I looked over the portal once more as I sighed looking back to my friend who was shaking his head.

"I am telling you, Jason. There is no need to go to the My Little Pony show you watch." He said.

"Dude this is a one-in-a-lifetime opportunity I can't pass this up." I countered

"I just don't understand...Why go to the pony world now? When you have discovered something NO ONE ELSE HAS! So what you are just going to gate-keep this knowledge of traveling to fictional worlds for yourself or something?"

"It's just that in-"

"No excuses man! You could start or company or hell sell this to the government and be well off for the rest of your life! They would make history books about you! Don't you see the potential you have with this?" I scratched my chin as I thought about his words. I snapped my finger and I looked back at him.

"You're right..."

That conversation happened about 30 years ago. I am an old man now. The world has changed so much, thanks to my findings. For better or for worse, is pretty debatable in this day and age. And while I obtained the money and fame that anyone would want to obtain...There was one last thing I needed to do. I looked at the Sunset from my penthouse one last time smiling as I pulled out a device from my pocket and summoned a portal.

"One last...Thing." I told myself as I picked up a bottle of whiskey and poured myself a cup. I swirled it around before looking back at the portal.

"Well...Here goes nothing." I downed the drink as I stepped through the portal as it closed behind me.
