The wedding and the life that comes after the wedding
The grand ballroom of the School of Friendship was filled with excitement, every inch of the room meticulously decorated with ribbons, flowers, and banners that reflected the unique styles of the three ponies being celebrated. Starlight Glimmer, Sunburst, and Trixie Lulamoon, the three ponies who had led the school with unwavering dedication, were now standing at the altar, ready to begin a new chapter of their lives—together.
Headmare Starlight Glimmer stood tall in a flowing lavender gown, her mane styled into elegant waves. Next to her, Sunburst, the school’s vice headstallion, looked dapper in a simple yet smart suit, his signature cape complementing his look. And then there was Trixie, the school’s guidance counselor and showpony extraordinaire, who wore a star-studded white dress that sparkled as she stood with her partners, a humble smile on her usually proud face.
The ballroom was filled with their closest friends and family. Fluttershy, her belly visibly round with pregnancy, sat next to Discord, who couldn’t stop fussing over her comfort. Pinkie Pie sat beside Cheese Sandwich, giggling about something he whispered in her ear, while Applejack and Rainbow Dash sat side by side, sharing a few tender glances.
But it wasn’t just the Mane Six that made this day special. In the back of the room, the Student Six sat together, smiling widely as they watched their mentors. Gallus nudged Sandbar, who grinned sheepishly, while Ocellus and Smolder exchanged excited whispers. Yona sat next to Silverstream, who was practically bouncing in her seat from all the excitement.
Counselor Trixie cleared her throat as if preparing to deliver a grand speech, but instead, she smiled and said, “The Great and Powerful Trixie—along with her lovely partners—thanks you all for being here. But don’t expect a performance—today, it’s all about us.”
The crowd chuckled warmly, and Sunburst smiled softly at Trixie, his heart full of love and admiration for both her and Starlight.
It was Twilight Sparkle, attending as a guest rather than an officiant, who raised her voice to start the ceremony. "We're here today to celebrate something truly magical. Not just the union of two ponies, but three—three dear friends who have always been there for one another."
Twilight’s voice carried through the room, reminding everyone just how much these three had grown together over the years. Starlight smiled, her gaze flicking toward Trixie, then to Sunburst. They had shared so much, from adventures to emotional growth, and now, this moment was a culmination of their journey.
Sunburst was the first to speak his vows. His voice trembled slightly as he turned to Starlight. “Starlight, you’ve always been my guiding light. From our time as foals to everything we've built together here, you’ve shown me the true meaning of partnership and love. I vow to always support you, to never let my own doubts get in the way of our future.”
He then turned to Trixie, his eyes softening even further. “And Trixie, you bring a spark of joy into every moment. I’ve learned so much from you about living boldly, and I promise to keep learning and laughing by your side, always.”
Starlight blushed as tears welled in her eyes. She took a breath and spoke her vows, her voice steady. “Sunburst, you’ve always believed in me, even when I doubted myself. I promise to cherish you, to never forget how much we’ve grown together. You’ve made me a better pony, and I will love you always.”
Turning to Trixie, she smiled warmly. “Trixie, you’ve brought so much magic into my life, in more ways than one. I vow to keep that magic alive, to never stop being amazed by you, and to love you with all my heart.”
Trixie, true to her style, offered a wink to the audience before her voice softened as she addressed her partners. “Trixie may be Great and Powerful, but it’s because of you two that I feel truly great. You’ve always seen the best in me, even when I didn’t. I vow to love you both with all the grandness and drama I can muster—and that’s a lot.”
Twilight smiled, her voice taking on an official tone as she said, “Now, it’s time to seal these vows.”
Sunburst stepped forward, his hoof trembling slightly as he gently lifted Starlight’s chin. Their eyes met, and the room seemed to hold its breath as they leaned in for their first kiss. It was sweet and tender, filled with the history they shared. As their lips met, the crowd erupted into applause.
Next, Sunburst turned to Trixie. His kiss with her was filled with warmth and joy, a contrast to the soft tenderness he’d shared with Starlight. Trixie leaned into the kiss, her usual bravado giving way to the genuine love she felt for him. More cheers followed, this time with a few whistles from Rainbow Dash.
And finally, it was Starlight and Trixie’s turn. Their eyes locked, and they smiled at each other, sharing a quiet understanding of everything they had been through. When they kissed, it was a perfect balance of passion and affection, the crowd roaring with cheers as they finally pulled away, flushed and beaming.
The reception that followed was filled with joy and laughter. Pinkie Pie and Cheese Sandwich took turns setting off confetti cannons, much to Trixie’s delight, while Rainbow Dash challenged Gallus and Smolder to a flying contest. Sandbar danced with Yona, the two of them nearly knocking over several decorations as they spun across the floor.
Fluttershy and Discord sat quietly off to the side, Fluttershy resting a hoof on her pregnant belly, while Discord proudly handed out small plates of chocolate-dipped strawberries to anypony passing by.
As the evening drew to a close, Starlight, Sunburst, and Trixie stood together, watching their friends dance and laugh. They leaned into one another, content in the knowledge that this was only the beginning of their story together.
Years passed, and the School of Friendship thrived under the guidance of Starlight, Sunburst, and Trixie. But the greatest growth wasn’t in the school—it was in their family.
Starlight and Sunburst’s daughter, Luster Dawn, was a bright young filly with her mother’s magical prowess and her father’s love for knowledge. Always eager to learn, Luster spent much of her time in the school’s library, but she had a mischievous streak that kept her family on their hooves.
Trixie and Sunburst had a colt named Starstreak, a pony who had inherited both Trixie’s flair for the dramatic and Sunburst’s intelligence. Starstreak loved to perform magic tricks, often dazzling (or sometimes confusing) his classmates with his shows.
Finally, through magic, Starlight and Trixie had a daughter together—a filly named Moonlit Glimmer. She was a blend of her two mothers, confident like Trixie, but thoughtful like Starlight. Moonlit had an affinity for magic that rivaled even her parents’, and she often roped her siblings into her wild experiments.
The three foals grew up in a household filled with love, adventure, and of course, a little chaos. Their parents balanced the challenges of running the School of Friendship with raising a family, but no matter how busy life became, they always made time for one another.
As the years went on, Starlight, Sunburst, and Trixie watched their children grow with pride, knowing that the love they shared would carry on through them—forever a part of the magical bond they had created.
