replied. " Thank god I don't have to worry about pulling an all nighter studying, I really hope I did well on the history test today"
"The star athlete on the show actually caring about a test?" Twilight said with a sly grin. " Who are you and what have you done with Rainbow dash?" This caused the other members of the group to chuckle slightly at the science lovers response.
"Haha very funny Sci twi" Dash said slightly annoyed. " If ya'll must know, my old man made a bet with me and Scoots that, if we did good on our tests for the rest of the year, he'll pay for our tickets for next years superbowl. And me and Scootaloo have been cramming nonstop for those two tickets, it's gonna be the tits!"
"Well considering that ya hired Poindexter aka the smartest kid in school" Fluttershy replied.
"*cough* Second smartest person in school" Twilight jumped in.
" Oh, hehe sorry twilight" Fluttershy giggled. " There's no doubt in my mind you and Scoots will have those two tickets in hand in no time Dashie"
"I sure hope so Shy" Dash replied. " Anyways, moving off topic. We still have some time before we have to go home, what do you guys wanna do?"
"Hmmmmmm, not really sure partner" Applejack replied. " It's a little late to go to sugarcube corner"
"It's never too late for coffee and goodies AJ" Pinkie said in her usual tone.
"Need I remind you that you weren't able to fall asleep for 2 hours the last time you drank coffee in the afternoon Pinks?" Sunset replied.
“Good point” Pinkie said a bit embarrassed as she was reminded of the time that she had a hard time trying to fall asleep after ordering a second Frappuccino that day during one of their hangout sessions. But just as the group was about to continue discussing about what they were gonna spend the next hour doing, Sweetie belle soon walked up to the group with a look of annoyance written all over her face. “Hey guys”
“Howdy there Sweetie belle” Applejack greeted. “ What brings ya’ll here? If your looking for my sister and Scoots, they went home already”
“Actually I came to find you guys” Sweetie belle answered. “Have any of you seen Rarity? We were supposed to meet up at the outdoor mall after school , but she wasn’t waiting near the entrance like we planned”
“Hmmmmmmm” Applejack pondered for a moment, until she remembered something. “ Oh yeah, Rarity texted me not too long ago actually, she said that she bumped into an old friend earlier and they went to go catch up with each other over at Sugarcube Cafe” Hearing this caused the freshman to let out an annoyed groan.
“OMG are you serious?!” She replied. “ Of all the times for her to bump into an old friend, why did it have to be when she promised a sisterly outing after school?!”
“Easy there sugarcube” Applejack said. “ I’m sure she remembers your little hangout session, she just wants to catch up with her old buddy real quick. I guarantee that she’ll be right at that mall waiting for ya the second she and her old friend part ways for the day”
“I sure hope so AJ” Sweetie belle replied, her annoyed expression still visible. “ Did she at least say who she was meeting with? Cause she has a ton of old acquaintance that she hasn’t seen since middle school”
Applejack scratched her chin for a bit as she tried to remember the name of the individual Rarity was meeting with. “ Hmmmmm it’s on the tip of my tongue, I think she texted and said that his name was………….Eduardo or something?” Suddenly , Sweetie belles eyes grew wide in shock. A cold shiver ran down her spine at the name that just came out of the farmgirls mouth, almost as if she was familiar with it . The others noticed the sudden shift in behavior at the freshman, while wondering what was the matter? “ Sweetie belle, are ya’ll ok?”
“No, no, no it can’t be” Sweetie belle said to herself. “ Is it really happening again? no there's no way, the doctor said she was cured, that's impossible, but is it, is it possible, or is it not, or maybe, just maybe………………..”
“Sweetie belle whats wrong?” Fluttershy said trying to calm down the panicking teen. “ You’re acting like you just seen a ghost”
“Yeah what’s going on with you all of a sudden?” Sunset jumped in.
“Where did Rarity say she was going?” Sweetie belle asked frantically.
“Like I said, sugarcube corner” Applejack replied.
“Guys , we need to get over there , right now ” Sweetie belle said.
“Huh?” Dash began. “ But why do we……………………”
“I’ll explain on the way, please just follow me!!!!!!!” Sweetie belle called out, and then ushered the group to follow her. Though feeling slightly confused at the freshman’s sudden change in behavior, they never the less did what she said and followed her to Sugarcube Cafe, all while hoping that nothing bad happened to their fashionista friend or her childhood friend as well.
30 minutes later
Inside Sugarcube cafe, we find the element of generosity alongside her buddy Eduardo sitting comfortably in their booth, which he himself picked out, the two friends could be seen chilling and chatting amongst themselves as they reminisced about their past together. But what they didn't know is that Sweetie belle and the others could be seen surveying the two of em. Each of them had looks of concern written on their faces, the same one Sweetie belle had earlier. After a minute, the fashionista looked back to find her friends and younger sister a few meters away from their respected booth.
"Darlings what a surprise, I wasn't expecting you guys to drop by" She said. " And it's a good timing too, guys, allow me to introduce you all to my old friend, Eduardo"
"It's a pleasure to meet you Rainbooms" Eduardo greeted. " Or should I say, the superheroes of Canterot High?"
"Hehe, I wouldn't call ourselves superheroes darling" Rarity replied. " Oh you remember my little sister do ya?"
"How can I forget?" He said. " How are you Sweetie belle? Man your growing into a lovely young lady, your gonna be as beautiful as your sister here"
"Oh stop" Rarity said with a blush. " She might be as beautiful as yours truly, but her cooking skills could use some work though, especially after the infamous pancake incident" The duo shared a good laugh at the fashionista's response, Sweetie belle however, didn't reply back at Rarity's or Eduardo's responses and just looked more and more concerned.
"Jesus, you weren't kidding Sweets" Rainbow dash whispered.
"Ditto" Pinkie replied. "So....................who's gonna be the one to tell her?"
"Tell me what?" Rarity asked.
"I'll do it" Applejack whispered. " Me and Rarity go way back as well, so it's only fair that I do it ya'll" The others including Sweetie belle nodded in approval as the element of honesty stepped forward. She took a deep breath before finally speaking up. " Rarity........................how long have ya'll known Eduardo?"
"Why since 7th grade of course AJ" Rarity responded. " We've been pen pals with each other ever since he went off to college, I would have introduced you guys to him sooner. But he's been extremely busy with his studies and internship, but you six are in luck today as he's in town for the week to assist his latest client"
"I see, I see" Applejack said. " ...............Rarity, if ya'll don't mind me asking, are you feeling alright sugarcube?"
"What?" Rarity replied. " Of course I'm feeling alright. If I wasn't feeling alright, then I wouldn't be sitting here having a conversation with you guys and Eduardo here"
"That's just it sugarcube" Applejack said, there was a short silence before the farmgirl continued. " Rarity, there's no easy way to say this but............................................there's no one there" The room was silent for what felt like an eternity after AJ spilled the truth towards her friend, Rarity was at a loss for words at what one of her closest friends just said to her. The fashionista had no idea why AJ would assume that Eduardo wasn't there when he's literally sitting right in front of her. After a while, she finally responded at her friends claim.
"Pardon my french darling.......................but what the hell are you talking about?!" She replied. " Honestly AJ, I did not expect you to be so rude today, I introduce you to my friend here, and your only response toward him is that he's not here? What's gotten into you?"
"There's nothing wrong with me Rarity" AJ defended. " I know this hard to believe, but I'm telling the truth, and you know the Apple family oath " Never tell a lie" . There's nobody sitting right in front of you sugarcube, your the only one sitting in this booth"
"What are you talking about?!" Eduardo shouted. " I'm standing right in front of you kid!!! Do you need glasses or something? Why would you act like I'm not standing right in front of you?!"
"Exactly!!!" Rarity replied.
"Rarity, who are you talking too?" Fluttershy asked.
"I'm talking to Eduardo" Rarity answered. " Didn't you guys hear him?!"
"No we didn't" Sunset said. " Because there's nobody there Rares"
"Shut up Sunset!!!!" Rarity shouted. " I know you weren't the nicest person in the past, but I would never expect this kind of behavior from you, your supposed to be representing the true meaning of friendship in our world, but your seriously going against it right now by insulting my friend!"
"You tell her Rarity" Eduardo cheered.
"Rarity we're not lying" Twilight jumped in. " Sweetie belle told us everything, we know Eduardo's dead, and you found out about it a couple years ago, and the news of his perishing messed with your mental health"
"I'm not dead!!!!!!!" Eduardo replied.
"I know you aren't darling" Rarity defended. "And theres' nothing wrong with my mental health either!!! How can you guys be so selfish? How dare you act like my friend isn't sitting right in front of me, and to even go as far as to say he's dead! If he's "dead" then explain the bite mark taken out of his Jack-O-lantern cookie?"
The others remained silent at the fashionista's claims, until Pinkie broke the ice in a nervous tune. " Rarity.....................you might wanna take a closer look at that cookie if I were you"
"Why? Honestly Pinkie I don't know what's gotten into..............." But as Rarity took a closer look at the sugar cookie that stood in front of Eduardo, a surprised look formed on the fashionista's face as there in front of her was indeed a Jack-O-lantern shaped cookie, but that it was still in tact. No bite taken out of it, there wasn't even a sigh that it's been touched during she and Eduardo's chanting earlier. The teen was in utter confusion, surely she remembers seeing her friend take a bit of one of his favorite seasonal menu items. But the cookie that was in front of her looked to be untouched. "Eduardo...................didn't you take a bite of your cookie earlier darling?"
"What? Of course I did Rarity" Eduardo replied. " You saw me take a bite during our conversation, you witnessed it before your very..................." But before the young man could continue. He looked down at his untouched pastry as a look of pure shock formed as a cold sweat ran down his face . " Wait what? But...........I took a bite out of it, I remember.................wait, no this isn't right, I shouldn't be here, this is a mistake, I remember it, I remember it, I remember.......................................
"The accident"
Suddenly, the young man vanished into thin air right in front of the fashionista's eyes as she watched on with a shocking expression at the sight of her childhood friend mysteriously vanishing right in front of her. The teen started to hyperventilate as her friend was no longer at the spot which he originally sat at. With his uneaten cookie and Frappuccino standing idly at the table, Rarity was at a loss for words as she struggled to process as to what just happened. " Wha, Wha...............What? Eduardo, Eduardo, Eduardo?! Where'd you go, Eduardo!!!!" Rarity suddenly got up and started to feel around the section of the booth where her friend once stood, desperately trying to find a trace of the man. " Eduardo come back, I'm sorry please come back, not again, not, again, not again.............................
"Rarity!!!!!!" Applejack said as she rushed over, and was quick to wrap her arms around the frantic teen, trying her best to sooth and calm her down. " Shhhhhhhh, Sugarcube , calm down, shhhhhh, it's ok, everything's gonna be ok, we're here"
"I, I , I, I, I don't understand what's going on" Rarity replied as tears started to form. " I don't............................
"I know Rares" Applejack said as she gently rubbed her friends back trying to calm her down as some of the patrons of the cafe surveyed the entire scene. " Everything's gonna be ok, we're here for you"
later that day
Inside one of the patient rooms in the Canterlot city hospital wing, we find non other than Rarity sitting on her bed, her face full of nothing but confusion and terror after what happened earlier. The teen buried her face in her arms as she held herself, the realization that Eduardo wasn't really there, and that she wasn't having a friendly conversation with him, shocked the girl to the core. She had no idea how to respond to this, and with this not being the first time this has happened, the element of generosity just sat in silence, all while unaware that the group alongside Dr Stable were surveying her from the doors window, all with looks of worry written on their faces.
"It's actually happening again?" The man said. " *Sigh* That poor kid, and at such a young age too"
"Wait, doc, you know what's going on with Rarity?" Sunset asked.
"Well" He began. * Yes and no Sunset, My father was actually the one who diagnosed Rarity with bereavement hallucinations. Before he retired a few years ago and left the hospital to me, Miss Rarity here was one of his last patients, he didn't give me the full details. All he told me was that the girl started seeing and talking to hallucinations of her deceased friend, actually ........I think this is something that's best explained by someone who witness it first hand. Why don't you go ahead and tell them Sweetie belle?"
After hearing this, Sweetie belle was hesitant at first to answer, with the fear of reliving the past trauma her sister went through a few years ago. But given that the Rainbooms were practically family, and that they were just as worried towards the element of generosity, it was only fair they knew the truth behind their friends sudden behavior. The younger teen took a deep breath before turning her attention towards the Rainbooms, whom were desperate for an answer. " Ok.............It's like this"
And this is the story Sweetie belle told
Eduardo and Rarity were childhood friends, the pair actually met each other when Rarity was in the 7th grade, and Eduardo was a senior at the time. You see, my sisters class was taking a trip to Canterlot high to welcome the future freshman to the CHS family. Once they arrived, the class was given a tour of the campus, and shown the many afterschool clubs, sports teams, and various other extracurricular activities they had to offer.
During lunch break, my sister just so happened to have taken a seat next to non other than Eduardo and his boyfriend Jimmy. They chatted for a bit and found that they had quite a lot in common with one another, and the pair soon became fast friends. since that day, Rarity and Eduardo started to hang out with each other whenever they can. On occasion's, he along with Jimmy were invited to family dinners and events. Our parents liked having him around too, he was like another member of the family. He also used to babysit me from time to time, hehe even though he was gay, I couldn't help having the biggest crush on him.
