Twintwined in Twincest and Twinbreeding Part Two
Prologue
Load Full StoryNext ChapterDappled sunshine draped the wedding entourage at the edge of the Apple's property. The crowd settled in their seats and waited for the ceremony to begin. There came a flourish of lovely violin from Octavia Melody who was working pro bono for the financially insecure Barrel family. The townsponies had come together to make the celebration of love as beautiful as it could be considering their situation. It had been a rough transition but they'd found a much more accepting community in Ponyville for the Barrel Twins unusual relationship that was about to become legally binding.
Pumpkin Cake sat in an aisle seat atop her father's lap. She had a bow in her mane and sparkles in her eyes as she watched the flower filly go by, tossing petals in the air and leaving a pink and red speckled trail behind her. Pumpkin's twin brother, Pound Cake sat beside her, squirming in his own seat next to his mother. Right in front of him was another foal, Princess Flurry Heart in her own seat flanked by Shining Armor and her Aunt Twilight. They were in the front row. Their mission was to keep the precocious filly from wandering off and causing mayhem as she was wont to do. If things went south, her father was prepared to make a quick exit with her. Flurry's mother was very busy. She stood patiently at the altar with the groom as the young filly bride floated gracefully up the aisle.
Pumpkin watched the bride’s train scroll by, rustling the petals as it went. Unaware of the event unfolding before them, Flurry reared up on the backrest of her seat and peered back at the tan pegasus colt sitting behind her.
“Hi,” she greeted with a broad smile. She waved to him with one hoof.
Pound blinked in surprise. He looked at her, then he looked at his mother with uncertainty
“Hi,” whispered Mrs. Cake, waving back.
“Hi,” he replied cautiously.
Flurry continued to stare him down with intense interest. It was the first wedding any of the toddlers had ever attended and sitting still was difficult.
“Who are you?”
“Pound Cake.”
“Pound Cake,” she giggled.
Pound stood up in his seat and fluttered his wings to stretch.
Flurry pointed at him. “Pegasus.”
He looked her over curiously. She had wings too but she also had a horn like his twin sister. She was just like the princesses.
“Did you make a friend?” Twilight asked her niece excitedly.
‘Yeah,” she replied rather loudly.
Her father shushed her quickly and patted her on the head but did nothing to make her spin around and sit proper, figuring that the longer she was distracted the better.
Flurry turned her head to look at the front while staying on her hind legs. Her eyes bounced between her mom and the bride and groom who both looked nervous but gazed lovingly at one another. Flurry didn't quite understand all of what this event meant but she knew that these two foals liked each other and wanted to be together.
“Daddy, look.” She pointed at Pound.
Shining cast a glance over his shoulder. “I see. Is that your new friend?”
“Yeah.”
“What's your name?”
Flurry turned back around to see Pound holding out a half of a granola bar on his hoof. He was already chewing the other half.
“Flurry Heart,” she replied. She levitated the offering from his hoof and straight into her mouth.
“Can you say ‘thank you?’” asked Shining, watching her out of the corner of his eye.
“Thank you,” she sputtered, spitting crumbs.
Pumpkin Cake was half watching them and half collecting discarded flower petals from the aisle with her magic. She accumulated them one by one, piling them on her lap.
Flurry looked back at her mom who was still in the middle of talking a lot. She wanted to show her next. Suddenly Flurry and Pound disappeared in a flash of magic and reappeared in front of the bride and groom at the moment's focal point.
“Mommy, look,” she commanded.
Cadance, Pickle and Barley looked down at them in surprise. Flurry put a foreleg over Pound's withers as if to help call attention to him.
“Oh, honey this is not a double wedding,” quipped her mother. “And I haven’t even met the lucky colt yet. Show me later though. Can you go sit down with daddy and auntie.” Her eyes flicked over to her frustrated and embarrassed husband.
The audience laughed at the cute interruption.
Shining didn't wait for his daughter to comply, he teleported both foals back to the seating area. He floated Flurry back into her chair.
“Flurry, you need to stay with us or we're going to have to leave,” he murmured quietly.
Twilight floated Pound back into the second row, passing him to his mother.
Shining looked back. “Sorry about that,” he whispered. “We’re still working on getting her to not do that.”
Cup Cake chuckled dismissively at the amusing little anomaly. “They're so cute together though.”
Flurry turned back around and reared up on the back rest again to unabashedly watch Pound. He smiled at her.
Suddenly a small explosion of petals appeared above them with a fizzle of pumkin’s magic. The colorful confetti rained down upon the two foals. Pumpkin giggled at her work and clapped her hooves in celebration. “Yay!”
After the bride and groom kissed and the onlookers responded in cacophonous celebration, the ceremony was over. However the Cakes and Crystal Empire royals found themselves obliged to sit together at the reception at the behest of their newly acquainted foals.
Flurry and Pound sat next to each other at the table eating wedding cake and getting frosting on their faces.
“She's so advanced for a little magic user,“ said Cup Cake.
“Yeah,” sighed Shining. “Unfortunately there are no guidebooks for baby alicorns so we just read up on all three types and we're still scrambling.”
“Did you make this cake?” asked Twilight, floating her fork in the air.”
“Yes we did,” answered Carrot. “I have to say we don't get to make many chocolate wedding cakes.”
“Kids getting married,” she mused. “Go figure. But everyone likes chocolate so why complain? It feels like adult ponies will always go with aesthetic over actual taste when it comes to weddings. This feels more-”
She trailed off as a black lacy band plopped right on Pound's empty plate from out of the sky.
Twilight looked over at the garter toss where Pickle Barrel shrugged apologetically.
“I guess he threw it a little too hard,” laughed Twilight.
“Pound caught the garter,” chuckled Cup Cake. “You know what that means.”
“A really long drought for those sad bachelors,” quipped Shining over his champagne glass.
“Here.” said Pound, passing the risque looking article to Flurry with his wingtip.
“It's beautiful,” gasped Flurry, grabbing it with her magic. She placed it on her head and smiled.
Every adult at the table burst into laughter.
“She thinks it's a scrunchie,” explained Cadance.
