A dragon with an interesting friendship

I was sitting on my couch bingeing the hobbit trilogy, I had just gotten to the part when Thorin tried to drown Smoug in molten gold. When a strange idea came to mind, smoug should be more impressive. Don’t get me wrong, the portrayal in the film was great. But I feel it wasn’t as impressive as Smoug, the last drake and embodiment of fire. I feel as if he should have been three times bigger, to dwarf all that could be compared to him to show his might. As well as being way tougher, so that his scales no matter the weapon could truly not be pierced by any weapon.
Especially not some makeshift ballista that could not have had enough draw force to pierce his hide. As these thoughts bounce back and forth through my mind I slowly drift into a deep slumber.
I awake groggily, like I woke up after a very deep sleep. I raise my head off something that feels like a bean bag but also isn’t, as I raise my head I feel something of as if my neck is somehow longer than it used to be. As I slowly open my eyes I instantly notice something severely wrong, I am not on my couch or bed. I am lying on top of a mountain of glimmering gold and as I slowly look around I see giant carved greenish black pillars, along with carved walls and ceilings of the same stone.
My mind blanks then instantly goes to the only place I know of that looks like this, Erebor, The lonely mountain. I can think of no other place that can look like this and with that realisation I slowly look down, my normal human body does not great me but the slightly glowing and red scaled chest of one of the most well known dragons in fiction. Smoug.
With that realisation I can only draw one conclusion, I am Smoug. With this thought I try to stand, it comes eerily naturally to stand on all fours with my wings/arms supporting my front. I try to speak but what comes out is not my own voice but a scarily deep voice that comes out as a rumble, Hello. I stop then instantly continue by saying one of my favourite lines in cinema, I am death I am fire.
I give a light chuckle at my immediate reaction to this situation that makes a few coins slide down the mountain of treasures. As I take a moment to collect my self, I think in my mind that this must be a wired but interesting dream. So with thought in mind I take a moment to look over my dream body, all looks the same as in the movie except I seem to be much bigger then regular Smoug. By about three times if my observations are correct, I find this odd but no odder then the situation that I am currently in.
With no other real options I decide to go to sleep to wake up back in the real world, so I Leigh back down on, technically my, pile of treasure. The instinct to burrow into the, my hoard, comes naturally so I decide to trust it. Once I’m done burrowing into the gold that for cold metal is surprisingly comfortable, I give one huff through my nostrils to clear the coins from them
And drift to sleep.
Unknown to our human turned drake, a forest springs up and slowly envelops the mountain leaving it not a short but not a long walk from the edge of the forest that will be known in the future as the everfree forest. While he sleeps through the millennium various races and countries rise. But the only one to lay claim to his mountain, it is a little known empire run by two sisters called Equestria and this fact leading to one of the most surprising friendships known to pony kind that will change many events that may come in the future and to the fate of Equestria in many cases
Until next time dear reader, it has been my pleasure.