Eventually Rarity started the 8th grade while Eduardo graduated and was currently on his first year of Canterlot State University, despite the distance. The two of them still kept their friendship strong, and even became penpals with one another, and Eduardo even promised to come visit whenever he had time off of school. But alas , that would never come I'm afraid after the.............incident. One day during Eduardo's internship, he was tasked with designing new uniforms for the canterlot city construction company. But the day he was assigned this task was a terrible time to be outside as it was practically stormy and windy outside, but Eduardo didn't let a little rain stop him from pursuing his future fashion career.
While he was inside the company building presenting his uniform design to the boss, one of the machines that handled the large wrecking ball began to shake violently due to the extreme wind, and the chain that held the wrecking ball was old and rusty and was barely hanging on, and the high winds weren't helping it either. Eventually the old chain finally gave way as the Wrecking ball flew into the air towards the direction of the building to which Eduardo stood, and by the time he realized something was coming, it was already too late...................................
Paramedics soon arrived at the scene, but there was little that they could do. I'll spare you the gory details, but when they took a good look at the crushed remains of Eduardo and the companys boss, they were barely even recognizable after the impact. Jimmy was devastated as he heard the news of his longtime boyfriends death, but no one took it harder that my sister. Rarity was devastated at her friends death, she wouldn't come out of her room or eat for days. And each day she prayed to god that it was all a bad dream and that Eduardo was safe and sound. She even checked her phone 24/7 to see if he'll text her , but nothing came. Something else however, started to come to her.
Rarity started to see hallucinations of Eduardo alive and well whenever she was at home or at school, and to make matters worse, she even started having conversations with it as if he's talking to her. And whenever we told her that there was no one there, she would blow up at us for assuming that her friend wasn't there. Eventually we took her to the doctor where Doctor Stables father diagnosed her of having bereavement hallucinations, it took a while , but eventually Rarity was cured of her ailment, with the hallucinations of Eduardo vanishing completely. And whenever she did see Eduardo's face, she was to repeat a mantra the doctor instructed her to say.
After that, we thought that rarity has finally returned to normal, but it seems today proved us wrong, oh so very wrong.
As Sweetie belle finished her story, the entire group was speechless, they had no idea their friend went through much trauma 5 years ago, and that her childhood friend died in a tragic accident. But what made the matter a lot more disturbing is the fact that she started seeing hallucinations of him, as if he was standing right in front of her, alive and well.
"Jesus" Rainbow dash said in utter shock.
"That's the saddest story I ever heard!" Pinkie balled as she blew her nose into a handkerchief that she took out of her pocket.
"Poor Rarity" Fluttershy said trying her hardest to hold back her tears. " I had no idea she was going through so much Sweetie belle"
"Me neither" Sunset replied. " But wait, if the hallucinations started back during 8th grade. Why are they happening again all of a sudden? I thought they would have stopped by now"
"Ailments like this aren't cured as easily Sunset" Doctor stable said. " Even if the patient says that they're feeling better, that doesn't mean that they're 100%. Even if it's been years, that doesn't stop the hallucinations from popping up from time to time. The best the patient can do is repeat the mantra assigned to them and hopefully the hallucinations begin to pop up less and less over time"
"I see" sunset said, and then turned towards the window surveying her friend sitting sadly on the hospital bed. " Is there anything we can at least do for her doc?"
"I'm afraid at this point, it's up to her Sunset" Doctor stable replied. " All we can do is pray for the kid, and hopefully she'll come to turns and accept that Eduardo is gone one of these days"
As the group continued to chat outside, Rarity can be seen continuing to come into turns as to what just transpired an hour go involving the hallucination of her dead friend . And the realization that this wasn't the first time she's encountered the spirit of her dead friend shook the teen to the core, while she missed Eduardo dearly, it was difficult at first for her to accept his death , wishing that he was still here with her. As he was mainly her inspiration to becoming a fashion designer herself. But she knew that she'll have to accept the fact that he was gone, but this was easier said than done , but hopefully one of these days, Rarity will come to turns, like Doctor Stable stated, we can only pray. suddenly Eduardo's silhouette could be seen from the other side of the room. The teen however wasn't fazed or scared, and smiled at the hallucination before repeating the mantra that she was assigned five years ago.
"Goodbye Eduardo, I'll see you tomorrow"
And with that, the silhouette of Eduardo's spirit waved goodbye at the teen as it vanished. And hopefully, this would be the last time.

Reunions can be good sometimes, but ya never know how it will go down when ya meet the person you haven't seen in a long time. It can go bad , or it can go great.

We've all experience heartbreak once in our lives, while most individuals believe the one person whom they've dated for a while seemed like the one they want to spend the rest of their lives with. There are some who feel that it just wouldn't work out the way they've imagined it too. Most feel that it's best to call it off if either of them don't have much in common, while some call it off whenever they feel threatened or abused by their respected partners, and there are some who decide to give it another chance and to see where it goes from there. However, there are those out there who don't take breakups well, to the point where they go as far as to either stalk or constantly beg their former lovers to take them back, and this kind of behavior can take a pretty dark tole on the individual in question.
On this quiet evening in the city of Canterlot, we find a cozy looking house sitting atop of a lush green hill as the view of the setting sun lightly illuminated the area making it look more breathtaking alongside the various flowers scattered across the small field outside of the house. Speaking of the house, we find a loving couple sitting comfortably inside their humble abode as the stallion could be seen massaging his wife's pregnant belly. The stallions excitement at the fact that he'll be a father soon could not be contained, and the mare felt the same way as well, happy that they'll finally start a family after 2 years of marriage. But what the couple doesn't know is that their evening was about to take a dark turn for the worse.
As there quietly peeping in on the couple from behind one of the bushes outside, we find a stallion in his early 20's growling at the sight of the couple that stood before him. The mare in question was whom he had his eye on the most, as it turns out, the pregnant mare whom sat inside the house was his ex girlfriend after 5 years. The two of em met during their sophomore year of Highschool, and after some friendly conversations between the pair, they eventually became a couple. While it seemed like a pretty normal relationship at first, I'm sorry to say that this happiness didn't last long. Once they entered their junior year of college, the mare became fearful towards her boyfriend, noticing sudden changes in his personality.
After some encouragement from her friends, she called it off with him. And as you can guess, the stallion did not take it well. Since the breakup , the stallion became desperate and would constantly beg and pester his ex to take him back promising to do better, but each time, the mare refused to take him back. This went on until their senior year, and even though she found someone new, her present husband. That didn't stop her ex from begging the mare to take him back, this resulted in a few fights between the two stallions, with the last one resulting in the latters expulsion and a restraining order after he treatened to stab him to death so that his ex will take him back.
After that, the mare hasn't seen him since, despite a few sighting and love letters sent by him here and there. But what she doesn't know is that her ex has been secretly surveying the couple from their graduation, the proposal, the wedding, and even their honeymoon, not letting a piece of legal paper stop him from his pursuit to reclaim his girl. His face was full of burning rage as he stared on at the couple sitting comfortably inside their home wishing he was in that stallions place instead.
"You fucking traitor" He said under his breath. " How could you replace me like that?! Sure I wasn't the best boyfriend, but you could have given me a chance to change myself for you. But no, you chose the most cliche course of action and replace me with some gigachad looking dude. I swear you chicks are all the same, ya replace your ex with someone who's better looking and more muscular than them, and the fact that he's a royal guard too only proves my point, I betcha he takes steroids. There's no way someone can get that big so easily"
"It's not fair, that should be our house, that should be me sitting next to you, that should be my wedding ring on my hoof, and that should be my baby inside your stomach, not his!!!" Suddenly , the front door of the house swung open , interrupting the stallions small rant as he ducked behind the bush to avoid being spotted by his ex and her royal guard husband.
"Honey I'm so sorry for working the night shift again" The stallion said. " With most of the night guards still recovering from the Changeling attack, Celestia's had to resort to having most of the day guards for the night shift to cover for em until their back on their knee's "
"It's fine Chris" She replied as she straightened up his uniform a bit. " I know how important the night shift is, ya gotta make sure that no other threat tries to sneak into Canterlot. Besides it's still good money" She then rubbed her stomach slightly. " And It'll definitely help us big time, especially with this soon to be little miracle"
"I'll say " Chris replied, and then took it upon himself to kneel down and gently kiss her wives pregnant stomach which housed their soon to be son or daughter. " Daddy will see you soon little one" He then stood back up and planted a passionate kiss towards his wife as the peeping stallion watched on while gritting his teeth in a jealous rage. " And I'll see you soon, don't worry about leaving me dinner, go ahead and relax, I'll grab something on my way to my post. I'll see you tomorrow Samantha"
"See you tomorrow big guy, and be careful" Samantha said as she watched her hubby walk off to work, unknown to her however, her ex watched the whole scene play out as he watched her head back inside the house, his look of jealousy still written all over his face.
"Late shift my ass" He replied. " I betcha he's secretly banging one of the female troopers or even one of the princesses, but your too distracted by his chiseled features to even notice" The retinas in his eyes began to shift slightly from his normal dark brown color to a menacing red hue as he took a long glance towards the house. " You will be mine again Sam, whether you like it or not, I am not gonna be rejected for the 100th time. Your gonna get back together with me whether you like it or not"
"Get ready baby"
"Here I come"
A few minutes later
Inside the house, we find Samantha humming a little tune as she pours herself a glass of light wine, not knowing that her night was about to take a dark turn. Just as she was about to take a sip of her beverage, she took a second to look down at her soon to be kid, lightly rubbing her stomach " Looks like it's just you and me again sweetheart, but don't worry, daddy won't be on the late shift for long. Hmmmmmmm, It's still pretty early, and I don't feel like sitting around the house for the rest of the evening. Maybe I'll meet up with the girls at the cafe..............
Suddenly the mare was interrupted as she heard a small thud from behind her, she was quick to turn around to see if someone was there, but found no one in sight.
"Chris?" She called out. " Is that you?" But there was no reply, the mare couldn't help but feel a bit uneasy at the thought of someone other than her husband inside her house. But she was soon quick to brush it off, thinking that it was only her imagination. " Huh? It was probably just the wind, what am I worried about anyways? With that new lock Chris installed, there's no way anyone can break in, right sweet pea?" She then turned back towards her kitchens island and took another sip of her wine. Not knowing a pair of reddish eyes were surveying the mare through the corner of the kitchen.
"Ya know babe, they say it's not healthy to drink while pregnant"
The mare was quick to spit out her drink in a terrified manner as she heard the voice from behind her, cold shivers ran down her spine as she was quick to recognize whom the voice belonged to. Samantha slowly turned around still terrified, and to her horror, there stood non other than her ex boyfriend with a look of pure malice written all over his face as a big grin also formed at the sight of his pregnant ex. The mare was speechless for a moment at the sight of her ex, all while wondering how he managed to sneak into her house, having changed the locks to prevent any intruder from getting in whenever Chris was out on duty. "Ttttttttttttravis?"
"That's right luv" Travis replied, and then took a step forward causing Samantha to back away slightly. " You look breathtaking tonight babe, It's been quite a while since I've come up so close to you"
But the mare on the other hand wasn't the least bit flattered at her exes flirting " Travis............you know your not supposed to be within 100 feet of me and Chris. How the hell did you even get inside ? Chris Changed the lock's" A small chuckle could be heard coming from the stallion as a response to the scared mares question.
"Do you honestly think a piece of paper is gonna stop me from taking you back?" He asked. " Plus, it'll take a lot more than a fancy lock set up by that gigachad babe"
"Don't call em babe" Samantha replied. " And don't insult my husband please"
"That chump isn't your husband Sam" Travis said. " I know you too well , I know that you wouldn't fall for someone who looks like he's hopped up on steroids and probably cheats on ya with the female troopers. Your just using him to make me jealous......aren't ya baby? I can see it in your eye's, you pretend to deny it, but I know deep down in your heart that ya miss what we had, and wished that I was by your side instead of Mr Machoman who'd rather bounce his pecs in the mirror instead of giving you the love and attention that I do"
"Travis.......stop it" Samantha shot back. "I am not using Chris, and he is not like that. He is a kind and generous man unlike you, and we're about to start a family, and I do not want you ruining it for us with your constant stalking, this has been going on for three years and it stops now "
"Stops, stops?" Travis interjected. " You honestly think I'll stop Sam? No, your the only mare for this stallion. Sure I did hook up with other mares, I even tried experimenting with a stallion at a night club. But no other pony can ever replace you. You my everything Sam, we belong together and I know you feel the same way. You don't need that schmuck, I'm the stallion of your dreams and you know it, I can bring you so much happiness, and our kid would look so much better than that jackass" Travis then began to move forward slightly with a crazed look in his eyes which made Sam both uncomfortable and terrified. "Don't deny it Sam, you know you still love me, Celestia want's us to be together it's written in the stars. I need you, and you need me"
"Travis please, this has gone off.................
"YOU NEED ME!!!!!!" Travis shouted and then gripped onto her left hoof much to her shock and horror, nearly crushing it.
"Travis let go your hurting me!!!!" She screamed.
