//-------------------------------------------------------// Young Six’s Journey: Adventure in the Kanto Region -by Fusionflare374- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// The Pewter City Showdown //-------------------------------------------------------// The Pewter City Showdown The next morning, The Young Six slowly awoke, the air filled with the scent of fresh food. Gallus, smelling breakfast, was the first to wake, rubbing his eyes tiredly. “What’s that smell? It smells pretty good,” Gallus said, sniffing the air. “Oh, good morning, Gallus! You’re just in time— I’m making breakfast!” Silverstream exclaimed excitedly. “You… making breakfast? Since when did you start cooking?” “Just this morning!” Gallus facepalmed, sighing. “Looks like I’ve lost my appetite.” “Oh, come on, Gallus, it can’t be that hard,” Silverstream said, just as the food caught on fire. She squealed, “Eek!” “And I’m making something too!” Sandbar said, placing a bowl of salad on the table. “This will be for Yona and me.” Shortly after, the rest of the group began waking up, stretching their limbs. The Young Six sat around the table as Silverstream served plates of fish for Smolder, Gallus, Ocellus and herself, while Sandbar passed a bowl of salad to Yona. As they and their Pokémon ate, they soon felt stuffed. “I will say, the fish was kinda good,” Gallus admitted, crossing his arms with a small smirk. “I’m glad you liked it!” Silverstream said, smiling happily. Smolder finished her meal and spoke up. “So, do you think we’re ready for this gym?” “Are you kidding? Growlithe and I will crush that gym, right Growlithe?” Gallus said, petting his Growlithe, which barked in agreement. “Well, I say we go for it too!” Smolder said, and the rest nodded. With their plan set in motion, the group packed their things and trekked along the path. The Young Six arrived at Pewter City as the afternoon sun hung high in the sky. The city bustled with trainers and Pokémon alike, but their focus was clear: the Pewter City Gym. Standing tall in the middle of town, the stone building exuded strength and challenge. Inside, they were greeted by Brock, the Pewter City Gym Leader. His calm demeanor and sharp gaze immediately gave off the impression of a seasoned trainer. He crossed his arms, addressing the group. “Welcome to the Pewter City Gym,” Brock said. “I see we have quite the group here. Are you all challenging me?” Yona stomped a hoof. “Yona ready! Yona and Bulbasaur will crush rock Pokémon!” Smolder smirked. “Don’t get cocky. Charmolder and I will show you how it’s done.” Sandbar stepped forward with a grin. “And don’t forget about us. Ghastbar and I have this in the bag.” Brock nodded. “I like your spirit. Let’s make this interesting—team battles. Two trainers per team. You may use all your Pokémon if you wish. You’ll face me and my team of Geodude and Onix.” The Young Six exchanged excited glances before organizing themselves into pairs. Yona teamed up with Gallus, Smolder with Silverstream, and Sandbar with Ocellus. Yona and Gallus stepped onto the battlefield first, their Pokémon—Bulbasaur and Growlithe—at the ready. Brock smiled as he tossed out his first Pokéball. “Geodude, you’re up!” Brock called, the rock-like Pokémon appeared with a confident grunt. “What’s that Pokémon?” Ocellus asked curiously, pointing her Pokédex at it. Geodude, the rock Pokémon. Found in fields and mountains. Mistaking them for boulders, people often step or trip on them. The battle began as Gallus took the lead. “Growlithe, use Ember!” The small flames hit Geodude, but the attack barely made a dent. Geodude retaliated with Tackle, hurling itself at Growlithe and sending the Fire-type sprawling. Yona growled, stomping a hoof. “Bulbasaur, use Vine Whip!” Bulbasaur lashed out with its vines, striking Geodude hard. The attack was super effective, and after a few more strikes, Geodude fainted. “Not bad,” Brock said, smirking. “But let’s see how you handle this. Go Onix!” Brock’s second Pokémon, the massive rock snake Onix towered over the battlefield, roaring as it entered. “W-woah… what is that?” Sandbar said, pointing the Pokédex. Onix, the rock snake Pokémon. As it grows, the stone portions of its body harden to become similar to a diamond, but colored black. Gallus hesitated, looking up at Onix. “Uh, Growlithe, try another Ember!” The flames barely fazed Onix, which retaliated with a powerful Tackle, sending Growlithe flying into a wall. “Growlithe!” Gallus cried as his Pokémon fainted. Yona clenched her jaw. “Yona not giving up! Bulbasaur, Vine Whip Onix!” Bulbasaur struck Onix, but the towering Pokémon withstood the blow and countered with Bind, trapping Bulbasaur in its rocky coils. “Ready to admit defeat?” Brock asked, smirking. “No! Yona not giving up on Bulbasaur! Yona believe in Bulbasaur!” Yona shouted, stomping her hoof. Hearing her words, Bulbasaur struggled against the Bind, its bulb glowing brightly. Using its strengthened vines, it struck Onix repeatedly, forcing it to release Bulbasaur. “That was Growth!” Brock explained. “Your belief in Bulbasaur helped it learn a new move.” “Bulbasaur learned a new move? Awesome! Bulbasaur, use growth again!” Yona commanded. Bulbasaur’s bulb glowed once again, boosting its powers. With one final Vine Whip, Onix roared in pain before collapsing to the ground, unable to battle. Brock nodded as he recalled his Pokémon. “Good work. You two make quite a team.” Smolder and Silverstream stepped forward, their Pokémon—Charmander and Squirtle—facing Brock’s Geodude. “Charmander, use Ember!” Smolder commanded. The flames hit Geodude but weren’t very effective. “Squirtle, Water Gun!” Silverstream cheered. The powerful jet of water hit Geodude directly, and it fainted. Silverstream pumped her fist. “Yes! We got one!” But Brock wasn’t fazed. “Good work, but let’s see how you handle Onix. Go!” Onix roared onto the field, its massive form looming over Squirtle and Charmander. “Squirtle, Water Gun again!” Silverstream shouted. The water hit Onix, but it wasn’t enough to bring it down. Onix retaliated with a Tackle, swinging its tail at Squirtle, making impact, but recovered quickly. Smolder growled. “Charmander, use Scratch!” Charmander leaped at Onix, clawing at its rocky exterior, but the attack barely scratched it. Onix responded with Bind, trapping Charmander and knocking it out. Smolder growled, grabbing her Pokéball. “Spikoran, let’s go!” Smolder through her Pokéball, her Nidoran appeared on the battlefield, readying itself. “A Nidoran? Well, let’s see what you got! Onix, Tackle!” Onix charged at the two Pokémon, but dodged quickly. “Spikoran, Poison Sting!” Smolder commanded. A purple need struck Onix, but it looked at it unfazed. “Onix, use Bide!” Brock commanded, a red aura surrounding Onix. “Quickly, before it attacks!” Smolder exclaimed, as Silverstream nodded. “Use Poison Sting!” “Use water gun!” Silverstream commanded Squirtle. The purple needle and a jet of water struck Onix, but it didn’t flinch. Suddenly, Onix opened its mouth, shooting a white beam towards the two Pokémon, impacting them in a big cloud of smoke. Smolder and Silverstream eyes widened, waiting for the smoke to settle. Once the smoke cleared, Nidoran was unable to battle, however, Squirtle shielded itself with its shell, popping right back out. “Squirtle, are you able to go on?” “Squirtle!” It said, nodding at Silverstream. “Great! Now, jump at Onix and hit it with your shell!” Silverstream commanded, seeing Squirtle jump high in the air, using its shell to hit Onix, knocking it back slightly. “Now, Water Gun!” Squirtle shot out a jet of water at the Onix, making it roar in pain as it fell to the ground, unable to battle. “Squirtle, you did it!” Silverstream cheered excitedly, hugging Squirtle. Brock smiled. “Most impressive, I see great things from you two.” The final team stepped forward. Sandbar’s Gastly floated ominously, while Ocellus’s Caterpie crawled determinedly onto the field. “You ready for this, Ocellus?” Sandbar asked. Ocellus nodded. “Let’s do our best!” Brock started with Geodude again. Sandbar took the lead. “Ghastbar, use Lick!” Gastly’s ghostly tongue struck Geodude, paralyzing it. Ocellus followed up. “Silky Snap, String Shot!” The sticky threads wrapped around Geodude, slowing it down. But Geodude fought back with a Tackle, knocking Caterpie out instantly. Ocellus gasped. “Silky Snap!” “Don’t worry, we’ve got this!” Sandbar said. “Ghastbar, Hypnosis!” Gastly put Geodude to sleep, giving Sandbar time to finish it off with Lick. But then came Onix. Brock didn’t waste time. “Onix, Rock Throw!” The rocks struck Gastly, who couldn’t dodge in time. Sandbar watched in dismay as his Gastly fainted, leaving him with two Pokémon. “Alright… let’s go Featherbar!” Sandbar shouted, summoning his Pidgey to the battlefield. “A Pidgey? Looks like you need to study Pokémon typing. Onix, knock that Pidgey out of the air!” Onix roared, swinging its massive rock tail at Pidgey. Although being agile, Pidgey wasn’t quick enough to dodge, causing it to faint. Sandbar looked at his Pidgey in dismay, looking at his last Pokéball, sighing in defeat. “I only have a Caterpie left… and seeing what that Geodude did with Silky Snap… I’m going to have to forfeit.” Brock nodded in understanding. “It’s probably for the best, but you two did quite well.” After the battles, Brock addressed the Young Six. “You all did well. Even though some of you lost, I see potential in all of you. For Yona and Silverstream’s victories, I award the Boulder Badge.” He handed the badges to Yona and Silverstream. Gallus crossed his arms, grumbling. “That’s not fair. It was a team battle!” Brock shook his head. “Gym rules are strict. To earn a badge, all of a trainer’s Pokémon must still be standing. But you can train here as long as you’d like.” “So… what should Yona and I do then?” Silverstream asked curiously. “Yeah, what Yona and Silverstream do now?” Yona asked, stomping her hoof. “You two can head to the next gym. Head to Cerulean City, there you will face Misty, or at least her sisters.” Brock said to the two. “Us two, alone? But this was supposed to be a group adventure.” Silverstream said, looking at her friends. Yona and Silverstream looked at their badges, unsure about continuing without their friends. “Don’t worry, we’ll catch up with you,” Sandbar assured them. “We’ll train hard and beat Brock this time.” “Well… alright, Yona and I will wait for you guys at the