Darkness Fell. . . (REMASTERED)

Bon Bon ran, and ran, and ran, realizing all too late that she’d lost both herself and Trixie. She felt something grab her left leg, looking down just in time to see a small, thin tendril of corruption wrap itself around. She screamed, frantically pulling her leg away and freeing herself, only to fall backwards and land on her back in even more corruption. She scrambled to her feet, not caring about the fact she was now covered in it, just choosing a direction and running in it. It wasn’t long before she started feeling its effects, bolts of lightning arcing up and down her spine, followed by the building around her starting to blur and spin, like she’d just gotten off an intense amusement park ride.

“Join us, Bon Bon.” The voice of Silver Spoon said.

“It feels great!” Cherilee’s voice said. “Join the DARKNESS.”

More and more voices started to fill her head, some familiar, some not. They all had one thing in common however, and that was their constant praise of the darkness, all of them begging her to join them. She’d be eternally happy they said, freed from her mortal shackles and able to live in paradise.

”That doesn’t sound too bad.” Bon Bon thought to herself, feeling her consciousness slip away from her as it felt like she was being ripped out of her own body, the voices telling her to join them forming a haunting lullaby. Unable to carry on any longer, Bon Bon collapsed, her body slowly melting into oblivion in the corruption covered floor below her.

Bon Bon collapsed, her body falling towards the floor below her. But something caught her, someone.

“Woah there!” A voice called out, followed by a light blue arm catching Bon Bon before she hit the floor, the textbooks she’d been carrying spilling out of her arms onto the floor below.

“H- huh?” Bon Bon said, before bringing her head up to see her savior. “Lyra?” She questioned with tired eyes.

“Of course it’s me silly!” Her friend reassured her. “Are you okay? You look like you just passed out on me!” She said, slowly raising her to her feet.

Bon Bon blinked a few times once she had her footing again, feeling like someone has just hit her with a semi-truck. “Y-yeah, I’m fine. Where are we?” She asked.

“What do you mean where are we?” Lyra asked back. “We’re at school, dummy!” She exclaimed. “Did you sleep at all last night? I mean, I wouldn’t blame you if you didn’t, I was up late too studying for todays midterms!”

“Midterms?” Bon Bon asked again, before the realization dawned on her along with the ringing of the late bell. “Midterms!” She exclaimed. “We gotta go! Just help me get my books!”