"STOP REJECTING ME!!!!!!!" Travis roared and gripped onto her arm harder and harder. " What do you want from me woman?! Do you have any idea how much of a mess I was after you dumped me? I couldn't eat, I couldn't sleep, I couldn't focus on my studies, all I could think about was you Sam!!! I gave you everything and you had the nerve to replace me with him of all ponies, what do you want from me HUH?! I lost weight, I started going to church, I been taking anger management classes, I even quit drinking, but is that still not enough for you to take me back?! Your mine Sam, no one else's, you belong with me, and only me, I am your true love, I'm your true husband, I'm the one who's allowed to start a family with you, I'm the one who....................
"LET GO OF ME!!!!!!!!!!!! " Samantha shouted and then proceeded to smash his face with her wine glass, causing him to lose his grip on her as broken glass and small traces of blood scattered onto the kitchen floor, Sam breathed heavily as tears started to form as she gripped her sore arm as Travis gripped onto his bleeding forehead. " This is why I broke up with you in the first place, you always had these outburst out of nowhere and it frightened me every single time you got like this!!!" She then presented her arm towards him which already had red marks and small traces of blood on it. "And this is a perfect example!...............But I did care about you Travis, and I admit , I do kind of miss the times we spent together. But that's all in the past now, maybe there's a chance things could have been different between us three years ago, but it's too late and you have to respect that. I've moved on, I've found someone who loves me, and you have to accept that. I'm telling you this for the last time you psycho, we're done, and were never getting back together! Now get the hell out of my house or I'll have the cops or even the guard here in seconds!!!!!!!"
Heavy breathing exited Samantha's mouth after her rant towards her ex whom stood in place , utterly shocked at the words that came out of his exes mouth. His heart beat could almost be heard as he remained visibly broken at the fact that Sam rejected his pleas to take hum back for what felt like the hundredth time. A blank expression formed on the stallions face as he stood up slowly, which made the mare feel more and more uneasy. "Never? No.....no......no......... You don't get it, do you bitch?" He began to walk forward slowly. " I've given up too much to be rejected by you again Sam, I will not take no for an answer, not now...............
"Travis " Sam said as she started to back away.
"Not ever again" He continued as his retinas turned a demonic looking red color "Your mine Samantha, you don't belong to anyone else but me. Not that gigachad, not any other stallion, only me"
"Please stop this" Sam replied still terrified.
"I need you Samantha" Travis said as he got closer and closer. " And you need me too"
"Get away from me!!!!" Sam shouted as she found herself backed into a corner.
"Your mine, Samantha" Travis stated as a crazed look formed on his face. " Your mine, your mine, your mine....................................YOUR MINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
The crazed stallion then lunged forward as the desperate mare let out a blood curdling scream which echoed throughout the entire house, as the bottle of wine tipped over as the light yellowish liquid poured down the edge of the island as Sam's screams could still be heard.
An hour later
The sun has set, indicating that the day was officially over, with many ponies either turning in for the night, or doing some last minute checks before closing up their respected shops. But alas, there were some who weren't in for a nice day tomorrow as the events of an hour ago would take a turn for certain individuals. Over the hill of the residence of Chris and Samantha, we find a royal guard making his way towards the couples house, after receiving a note to head on over to the address the second his shift ended. While the man would have wanted nothing more but to turn in for the night, the serious tone of the letter made it seem like it was an urgent plea to come over as fast as he could. Soon he reached the front door and began to knock.
"Travis? " He called out " Are you in there? I came as soon as I got your note" He then jiggled the knob a bit to find it unlocked, indicating that he was expected to come inside immediately. He then proceeded to step inside, and surveyed the scene that stood before him. The kitchen table was all lopsided and destroyed indicating that there was a struggle, the bottle of wine that originally sat on top of the kitchen island was now on the floor shattered with it's contents splattered all over the floor, the blood stain from Samantha's counterattack was still on the floor as well, but what caught the stallions attention the most, was his friend who stood cradled next to the shattered remains of the kitchen table, with a suspicious red fluid practically covering his hooves.
After a moment of hesitation, the stallion cautiously moved forward towards the broken man. " Travis?............Listen man.........whatever happened, it's gonna be ok, just relax, no need to move. Just tell me..............what....did.....you............do?" The stallion waited for a response from his friend, and soon got one as Travis pointed towards the corner of the Kitchen, the guard then looked towards the direction of where the stallion was pointing too. And nearly screamed in terror at what he was witnessing, there stood the lifeless body of non other than Samantha whom laid near the corner with her body covered in blood with her lifeless eyes looking straight up to the ceiling, but what made this scene a lot more gruesome was her caved in stomach which gave the indication that the baby died as well from the assault an hour ago.
"Mother of Celestia Travis" He said in a terrified tone. " WHAT DID YOU DO?! "
Travis was hesitant to answer , but soon gained the courage as he stammered. " I.............I thought it would have been different this time...................I thought ..................she would take me back this time I, I.................I don't know what came over me Rick, I just....................snapped"
"You more than just snapped man" Rick replied. " You just killed someone, do you know how serious this is? I mean, I always got you out of tickets and such, and bailed ya out whenever you violated their restraining order, but this, this is a dead body man, I don't even have the words to describe how disturbing this is" He then took a glance towards the mares lower regions and noticed something even more disturbing. " Travis...........................Did you have your way with her before you killed her?"
"I WAS DESPERATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Travis shouted and tears began to erupt. " Like I said, I thought it would be different this time, I though she would have taken me back. But I was wrong, oh so very wrong. and now look what's happened? Oh my Celestia SAM!!!!!!!!" The stallion then got up and buried his face into his friends chest as he began to sob uncontrollably. " What have I done, I couldn't control myself, I just wanted her back so badly, she was my everything, and now looks what's happened?! No ones ever gonna forgive me for this, I'm gonna be locked up for the rest of my life, or worse, they'll put my ass in the electric chair! I don't know what to do, I'm screwed Rick, I'm fucking screwed!!!!"
Rick looked down at his friend who continued to cry on his chest, while a part of him was utterly terrified and disgusted at the act he committed an hour ago, but despite all that, he was still his friend , and couldn't help but feel pity over him. The stallion couldn't bare to see his best friend either behind bars or executed for the crime he committed. After what felt like an eternity, Rick made his decision. " It.................it's gonna be alright Travis. Actually I know someone who might be able to make this go away" Travis stopped crying for a moment and took a second to look up at his friend.
" *sniff* Ya.......you do?" He sniffed.
"Yes I do" Rick continued. " Remember how I used to role with a pony yakuza gang back during our college days? " Travis gave a nod. " Well the leader of said gang actually specialized in getting rid of bodies if either a turf war or a drug deal went horribly wrong. Even though I long since quit, he still offered me his services If I ever needed his help with something, it's a little risky, but he might just be able to help with this by tonight. If ya have the bits in hoof, I'll circle around the old hideout and ask for his help, that is of your willing to accept it?"
Travis thought for a moment, while he knew it was a bit risky to require help from a gang especially if they're yakuza. He also knew that this might be his only chance to get out of this, as there's no way he'd get out of this mess scott free if he tried to take care of the body himself. After a minute of pondering, the stallion made his decision........................
"Go and get him Rick"

One hour later
"Sun goddess where the hell is he?!" Travis said to himself, after Rick offered to have an old friend clear up this whole mess. The stallion was quick to say yes. After that, the guard went out to go grab the hired help. But as the stallion waited patiently near the same spot where the crime was committed a couple hours ago, he began to feel anxious and worried that Rick wouldn't make it back in time and that his exes husband could show up at any second. " Come on Rick, it's gonna be morning by the time you arrive and that asshole will see me and kick my ass.................
Before the stallion could continue, there was a weird knock coming from the front door, similar to a morse code. Quickly and cautiously , he made his way towards the door all while praying that it wasn't Chris or another royal guard on the other side. But after checking the peephole, he found that it was indeed Rick along with a few other ponies whom he didn't recognize, after a moment, the stallion unlocked the front door allowing Rick and his little group inside.
Soon the royal guard entered the house alongside another group whom were the stallions former gang members, Travis took a second to look over each member of the group as they stepped inside the living room. The gang consisted of two unicorn twin stallions both of whom were carrying two empty sacks, a large muscular female pegasus wearing an eyepatch who was holding a large wooden crate, another female pegasus with a beanie practically covering her mane, an earthpony stallion with shades and a crowbar, and a griffon who was missing his left paw, all of whom were donning dark suits which meant that they meant business.
But what caught Travis's eye the most was the leader of the group, who stood before him. The stallion was a grizzled man who looked to be a few years older than Rick and Travis, while also donning a black fedora hat along with an expensive looking suit, and a mustache / chin hair combo, and he had a lit stogie in his mouth which showed that he not only means business, but is also the leader. After a short minute, the stallion finally spoke up.
"So......you the guy Rick said that needed my assistance?" He said as Travis gave a nod. " I see, I see " He then extended his hoof for a hoofshake to which Travis politely returned. " Names Carter, I'm sure Rick told ya already but, I'm the leader of this Pony Yakuza family, and this isn't even the entire gang. I usually save sending in the entire family unless we're either in a turf war, or if..............on second thought, ya don't need to know all that kid. Just tell me what we're working with"
Travis was hesistant for a moment, but eventually lead the grizzled stallion towards the crime scene in the kitchen. Carter was quick to survey the dead mare whom laid right in front of him, he rustled his chin hair a bit, until letting out a chuckle. "Is that all? Ha, I thought you were gonna give me a challenge Rick" He then straightened up his tie a bit before turning back towards Travis. " You sure let your jealousy get the better of ya, didn't ya bro? But hey, nothing to be ashamed of, I've been in your shoes a few times. But lucky for you, this is an easy clean up, but first off" He then extended his right hoof "I think you know what's required first?"
" Yes, I understand" Travis replied. " So how much do I owe ya?"
" Well....................." Carter began. " Usually making a body disappear is pretty pricey, especially the clean up that goes along with it. But since your a buddy of my old friend. I'd be willing to give a discount, say.................100 bits?"
"I can afford that" Travis replied, and then proceeded to take out the amount that Carter requested, the stallion then handed the large currency to the yakuza leader whom then ushered towards his gang.
"Alright, time to get to work fellahs" He called out and then pointed towards the twins. " You two, look around for anything valuable and snatch it to make it seem like a burglary"
"You got it boss" The twins said in unison, and made their way upstairs to find any valuables. As they did , Carter pointed towards the large mare.
"You package up the body" He said.
"On it boss" She said and walked over towards Samantha's corpse and began placing it inside the large crate. As she did this, Carter pointed towards the stallion with shades.
"You go ahead and break a few windows and trash the living room, make it seem like a breaking and entering" He requested.
"Got it" The stallion said and readied his crowbar, as he began smashing the first window, Carter turned towards the griffon and the beanie mare.
"And you two, start cleaning up the blood" He said. " Leave no trace of any DNA, especially if it's the clients"
"We're on it boss" The duo said in unison as they took out an assortment of cleaning supplies including some sulfuric acid, ready to clean off the blood. As they got to work, Travis couldn't help but watch in awe at how smoothly they began cleaning his crime scene, when Carter told him they were the best at jobs like this, he wasn't kidding. But his admiration was cut short as Carter placed a hoof on his shoulder.
"As for you kid" He said. " You should probably wash that blood off ya, you wouldn't wanna walk back home looking like that would ya?"
"Oh yeah good call" Travis replied, and then made his way towards the bathroom to wash the blood off his body, all while hoping the couple had anything strong enough to wash the blood off in their shower, all while Carter and his gang continued their little "clean up" job, even Rick, despite having long put this past behind him, gave a helping hoof here and there as well to his old friends.
10 minutes later
Soon Travis was out of the shower, looking all refreshed and relieved at the same time. Luckily he managed to clean the blood off his fur as to not leave any trace of his DNA, as he reentered the living room, the stallion found himself quite surprised at the groups performance, the way they rearranged the living room to make it seem like a breaking and entering looked like something straight out of an actual crime scene. And with the twin stallions sacks chalk full of valuables made the breaking and entering scenerio stand out even more, the blood was also cleaned off alongside any of the stallions hoofprints that were left behind in the kitchen, and Samantha's body has since been bandaged up and placed inside the crate the muscular mare was carrying. Carter soon stepped up to the at awe stallion.
"Whatya think?" He asked. " Pretty damn good job eh? It's as if you were never here in the first place, am I right?"
"Uh..............yeah it really does" Travis answered, and then proceeded to shake the yakuza leaders hoof. " I can't thank you guys enough, you guys pretty much saved my ass from getting either life in prison or the electric chair"
"No prob kid, happy to help. Any friend of Ricks is a friend of mine" Carter said, and then wrapped his arm around the stallions neck pretty tightly while also shooting him a menacing stare. " Oh and by the way, Rick probably forgot to mention this to ya but...................as you can see , we like to keep our services private. Unless we personally hand out our business cards to clients that we trust, after all, we wouldn't want the fuzz to catch onto our operations. So i would highly recommend that you don't tell or even recommend us to anyone that ya know, we wouldn't want something bad to happen to ya after all. Wouldn't you agree Travis?