Cerulean gym,” Silverstream said, looking at Yona. “Come on Yona, let’s get to Cerulean City.” Yona nodded, as the two waved goodbye to their friends. And so, Yona and Silverstream left the Gym, their spirts high, despite having to leave their friends behind for now. The two venture on, not knowing what will come next. As the journey continues… //-------------------------------------------------------// A New Kind of Friendship //-------------------------------------------------------// A New Kind of Friendship It was a bright and sunny day in Equestria. The School of Friendship, nestled in the heart of Ponyville, was bursting with excitement. Twilight Sparkle, now the ruler of Equestria, had arranged a special event that students had been talking about for weeks. Today, a renowned professor from across the world was coming to give a lecture on something none of them had ever learnt before: Pokémon. The Young Six—Gallus, Smolder, Sandbar, Yona, Ocellus, and Silverstream—gathered with their fellow students in the main hall, whispering to each other about what the lecture might be about. Gallus, always the skeptic, was more interested in the professor’s reputation than the subject matter. “Are we sure this is going to be interesting?” Gallus asked, lounging lazily in his seat. “I mean, what’s so special about ‘Pokémon,’ anyway?” “How can you say that?” Silverstream squeaked, bouncing in her seat. “It’s a whole new world for us, with creatures we’ve never seen before! This is going to be AMAZING!” Smolder shrugged, leaning back with her arms crossed. “If these ‘Pokémon’ can breathe fire, then yeah, maybe I’ll pay attention.” Just as their chatter was heating up, the doors to the main hall opened. Princess Twilight Sparkle entered, followed by a tall figure wearing a white lab coat. It was Professor Oak, one of the most celebrated Pokémon Professors from a different part of the world of humans and Pokémon alike, where ponies haven’t been before. Twilight cleared her throat, catching the attention of the excited students. “Good morning, everycreature! Today, we have a very special guest from a different part of the world—Professor Samuel Oak, who has come to teach us all about the fascinating creatures known as Pokémon!” The hall erupted in applause as Professor Oak stepped forward, smiling warmly. “Thank you, Princess Twilight,” he began, adjusting his reading glasses. “I’m honored to be here in your little town of Ponyville, and I can’t wait to introduce you to the world of Pokémon. You may have seen Pokémon here or there in Equestria, but they reside more in different regions of the world. Pokémon are creatures of all shapes and sizes, and they live in harmony with humans. Some are powerful, others are gentle, and many of them can form deep bonds of friendship with us—just as you ponies do here.” He gestured to a screen behind him, and a series of images appeared, showing various Pokémon in different habitats. From Pikachu to Charizard, and even some of the legendary Pokémon like Zapdos and Moltres, the students were in awe. Silverstream gasped in delight. “Look at that one! It’s like a giant bird!” Gallus, though trying to remain unimpressed, couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow. “Okay, that one’s kind of cool,” He said, looking at the Zapdos After an informative and lively lecture on Pokémon types, battles, and their abilities, Professor Oak concluded by introducing the concept of Pokémon Trainers—people who form bonds with Pokémon and train them for friendly competition. Just then, the bell rang out and the class was dismissed, waving goodbye to the professor as they walked out the classroom. Twilight looked at professor Oak, smiling to him “Thank you so much for coming all the way here Professor Oak, I hope it wasn’t any trouble getting here.” “Not at all Princess Twilight, I enjoy sharing my knowledge with everyone who is eager to learn, and please, call me Oak.” Twilight nodded and smiled warmly to Professor Oak. “Very well Oak. I know I’ve learnt a lot from your presentation, and I’m sure my students did too.” Professor Oak nodded, looking at Twilight.“Although, I haven’t seen any other creatures who want to be Pokémon trainers… I wonder why?” Twilight looked at Professor Oak. “Well, we are still getting used to the humans who are living among us, and since we haven’t seen Pokémon around here, many ponies might be nervous to explore unknown places, or are scared of how dangerous it could be. I, on the other hand, would love to go and explore these new regions, exploring new Pokémon, study them all day long… but as princess of friendship and the principal of this school, I’m afraid I cannot do all that. My place is here in Ponyville, with my students, and my subjects.” Professor Oak nodded, understanding her importance here. Professor Oak looked out of the doorway, observing the young six. “Hmm, those six there, they seem like an interesting bunch.” Twilight looked out the door way, noticing the young six talking and laughing together. “Oh, you mean Gallus, Ocellus, Sandbar, Smolder, Silverstream and Yona? They are quite the group, no matter what happens to them, they are always up to the challenge, they’re like me and my friends during the time. Why do you ask?” “Just curious is all. Although… I see something in them, potential to grow more stronger together. Tell me Twilight, do you think they would be interested in coming with me back to Kanto?” Twilight gazed at him, her curiosity piqued by his offer. “You really want to take them to the Kanto region with you?” “Of course! This could be a great opportunity for them to experience what a Pokémon trainer can be. They can study as many Pokémon as possible and document their progress. Also, maybe more creatures will be motivated to become Pokémon trainers as well. However, it’s you're decision to make.” Twilight pondered on the thought for a few moments, making her decision. “Very well, I give permission for you to take the six of them back to Kanto with you.” “Excellent! Just the be on the same page, let’s tell them about this opportunity.” Twilight nodded, as they began to make their way to the young six. As the young six were talking among themselves about the lecture, Sandbar turned around, seeing Princess Twilight and the professor. “Oh, hello headmare Twilight, professor Oak, is there something you need?” Twilight nodded, smiling at the group. “Why yes Professor Oak and I have been talking and Professor Oak has invited the six of you to visit the Kanto region! You’ll get to explore the world of Pokémon, learn more about their culture, and even meet some trainers.” Silverstream was the first to explode with excitement. “YES! We get to see Pokémon for real! This is going to be the best adventure ever!” Yona stomped her hooves. “Yona wants to meet strong Pokémon! Yona excited!” Ocellus looked a little nervous but smiled. “It sounds fascinating… I’d love to study how Pokémon and humans coexist.” Smolder simply crossed her arms and smirked. “If I can fight one of those, count me in.” Gallus pretended to be disinterested, but his eyes betrayed his curiosity. “Yeah, sure, why not? Could be cool.” Sandbar, always the calm one, gave a nod. “I’ve always wondered what it would be like to explore the Kanto region. I’m in.” Twilight smiled at them all. “You’ll leave tomorrow. Be sure to pack everything you need, and don’t forget—this is a learning experience, so keep your minds and hearts open. When you return from Kanto, I’ll want to see what you learned and experienced.” The young six nodded, and Twilight dismissed the group. As the Young Six dispersed to prepare for their trip, Gallus turned to Sandbar. “Do you think we’ll get our own Pokémon?” Sandbar shrugged. “I guess we’ll find out soon enough.” And with that, the Young Six’s adventure in the world of Pokémon was about to begin. Author's Note I LIVEEEE! Sorry if I’ve been dead on here, got busy with life, but I decided to try to post more on here hopefully. Anyway, see you all soon hopefully. //-------------------------------------------------------// Welcome to Kanto //-------------------------------------------------------// Welcome to Kanto The next morning, the Young Six gathered at the Friendship Express train station, their bags packed and their hearts racing. Twilight Sparkle, her friends and Professor Oak waited for them, as they waited for the train to arrive. “Alright, everycreature,” Twilight said, “the train will be here any minute now. Remember, you’re representing Equestria and the School of Friendship, so make sure to be on your best behavior,” “We’ll make you proud, Headmare Twilight!” Sandbar said with a grin. “Yeah! And we’ll make lots of new friends too!” Silverstream added, bouncing in place. Twilight smiled warmly at the group, hearing the train’s horn in the distance. The pink engine made its stop at the station, as a conductor pony exited, announcing out loud. “Next stop, Pallet Town in the Kanto region!” The conductor announced. “Well, there’s our stop,” Professor Oak said, heading to the train with his ticket in hand. As the Young Six were about to head to the train, they turned to twilight and her friends. “We will make you proud, Headmare Twilight!” Sandbar repeated excitedly. Twilight nodded, smiling warmly at the group “We already are.” “Catch some awesome Pokémon for us to see! I bet they can’t beat me in a race!” Rainbow Dash said, flying in the air. “And get some that are fabulous and stunning, darlings!” Rarity said, striking a little pose and she talked. “B-be safe out there.” Fluttershy said, being her normal shy self. “Fluttershy’s right sugar cubes, be safe out there, but also a one heck of a time!” Applejack said excitedly to the group. “Ohhhh, I want to go with!” Pinkie pie pouted as she bounced in the air. “But I’ll make a welcome back home with your Pokémon friends party when you get back!” With one last wave goodbye, the Young Six walked into the train. The train started to move, its wheels turning as the train honked its horn. The Young Six looked out the window, waving goodbye one last time, as the Mane 6 came out of view. After several hours of waiting in the train, Smolder and Gallus were tapping on the table, looking bored, as the rest were excitedly talked about what Pokémon they will see. Smolder looked out the window, her eyes widened a bit, seeing many flying type Pokémon in the distance. The rest looked out the window, seeing many different kind of Pokémon, from a large light blue Pokémon, to a white fish like Pokémon with red on its fins and a small horn. The group gasped in awe, taking in the scenery. The train finally stopped, the doors opening up and the group exited the train. The young six looked around, seeing trees surrounding the small town, noticing that they only have three buildings. Professor Oak gestured the group to follow him, entering a building with tan bricks and a green door. He opened the door, entering the building, as the group looked around, seeing the many machinery in the room. “Welcome to my lab, everyone!” Oak said, showing them around his lab. The Young Six looked around, awestruck by their surroundings. Through the large windows, they could see the beautiful town of Pallet spread out below, with green fields stretching out to the horizon. “Whoa… this place is awesome!” Gallus exclaimed, taking in the sights. Professor Oak chuckled. “I’m glad you think so. Now, let’s get you all prepared for your adventure.” He gestured to a table where three Pokéballs were neatly lined up. Each of the Young Six approached, eyes wide with excitement. “These are your very own Pokémon,” Oak explained. “You can choose amongst yourselves to pick your partner!” One by one, they talked amongst themselves for a few moments, until they reached a decision. Yona decided to go first. Yona pressed on the Pokéball, Out of her Pokéball came a small, green, dinosaur-like Pokémon with a large bulb on its back. “Bulbasaur!” it called out, looking up at Yona with big, friendly eyes. “Hey there, Bulbasaur!” Yona knelt down, petting it gently. “Yona think we’re going to get along just fine.” Smolder released a fiery Pokémon with a small, flame-tipped tail and a feisty look in its eyes. “Charmander!” it growled, flames flaring slightly. “Nice,” Smolder smirked, crossing her arms. “We’re going to be unstoppable.” Silverstream’s Pokéball opened to reveal a small, blue turtle Pokémon with a tough-looking shell. “Squirtle!” it said, grinning at Silverstream. Silverstream squealed excitedly, hugging Squirtle. “EHHH! We’re gonna be bests of friends!” Professor Oak beamed at the group. “It looks like you’re all off to a great start with your Pokémon partners.” “Uh, Professor, I don’t want to sound rude or anything, but what about us?” Sandbar asked Professor Oak. “Yeah, where’s my partner!” Gallus said, crossing his talons. Professor Oak looked at the three, before he smacked his head with his palm. “Right, I nearly forgot! My brain keeps going two steps ahead of me sometimes.” Professor Oak cleared his throat. “Traditionally, us professors give out three starters, but for you six, I can make an exception.” Professor Oak opened a drawer at his desk, pulling out three more Pokéballs. “These Pokémon were caught by me back when I was a trainer, but I think it’s time for them to go out and explore with new trainers.” “Professor… you don’t have to give us your Pokemon if you don’t want to.” Ocellus said shyly, feeling a bit guilty. “Nonsense my dear! Besides, they normally help me around the lab, but they are always looking to battle and get stronger, just like all of you” Professor Oak handed a Pokéball to each of Gallus, Sandbar and Ocellus. “I think you will find them to your liking.” Gallus opened the Pokéball, releasing a quadrupedal canine like Pokémon. “Grrr… Growlithe!” Growlithe growled at Gallus. “Ohhh, you’re feisty, I like it.” Gallus said, putting a talon on Growlithe, its tail wagging a bit. Sandbar opened the Pokéball, releasing a Pokémon made of purple gas, sticking its tongue out, spooking Sandbar a bit. “Gastly!” Gastly laughed, circling around Sandbar. “Huh, this one’s pretty cool.” Sandbar said, smiling at Gastly. Ocellus nervously opened up the Pokéball, wondering what Pokémon she received. The Pokéball released a green caterpillar like Pokémon. “Caterpie!” Caterpie shouted, looking up at Ocellus. Awww, hey there little fella.” Ocellus extended out her hoof to the Caterpie, which climbed up her leg and onto her back. “I hope we can be good friends.” “Excellent, now everyone here has their very own Pokémon partner! Now, before i send you off to your adventure, you can give your Pokémon a nickname. It doesn’t have to do with strength or such, but if your Pokémon enjoy the nickname chosen to them, it will increase their bonds with you.” Professor Oak said to the group. “Nickname? Nah, Yona like Bulbasaur.” Yona said, smiling at Bulbasaur. “Hmm… how about, Charmolder?” Smolder said to Charmander, which jumped happily to the nickname. “Charmolder it is then.” “I can’t think of a nickname on the top of my head, so I’ll keep Squirtle’s name the same.” Silverstream said, smiling at Squirtle. “I think I’ll keep Growlithe’s name the same as well, it already sounds cool enough.” Gallus said, petting Growlithe’s head. “Hmm… what about Ghastbar?” Sandbar said to Gastly, to which Gastly just laughed. “Ghastbar it is then.” “Uh… I was maybe thinking of… Silky Snap?” Ocellus said to Caterpie, which smiled at her. “I think they like it.” “Great! I can already feel the bonds forming between all of your Pokémon. Now, your adventure will truly begin.” Professor Oak said to the Group. “So… what can we do on our adventure?” Sandbar asked curiously. “Anything you see fit for everyone, get stronger by challenging trainers, document all sorts of Pokémon, explore the environment around you, or… you can challenge the gym leaders.” “Gym leaders? Who are they?” Gallus said, his curiosity piqued his interest. “Gym leaders specialize in Pokemon typing, one may have grass, the other a ghost type gym. So if you want to challenge the gym leaders, you’ll have to learn about which Pokémon will have the type advantage. The more leaders you face, the stronger they get. There is eight gym leaders to face against, and once you defeat all eight, you can participate in a tournament called the Pokémon League.” “Pokémon League? Do we fight other stronger trainers if we do participate?” Sandbar asked Professor Oak. “Yes, you face against other trainers just like you six, and whoever wins their matches will advance to the next round until it’s only two trainers remaining. If you manage to rein supreme in the tournament, you win title of champion in the Pokémon League, and will receive a trophy .” “A trophy? Title of being a champion? Well sign me up!” Smolder shouted excitedly. “Yeah!” The others shouted in unison. Professor Oak laughed at their enthusiasm. “So determined, I like it, reminds me of a trainer who shared your enthusiasms. Well, if you are wanting to challenge the gyms, you’ll need this,” Professor Oak handed them a map. “This is a Pokémap. This Pokémap shows all of Kanto, showing you where to go. Oh, I nearly forgot, take this as well,” Professor Oak handed them a Pokédex. “This is called a Pokédex, it gives you interesting information on a Pokémon when you point it at them.” “Geez, does everything start with Poké in them?” Smolder snickered a bit. “Yeah… we couldn’t think of any other names,” Professor Oak scratched his head, chucking a bit. “Now, if you are going to challenge the gym leaders, I suggest going to Pewter city, just follow the Pokémap and it’ll lead you straight there, who knows… maybe you’ll find some Pokémon to catch along the way.” Sandbar examined the Pokémap, locating Pewter City. “Got it! Thank you Professor Oak for this opportunity, we won’t let you down.” “I’m sure you won’t Sandbar. There will be many challenges on your journey, but as long as you six stick together, you’ll be just fine. Now go, explore to your heart’s content.” The Young Six waved goodbye to Professor Oak, until he called them out. “Hold on one moment! I forgot to give you this,” Professor Oak handed them some money. “This may not be much, but it will get you six enough to buy Pokéballs. If you beat a trainer in a battle, they give you money as a reward. Make sure you spend it wisely.” “We will Professor, thank you.” Sandbar smiled, as the group left the Professor’s lab. And so, with hearts full of excitement and Pokémon by their sides, the Young Six’s journey had begun, embarking on an experience they had never had before, as the journey continues… //-------------------------------------------------------// First Pokémon Battle //-------------------------------------------------------// First Pokémon Battle The Young Six exited Professor Oak’s lab, as Sandbar adjusted his backpack and grinned. “Okay, team. First Gym Badge is in Pewter City, so let’s keep moving!” Yona nodded, her Bulbasaur marching proudly at her side. “Yona and Bulbasaur ready for anything!” Ocellus looked at the Pokédex, looking at her Caterpie. “Mmm… Professor Oak said that this device can tell us information about Pokémon, maybe we should know about our Pokémon?” “Ohhh! That’s a great idea, Ocellus!” Silverstream said, her enthusiasm contagious. “Oh, oh! Do Bulbasaur!” Yona said excitedly. Ocellus pointed the Pokédex at Yona’s Bulbasaur, displaying an image of it. “Bulbasaur, the seed Pokémon, A strange seed was planted on its back at birth. The plant sprouts and grows with this POKéMON.” A male voice said outside of the device. “Bulbasaur had strange plant since birth? Yona take care of Bulbasaur’s plant!” Yona said, patting the bulb on Bulbasaur’s back. “Do mine next, I’m curious to know Charmolder,” Smolder said, pointing the Pokédex at her Charmander. “Charmander, the Lizard Pokémon, Obviously prefers hot places. When it rains, steam is said to spout from the tip of its tail.” “Huh… neat,” Smolder said, crossing her arms with a smirk. “Me next! Me next!” Silverstream exclaimed, grabbing the Pokédex and pointing it at her Squirtle. ”Squirtle, the tiny turtle Pokémon, After birth, its back swells and hardens into a shell. Powerfully sprays foam from its mouth.” “Ohhhh! Cool!” Silverstream squealed, hugging her Squirtle. “Do my Growlithe next. I’m curious now,” Gallus said, petting his Growlithe as Silverstream pointed the Pokédex at it. ”Growlithe, the puppy Pokémon, Very protective of its territory. It will bark and bite to repel intruders from its space.“ “Huh… very protective. Got it,” Gallus said, scratching Growlithe’s head. “I wonder what it says about Ghastbar.” Sandbar said, pointing the Pokédex at his Gastly. “Gastly, the Gas Pokémon, Almost invisible, this gaseous POKéMON cloaks the target and puts it to sleep without notice.