Travis let out a small gulp at the stallions small threat, and then spoke up. " Mmmmmmmmmums the word"
"Good" Carter said and then playfully tussled Travis's mane. " Your alright kid, I can see why your Ricks best friend" He then turned his attention towards his gang who were about ready to head out . " Alright fellah's , we're done here, lets head out" Each member of the group nodded and with that, they made their way towards the exit ready to take their leave. " Pleasure doing business with ya kid, and Rick, ya know where to find us if ya ever need any help" Rick gave a nod as he and Travis said goodbye to the group . As Travis watched the pony yakuza gang exit out of the house, a strong sense of both relief and guilt plagued his mind to the core.
" You ok Trav?" Rick asked, snapping the stallion out of his thoughts.
"I guess" He answered quietly. " I just...................I don't know about this Rick, I......................."
"Hey no worries" Rick reassured. " before placing a comforting hoof on the stallions shoulder. " Trust me, I got your back all the way. No ones gonna suspect a thing, Carter is a natural when it comes to "cleaning up someones mess" . Now come on, lets get out of here before anyone see's us" Travis responded with a quiet " ok" . With nothing more to say, the two friends also took their leave, but not before Travis took one last look at the spot to which his exes corpse one stood just as he shut the front door.
1 year later
Eventually, time passed since that fateful day, and to the stallions surprise, no one suspected a thing. There was no doubt in his mind that Carter and his gang did a remarkable job in cleaning up the mess that he made , with no trace of evidence toward him left behind. After Chris returned home the next day, he found the entire living room trashed along with a few of his valuables missing along with his pregnant wife. After coming home to this horrendous crime scene, the stallion immediately organized a search party alongside his fellow comrades.
But alas, there wasn't a single trace of Samantha anywhere or even signs of fowl play. At one point Travis was called in for questioning giving his past with the victim and her husband, but with the lack of evidence, the stallion was clear of any accusations. The restraining order that was even brought on to him 3 years ago was now terminated. Despite all this, he decided to play it safe and to move back into his hometown of Ponyville. especially after Chris said that ( and I quote) " Castrate the son of a bitch who took my wife and unborn child" After that, Travis decided to move away from Canterlot as to not raise any suspicions.
So now we cut to said stallion sitting comfortably in the living room on this quiet afternoon , enjoying a cup of tea while reclining on his rocking chair. While he knew that he was in the clear, thanks to his friend Rick and the pony yakuza leader Carter. The stallion couldn't help but feel uneasy , especially given the fact that his plan to get his ex to take him back failed miserably. Speaking of his ex, the stallion caught a glimpse of a book that stood atop of the fireplace. He then extended a hoof as he grabbed the piece of literature, and found it to be his old Highschool yearbook. Curiosity got the better of him as he began to skim through the pages which contained pictures of some of his former classmates and teachers, but what caught his eye the most was the picture he and Samantha took together during their nature club expedition from their junior year.
Suddenly a single tear splashed onto the picture, and soon another followed, and another, and another, and another, until eventually, the broken stallion let out a small sob as he reminisced at the old picture between him and his ex. But his sadness soon turned to burning rage as the retinas in his eyes turned red for the third time and slammed the yearbook hard onto the carpet just missing the lit fireplace. " Damn it Sam, this is all your fault! Non of this would have happened if ya just taken me back!!!!!!" The stallion began to breath heavily after his little rant, trying his hardest to calm down, he then took a moment to survey the rocking chair that he was sitting on , which was passed down to him by his late grandmother. He wiped the tears from his eyes before gently rubbing the handles of the old chair " *sigh* I miss you nana, whenever mom and dad were away on business, you were always there to look after me. And your advice saved my ass so many times throughout my life, I could really use it now" The stallion soon found his eyes getting heavier and heavier until the drowsiness finally took over as he passed out into a deep sleep as memories of him and Sams time together began to play out in his mind.
Later that night
“Huh?” Travis’s grumbled, he soon awoken and found himself laying comfortably in his bed. “ What the, I don’t remember going upstairs, what’s going on here? Did I sleepwalk or……………….” But before he could get any answers, a loud creaking sound could be heard coming from downstairs which got the stallions attention immediately, especially given that he was the only one in the house. “ What was that?” Immediately the stallion got out of bed to go investigate the noise coming from downstairs.
The creaking noise grew louder and louder as the stallion made his way down the hallway, but as he continued to take step after step, he noticed the hallways growing suspiciously longer and more darker, almost creating an uneasy atmosphere. But the stallion simply brushed it off as he was probably just tired and this is just the nighttime playing tricks on him. Soon he made it to the stairs and proceeded to head down, at one point he attempted to turn the stair light on, but strangely the lights wouldn't turn on. “ Damn it, the bulb must have burned out” He then chose to ignore the broken light, even though it meant he’ll have to get a new bulb in the morning.
Soon he made his way downstairs as the creaking sound kept on getting louder, and soon he found himself in the living room staring straight into the source of the creaking sound which belonged to his late grandmothers rocking chair, but what caught the stallions eye was the fact that someone or something was sitting in it. Given the fact that the stallion didn’t have a roommate, or was expecting any visitors this late at night only filled his souls with fear at the thought of an intruder invading his house, quickly and quietly, he grabbed a nearby broomstick to use as a weapon as he cautiously approached the creature rocking in his chair.
“Hey” He said nervously. “ I don’t know who you are, but your trespassing, you got about ten seconds get out or I’ll have the cops over …………….
“Is that anyway to talk to your wife?” The stranger interrupted, Travis dropped his blunt object onto the ground as a response to the voice, which sounded strangely familiar so someone whom he once knew. soon the mare stepped off the rocking chair to face the stallion, and there standing meters away from Travis and sending his mind full of shock , stood non other than his ex lover Samantha, but what was more shocking was the fact that she was alive and breathing. Travis however noticed a few changes in her appearance, while she looked the same as when they first met, the only difference was her head and fur were all bloody in the same manner he left her in after the assault last year.
And she was also holding a mysterious object hidden underneath a small blanket, a wicked smile formed on the should have been deceased mares face which only made the stallion more uncomfortable, especially since he thought she was dead, but was standing over him alive and well, and bloody all over, the stallion tried to find the words to say, but the mare soon beat him to the punch. “ Your just in time honey”
Travis was hesitant to answer, but soon found a boost in bravery despite still being nervous. “ Jjjjjjjjjjjjust in time for what?”
“Why to see your baby of course” Samantha answered. “ This is what you wanted wasn’t it? You wanted to be the one to start a family with me? So now you got your wish” Samantha then proceeded to lift the blanket off the newborns head, and what the stallion saw right in front of him , chilled his spine to the core. There was an infant in the mares hoof, but not in the way he pictured it to be, the newborns eye sockets were completely empty and hollow looking souless , its entire face was rotten with flies and maggots swarming all over it, and it was drooling a bit practically leaving a small puddle on the ground. Travis wanted to scream at what was right in front of him, but it was as if he lost his ability to talk. “what do you think?” She’s beautiful isn’t she honey?” Sam then kissed the infants maggot infested forehead , which nearly made the stallion throw up.
“You finally got what you wanted Travis, who would have known it would take me getting murdered by you in order for me to finally have a baby?” Sam’s wicked smile grew bigger and bigger until it seemed like it stretched all the way across her forehead. “ Well, don’t leave your newborn hanging luv, give her a kiss”
“No……….I am not kissing that grub infest thing, your out of your mind” Travis spoke up. “ You’re not Sam, non of this is real, that kid is not mine” This response only made the mare furious.
“She’s not yours ?” She replied . “ She’s not yours?! Of course she’s yours, can’t you see she’s got your eyes dumbass?!” Suddenly the mares limbs began to make a cracking sound as her head started to twitch uncontrollably. “ You finally got your wish to start a family with me and you don’t believe she’s yours???!!!!!!!” Samantha’s limbs then stretched and grew slightly along with her neck which twisted into an unnatural angle, Travis stood in place as he watched his exes transformation into something that resembled a demonic spider. “ Come see for yourself Travis, come see that this baby is yours. I’m gonna ask ya one last time my sweet husband, Give…………..her………………..a………………………………….KISS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!’’
Suddenly Sam charged forward , baby still in hoof as Travis let out a blood curdling scream as he quickly dodged the demonic entity that resembled his late partner. " No way, no way, no way, no way!!!!!!" The stallion made a quick beeline for the front door but found that it wouldn't open or even budge, he quickly got out of the way just as Sam charged forward again. Slamming into the door leaving behind a bloody crack in the center.
“Travis!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
The stallion rushed forward hearing the sounds of his exes footsteps echoing throughout the hallway, hinting that she was on his tail. He soon found the entrance to the guest bathroom and rushed inside as fast as he could before Sam saw him enter. He quickly closed and locked the door before turning off the lights and barricaded it with a laundry hamper before taking cover inside the bathtub, he shut the shower screen and ducked below to make himself inconspicuous in case Sam entered. Travis held his breath, he didn't dare to make any noise, a part of him felt like crying as well, as this was his fault to begin with. If he hadn’t let his jealousy get the better of him, Sam would still be alive and he wouldn’t have to deal with this nightmare that stood before him.
The memories of his past actions last year began to play in his head as a hint of regret and remorse was written all over his face, but he knew now that it was too late to fix his mistakes. and all he could do now is lay there and hide hoping that the monstrous version of his ex would soon go away and that he'd wake up from this supposed nightmare that he was in.
“Just breath Travis” He whispered to himself. “ This isn’t real, this has to be a nightmare, there’s no way, there’s no way, There’s no……………………” The stallions words were cut short as he felt something fall down on his face, he looked up at the shower head that stood before him, believing that it was water that fell on him giving that this shower head had a bit of a leaking problem . The stallion then went to wipe the little twinkle of water off his face, but what he felt didn’t feel like water at all, it felt almost solid, and rather slimy. He surveyed the object that was in his hoof to find that it was a maggot, he quickly chucked the small larvae out of the bathtub, but his troubles were far from over.
Suddenly the shower head began to shake and rumble violently and soon thousands of maggots rained down on top of the stallion, Travis tried to scream, but was hesitant with the fear of catching any in his mouth. He could barely even move a muscle as larvae continued to rain down upon him , he tried his hardest to get out of the bathtub but it was as if the maggots were holding him in place as they continued to cover his entire body, the endless waterfall of larvae rained down more and more as the stallion struggled for air as his head was now completely covered as his hoof remained the only thing still risen up from the pile, Samantha’s spine chilling laughter could be heard echoing through the bathroom walls just as the stallions hoof sunk down into the maggot bath, never to rise…………………….again”

Horrors of Equestria : A Halloween anthology
We’ve all had a bully once in our lives, we never fully know the reason as to why they constantly mock, beat or berate us when we’ve done nothing to them. But they never care about our feelings, they find our sorrow and pleas to stop hilarious to feed their violent urges. Most say they act like this only for attention and to show off especially if they come from a rich family, or as a way to relieve stress due to constant abuse from a family member, or some did it cause they enjoyed watching others suffer like a sociopath, whom holds no regards for anyone’s feelings. Bullies can come in any form whether it’d be a kid, teenager, college student, or even a grown adult. Anybody can run into a bully, and many times, there’s no escaping them regardless of how much you tell on them or try your hardest to ignore them. And 30% of the time, they never learn from their mistakes. And I’m sorry to say, but this would eventually lead to karma catching up on the tormentor at some point when one of their acts goes way too far.
Inside the main office of Ponyvilles school house, we find one of the more well known teachers in the building Miss Cheerilee, alongside the principle of said school Mr Shephard whom was sitting at his desk with a stern expression written all over his face. Also in the room was a yellow furred filly with a red bow whom was also pressing a tourniquet on her bleeding forehead, her older siblings and her grandmother were also present as well alongside a silver furred filly with glasses, the other pony who was present in the room was one of the richest citizens in town, Filthy rich alongside his wife Seline and butler Chives.
All sixteen eyes in the room glared at a certain pink furred filly whom donned an expensive looking tiara, this filly was the main reason as to why this meeting was transpiring in the first place. Having been the cause of the farmgirls head injury an hour ago, the rich filly knew that she was in some deep trouble this time. The filly let out a nervous gulp as she waited for any of the adults in the room to say anything, after what seemed like an eternity, she finally got a response. But it wasn't a good one I'll tell ya'll that much............................................
"Unbelievable Diamond Tiara, just unbelievable!" Principle Shephard said. " You've done a lot of things these past few years, but this just takes the cake, pardon my language, but what in the hell made you think throwing a mudball with a stone the size of a golfball inside at poor Apple bloom was a good idea? What were you thinking?!" The filly was hesitant to respond at first, but soon came up with a lie in an attempt to get out of this.
"It was an honest mistake Principle Shephard" She replied trying her hardest to sound as innocent as possible. " I was just playing an innocent prank on Apple bloom, I didn't know there was a rock in ..........................
"She's lying Principle Shephard!!!" Bloom interrupted. " Tiara knew dang well there was a rock in there"
"Where's your proof?!" Tiara fought back.
"Your my proof dummy when you said and I quote " How did that rock taste Apple Hick?" Bloom protested which earned her gasps of shock from her family at the fact that Tiara had the nerve to speak to the filly like that.
"I said no such thing, stop lying ya blank flank!!!" Tiara shouted.
"Enough!!!!" Cheerilee screamed, which shut both girls up. " It seems that ya forgot the one golden oath about the Apple family Diamond Tiara, "never tell a lie" and for all my time with Apple bloom, she has never once lied to my face unlike you. And we do have proof that ya purposely put that rock inside that mudball before throwing it at her, what you also didn't know was that her friend Snails was in the same area playing catch with Scootaloo and he just so happened to catch a glimpse of you placing the rock inside said mudball with a devious grin written all over your face"
"Really Miss Cheerilee?" Tiara replied. " Your serious gonna believe the one colt who got his cutiemark from playing with the insect that he was literally named after?"
"Enough" Principle Shephard jumped in. " First off Snails aren't insects, they're mammals, and second of all Snails might not be the star student in school, but he is just as trustworthy as Apple bloom, and Sweetie belle would agree as well. And now I ask ya again young lady, what in the world drove you to do that to poor Apple bloom?"
"She had it coming!" Tiara debated. " That blank flank bumped into me and made me drop my Tiara in the hallway, look at the damage that pleb did to it!!!" She then presented her "damaged" diamond head wear to the adults in the room, each of them took a closer look at the tiara , but went blank faced when they saw the "damage" that she was ranting about.
"That's it young lady?" Filthy Rich said unmoved. " That tiny little dent is what your rambling about?"
"Of course daddy!" Tiara replied. " Do you have any idea how expensive this thing is? And that blank flank had the nerve to rudely bump into me and cause me to drop it, do you know how expensive repairs for this will be?!"
"First of, I didn't bump into you on purpose, it was an accident!" Bloom jumped in. "And second, I said I was sorry miss temper tantrum"
"Shut your face you Bla.............................
"You shut up!!!!!!!!!!!!" Big Mac shouted slightly scaring the rich filly as it was rare for Blooms older brother to speak in full sentences. " If ya'll call my sister a blank flank one more time you'll regret it!!!!"
"Oh so now ya wanna talk musclehead?" Tiara shot back earning a death glare from the stallion.
"Don't you talk to my grandson like that......................
"SILENCE!!!!!!!!" Principle Shephard boomed quieting down the entire room. " I don't need this turning into a warzone"
"Yes sir, my apologies" Big Mac replied, and then turned towards the couple. " I'm sorry to you too Mr and Mrs Rich"
"It's fine kid" He said, and then he and his wife shot a glare at the filly. " We don't blame ya'll one bit. Please continue Miss Cheerilee and Principle Shephard.
"Thank you Mr Rich" Cheerilee replied. " The fact of the matter is Tiara, you went way too far this time. Ever since you've showed up in my class you've been nothing but trouble. You mock your classmates who don't have cutie marks, you flaunt and show off your wealth the first chance ya get especially to those below you, you barely pay attention to my lectures, and you also pull nasty pranks on others. Do I have to remind you that poor Dinky had to go to therapy sessions for 2 weeks after you dropped that bucket full of spiders on her during last years schoolhouse Nightmare night party when you knew that she has a tramatic fear of them? But what you did to bloom and hour ago, this just crosses the line, there is no letting it slide this time young lady"
"But, Miss Cheerilee" Tiara defended. " My Tiara means everything to me, it's practically my trademark, if you were in my shoes and one of your most prized possessions got destroyed, you'd probably feel the same too. Silver spoon back me up here, you agree with me don't ya?" Tiara waited patiently for a response from her best friend/ lackey, and soon got a response which wasn't what she was hoping for.
"No Tiara" Silver spoon replied earning a gasp from the light pink filly. " Miss Cheerilee is right, you went way too far. You could have given Bloom either a concussion or worse killed her. These two ponies already lost their parents, how do you think they would have felt if they lost their little sister as well ? I've hung out with you as I felt it was only right to hang with another rich kid, but after seeing you now, I must have been pretty blind to believe that you were my friend. All those acts you forced me into secretly disgusted me. I should have just ditched you from the start, I know it'll take a while for me to make up for all the horrible acts I was forced to participate in. But I am no longer gonna be your lapdog and hurt the innocents just because they're not as rich or have cutiemarks yet, you went too far Tiara, way too far"
Tiara was in utter shock at what she just heard, her best friend since day one, wasn't defending her. But instead she was taking the side of the farm girl, who was just as surprised to hear those kind of words come out of Silvers mouth.
A thankful smile formed on the fillies face after hearing Silver spoons response . " Thanks Silver spoon, I appreciate that partner" This earned her an embarrassed blush from the rich filly.
"Wise words silver spoon, wise words " Principle Shephard said proudly. " Since you took no part in this latest scheme of your now former friend, you shall not be punished" He then turned his attention back towards Tiara. " As for you Tiara, like Cheerilee said, you went way too far this time young lady. And I'm afraid you'll have to face the consequences for your actions...............................one month suspension with your schoolwork being sent to you" The filly gasped in horror at the punishment that she was given.
"One month suspension?!" She shouted in disbelief. " But the field trip to Princess Celestia's castle is next Friday, I'll miss it!!!!!"
"Well you should have thought about that before bullying poor Apple bloom and her friends" Cheerilee shot back. " You should consider yourself very lucky Tiara, cause with what you did, your little butt would have been in juvenile hall for the exact same time as your suspension. So be grateful that we're going easy on ya and that the Apple family aren't pressing charges" Tiara's face turned a burning red and was about to explode until Cheerilee put out the fuse. " I wouldn't recommend going off Tiara, less you want to be suspended for 2 months instead?" Hearing this, Tiara calmed down slightly and just grit her teeth in silent frustration. "That's what I thought"
"We're finished here, thank you all for coming, and sorry again about all this Ms Smith" Principle Shephard said.
"No worries sir" Granny smith said, and then ushered her grandchildren to come along. " Come on Bloom, lets take ya'll to Doctor Stables office to take care of that wound" The entire apple family shot daggers at the rich filly for one last time before leaving the room, Silver spoon followed suit as well, also glaring coldly at her former friend. Tiara remained unfazed however , as she now viewed Silver spoon as a traitor for not having her back.
"Seline, you and Chives take Tiara home, I gotta get back to work" Filthy Rich said. " And don't worry about punishing her" Tiara couldn't help but breath a sigh of relief at her fathers response, but it wouldn't last long. " I'll be the one to give Tiara her punishment, personally" Diamond Tiara let out a gulp as her relief expression changed.
"Yes Honey" Seline replied as she and Chives began to drag Tiara out of the room.
"As you wish sir" Chives said, and soon he, Seline and Tiara exited the room. Both look just as disappointed at the filly as they escorted her throughout the hallway straight back to their mansion.
"I'm very disappointed in you young lady" Seline said in a furious tone with chives nodding in unison.
"Like I care about what you think, your just my stepmother" Tiara said in her head as she was being dragged away out of the scene.
Later that afternoon
Inside the manor of the Rich household, we find the little troublemaker herself, Diamond Tiara sulking inside her bedroom after the scolding she received from her father the second he got home . And delivered his promise to personally punish her the second he got off work, The filly sulked more and more at the punishments she was given, not just her one month suspension, but she was also grounded for the same period of time and worst of all, got her signature Tiara confiscated and replaced with a red bow. Which disgusted the filly to the core as it resembled the exact same one her rival wore.
The filly didn't even bother crying or ranting as it wouldn't have done much to help her case, plus it would have gotten her grounded longer if she even complained once. So the rich filly accepted defeat and chose to just sulk in her room and wait for her punishments to be over. But that didn't stop her anger from going away, the filly continued to sulk and toss and turn in her bed in silent frustration at the events from a few hours ago. With her former friend siding against her and taking Blooms side instead, and her father and stepmother for not showing sympathy for her damaged tiara. She viewed each and every one of them as traitors, especially Silver spoon.
The filly ran her hoof down her face in silent frustration, even though she was only a day in for her punishment. It felt like an eternity for the young girl as she silently prayed for all this to be over so that she could have her tiara back and hopefully repaired, to be able to have an allowance again to buy the latest expensive toys or dresses, and more importantly for Silver spoon to see the error of her ways and to beg her to take her back as her friend. But this was unlikely as the light pink filly heard a sound coming from her window, which sounded like the sounds of kids playing. At first she brushed it off as she knew one of the local playgrounds was only a block away from her families mansion, but her curiosity got the better of her as the sounds of laughter were suspiciously familiar.
The rich filly took a peek out her bedroom window, and to her shock and surprise. There stood non other than her former friend Silver spoon playing catch with non other the Cutie Mark Crusaders themselves, Sweetie belle, Scootaloo, and Apple bloom ( who's head injury was now all bandaged up). The four fillies seemed to be enjoying themselves much to the rich girls shock as her jaw dropped at the sight. She was about to silently react to the scene until she heard the group speak.
"Nice catch Silver spoon!" Sweetie belle Called out.
" Hehe thanks Sweetie belle" Silver spoon replied with a hint of gratitude. " And thanks for letting me play catch with you guys, I'm surprised you would even invite me after everything we've been through"
"Hey no sweat" Scootaloo said. " After you defended Bloom a few hours ago, you don't really seem like a bad pony, you were just hanging with the wrong crowd" This statement cause Tiara to let out a growl. " Besides anybody who defends my friends is alright in my book, and I'm sure Rainbow dash would agree with me as well"
"A smile of gratitude formed on the fillies face after hearing her classmates response." Thanks Scootaloo, there's no doubt in my mind that you guys will get your cutiemarks soon" Hearing this brought smiles to the trio's faces. " Do you think we could maybe..............start over and be friends?"
"We'd like that very much partner" Bloom replied with a nod.
"Welcome to the good side Spoons" Scootaloo said and gave her new friend a hoofbump to which she politely returned.
"Thanks guys" She said, and then proceeded to go along. " Anyways, pass it over here Sweetie belle!"
"Alrighty, go along buddy!" Sweetie belle chanted and then tossed the ball over to her new friend. As the former enemies now friends continued to play their game of catch, Diamond tiara continued to watch on, practically biting down on her window curtains in frustration as she began to shake violently fighting the urge to scream out in righteous fury.
"She gets me suspended" She began. " She gets me grounded for a month, she cost me the greatest field trip ever, and now she turns my best friend against me?!" As she continued to rant to herself , the retinas in her eyes began to turn a red color, with a demonic hue to them as well. " That will simply not stand, If I had known you would take so much away from me, then i would have used a much bigger rock on you, ya stupid blank flank! Apple bloom.........................................I'm gonna make you suffer"
Later that night
With midnight approaching, the filly quietly and stealthfully opens her bedroom door as she made her way out into the open with a small saddle bag in hoof, she took a second to survey the hallway to see if her parents and butler turned in for the night before quietly closing her door. As she tiptoes down the hall towards the stairs, she takes a second to take a peek inside her father and stepmothers bedroom to find the couple fast asleep much to the fillies relief, as she quietly steps downstairs, she also finds Chives fast asleep in his room as well. Knowing that the coast was clear, the filly made her way towards her father’s private study which she was forbidden from playing in or entering. And to her luck, Filthy rich forgot to lock it up which only made her mission much more easy.
As she stepped inside her fathers little private quarters, passing by every nook and cranny, she soon came across what she was looking for, which just so happened to be her fathers collection of some of the most expensive wines, champagne, and various other alcoholic beverages across Equestria. Her eyes looked around the various bottles that were right in front of her, looking for the one with the strongest alcohol content in it. And what caught her eye was the bottle which read “Beowulf” Which just so happened to be of easy reach for her. Finding what she was looking for, the filly carefully grabbed the bottle off of the large shelf surveying it slightly.
“He has a thousand of these” She thought . “ He won’t notice one missing” She then placed the bottle inside her saddle bag but not before grabbing a lighter the stallion uses for his pipe, and a small washcloth off the same shelf, Tiara finally and quietly exits the room with her tools in hoof as she quietly shuts the door as to not wake Chives up. After double checking to see if the coast was still clear, the filly made her way towards the back door, ready to head towards her desired destination.
It was almost 1am by the time the filly reached her destination, which just so happened to be the home of the one filly whom “ruined” her life yesterday and took everything from her. Sweet apple Acres is what it’s called, well renowned the entire community with supplying the town with the freshest apples and apple products this side of Equestria, which Tiara’s father helped fund as well. But I’m sorry to say that this wasn’t gonna last long as the filly had a plan up her sleeve for the entire Apple family. Her gaze was set upon an open window near the front entrance of the house which only made her plan even easier.
She quietly stepped inside the open window , trying to be as stealthy as possible. soon she was inside the house and took a quick glance to see if the coast was clear, and luckily it was. The filly made her way towards the kitchen area , her desired destination. Diamond tiara then took the bottle of alcohol and the washcloth, she proceeded to take the cork out of the bottle, luckily it was one of those pop off ones which didn’t require a corkscrew to get off which only made this easier and easier for the filly. With the cork off, she placed the edge of the washcloth in the nozzle before taking out the lighter and igniting the edge of the cloth.