“ “Almost invisible huh? Sweet,” Sandbar said, nodding to his Gastly. Finally, out of curiosity, Ocellus pointed the Pokédex at her Caterpie. “Caterpie, the worm Pokémon, Its short feet are tipped with suction pads that enable it to tirelessly climb slopes and walls.” “Huh… it’s kinda what we can do, but we stick to walls.” Ocellus said with a shy smile at her Caterpie. After the group got to know more about their new friends, they were ready to officially begin their journey. Just as the group was leaving the outskirts of Pallet Town, they noticed someone standing in the middle of the road. He looked like an experienced trainer—muscular, wearing a blue tank top, with a confident smirk. A pendant hung from his neck, glinting in the sunlight. He raised a hand in greeting. “Hey there,” the trainer called, his voice cool but friendly. “You must be new trainers. Name’s Ace and this is my partner Eevee. “Eevee!” Eevee said excitedly. “An… Eevee?” Ocellus said curiously, pointing the Pokédex at the Eevee. “Eevee, the Evolution Pokémon, Its genetic code is irregular. It may mutate if it is exposed to radiation from element STONEs.” “I’m a battle trainer that moved from the Orre Region, and I couldn’t help but notice you’ve got quite the group.” The Young Six exchanged curious looks. Smolder crossed her arms and smirked. “Yeah, and what’s it to you?” Ace chuckled, crossing his arms as well. “Relax, I’m not here to start trouble. I just think it’d be fun to test your skills. How about a friendly Pokémon battle? I’ll even let you choose who wants to challenge me.” Silverstream clapped her hands excitedly. “A battle? That sounds like so much fun!” Gallus stepped forward, Growlithe at his side. “I’ll take you on. Growlithe and I are ready for whatever you’ve got.” Ace raised an eyebrow, impressed by Gallus’s confidence. “Alright, then. I’ll use my Eevee. Let’s see what you’re made of.” Ace’s Eevee jumped off Ace’s shoulder. It barked playfully, its ears twitching. “Eevee!” it cried, hopping into a battle stance. Gallus smirked, pointing toward the Eevee. “Growlithe, let’s show them what we’ve got! Use Ember!” Growlithe inhaled deeply before releasing a burst of tiny flames toward Eevee. The flames scattered across the ground, forcing Eevee to dodge skillfully. “Eevee, use Quick Attack!” Ace commanded. Eevee darted forward at lightning speed, slamming into Growlithe before it could react. Growlithe stumbled but quickly recovered, growling in determination. “Don’t let it push you around, Growlithe! Use Tackle!” Gallus called. Growlithe lunged at Eevee, its body impacting into Eevee’s body. Eevee yelped but quickly recovered. Ace grinned. “Not bad, but let’s turn up the heat. Eevee, use Swift!” Eevee leaped into the air, releasing a barrage of glowing stars that struck Growlithe with pinpoint accuracy. Growlithe staggered, panting heavily but still standing. Gallus clenched his fists. “Come on, Growlithe, we can do this! Use Ember again, and aim high!” Growlithe barked in agreement, firing another burst of flames. This time, the Ember hit its mark, scorching Eevee slightly. The small Pokémon winced but shook it off, glaring at Growlithe with determination. “Eevee, finish this with Tackle!” Ace commanded. Eevee charged forward, slamming into Growlithe with all its strength. Growlithe let out a soft whine before collapsing to the ground, defeated. Gallus sighed and returned his Growlithe to its Pokéball. “You did great, buddy. We’ll get them next time.” Ace walked over, extending a hand to Gallus. “That was a good fight. You’ve got potential, but you’ll need to train harder if you want to take on the Gyms. Eevee and I have been at this for a while, so don’t feel bad.” Gallus shook Ace’s hand, a small smile tugging at his beak. “Thanks. We’ll get stronger, you’ll see.” The rest of the Young Six gathered around, offering words of encouragement to Gallus and Growlithe. Ace watched them with a thoughtful expression. “You’ve got a strong group here,” he said. “If you keep working together and training hard, you’ll go far. Maybe we’ll battle again someday.” Ace gave a small wave before heading off down the road, his Eevee trotting happily at his side. The Young Six watched him go, their spirits bolstered by the encounter. Sandbar placed a hoof on Gallus’s shoulder. “You did great, Gallus. And you’re right—we’ll all get stronger together.” Gallus nodded, a determined gleam in his eye. “Yeah. Next time, Ace won’t know what hit him.” With renewed determination, the group continued their journey, eager to reach Pewter City. After the hard battle with their new rival Ace, the group managed to get to route 1, seeing the lush green grass and the tall trees surrounding them. “Alright everyone! Like Ace said, we should get more stronger, and what better way then to battle some Pokémon. And maybe if we’re lucky, catch some for our team!” Gallus said to the group. “I like the sound of that plan.” Smolder said, smirking as she looks around the area. “Then I say we should split up and look around, see if there’s any Pokémon around.” Everyone nodded in unison, splitting off from the group, in search for potential Pokémon. Sandbar was trotting around, taking in the scenery. He suddenly heard some rustling in a bush, deciding to check it out. He searched in the bushes, as a sudden gust of wind blew on his face, causing him to fall back on his hind legs. Sandbar looked up, seeing a small brown avian like Pokémon. “Pidgey!” The Pokémon shouted out loud. “What’s that Pokémon?” Sandbar said, pointing the Pokédex at the Pokémon. “Pidgey, the tiny bird Pokémon, A common sight in forests and woods. It flaps its wings at ground level to kick up blinding sand.” “Huh, let’s catch it Ghastbar!” Sandbar said to Gastly. Gastly floated in the air, circling the Pidgey. “Now Ghastbar, use Lick!” Gastly headed towards the Pidgey, licking its face, causing the Gastly to laugh. Pidgey, however, just shook off the saliva, letting out a battle cry. “It wasn’t affected by his lick? Well that’s fine, I got it distracted enough to catch it.” Sandbar said, grabbing a Pokéball. Sandbar threw the Pokéball, making contact with the Pidgey, but nothing happened. “Huh? Why didn’t it get sucked in?” Sandbar went over to his Pokéball, realizing that it was Gastly’s Pokéball. “Oh… that’s why.” The Pidgey flew off in the air, making its escape. Gastly went back to Sandbar, seeing him holding the Pokéball he threw, laughing at him. “Har, har… come on, let’s go back to the group.” The Young Six regrouped, some feeling a bit embarrassed than others. “We don’t have Pokéballs to catch any Pokémon.” Sandbar said to the group. “Really? I didn’t know that,” Gallus said sarcastically. “Of course we don’t have any Pokéballs!” “Why are you yelling at me for? Isn’t this your idea?” “Yeah, I did think of it…” Gallus sighed, looking embarrassed. “I tried to catch one… but I just realized we don’t have any… my bad for shouting.” “Hey, don’t worry about it man.” Sandbar said, putting a hoof on his shoulder. “There is a city not that far, maybe they sell Pokéballs.” Ocellus said, looking at the map. “Good idea Ocellus, let’s get going then.” As they tracked their way to Viridian City, they could see the tall buildings in the distance. They finally made it to Viridian City. They looked around the many tall buildings, eventually finding a red building with a Pokéball on the top. “Is that the place to get Pokéballs?” Silverstream asked curiously. “I don’t think so. This place is called the Pokémon Center. This place helps heal Pokémon.” Ocellus said, examining the map. “Huh, well my Pokémon does look pretty tired.” Smolder said, looking at her injured Charmander. The group decided to head into the Pokémon Center. Once inside, they saw many people and Pokémon. In the middle bottom of the room, they saw a nurse with a pink dress with a white apron. The group walked over to her, as she greeted them. “Welcome to the Pokémon Center, my name is Nurse Joy, would you like to heal your Pokémon?” Nurse Joy smiled to the group. “Yes please. We would like to heal our Pokémon.” Sandbar said, handing over his Pokéball to Nurse Joy. The others did the same, handing over their Pokéballs to Nurse Joy. “Your Pokémon will be healed momentarily, please wait here.” Nurse Joy said, leaving for a couple minutes. As the group waited for there Pokémon to return, Silverstream saw a pink, ovoid Pokémon with stubby arms and dark pink feet. “What kind of Pokémon is that?” Silverstream said, pointing the Pokédex at the Pokémon. Chansey, the egg Pokémon, A rare and elusive POKéMON that is said to bring happiness to those who manage to get it. “Chansey, Chansey!” The Chansey said, working on injured Pokémon. “Aww, how cute!” After a few more minutes, Nurse Joy returned, handing over their Pokéballs. “All of your Pokémon are fully healed, we hope to see you again soon!” “Thank you very much Nurse Joy, how much do we owe you?” Sandbar said, pulling out some Pokédollars out of his bag. “No need for that my dear, this is free healthcare for all trainers. You don’t have to pay for healing your Pokémon.” Nurse Joy smiled warmly to Sandbar. “Really? Wow, thank you Nurse Joy.” Sandbar returned a smile. The group waved goodbye to Nurse Joy, exiting the building in search of the Pokémart. Eventually, they found a blue building with the same Pokéball icon just like the Pokémon center. “This must be the place.” Gallus said, stepping inside the building. The others followed suit, entering the building. Once inside, the group saw shelves of many assortments of items and a few people shopping. Gallus walked over to the cashier, to which greeted them. “Welcome to the Pokémart, what can I get for you?” The cashier asked the group. “Yes, we would like some Pokéballs please?” Sandbar asked the cashier. “Certainly! How much do you need?” The group thought for a moment, turning to Ocellus, to which she deadpanned. “According to how much we have and how many of us are here, my calculations say… 12 Pokéballs should be enough.” “12 Pokéballs, certainly! That’ll be ₽2,400 please.” Gallus handed the cashier the money, as the cashier handed them 12 Pokéballs. “And I’ll give you a Premier Ball as a bonus.” The cashier said, handing them a white Pokéball. “Oh, thank you very much.” Sandbar said, grabbing the Premier Ball and putting it in his bag. “Is there anything else i can do for you all today?” “Nope, that should be it. Thank you.” “Come back soon!” The cashier said, waving goodbye to the group. The group exited the Pokémart, looking at the map. “Alright, where do we go now?” Smolder said to the others. “Hmm… it says here that we need to go to the second route in order to reach Pewter City.” Ocellus replied. “What are we waiting for! Yona wants to catch Pokémon!” Yona stomped her hooves excitedly. The group nodded, as they were heading out of Viridian City. As they were about to leave, Gallus stopped in his tracks, seeing a building with the words ‘Viridian City Gym.’ “Guys, look! A gym!” Gallus said, running over to the Viridian Gym. “Gallus, wait!” Sandbar said, running after him, the others following suit. Gallus and the rest got to the Viridian Gym. As Gallus was about to walk in, he was stopped by a man dressed in black with a red R symbol on the center of his shirt. “Woah there! Let me see your seven badges.” The man said, looking at Gallus. “What?! Seven badges! We don’t even have one!” Gallus said in surprise. “No badges? Then I’m afraid you can’t come in until you have all seven badges.” The man said, blocking the door. Gallus growled at the man in frustration, storming off, the others catching up to him. “Man, I wanted to fight that gym, it’s was right there, why can’t we just go in and challenge the gym leader?” Gallus mumbled in annoyance. “Maybe this gym leader is the strongest of them all, I don’t think we can take it on just yet.” Sandbar said to Gallus. “Maybe you’re right, as much as I hate to admit it.” “Come on, let’s go the Pewter City Gym, that’s what the Professor said to go first.” Gallus nodded, as the group left Viridian City, one day to return. The group walked through the second route, this time, more prepared than were originally. “Alright everyone, let’s split up again, this time, we have Pokéballs to catch some Pokémon, but we only have enough for two for each of us,” Sandbar said, handing everyone two Pokéballs each. “Let’s try to use them wisely, or not, it’s up to you really.” The group split up once again, searching for Pokémon to battle and catch. Sandbar wondered around aimlessly, looking for any sight of Pokémon, until he spotted a Caterpie. “Aha, my new Pokémon member! Go, Ghastbar!” Sandbar said, throwing his Pokéball, releasing his Gastly. “Gastly!” Gastly shouted out loud. The Caterpie looked at the two, preparing its battle stance, shooting out string from its mouth. “Ghastbar, dodge it and use lick!” Gastly dodge the string skillfully, getting up close to give it a lick. When the Caterpie got licked, static electricity went through its body, immobilizing it. “Now’s my chance, go Pokéball!” Sandbar said, throwing a Pokéball at the Caterpie. The Pokéball hit the Caterpie, immediately sucking it inside. Sandbar watched the Pokéball shake around on the ground. 1 shake… 2 shakes… 3 shakes… click Sandbar watch as the Pokéball stopped moving, walking over to the Pokéball. “Alright! I caught a Caterpie!” Sandbar said to himself, picking up the Pokéball, releasing the Caterpie out of the Pokéball. “Nice to meet you Caterpie, I’m Sandbar, your new trainer.” “Caterpie!” The Caterpie chanted happily. After many hours of searching, battling, and catching Pokémon, it was starting to get dark. The Young Six regrouped to each other, ready to show the rest what they caught. “Well everyone, did anyone catch anything?” Sandbar asked the others. Smolder chuckled, taking a Pokéball out. “I got one right here.” Smolder tossed the Pokéball, unleashing a purple mammal like Pokémon. “Nidoran!” The Pokémon shouted to the group. “Whoa! It looks so cool!” Silverstream said excitedly, getting up to its face. Sandbar took out the Pokédex and pointed it at the Nidoran. ”Nidoran (Male), the poison pin Pokémon, Stiffens its ears to sense danger. The larger its horns, the more powerful its secreted venom. This species is males only.” Silverstream, after listening to the Pokédex entry, looked back at the Nidoran, before growling a bit at her, causing her to back up. “I caught this little guy while exploring. I given him a nickname as well, Spikoran!” “Awww, you named it after Spike, your little boyfriend.” Gallus snickered to himself, getting punched on the shoulder by Smolder. “That’s great Smolder! What about the rest of you guys?” Sandbar said to the rest. The others stayed silent, some kicking up some dirt. “All I kept finding were these purple rat creatures, they looked boring in my opinion.” Gallus said, crossing his arms. “Yona tried catching Pokémon, but Pokémon ran from Yona!” Yona said, stomping her hooves, looking upset. “I loved all that I saw! I tried to catch some, they kept getting out of the Pokéballs… and running away.” Silverstream said sadly. “I was more observing them than catching them.” Ocellus said, scratching her head. “Well, that’s alright, you’ll catch some eventually. I, on the other hand, caught two.” Sandbar said, holding out his two Pokéballs. “What?! No way, you must be lying or something!” Gallus said, crossing his arms, not believing him. Sandbar threw the two Pokéballs, unleashing his Caterpie and his newly caught Pidgey. “Wow! They’re so cute!” Silverstream said excitedly. “Pfft, show off.” Gallus rolled his eyes, smirking a bit. “Yup, I even gave my Pidgey a nickname, Featherbar!” Sandbar said to the group. “Featherbar? Really? First it was Ghastbar, now Featherbar? Did you name your Caterpie Bugbar?” Smolder crossed her arms, chuckled a bit. “I was kinda thinking of it, but decided not to.” “Oh course you were.” The group looked up at the sky, seeing the sun going down. “We should probably call it a night, it’s starting to get dark.” Sandbar said, setting up the camping equipment. The others nodded, settling up their sleeping bags and making a small fire. Once they all settled down, they all said their goodnights, before falling asleep. And so, with new Pokémon on their roosters, the Young Six were are now getting some rest, preparing for their first gym battle. Gallus, however, was still awake, staring at the night sky. “One day Ace, I will have a rematch with you, and win this time.” Gallus said to himself, before falling off to sleep. As the journey continues… //-------------------------------------------------------// The Road to Cerulean City //-------------------------------------------------------// The Road to Cerulean City Yona and Silverstream, although victorious, left the Pewter City Gym without the rest of their friends. As they were about to depart, they heard a voice behind them—it was Sandbar. Sandbar ran after them, calling out. “Girls, hold on!” Yona and Silverstream turned around to see Sandbar running toward them. “What is it, Sandbar?” Silverstream asked. Sandbar panted a bit, handing them ₽1386. “Brock almost forgot to give you this.” Silverstream smiled as she took the money and put it in her bag. “Thanks, Sandbar.” Sandbar returned her smile. “Brock also mentioned that there will be trainers up ahead, so make sure you buy some potions to heal your Pokémon.” Silverstream nodded. “Okay, tell Brock we said thank you.” Sandbar nodded again, looking at the two. “Be safe out there. I have a feeling we’ll be facing even stronger opponents going forward.” “Don’t you worry. Yona and I will be fine, right Yona?” Yona stomped her hooves confidently. “Yeah! Yona and Bulbasaur strong!” Sandbar chuckled, smiling. “Alright, we’ll meet you at Cerulean City.” Silverstream and Yona nodded, waving goodbye to Sandbar. As the two walked, Silverstream turned to Yona. “Let’s get our Pokémon healed up and stock up on some supplies.” Yona nodded in agreement. They headed to the Pokémon Center, and once their Pokémon were healed, they went to the Poké Mart. After buying more Pokéballs and potions, they were ready to head to Cerulean City. Silverstream and Yona trekked along the path, enjoying the beautiful scenery. They decided to split up to search for any Pokémon to catch. Silverstream ventured further, encountering many Pokémon, though none seemed to suit her. As she kept walking, she came across a girl in a school uniform. The girl spotted her and called out. “Hey, you! Would you like to have a Pokémon battle?” Silverstream, eager to train her Pokémon more, grinned. “Sure!” The girl smiled, holding out a Pokéball. “Alright, Pidgey, let’s go!” A Pidgey was released onto the battlefield, flying high in the sky. Silverstream smirked confidently. “A Pidgey? Let’s do this, Squirtle!” Squirtle emerged from its Pokéball, ready for battle. “Pidgey, use Tackle!” the girl commanded. Pidgey swooped down, aiming for Squirtle. “Squirtle, meet it head-on with Tackle!” Silverstream shouted. The two Pokémon collided mid-air, each stepping back slightly. “Now, use Bubble!” Squirtle shot out a stream of bubbles, hitting Pidgey and dampening its wings. “Alright, now use Tackle again!” Squirtle jumped and struck Pidgey, causing it to faint. “Way to go, Squirtle!” Silverstream cheered excitedly. The girl returned her Pidgey and pulled out another Pokéball. “You may have beaten one of my Pidgey, but can you handle another?” Another Pidgey emerged, ready for battle. “Alright, Squirtle, we’ve done it once; we can do it again! Use Tackle!” Squirtle charged at the second Pidgey, but this time, the Pidgey dodged. “Pidgey, use Gust!” the girl commanded. Pidgey flapped its wings, sending a powerful gust of wind toward Squirtle, knocking it to the ground. “Squirtle, are you okay?” Silverstream asked, concerned. “Squirtle!” it responded confidently. “Good! Let’s finish this with Bubble!” Squirtle unleashed another stream of bubbles, striking Pidgey and knocking it out. “Alright! Way to go, Squirtle!” Silverstream hugged her Pokémon tightly. The girl smiled as she approached them. “That was a great battle! Here, take this as a reward for your victory.” Silverstream accepted ₽135, smiling. “Thank you!” “No problem! Just remember, when you win a battle, trainers will reward you with money. But if you lose, you’ll have to pay them instead.” “Got it! Thanks for the advice,” Silverstream said before heading off with Squirtle, feeling stronger than before. Meanwhile, Yona was walking along a dirt path when she encountered a boy holding a bug net. “I’ve caught so many Bug-type Pokémon! Want to see them in battle?” the Bug Catcher asked, holding out a Pokéball. Yona nodded. “Bring it on! Yona and Bulbasaur will face you!” “Alright! Let’s go, Caterpie!” the Bug Catcher called, sending out his Caterpie. “Bulbasaur, let’s go!” Yona shouted, throwing her Pokéball. “Caterpie, use Tackle!” Caterpie charged at