A wicked smile formed on the fillies face as she looked at her reflection on the bottle before tossing it towards the stove, the bottle shattered instantly as the contents spilled out as flames began to ignite while the filly watched on in amusement as the kitchen began to ignite and spread in a barrage of flames, eventually leading towards the wooden table which ignited in seconds. The rich filly continued to watch on as the flames grew bigger and bigger until they eventually made their way towards other areas of the house, her wicked smile grew bigger and bigger at the sight, with her retinas turning back to the color red like they did hours ago. And the flames that surround the filly gave off demonic vibes to her demeanor as she showed the least bit worry and concern of what she has did, a small chuckle escaped her mouth as she took her exit out the same window she crawled in through.
The filly soon made her way outside as she watched the home of the apple family ignite on a roaring inferno, her demonic demeanor remained unchanged as she continued to survey the burning building as another evil chuckle exited her mouth “ You take my friend from me, so now I take your home from ya, you blank flank” That was the last thing the filly said before making her way back home before everyone woke up, just as the sounds of sirens could be heard , echoing in the distance.
The next morning
A large crowd of ponies were gathered around the soldering and charred remains of where the apple family residence once stood, everyone was in a sate of shock at the sight of the apple family home burned to a crisp as each and everyone of them wondered how something like this could have possibly happened. Luckily Apple bloom and the rest of the family managed to make it out of there before the fire spread any further. Speaking of the Apple family, the siblings along with the matriarch were devastated at the sight of their charred home, and with Winona sleeping outside, she managed to make it out safely as well and even rushed into town to get help. But by the time the family evacuated and the fire department arrived , the house was already burned down to the ground.
Each and every one of their possessions, family photo's, and worst of all, the money from all their apple product sells was gone. The family had no idea what they were going to do as they had no home or money to provide them, meaning that they'll either have to resort to staying at one of the elements house or be forced to move back to their hometown of Applepaloosa. Granny Smith felt the worst of them all, as the one house where she herself was born in, and where she also raised her son Bright Mac, was gone along with all the memories they all shared. As the family continued to sob at the sight of their burnt home with Twilight and the others, alongside the townsfolk comforting them, the main perpetrator behind the fire Diamond Tiara can be seen secretly surveying the sobbing family from afar, silently gloating at the sight of her work.
All while silently praising herself on a job well done before making her way back home, her revenge complete. While her punishments still stood, the fact that she made her rival suffer for getting her in trouble made the sociopathic filly feel a little better, but this will soon lead to her downfall.
We now cut back to the Rich manor as The matriarch, along with his wife, daughter, and butler were sitting in the kitchen eating breakfast that was prepared by Chives himself. Diamond Tiara felt a sign of relief at the fact that neither of them suspected anything. as she finished her meal, she grabbed her plate and cup to bring it into the kitchen. Noticing her fathers plate and cup empty as well, she acted as innocent as possible and grabbed it for him. " Here daddy, I'll get that for you"
"Thank you sweetheart" Filthy rich replied. " Keep this up and your grounding will be over before you know it" A devious smile formed on the fillies face as her retinas secretly changed colors for the third time.
"I cant wait" She replied in a bit of a devious tone. Suddenly the doorbell could be heard earning the groups attention, Chives was about to get up until Rich stopped him.
"I'll get it Chives, you go ahead and keep on eating" He replied earning a nod of gratitude from his butler. The rich matriarch made his way towards the front door wondering who that could possibly be at this early in the morning? As he reached the front door , he would soon find his answer as he unlocked and opened the door to find a pair of officers waiting for on on the other side. The stallion was in complete shock as he wondered why there were two police officers at his home? " Officers?................Is there a problem?"
"Good morning Mr Rich" The first officer said. "We're sorry to bother you this early, but could you step outside for a second, we have something to discuss with you"
"Uh......of course officer" The stallion replied nervously, and then stepped outside and shut the door , not wanting his wife or daughter to hear any of this. " So what is it you two wanted to talk to em about?" After a short silence, one of the officers spoke.
"Mr Rich" The second officer began. " Are you aware of the fire that transpired at the Apple family residence last night?"
"Yes of course" Mr rich replied. " It's such a tragedy that something like that would happen to that poor family, did you manage to find the cause of the fire? Also more importantly, why are you laying this onto me?"
"To answer your question Mr Rich" The first officer replied. " An hour ago after the charred structure was clear to scope around, me and my partner here began digging up any signs of evidence to find the source as to why the house burned down. And we just so happened to find the cause of it all, in the remains of the kitchen area to be ironically precise. As we suspected the rubble, we happened to come across the remains of what used to be a bottle of expensive alcohol along with the remains of a white wash cloth"
Filthy Rich was stunned at what he was hearing. " Wait, alcohol, washcloth, but that would mean..................................
"Yes" The first officer interrupted. " This was an act of arsony Mr Rich, and speaking of which, we happened to take a glimpse of the name of said beverage that was used as a molotov cocktail, which read "beowulf" And it just so happens to be one of the most expensive and most flammable vodkas in Equestria, and given that the apple family doesn't hold any alcoholic beverages in their kitchen. And you just so happened to have a collection of some of the most expensive drinks in Equestria, with Beowulf being one of them, we just so happened to come across.........................
"Wait hold on!" Rich interrupted. " You can't honestly be suspecting me of burning down their house?! Granny smith has been like a mother to be, hell she and her grandkids treated me like family. She the one who even got me this house in the first place!!! I would never have a reason to try and murder them, they're good ponies................"
"No one's accusing you sir" The second officer stopped him. " But what we're about to tell you does have an impact on your family, when we took the remains of the beowulf bottle back to the station for examination. We managed to scan the remains for hoofprints, and I'm sorry to say this Mr Rich...................................................but the hoofprints belong to your daughter" Filthy Riches jaw dropped at the officers accusations, with the hoofprints matching his daughters, the man didn't want to believe his daughter would have done something so cruel , despite the fact that she was pissed at Apple bloom for getting her in trouble. As he was about to defend his daughter, the officer once again stopped him in his tracks. " Before you say anything sir, I know this is hard to believe, but I'm sorry to say that the evidence leads to your daughter"
"We also came across an eye witness, whom goes by the name of Bulk Biceps" The second officer said. " He claimed to have spotted a filly last night while he was out for his late night jog, and the pegasus claimed that the filly shared the same fur color, mane color, and red bow your daughter is wearing, with a small saddlebag with the Beowulf bottle poking out of it slightly. I know this is hard to believe Mr Rich, but all evidence points towards your daughter, and we just so happened to have also recovered the remains of the washcloth that was used for igniting the molotov, which just so happened to have a name engraved on it" The officer then presented the remains of the washcloth to the stallion. " Is this your signature sir?"
The stallions eyes widened in complete shock, as that was his signature engraved onto the washcloth. And he instantly recognized it as his lucky washcloth that he kept in his private study whenever he spilled something or needed to blow his nose. The rich stallion felt himself lose his balance as he leaned back towards the door in utter disbelief at the thought of his daughter doing something so........................evil. " Tiara.................What the hell did you do?"
"I know this is a lot to take in Mr Rich, and I don't blame you" The first officer said. " But I'm sorry to say this, but your daughter is under arrest" The stallion was in complete shock after hearing this.
"What?!" He replied. " No please, she's only 8 years old!!!"
"And yet she almost killed an innocent filly and her family" The second officer said. " Regardless of her age, this is a very serious crime Mr Rich, and your daughter has to face the consequences of her actions"
"I know ...............but listen, there's no need for that" Mr rich replied. " Let me be the one to punish her"
"Beg pardon sir" The first officer jumped in. " But that kids been punished by not just you but her teacher dozens of times but never learns from her mistakes, and this wasn't even the first time we've had to inform you on one of the acts she's committed, despite most of them being pranks pulled on her classmates or stealing a toy from a store"
"I know, I know" Filthy Rich assured. " But please, this time will be different. Just give me one more chance to punish her, and I promise you, she'll never cause trouble for Apple Bloom , her classmates, and her teachers ever again" The two officers were hesitant at first, as they knew the filly needed to face consequences for her actions despite her young age, but they also knew that her father knew best as well and that it was only fair to have him deliver the punishment. " Please officer, just give me one more chance, my daughter will never cause trouble for anyone ever again"
“.....................Very well Mr Rich “ The first officer said. “ We shall give you one more chance to punish your daughter, but if your little plan doesn’t work , then we’ll have no choice but to take her in”
“I understand sir” The stallion replied with a slight sigh. “And don’t worry”

Later that day
We find filthy rich alongside his wife , butler Chives, and of course his daughter Tiara sitting comfortably in their respected seats onboard the moving passenger train that was taking them straight towards their destination. After his conversation with the officers a few hours ago, the stallion immediately made arrangements to set up a small trip to the outskirts, not even bothering to pack any luggage. After filthy Rich informed his wife and butler at what the officers told him Tiara was behind the fire, the pair were just as shocked as the matriarch. As the train continued towards their respected destination, the stallion along with his wife and butler remained blank faced as they knew exactly where they were going, all while feeling slightly regretful of the choice. When Tiara asked where they were going, Filthy Rich simply told the filly that they were going on a small trip. The filly didn’t ask any questions as she did enjoy taking trips especially if it was to either an amusement park or the beach.
But I’m sorry to say that this trip isn’t what the filly would expect, and just as the train reached the station, she would soon get her answer. The engine let off a long rush of steam as passengers began to exit out of their respected coaches along with the rich family. They soon began their trek towards the destination the second they exited the station. After what felt like a 2 mile hike for the group, they eventually reached a large building, the sight of the building caused the filly to raise an eyebrow in suspicion as this didn’t feel like a fun little vacation spot, it didn’t even look fancy enough to be a hotel. And the sigh that read “ Second Chances” didn’t help either, as it only raised the fillies suspicions as to what this place could possibly be?
Soon they made their way inside the building where Rich walked towards the counter , where the receptionist was waiting for him, the filly couldn’t quite point out as to what the two adults were discussing. And she didn’t even bother asking her butler or her stepmother as like her father, they wouldn’t give her a clear answer as to what the purpose was to this little trip if there wasn’t any fun location in mind. After a few minutes, filthy rich signed a mysterious piece of paper before walking back over to the trio. He gave a nod towards his wife and butler signaling them to stay in the lobby.
“Come with me tiara” He said quietly, tiara’s suspicions grew more and more, but she didn’t bother to ask why as she wouldn’t have gotten an answer anyways, so she just followed her father while Seline and Chives waited in the lobby. He led his daughter up the stairs to the room that the receptionist pointed out to him while he was at the front desk. They eventually found themselves at the second floor of the large building with various rooms scattered throughout the hallway, but the room that was assigned to the stallion red “number 4” Which ended up being only a few meters away from them.
Rich then proceeded to open the door before turning back towards his daughter. “ Tiara………sweetheart, Me , mom , and chives need to take care of some “adult business” downstairs. So I’m gonna need you to wait in this room for me, can you do that sweetheart?”
Tiara once again raised an eyebrow, but never the less followed her father’s directions. “ Uh………..ok? Whatever you say daddy. Will whatever you’re doing take long at all?”
“No it won’t” He said quietly before giving his daughter a hug, trying to hold back the urge to shed a tear. After a few seconds, he ended the hug before turning away. “ Just stay in this room until we get back young lady” Tiara watched her father walk back downstairs to the lobby, but again didn’t question anything as she knew he would be back to get her in a few minutes ( or so she thought ) , with nothing more to say, she headed inside the room her father specifically told her to “wait” in. As the filly walked inside. She was treated with something that she wasn’t expecting, the room looked small and bleak, with the walls painted an early gray color with a. Few spiders crawling all over it, an old wooden toy chest could be seen in the center looking practically empty with a few broken toys inside, sitting atop of a rug which looks like it’s seen better days, and there were 4 beds scattered across the room who’s wooden frames looked just as chipped and decayed as the toy chest, and the only source of fresh air and light in the room, came from the one window that stood across the room.
Diamond Tiara was in a state of utter confusion as she wondered what the hell this place was , as it seemed way too bland and sad looking to be a hotel of some sort. " What the hell is this, why would he want me to wait in this crap hold? And what sort of business would he even have in a place like........................... "
“Well look what he have here” Came a voice which interrupted and got the fillies attention, and soon a dirty looking colt who looked to be about the same age as the filly popped out from behind one of the beds, slightly surprising the filly as she wasn’t expecting anyone else in the same room. But the colt wasn’t the only one, as in an instant, five more ponies popped out of the shadows with one of em looking to be in his preteens. And they were all in the same state as the first colt . The filly had absolutely no idea what was happening right now or who these kids were, but she would soon get her answer as one of the kids in the room spoke up.
"You the new guy around here?" One of the fillies asked . Heh, been a while since we've got some fresh meat around here"
"Heh you said it" Said one of the colts. " Especially a Rich piece of meat.
"Who you calling a piece of meat ?!" Tiara protested. " And what the hell do you mean I'm the new guy around here? Me and my parents and butler are just here for business, I don't know what you filthy ponies are on about, but I ain't staying here. My daddy just told me to wait in this room for unknown reasons while he takes care of some business in the lobby downstairs"
"Hey did you hear that fellahs?" The preteen colt said. " She thinks her daddies gonna come back and get her!" The room soon interrupted in laughter from all the kids in the room, minus Tiara who was visibly annoyed at what could possibly be funny about what she just said. " Kid, I hate to break it to ya. But your dad just ditched ya, this place your standing in is where kids like us are sent if we've done something really bad to piss off our parents and loved ones off. Instead of grounding us or send us away to juvie, they just up and ditch us here as they don't wanna deal with raising a criminal"
" Indeed" One of the fillies said. " Sure there's a chance that either our parents would forgive and let us come home, or we'd get adopted. But those chances are slim as hell, especially after the sins we committed. After I nearly poisoned my teacher by placing drain cleaner in his coffee after he gave me a months detention, I doubt my parents will let me come home"
"And after I pushed my little brother down the stairs after he tattled on me, I doubt my dads gonna forgive me" One of the colts said.