Bulbasaur, but Bulbasaur dodged with ease. “Bulbasaur, use Tackle, too!” Bulbasaur charged forward, slamming into Caterpie and knocking it out. “Alright, Bulbasaur!” Yona cheered. The Bug Catcher returned his Caterpie and sent out another Pokémon. “We’re not done yet! Go, Weedle!” A small, bug-like Pokémon with a sharp needle on its head appeared. Yona took out her Pokédex. “What’s that Pokémon?” Weedle, the Hairy Bug Pokémon. Often found in forests, eating leaves. It has a sharp, venomous stinger on its head. “A new bug? Well, let’s squash it! Bulbasaur, Tackle!” Bulbasaur charged at Weedle, striking it down and winning the battle. The Bug Catcher sighed, handing Yona ₽120. “Good job.” Yona smiled. “Yona strong! Yona and Bulbasaur strong together!” After battling several trainers, Silverstream and Yona reunited, both looking exhausted. “Sandbar wasn’t kidding—these trainers are tough,” Silverstream said, panting. “Yeah… Yona fought so much, Yona ran out of potions,” Yona said, shaking an empty potion bottle. Silverstream looked around and spotted a Pokémon Center. “Look! A Pokémon Center!” The two quickly made their way to the center, avoiding further trainer battles. Once inside, they handed their Pokémon to Nurse Joy and sat down to catch their breath. As the two waited in the Pokémon Center, catching their breath, a salesman approached them. “Excuse me, girls. Could I interest you in a rare Pokémon for your adventure? It’s only ₽500,” he said with a sly grin. Yona’s ears perked up, her curiosity piqued. “Yona buy rare Pokémon for ₽500? Yona accepts!” Yona handed over the ₽500, and in return, the salesman gave her a Pokéball. “Pleasure doing business with you! By the way, no refunds,” the salesman said, chuckling as he left the Pokémon Center. Yona examined the Pokéball curiously before releasing the Pokémon inside. Out came a flopping fish-like creature, splashing about on the floor. “Karp! Karp!” the Pokémon chanted as it flailed. Silverstream tilted her head, puzzled. “Uh… what kind of Pokémon is that?” Yona pointed her Pokédex at the creature. Magikarp, the Fish Pokémon. In the distant past, it was somewhat stronger than the horribly weak descendants that exist today. “Wait… weak? Did that salesman just trick you?” Silverstream asked, checking the Pokédex. “It only knows one move—Splash.” Yona sighed, stomping her hooves angrily. “Salesman tricked Yona! But… Yona and Bulbasaur will make Magikarp strong!” Magikarp flopped excitedly at Yona’s words. “Karp! Karp!” Shortly after, Nurse Joy returned with their healed Pokémon. Feeling refreshed, the two set off again, following the path to Cerulean City. Soon, they came upon a towering mountain with a cave entrance. Silverstream read a sign near the entrance. “Mt. Moon… It looks like we’ll have to go through here to reach Cerulean City.” Yona nodded. “Yona ready!” The two ventured into the cave, where the air was damp, and the walls were lined with small craters resembling meteorite impacts. It was dark, and the sound of dripping water echoed throughout. “I think we should stick together,” Silverstream said nervously, glancing at the shadows. “Good idea,” Yona agreed. As they moved deeper, they encountered bat-like Pokémon flying above them. A small Geodude suddenly rolled into their path, catching Yona’s attention. “Yona wants Geodude! Geodude strong!” Yona’s voice echoed, drawing Geodude’s focus. The Geodude charged toward them, forcing Silverstream and Yona to leap aside. “Bulbasaur, let’s go!” Yona shouted, tossing her Pokéball. “Geo!” the Geodude bellowed as it lunged at Bulbasaur. “Bulbasaur, dodge and use Tackle!” Yona commanded. Bulbasaur deftly dodged and slammed into Geodude, knocking it back. The Geodude retaliated with a hard Tackle, but Bulbasaur quickly recovered. “Finish it with another Tackle!” Bulbasaur charged again, slamming into Geodude and leaving it dazed on the ground. “Now, Pokéball go!” Yona cried, throwing a Pokéball. The Pokéball struck Geodude, sucking it inside. It wobbled violently on the ground. 1 shake… 2 shakes… 3 shakes… click “Yona caught Geodude!” Silverstream cheered, clapping her hands. “Yeah! Yona strong!” Yona stomped her hooves proudly. “Are you going to nickname it?” “Hmm… Yona will call it… Rockhorn!” “Rockhorn, huh? I like it!” Silverstream said, beaming. As they ventured further into the cave, the two came upon a long, rocky bridge. Sunlight peeked through the cave’s exit at the other end. “Look, Yona! An exit!” Silverstream said excitedly, rushing forward. “Thank goodness! Yona tired of bat Pokémon!” They started to cross the bridge but stopped when they noticed two suspicious figures in matching white uniforms with a bold red “R” on their chests. The pair had cornered a small, pink, bipedal Pokémon clutching a shiny stone. “C-Clefairy!” the Pokémon cried, trembling. Silverstream gasped. “Hey! Leave that Clefairy alone!” The two individuals turned around, smirking. “Prepare for trouble!” the woman shouted. “And make it double!” the man added. “To protect the world from devastation! To unite all peoples within our nation! To denounce the evils of truth and love! To extend our reach to the stars above! Jessie! James! Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light! Surrender now, or prepare to fight!” “Meowth, that’s right!” chimed in a small, cat-like Pokémon. “Well, well, look what we have here—a couple of nosy kids,” Jessie sneered. “Guess we’ll have to teach them a lesson! Go, Ekans!” “Let’s go, Koffing!” James added. The two tossed their Pokéballs, releasing a snake-like Ekans and a gas-spewing Koffing. Silverstream pointed her Pokédex at the Pokémon. Ekans, the Snake Pokémon. Moves silently and stealthily. Eats the eggs of birds, such as Pidgey and Spearow, whole. Koffing, the Poison Gas Pokémon. Stores several kinds of toxic gases in its body and is prone to exploding without warning. “Let’s take these bullies down, Yona!” Silverstream declared. “Yona ready! Bulbasaur, let’s go!” “Squirtle, you’re up too!” Bulbasaur and Squirtle faced off against Ekans and Koffing. “Ekans, Wrap attack!” Jessie commanded. “Koffing, use Tackle!” James shouted. “Bulbasaur, Vine Whip on Ekans!” Yona countered. “Squirtle, use Water Gun on Koffing!” Silverstream followed up. Bulbasaur’s vines lashed out, striking Ekans and sending it sprawling. Squirtle’s Water Gun doused Koffing, knocking it out of the air. Both enemy Pokémon fainted. Jessie growled. “These twerps are stronger than they look! Meowth, do something!” “Eh?! What do you want me to do? Scratch them?” Meowth retorted. Meowth leapt forward, claws extended. “Here come the claws!” Before it could land a hit, Bulbasaur and Squirtle both attacked, sending Meowth flying back to Jessie and James. “This isn’t over!” Jessie shouted, throwing a smoke bomb. As the smoke cleared, Team Rocket was gone. Silverstream grinned. “Yeah, that’ll show them!” The timid Clefairy approached them, holding out the Moon Stone it had been protecting. Silverstream accepted it with a smile. “Thank you, Clefairy.” The Clefairy nodded before hopping back into the shadows. The two crossed the rocky bridge, coming upon one last trainer blocking the cave exit. He was a bespectacled nerd holding two strange fossils. “Hey, I saw you two take down Team Rocket. Impressive! If you beat me in a battle, I’ll let you choose one of these fossils!” Silverstream and Yona exchanged glances. “Silverstream, you take the fossil. Yona doesn’t need one,” Yona said. Silverstream nodded. “Alright, I’ll battle you for it!” The two squared off in an intense battle, but after several minutes, Silverstream emerged victorious. “Squirtle, we did it!” Silverstream cheered, hugging her Pokémon. Squirtle’s body began to glow, causing Silverstream to step back in awe. Her Squirtle grew taller, its ears and tail becoming more pronounced. “Wartortle!” the evolved Pokémon roared. Silverstream, still in shock, pointed her Pokédex. Wartortle, the Turtle Pokémon, and the evolved form of Squirtle. Often hides in water to stalk unwary prey. For swimming fast, it moves its ears to maintain balance. “Squirtle evolved? That’s so cool!” The nerd returned his fainted Pokémon and held out two fossils: one resembling a horseshoe crab and the other a spiraled shell. “Which fossil do you want?” Silverstream chose the horseshoe crab fossil. “Ah, the Dome Fossil. Excellent choice!” Silverstream thanked him and placed the fossil in her bag. As they exited the cave, the warm sunlight was a welcome change from the damp darkness. Ahead, the vibrant blue rooftops of Cerulean City came into view. Silverstream fluttered excitedly. “We made it! Cerulean City, here we come!” Yona nodded, her eyes gleaming with determination. “Yona and Bulbasaur ready!” With new Pokémon, a Moon Stone, and an evolved Wartortle, the two raced toward the city, eager to explore and prepare for the challenges ahead. As the journey continues… Author's Note Decided to change their Pokémon moves since I’ve screw up the movesets a bit. I’ll fix later for the previous chapters. //-------------------------------------------------------// Reunited in Cerulean City //-------------------------------------------------------// Reunited in Cerulean City The cool breeze of Cerulean City carried the sounds of people and Pokémon alike as Yona and Silverstream wandered through the vibrant streets. Their exploration led them to a small house for injured Pokémon. Inside, they found several Pokémon recovering, including a Bulbasaur. A kind woman approached them with a warm smile. “I’ve been caring for these injured Pokémon, including this Bulbasaur. It’s feeling much better now. Would you like to take it?” Silverstream knelt down, meeting Bulbasaur’s gaze. She smiled softly. “I’d love to take care of it.” The woman nodded as Bulbasaur walked over to Silverstream. “Hey there, little guy. Welcome to the team, Lilyvine!” With a new Pokémon in tow, the two left the house and continued exploring the city before heading to the Pokémon Center. After a few hours, the automatic doors slid open, and a familiar voice called out to them. “Yona! Silverstream!” The two turned to see Smolder, Gallus, Sandbar, and Ocellus entering with their Pokémon by their sides. Gallus held up a shiny Boulder Badge, a cocky grin on his face. “Told you we’d catch up,” he said smugly. Sandbar chuckled. “We’ve been training nonstop. Ghastbar and I are more than ready for this next gym.” Ocellus adjusted her bag shyly. “Some of us even caught new Pokémon along the way!” Silverstream’s ears perked up. “Ohhh! What did you guys catch?” Gallus smirked, holding out a Pokéball. “Check this out. Come on out, Swiftwing!” He tossed the ball, and out came a small bird Pokémon, different from a Pidgey. Silverstream pulled out her Pokédex to scan the new Pokémon. Spearow, the Tiny Bird Pokémon. Eats bugs in grassy areas. It has to flap its short wings at high speed to stay airborne. Gallus puffed out his chest. “Pretty awesome, right?” “Yeah, really awesome!” Silverstream exclaimed excitedly. Ocellus stepped forward shyly, holding her own Pokéball. “I caught something too. Bubblechime, say hi!” She released her Pokémon, revealing a small, pink, balloon-like creature. Yona pulled out her Pokédex. Jigglypuff, the Balloon Pokémon. When its huge eyes light up, it sings a mysteriously soothing melody that lulls its enemies to sleep. “Aww, cute! Yona like!” Yona said, petting Ocellus’s Jigglypuff. She then threw her own Pokéballs to show off her Magikarp and Geodude. “Oh, sweet! You got a Geodude?” Smolder asked, smirking. “Yeah! Yona like Brock’s Geodude, so Yona had to get one!” “And… what’s with the fish?” Gallus asked, raising an eyebrow as he watched the Magikarp flop around. “Oh, that’s Yona’s Magikarp,” Silverstream explained. “She bought it from a salesman who said it was rare, but the Pokédex says it’s really weak.” “Yeah, but Yona will make Magikarp strong!” Yona said confidently. “I caught a new Pokémon too. Come on out, Lilyvine!” Silverstream released her Bulbasaur for everyone to see. “A Bulbasaur? How’d you get it?” Sandbar asked curiously. “I found it in a house for injured Pokémon. A woman offered to let me take it, and I said yes!” “Wow, it’ll definitely help in the next gym,” Smolder said, nodding in approval. “Oh! Guess what!” Silverstream exclaimed, throwing another Pokéball to reveal her Wartortle. “My Squirtle evolved!” The group gasped, admiring the newly evolved Pokémon. “Nice work, Silverstream! I’ve got an evolved Pokémon too!” Ocellus said, releasing her Butterfree. Silverstream scanned it with her Pokédex. Butterfree, the Butterfly Pokémon, and the final evolution of Caterpie. In battle, it flaps its wings at high speed to release highly toxic dust into the air. “Wow! Your Caterpie evolved into a Butterfree? That’s awesome!” Silverstream exclaimed, making Ocellus blush. “Yeah, it evolved pretty quickly,” Ocellus said with a shy smile. “Hey, don’t forget me! My Caterpie evolved too!” Sandbar added, releasing his own Butterfree. “Well, you two should be proud!” Silverstream said cheerfully. “Oh, they are,” a familiar voice chimed in. Yona and Silverstream turned to see Brock approaching, accompanied by a boy with a red cap and a tomboyish girl. “Brock! Are you joining us on our journey?” Silverstream asked. Brock shook his head, chuckling. “No, I’m traveling with Ash and Misty.” Silverstream turned to the other two as they introduced themselves. “I’m Ash from Pallet Town, and this is my buddy, Pikachu!” the boy said. A small yellow Pokémon leapt onto his shoulder. Yona scanned it with her Pokédex. Pikachu, the Mouse Pokémon. When several of these Pokémon gather, their electricity could cause lightning storms. “And I’m Misty, the Cerulean Gym Leader,” the girl said, glaring at Ash. “I’m traveling with him because he destroyed my bike!” Ash laughed nervously. Misty smirked. “I heard about your first gym battle, so I’m challenging all six of you to two-on-one battles, just like Brock did.” “That’s awesome!” Silverstream said, practically bouncing. Misty clapped her hands. “Let’s head to the gym and get started!” The group followed Misty to the Cerulean Gym, where the battlefield was covered in water with scattered rocks serving as platforms. “So, who’s first?” Misty asked, clapping her hands together. The Young Six split into teams: Sandbar and Silverstream, Yona and Ocellus, and Gallus and Smolder. Sandbar and Silverstream stepped forward first. “You ready?” Sandbar asked. “Ready!” Silverstream replied eagerly. The two sent out Ghastbar and Wartortle. Misty threw out her first Pokémon, a star-shaped creature. Sandbar scanned it with his Pokédex. Staryu, the Star Shape Pokémon. An enigmatic Pokémon that can regenerate any appendage it loses in battle. The battle began as Sandbar called out the first move. “Ghastbar, use Night Shade!” Purple smoke surrounded Staryu, causing it to take damage. “Staryu, Tackle!” Misty commanded. Staryu charged, but Ghastbar phased out of the way, and the tackle hit Wartortle instead. “Wartortle, Tackle back!” Silverstream shouted. Wartortle rammed into Staryu, sending it flying into the water. “Finish it with Night Shade, Ghastbar!” Ghastbar enveloped Staryu in purple smoke again, and the Pokémon fainted. “Well done!” Misty said, recalling her Pokémon. She sent out her next one. “Let’s see how you handle Starmie!” Misty’s second Pokémon appeared, a larger, more intricate starfish. Silverstream scanned it. Starmie, the Mysterious Pokémon. Its central core glows with the seven colors of the rainbow. Some people value the core as a gem. The battle continued fiercely, with Misty using Bubble Beam and the duo countering with Leech Seed and Night Shade. After an intense exchange, Starmie fainted, leaving Sandbar and Silverstream victorious. “You two did great!” Misty praised. With Sandbar and Silverstream victorious, Yona and Ocellus stepped up next, ready to face Misty’s water Pokémon. “Ready, Ocellus?” Yona asked, stomping her hoof with determination. Ocellus nodded, though she looked a little nervous. “Y-Yeah, let’s do this!” Misty smiled, tossing out her first Pokémon. “Staryu, you’re up!” The star-shaped Pokémon splashed into the water, its core glowing faintly. Yona and Ocellus released their Pokémon. “Go, Magikarp!” Yona shouted, throwing her Pokéball. “You too, Bubblechime!” Ocellus followed suit, releasing her Jigglypuff. Misty smirked, holding back a chuckle. “A Magikarp, huh? This should be interesting. Staryu, use Tackle!” Staryu shot forward, slamming into Magikarp, but Yona’s Pokémon held on, flopping stubbornly in the water. “Bubblechime, Sing!” Ocellus commanded. Jigglypuff began to sing its soothing melody, and Staryu’s movements slowed before it drifted off to sleep. “Now, use Pound!” Bubblechime hopped over to the snoozing Staryu and delivered a hard hit, knocking it into the water. “Magikarp, use your tail to send it flying!” Yona shouted. Magikarp leapt out of the water and smacked its tail against Staryu, finishing the battle. Misty returned Staryu, her smile unwavering. “Not bad, but let’s see how you handle my Starmie!” She tossed her next Pokéball, and the larger starfish Pokémon appeared, its gem-like core pulsing. “Starmie, Bubble Beam!” A torrent of bubbles shot out, hitting both Jigglypuff and Magikarp. Magikarp fainted immediately. “Magikarp, return!” Yona said, grabbing another Pokéball. “Let’s go, Bulbasaur!” Her Bulbasaur appeared on the battlefield, ready to battle. “Bubblechime, use Pound again!” Jigglypuff charged at Starmie, landing a hit, but Starmie retaliated with a powerful Tackle, sending it flying back. “Jigglypuff, return!” Ocellus called. “Silky Snap, your turn!” Her Butterfree hovered onto the battlefield. “Bulbasaur, use Vine Whip!” Yona commanded. The vines lashed out, wrapping around Starmie and pulling it down. “Silky Snap, use Confusion!” Butterfree’s psychic attack hit Starmie directly, causing it to stagger. “Finish it with another Vine whip, Bulbasaur!” Bulbasaur’s vines strikes Starmie and leaving it unable to battle. “You’ve got some impressive teamwork!” Misty said, recalling her Pokémon. “Great job, both of you!” Yona and Ocellus exchanged smiles and high-fives, celebrating their victory. Suddenly, Yona’s Bulbasaur started to glow. It was starting to evolve. Yona watched in awe, watching her Pokémon change. “Ivysaur!” The newly evolved Ivysaur roared. Yona scanned her newly evolved Pokémon. Ivysaur, the seed Pokémon, and the evolved form of Bulbasaur. When the bulb on its back grows large, it appears to lose the ability to stand on its hind legs. “Yona’s Bulbasaur evolved? Awesome!” Yona said, hugging her Ivysaur. Finally, Gallus and Smolder stepped forward. “Let’s show them how it’s done,” Gallus said with a smirk. Smolder grinned. “Ready when you are!” Misty sent out Staryu once more, and the two released their Pokémon: Gallus’s Swiftwing the Spearow and Smolder’s Spikoran the Nidoran. “Swiftwing, use Peck!” Gallus commanded. “Spikoran, use Horn Attack!” Smolder shouted. The two Pokémon attacked in unison, hitting Staryu and forcing it back. “Not bad, but Staryu can take it. Use Water Gun!” Misty commanded. Staryu sprayed a jet of water, striking both Swiftwing and Spikoran. “Shake it off, Swiftwing! Use Tackle!” Swiftwing swooped down, tackling Staryu repeatedly, weakening it further. “Spikoran, Tackle as well!” Nidoran charged forward, slamming into Staryu and knocking it out. “Well done!” Misty said, recalling Staryu. “But now it’s time for Starmie!” Starmie emerged once more, its gem core glowing. “Bubble Beam!” The attack hit both Swiftwing and Spikoran, knocking them out in one shot. Gallus and Smolder groaned, returning their fainted Pokémon. “Let’s finish this! Charmolder, let’s go!” “You too, Growlithe!” Gallus added. Charmander and Growlithe appeared, both ready for battle. “Fire types, huh? This should be interesting. Starmie, Water Gun!” Starmie’s water attack hit both Pokémon, but they quickly recovered. “Charmolder, Scratch!” “Growlithe, Bite!” The two charged at Starmie, landing their attacks, but it wasn’t enough. “Starmie, finish this with Bubble Beam!” The powerful stream of bubbles hit both Pokémon, knocking them out. Misty smiled as the two sighed in defeat. “You’ve got potential. Just keep training.” After the battles, Misty gathered the group and handed out four Cascade Badges to the victorious trainers. “Well done, everyone. You’ve all shown great skill and determination,” Misty said. “Here’s also a little something extra.” She handed them ₽2,079 and a Technical Machine. “This TM contains Bubble Beam. It’s a strong Water-type move that can also lower your opponent’s speed.” Sandbar took the TM with a smile. “Thank you, Misty. Where should we head next?” “The next gym is in Vermilion City,” Misty said. “You’ll need to board the S.S. Anne to get there. Check your map for more details.” Ocellus looked over the map and