"My best friend ain't gonna forgive me, especially after I killed his dog" One of the colts said. " It wasn't my fault that he got loose and bit my ankle, I was just acting in self defense. But no, he just called me a psychopath and a dog murderer, and my parents, you don't even wanna know how pissed off they were at me"
"No way I'm coming home after I poured flammable chemicals on a bullies face during chemistry class" Another colt said.
"Or when I tried to blind my mother after she read my diary" Another filly said . " Sheesh if you were concerned about my behavior, don't go reading my diary mom, it's non of your business"
"And of course yours truly" The preteen colt said. " I've been in here since I was 8 years old, I'll be 13 next year, and I highly doubt my folks are gonna take me back, they didn't even bother responding to my various letters I sent these past 5 years. Plus no one want's to adopt a teenager these days. I'll most likely be in here till I'm 18, and who knows if society would even give me another chance after what I've done. Seriously, It wasn't my fault my little brother got run over by that carriage, just because I was supposed to babysit him that doesn't mean I'm able to watch him while taking a crap. But they didn't listen, they just called me irresponsible and a poor excuse for an older sibling, especially since he's gonna be in a wheel chair for the rest of his life. That just goes to show that my folks aren't coming back due to my mistake, Face it kid, this is where your here to stay"
Tiaras jaw dropped at what she had just heard, this place, that she was visiting , was actually some sort of boarding home for ponies who've done bad things, and the thought of her father leaving her here after what she's done scared the filly to the core, but she refused to believe any of this. " No, no your wrong!!!! My daddy wouldn't abandon me! Sure I've done a few things, but I'm not a bad pony"
"Your not a bad pony eh?" One of the fillies said. " Then why did you burn down that poor fillies house? " A cold shiver ran down Tiara's spine as she wondered how she could have possibly known what she did last night? " Yeah that's right, we know what you did, everyone knows what we've done, word gets out pretty quickly in a place like this. Face it Diamond Tiara, you can deny it all you want, but your a bad pony, and your folks agree as well. This is what happens when your bullying goes too far, there's no going back after what you've done, your stuck here.............................just like us"

The poor filly began to hyperventilate as the kids in the room began chanting the exact same thing over and over again, as the revelation that she was indeed one of them now brought fear into the fillies soul as she silently prayed for all this to be a joke and for her father to walk through that door and to say " Come on Tiara, lets go home" but I'm sorry to say, but the filly was in for a shocking awakening, cause down in the same lobby, Filthy Rich was seen sighing another sheet of paper at the front desk as Chives and Seline watched on with looks of guilt written on their faces as well.
"Rest assured Filthy Rich, your daughters in good hooves" The receptionist said to the guilty stallion. " We'll take good care of her, you have nothing to worry about"
"Thank you miss" He said quietly, his blank expression unchanged, he then finished the last of the paperwork before he and his wife and butler made their way towards the exit, their faces unchanged.
"Damn, poor kid" A mare caretaker with a dark reddish mane said under her breath. " I'd hate to be her right now"
Soon the trio were outside the building , ready to head back home, while feeling guilty for leaving behind the filly. But after what she did to the Apple family, they also knew that this was for her own good as they couldn't bare to see the filly locked away behind bars until she turned 18. Filthy Rich felt the worst of them all as he tried his hardest to keep his daughter in line as so she wouldn't become like his ex wife Spoiled Rich. As they continued to walk away, a voice could be heard calling out to them from the second floor window of the building.
"Daddy, come back!!!!!" Tiara called out. " Please I'm sorry , I won't do it again I promise. I'll be a good girl . Please Daddy don't leave me here, I'm a good girl, I'm not a bad pony!!!!! Please Daddy I don't wanna stay here, give me one more chance I promise I'll be good, don't leave me here!!!!!!!!" Hearing his daughters voice caused the stallion along with his wife and butler to stop in their tracks much to the fillies relief as she thought they changed their minds, but she would be proven wrong as they continued to walk away from the building much to diamond Tiara's horror. " No, no, no, no, no, no Daddy , Seline....I mean Mom, Chives come back!!!!!" Tears began to rain down as the filly banged hard onto the window as she continued to beg desperately for them to come back. " Don't leave me here please, I'll be good I promise, please daddy I wanna go home. I'm not a bad girl, I'm not a bad girl, I'm not a bad girl, I'm not a bad girl, I'm not a bad girl, I'm not a bad girl.........................
The fillies cries and pleas laid on death ears as the trio continued to walk away not bothering to look back, a single tear formed on the stallions face as his wife and butler placed comforting hooves on his shoulder as they too couldn't fight the urge to shed a tear themselves.
"I'm sorry Tiara" He said quietly.
"but this is for your own good"
Two months later
Inside a quiet peaceful home, we find a rich young unicorn couple in the kitchen , with the stallion reading the latest article of today's newspaper while his wife was finishing up the breakfast she was preparing. " Huh would you look at that honey? "The apple families home restored to its former glory thanks to a generous donation from Filthy Rich"
"Good for them" The mare said. " I'm happy that family got a new home, it was such a tragedy what happened to them a few months ago, but I'm extremely happy that they got back onto their feet . That Mr Rich, he is such a kind and generous man"
"He sure is honey" The stallion said. " We need more stallions like him in this world, but it's still kind of strange. I wonder whatever happened to his daughter?"
"Beats me" The mare answered. " I've heard a few rumors at work that he either sent her away to a behavioral camp, or transferred her to a boarding school. But the weird thing about it, it's almost as if she suddenly vanished?"
"Well wherever she is, I hope she's thinking long and hard about her actions towards others, especially after what she did to that poor filly and her family" The stallion said. " I'm just happy that we won't have to worry about our daughter going down that road"
"Indeed " The mare replied. " I'm so happy that you convinced us to adopt, after the doctor informed us that my infected uterus would prevent us from having kids, I was heartbroken. But when I met that filly, I felt like the happiest woman alive, and that gave me so much hope"
"Me too honey, me too" The stallion reassured. "She may not be related to us by blood, and we've only had her for a couple of months. But that kid is the best thing to ever happen to us, and rest assured we're gonna give her the best life here, and be the best adoptive parents she's ever had" His wife then placed three plates of pancakes onto the table for herself, her husband, and adopted daughter to enjoy. " Oh thank you honey, looks great" He then heard the sounds of hoof steps. " Oh , hehe seems the smell of your famous blueberry pancakes woke her up too"
Soon a young light pink furred filly walked into the kitchen, her eyes were completely blank and looked slightly soulless as she donned a big smile on her face, looking as happy as possible in front of her adopted parents. After what felt like an eternity, the filly walked over to the kitchen table and took her seat, ready to enjoy her pancakes. " Good morning mother and father, my apologies if I was late coming downstairs"
"No apology needed sweetheart" The stallion said proudly. " You right on time, and thank you for using your manners"
"It's no problem at all father, thank you" She replied. "You guys took me in after all, and i wanna try my hardest to be the best daughter you guys ever had, I would deeply hate to be a bad girl and to disappoint you lovely ponies"
"Nonsense" The mare said. " You have absolutely nothing to worry about sweetie. We're gonna love and take care of you no matter what, and your not a bad girl either, your a good girl my little Diamond and we're gonna love you no matter what"
"Thank you mother, I greatly appreciate you and fathers generosity and kindness, and providing me with a loving home" The filly said earning proud heartwarming smiles from her adopted parents. " And your right about one thing, I am a good girl" She then took a moment to stare off into the space as if she was looking directly at someone right in front of her, her soulless expression and smile growing bigger and bigger by the minute as she does so.

Horrors of Equestria : A Halloween anthology
Ego's, they tend to pop up every now and again on a certain individual. There are times when a person lets their inner ego get the better of them. Which gives them the urge to show off how amazingly talented, handsome, or beautiful they are, which tends to be annoying to some . However, there comes a time where having an ego can surprisingly be a good thing. These right here are called egotists, to put it in layman's terms, egotists are sports players who were born with a hidden talent that outshines their teammates, which is a great attribute to have on a team in order to reach the top. But this too however can lead to downfalls, as one athletic teen is about to find out.......................
"What do you mean I'm off the team?!" Boomed a voice that echoed throughout the parking lot of Canterlot high. This voice belonged to non other than Lightning dust, one of the star athletes in school behind both Rainbow Dash and Spitfire. The latter was completely shocked at the fact that her captain announced that she was off the volleyball team the second she showed up for their usual team meeting in the parking lot.
This news came as a surprise to the young athlete as she begins to ponder on what exactly she did that caused her teammates to turn on her. But she would soon get her answer.
"I meant what I said Dust" Spitfire said sternly. " Your off the team"
"But why?!" Lightning Dust interjected. " I've been on this team for 2 freaking years! What could i have possibly done to make you guys kick me the star athlete to the curb?!"
"What could I have possibly done?" Cloudkicker replied in a mocking tone. " First off Dust, it's that damn ego of yours that's pissing us off, and quite frankly we're tired of it"
"What an athletes not allowed to do a little showboating after a victory?" Lightning Dust defended.
"Not if its for every single game" Blossomforth cut in. " And it's not just that, you barely cooperate with us or follow the game plans, you just act like your the only person on the team. Plus you barely even pass the ball to any of us, or let any of us score a single goal"
"What are you talking about?" Lightning Dust asked. " I pass it to to you guys sometimes"
"You mean once or twice a game?" Spitfire replied. " The point is Dust, you think the team revolves around only you, and that your the main focus like a protagonist in an anime, movie , or video game, while we're just the NPC's or side characters to you"
"Oh come on Spitfire!!!" Lightning Dust shouted. " You know damn well this teams not complete without an egotist. Plus I'm the reason we finally beat those damn shadowbolts during last years friendship games, and you already know about my dream of competing in the olympics one day? I gotta put up a show if I'm to be scouted by any of the pros and the top rated colleges in the city"
"You , you, you, It's always been about you dust" Spitfire replied. " This is what we're talking about, your ego's out of control Dust. And honestly, I don't think it's ever gonna change, not even Dashes ego is this huge and she's able to keep it at a reasonable level. I'm surprised it took me this long to see your many flaws, I'm sorry Lightning Dust, but I won't allow such behavior such as yours on the team. We already put it to a team vote and it was anonymous, even coach agrees with us. Our decision is final dust, your off" With that the entire volley ball team nodded before walking away, Dust however wasn't about to give up and grabbed onto her former captains arm.
"Captain please, you can't do this!!!!" She cried out. " I've been looking forward to this game all year, my entire families flying out to see me play as well! I'll just die if you don't let me play please!!!!!" Spitfire however, yanked her arm out of Dusts grip.
"I'm sorry Dust" She began. " But our minds made up, your off, and that's final. But if ya do manage to keep that ego of yours in control, maybe we'll let you come back next year. Now if you'll excuse us, we gotta get to practice, you have until Friday to turn in your uniform. Have a good day Dust" With that , the entire team walked away , not even bothering to look back at the shocked athlete whom stood in place, still stricken about what just transpired. Lightning Dust began to breath heavily as she watched her now former teammates walk away from her, the realization that she was officially dropped from the team shocked her to the core. But the teens shock soon turned to burning rage as the retinas in her eyes began to change into a sinister looking red color.
Lightning Dust let out a loud roar as she slammed her fist straight into the back window of a car, with the shattered glass landing onto the the road with one of the shards flying towards and cutting her cheek slightly. The teen didn't even flinch when the shattered window cut into her wrist and hand as she continued to snarl angrily, her retinas still the demonic looking red color along with some veins popping into her forehead which signified her true anger towards her former teammates from their "betrayal" towards her.
A few minutes later
We now find Lightning Dust sitting inside the office of non other than Principle Celestia, who was looking all kinds of upset at the teen, especially given that the car window that she smashed belonged to non other than her younger sister and the Vice principle of the school , Principle Luna, who was just as furious at Dust for the damage towards her Hyundai Sonata especially sine she just bought the thing. And now has to pay for the damages to her destroyed window. After a short silence, Principle Celestia finally spoke.
"Lightning Dust" she began. " I am deeply disappointed in you, just because your upset about something, that doesn't mean that you can take your anger out on someones private property. And now my sister has to pay for a new window on the car that she just bought, and not only that, and I had to practically bribe her to stay outside given how much of a short fuse she has, cause there's no telling what she'd say or do to you after what you did to her precious car. also you could have seriously damaged your arm permanently if you hit the window any harder"
Lightning Dust looked down at her now bandaged arm and hand before finally facing the Principle of the school. " I'm truly sorry Principle Celestia, I didn't know there was a car in front of me when I lost my cool, I swear"
Principle Celestia let out a sigh before speaking again. " I can understand that Lightning Dust, I can see that it was an accident. But like I said, you shouldn't let your anger get the better of you. I understand that your upset about being kicked off the team, and no I can't convince them to bring you back, that's for coach Will to decide. But again, that's no reason to damage someones private property regardless if it was an accident or not"
"I know ma'am" Lightning Dust replied as she lowered her head in shame. " I'm very sorry"
"I know you are" Celestia said. " Since you didn't know there was a car in front of you, and that it was an honest accident. I'll let you off with a warning just this once, but I'm gonna assign you to see the school therapist in order to handle that temper of yours starting next Monday. Do I make myself clear?"
Lightning Dust was silent for a moment, before reluctantly answering back. " Yes ma'am"
"Good" Celestia replied. " You may go home now, have a good rest of your day " With that, the teen nodded before collecting her backpack , exiting the room. As she made her way to the outside hallway, she was met with non other than Vice Principle Luna who looked all kinds of pissed towards the teen who ruined her new car.
"Don't think this doesn't mean you ain't paying for the damages to my car brat" She said angrily before stepping into the office, slamming the door behind her. The teen didn't even bother to try and apologize , as it wouldn't matter as she probably wouldn't accept it anyways. The teen just sulked silently and proceeded to leave the large building, all while coming into terms that her career of representing Canterlot High was officially over.
Later that afternoon
Inside the residence of non other than Lightning Dust, we find the parents of said teen sitting comfortably on the kitchen table eating dinner all while the couple silently recollected at her daughters behavior after coming home an hour ago. After being informed of their daughters expulsion from her sports team, the couple tried to comfort their sulking child but to no avail as Lightning dust simply chose to just sulk in her bedroom for the rest of the night. She didn't even bother to tell them the truth about her damaged arm and hand in order to avoid getting grounded, and instead told them that she fell down the stairs and injured it on impact. As they continued to eat their meal, the couple remained visibly worried about their daughters sudden mood.
"Frank" The woman began. " I'm worried about Lightning dust, she's been locked inside her room for the rest of the day since heading home, she didn't even want to have dinner, I don't even know if she showered"
"I know how you feel Pearl" Frank replied. " If I got kicked off one of my sports teams back in Highschool, I'd feel the same way too. But maybe it's for the best, as this could be that girls wake up call to control that ego of hers before it gets her into anymore trouble"
"I guess" Pearl said. " But still.........................
"I wouldn't worry too much dear" Frank jumped in. " Lightnings a tough girl, she'll get over it eventually. And who knows? Maybe they'll let her back on if she learns to control that ego of hers? The best we can do now is to leave her alone, as it's probably not a good idea for us to try and console her when she's in this state. But one things for sure, we'll have to take her to an actual doctor tomorrow to look over that damaged arm and hand of hers just to make sure it isn't infected" Pearl didn't say anything, but simply nodded in agreement at her husbands response, all while silently praying that her daughter feels better soon.
But I'm sorry to say, but this was easier said than done. As laying in her bed sulking stood non other than Lightning dust who remained visibly upset at her former teammates decision earlier today. The realization that she was no longer part of the team after putting in a lot of work these past two years, and now she'll be skipping tomorrows big game. Whats more disappointed is that her relatives from out of state will no longer have a reason to fly out as she was no longer playing, and to make matters worse, this game could lead to the CHS volleyball team going to the nationals if victorious, and she wouldn't be a part of the experience of going against high school teams from across the globe. As she stared at the selfie she and her teammates took from their last game, Dust let out a long growl.
"I can't believe they did this to me" She said to herself. " They just up and crush my dreams of going to the nationals , all because I made a few mistakes! I was so looking forward to this game , and to see all my relatives cheer me on when I go on to the nationals, and now it's all gone. My hopes and dreams shattered ! Spitfire..................I hope you get run over by the rival teams bus"
"You don't need them" Came a voice from out of nowhere, which earned the sulking teens attention.
"Your far better than either of em. They're just jealous of your talents"
"They don't see that your the most superior athlete"
"They took you for granted, they crushed your dreams"
"Yeah...............they did , didn't they?" Lightning dust responded.
"They sure did, how selfish of them, they don't deserve someone as amazing as you"
"No they don't............................"
"Those traitors don't deserve to play the big game after what they did to you, they deserve to suffer"
"They deserve to feel the exact same pain that you felt when they stabbed you in the back"
"You don't need them my child.........................you don't need them"
"Yeah.............I don't need them" Lightning Dust said in a sinister tone as the retinas in her eyes turned back into the demonic red color from earlier today when she smashed her arm into Principle Luna's car window. " You traitors cost me the nationals, If I can't play.............................neither will you guys"
Friday night
The night of the big volleyball match between Crystal prep and Canterlot high has arrived, the bleachers flooded with both students and families of the respected athletes ready to enjoy the match. The sounds of cheers echoed from both sides as they all waited for their respected teams to step onto the court, with this match deciding on which school is going to the nationals only made the crowd more and more excited , given the fact that one of their respected schools might be making their way to the nationals if victorious. There was no doubt that this game was gonna be epic as it decides it all, but I'm sorry to say that this match was about to take a dark turn........................
Inside the ladies locker room, we find the entire volleyball team all suited up and ready to play as coach Will finished going over the game plan one last time before they stepped foot onto the court. " Alright girls, this is it. After months of training, the big day has finally arrived, we kicked those shadowbolts asses last year, and we'll do it again and rub it in their faces when we win this match and head on over to the nationals while they stand there and watch, now lets get out there and give the audience a good old Canterlot High welcome!!!!!!!" The entire group cheered as they begun exiting the locker room, ready to have a good match with their rival school.
But as they walked down the hallway, Spitfire noticed a sudden mood change in one of her teammates. " Whats wrong Derpy, nervous?"
"No it's not that captain" Derpy replied. " It's just ............do you guys think we were a little too hard on Lightning dust yesterday?" Hell she didn't even show up for school today, or even turn in her uniform as ordered by both you and coach"
"Hell no" Greta cut in. " We're better off without her Derps, I'm surprised it took us this long to finally kick her to the curb"
"Agreed" Misty replied. " I'm sorry Derpy, but Lightnings ego has been out of control since day one. , hell not even AJ's and Dashes ego's are this huge, Dust needs to learn that there's no "I" in team"
"I guess, but...................." Before the cross eyed teen could say anything else, Spitfire placed a comforting hand on her shoulder.
"This was a hard decision for all of us Derpy" She began. " It really is, but it's true. Lightning needs to learn to control her ego if she want's us to take her back one day. But right now, it's best that we give her space, as shes probably pissed off right now" Instead of responding, Derpy simply nodded in agreement as she knew her captain was right about giving their former teammate some space "for now" With nothing more to say, the group proceeded towards the main entrance of the gym just as the announcer presented the two rival schools.
The entire gymnasium exploded in a chorus of clapping and cheers as the shadowbolts and the wonderbolts entered the court ready to get this game started, son the two groups entered the surrounding area to which the volleyball net stood as the team captains Spitfire and Indigo Zap stepped forward and proceeded to shake hands with each other.
"Sup Zap?" Spitfire said. " You shadowbolts ready to lose to us again?"
"Pfft in your dreams Spits" Indigo redacted. " One loss isn't gonna effect our winning streak, we'll get our revenge, just you wait"
"May the best team win then" Spitfire nodded.
"Hell yeah!" Indigo replied, and with that, the two captains released each others hands as they went to their respected spots ready to start the match, the two teams got into their respected positions as the rep entered the center circle, volleyball in hand ready to blow his whistle to indicate the start of the match. Derpy however was preoccupied with something else as a strange noise can be heard, not from the reps whistle but from somewhere else which got the teens attention. Some of her teammates were quick to notice this and began to wonder what was distracting their cross eyed friend from the soon to be game.
“Derpy, what’s wrong?” Sirrus cloud asked. “ The match is about to begin, why are ya zoning out all of a sudden?”
“Do you guys hear that, Derpy replied as she raised a suspicious eyebrow.
“Hear what?” Greta asked.
“I don’t know” Derpy continued. “ But it sounds strange, almost like…………..something is approaching us?”
“You’re probably just having the nervous jitters” Cloudkicker said. “ Now focus up and stop getting………………….” But before she could say anything else, the mysterious noise that Derpy was hearing grew louder, and it instantly got the other members attention. “ Wait………..I do hear something. What the hell is that?”
The mysterious noise continued ton grow louder and louder as if it was approaching the surrounding area as the teens began to ponder what it was, even the rep was confused as to what the mysterious noise was along with the shadowbolts.
“What is that?” Indigo zap asked.
“Dunno kid” The rep said” Strange, it almost sounds like………………..something revving up” But the entire gymnasium would soon get their answer as the mysterious revving noise grew even more louder until it turned to the sound of something approaching, soon the entire crowd joined into the chat as they too wondered where that noise was coming from, but their confusion would not last long, cause in a split second, the entire gymnasium roared with a sudden bang as a pickup truck crashed straight through the outside entrance , entering the room at top speed. The sounds of blood curdling screams and sickening cracking sounds echoed through the room as the large truck careened into the room moving in various directions as the sounds of panicking students, parents , and faculty could be heard.
After what felt like an eternity, the chaos seemed as if it finally died down as the sounds of the pick up truck were no longer heard, indicating that the wreckless driver was done with their massive stunt. Soon spitfire regained consciousness as she struggled to get up, but found it nearly impossible as her legs felt limb and sore, her vision was groggy at first at as she looked around at the chaos that was around her, the entire Gymnassium was in a battered state as the volleyball nets was completely destroyed along with some of the bleachers, tire marks were scattered along the surrounding area as various athletes lay on the ground motionless with some of their limbs twisted or bent at weird angles as their respected families, whom managed to avoid the chaos, rushed down to check on their respected kids praying that each of em still had a pulse after the impact from the pick up truck, while Derpy, whom managed to successfully dodge the oncoming truck was seen phoning an ambulance all while trying to hold back her tears at the sight of her unconscious friends scattered throughout the court.
Spitfires gaze was now set on the pickup truck, which now stood at the center of the gymnasium with some blood splattered on the interior and the reps motionless figure stuck under the idle vehicle. Soon the driver side door opened up as the mysterious driver soon stepped out, spitfire with her vision still groggy, had a hard time trying to identify the figure as they walked closer and closer towards the shocked and battered teen before kneeling down , the only known feature the fire headed teen was able to identify from the driver was the menacing looking color of her retinas , which were a bright demonic looking red color, the mysterious figure then got closer to Spitfires face before saying in a dark tone.
“You shouldn't have kicked me out” that’s as the last thing Spitfire heard before passing out onto the hard surface .
One month later
The headlines were booming onto various platforms after last months incident, involving the carnage done by a furious teen, 10 students injured , and 3 pronounced dead from the impact of the large pickup truck. The news about this event chilled the spines of many of the onlookers whom were at the scene of the disaster last month, many of the parents and friends of the individuals who didn’t make it were devastated at their loved ones death and thought to themselves “what did they do to deserve that?” This incident continued to blow up on social media as various news letters and online influencers continued to talk about what went down from last months would have been game.
After said incident, the shadowbolts decided to forfeit the would have been match which caused Canterlot high to win by default and to finally move on to the nationals. But given what just went down, a few of the surviving athletes weren’t in the best spirit to play volleyball for a while , especially with their injuries they’d sustained from the impact. Spitfire felt the worst of them all, as she began to wonder if the incident was her fault as she sorely looked down at the two stumps where her legs used to be, as it turns out, the team captain sustained the worst injuries during the impact, while her other surviving teammates were to be alright and only needed to be in various cast for a few weeks until they were ready to get back onto the court. The fiery teen wasn’t so lucky.
As it turned out, her legs were practically crushed after getting ran over by the pickup truck and they were beyond saving, not even the Rainbooms magic was enough to heal them, so they had no choice but to amputate. Spitfire sulked quietly in a corner of her room sitting on her wheelchair as she collected her thoughts. With the fact that she’ll never be able to walk again or to compete in the nationals devastated the teen to the core, but she also questioned herself on whether or not it was her fault for being too hard on the perpetrator behind the gym attack. Speaking of the perpetrator, the bright ember haired girl was soon arrested and brought to court, where she was immediately found guilty for wreckless driving, property damage, assault, and third degree murder, she didn’t even bother to put up a fight as she was dragged away with her parents sobbing uncontrollably at the fact that they won’t see their daughter again for a long while.
As spitfire continued to look down at her stumps, the depressed teen looked back at the day of her former friends court hearing, remembering the sick twisted smile that was written all over the girls face as she was being testified and interrogated. But the one thing that she’ll never forget, was the last words that escaped the girls mouth as she was being escorted out of the courtroom in handcuffs……………………
“It wasn't my fault………………………..”

…………………………………………….RAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hehe sorry did I scare you? This just goes to show, ya never know how far a persons ego can push em, it can cause em to want attention so bad that they’d do anything for it, even if it mean taking such drastic measures to ensure that they’re the center of attention, and no one else, or they can simply learn to control it as to not cause any trouble, but this is easier said than done as an ego isn’t as easy to contain especially with the size of it, emotions, it’s can vary from many shapes and sizes, but ya never know which one will most likely lead to your downfall if ya let any one of em get the better of you