nodded. “Got it.” Smolder crossed her arms. “Gallus and I will stay here to train. We’ll catch up soon.” “Alright. We’ll see you in Vermilion City!” Sandbar said. As the group split up once again, with two badges under their belts, new Pokémon, and a newly evolved Ivysaur, they began to make their way to Vermillion City. As the journey continues… //-------------------------------------------------------// Journey to Vermillion City //-------------------------------------------------------// Journey to Vermillion City With the four victorious, they began to take their way to Vermillion City, once they healed up their Pokémon first. Once they were all ready to go, they began to trek to route 24. However, they spotted a familiar figure— Ace. “Oh look, it’s Ace!” Sandbar said to the others. Ace turned around, greeting them with a smile. “Well, if it isn’t the young trainers! How’s the gym battles coming along?” “Great, we managed to beat two gyms!” “That’s awesome to hear! Say, where’s Gallus? I wanted to see if he’s gotten any stronger.” Silverstream scratched her head sheepishly and giggled. “Well… let’s just say that his fiery spirit got… watered down.” Ace chuckled. “Ah, I see. That’s a shame, I wanted to see if he gotten any stronger or not. Perhaps maybe I can challenge one of you, what do you say?” The four looked at each other, Silverstream stepping forward. “I’ll challenge you!” “Great!” Ace took out one of his Pokéballs. “Go, Eevee!” “Wartortle, come on out!” The two Pokémon emerged out of their Pokéballs, readying themselves for battle. “A Wartortle huh? Looks like someone was busy training.” Ace said to Silverstream. Silverstream chucked, her wings flapping excitedly. “Yeah, we all have, and I’ll show you how trained my Pokémon are!” “I like your spirit, now let’s see if your all talk, Eevee, use Tackle!” The Eevee charged at Wartortle, but the Wartortle dodged swiftly. “Wartortle, use Water Gun!” Wartortle shot water from its mouth, striking Ace’s Eevee. The Eevee tumbled, but got back up. “Eevee, let’s use another Tackle!” The Eevee charged at Wartortle once more, but dodged its attack. Wartortle retaliated with its own tackle, knocking Eevee to the ground. “Now use Water Gun!” Silverstream followed up. Wartortle shot a powerful stream of water, knocking Eevee out. “Wow, your Wartortle has some speed, but let’s see it go against this, go Bulbasaur!” Ace released his Bulbasaur to the battlefield. “You have a Bulbasaur too? Me too! Wartortle, come back!” Wartortle walked back to Silverstream as she threw out her Bulbasaur to the battlefield. “Bulbasaur, use Vine Whip!” Ace commanded. Bulbasaur unleashed two vines from its body, striking at Silverstream’s Bulbasaur, but it wasn’t effective. “Lilyvine, let’s use Tackle!” Silverstream commanded. Bulbasaur charged at Ace’s Bulbasaur, knocking it to the ground. “One more Tackle!” Silverstream’s Bulbasaur charged at Ace’s Pokémon, tackling it on more time, causing it to faint. Ace returned his Bulbasaur, taking out one more Pokéball. “I will say, your pretty good at battling,” Silverstream smiled at Ace. “Thank you, I’ve been training hard with my Pokémon!” “Yeah, but can you handle this, Vulpix, let’s go!” Ace released a fox like Pokémon with six tails. Silverstream scanned the Pokémon. Vulpix, the fox Pokémon. At the time of birth, it has just one tail. The tail splits from its tip as it grows older. “Vulpix, Ember!” Ace commanded. The Vulpix shot out a fireball from its mouth, striking Bulbasaur and immediately knocking it out. “Woah, it’s strong!” Silverstream said, returning her Bulbasaur. “Wartortle, you’re up again!” Wartortle jumped into the battle. The Vulpix shot another fireball, but it wasn’t effective. “Wartortle, Water Gun!” Wartortle shot a jet of water at Vulpix, knocking it out instantly. Ace returned his Vulpix, smirking. “Wow, looks like I have myself a new rival! Keep up the good work. See you all soon!” With that, Ace ran off into route 24, as Sandbar, Ocellus and Yona looked at Silverstream. “EEEHHH!!!” My first rival battle!” Silverstream squealed happily. After taking another stop at the Pokémon center, the four ventured into route 24. As they ventured, Sandbar gave Silverstream the TM. “Here Silverstream, I don’t need it, plus you deserve it for beating Ace.” Silverstream took the TM, smiling at Sandbar. “Thank you!” Silverstream inserted the disk into her Pokédex. “Available Pokémon to use this TM: Wartortle and Jigglypuff. Would you like to let Wartortle learn Bubble Beam?” The Pokédex said to Silverstream. Silverstream looked at Ocellus, as she gave her the go ahead, pressed yes. Suddenly, the Pokédex flashed and after a few moments, it spoke. “Wartortle learned Bubble Beam!” Silverstream smiled, excited to test Wartortle’s move. The four continued to walk down the path, coming towards a bridge with lots of trainers. Ocellus gulped. “T-that’s a lot of trainers…” Yona stomped her hoof. “Yona not worried! Yona’s Pokémon are strong enough for trainers!” “Yeah, I’m confident in my Pokémon!” Sandbar said, crossing the bridge first. A bug catcher stopped Sandbar in his tracks, engaging in a Pokémon battle. “Caterpie, let’s go!” The bug Catcher threw his Pokéballs. A Caterpie appeared on the bridge, ready for battle. “Gastbar, come on out!” Sandbar said, throwing out his Pokéball. “Caterpie, use Tackle!” The bug Catcher commanded. Caterpie charged at Gastly, but phased right through it. “Ghastbar, use Night Shade!” Purple smoke surrounded Caterpie, causing Caterpie to stumble. “Caterpie, use String Shot!” Caterpie shot out some sticky string at Gastly, but it only made Gastly slower. “Ghastbar, use Night Shade again!” Purple surrounded Caterpie once again, knocking it out. The bug catcher returned his Pokémon, grabbing another Pokéball. “Weedle, let’s go!” A Weedle appeared on the bridge, readying itself. “Weedle, use Poison Sting!” Weedle shot out a purple needle at Gastly, but it didn’t do much to Gastly. “Ghastbar, use Lick!” Gastly got up close to Weedle, giving it a lick, causing it to be paralyzed. “Now use Night Shade!” The Weedle, unable to move, was hit with a purple cloud, getting knocked out. The trainer returned his Pokémon, giving Sandbar ₽140. After battling a few more trainers, they encountered and defeated a disguised Team Rocket grunt. The grunt returned its fainted Zubat, rewarding the victor with a nugget. The four were off the bridge, able to explore the area without any trainers. As they explored, they stumbled upon a trainer in a rocky area, looking upset. The four went over to the trainer, looking concerned. “Are you okay there buddy?” Sandbar asked the trainer. The trainer sighed, looking at Sandbar. “I can’t raise Pokémon well. I was just going to release it, but since you four are here, would any of you want to take care of it?” The four looked at each other, discussing upon themselves. After reaching a verdict, Silverstream stepped forward. “I’ll take care of your Charmander for you!” Silverstream said excitedly. The trainer nodded, handing over his Charmander to Silverstream. “Take good care of it, okay?” Silverstream nodded, seeing him walk away. “Wait, don’t you want to say goodbye to it?” The trainer shook his head. “Nah, it’ll only break it’s and my heart if we do. Farewell everyone.” The four saw the trainer walk away in the distance, disappearing from sight. Silverstream looked at the Pokéball, releasing Charmander from within. Charmander, looking puzzled by the four, looked around for its original trainer. “Hey there little guy, don’t you worry, my friends and I were trusted to take good care of you.” Silverstream said with a warm smile. The Charmander, not fully understanding what she meant, nodded to her, making a small ‘char’ sound. Eventually, the four split up, searching for any Pokémon to catch. Yona walked around the area, stumbling upon a turnip - like Pokémon. “What’s this Pokémon?” Yona scanned the Pokémon. Oddish, the weed Pokémon. During the day, it keeps its face buried in the ground. At night, it wanders around sowing its seeds. “Yona find Oddish cute looking! Yona catch Oddish!” Yona brought out her Ivysaur, ready to battle. “Ivysaur, Tackle!” Ivysaur charged at Oddish, knocking it down, but recovered. The Oddish retaliated with Absorb, draining Ivysaur’s energy. “Ivysaur, one more Tackle!” Ivysaur charged at the Oddish again, knocking it back. The Oddish looked dazed, giving Yona the opportunity to catch it. “Pokéball go!” Yona threw her Pokéball towards the Oddish. The Pokéball made contact to Oddish, getting sucked inside. 1 shake… 2 shakes… 3 shakes… click. Yona stomped her hooves excitedly. “Yona caught Oddish! I shall name you… Sproutling!” A few hours pass and the four reunited, some eager to show off some new Pokémon. “So, did anyone catch any Pokémon?” Sandbar asked curiously. “Sure did! Sproutling, come on out!” Yona threw out her Pokéball, showing off her Oddish. “Hey, I have one too!” Sandbar exclaimed, showing off his Oddish. “What about you too?” Silverstream shook her head. “I couldn’t find a Pokémon I wanted to catch.” The three turned their attention onto Ocellus, who shyly held a Pokéball. “I… found a Pokémon, it’s pretty fascinating.” Ocellus said, throwing her Pokéball. She released her Pokémon, a bipedal mammal like Pokémon, however, it was floating off the ground. Everyone looked in awe, pointing their Pokédex’s at the Pokémon. Abra, the psi Pokémon. Using its ability to read minds, it will identify impending danger and TELEPORT to safety. “Wow! It can teleport to get away from danger!” Sandbar said to Ocellus. “Yeah, it was difficult to catch, but thanks to Bubblechime’s singing, I’ve managed to put it to sleep and catch it.” “That’s great Ocellus! Oh, I also found this,” Sandbar held up a TM. “This TM is called Thunder Wave.” “Ohhh! What does it do?” Silverstream’s curiosity piqued. Sandbar read the description on his Pokédex. “Says here that it can paralyze an opponent or wild Pokémon.” “That could be useful for catching more Pokémon. Which Pokémon can learn the move?” Ocellus asked curiously. Sandbar looked at the Pokémon that can learn the move. “The only one that can learn the move from our teams are only Jigglypuff,” Sandbar said, looking at Ocellus. “Would you like Bubblechime to learn the move Ocellus?” “Well… okay, why not.” Sandbar nodded, clicking the yes option. After a few moments, the Pokédex announced. “Bubblechime learned Thunder Wave!” “Great, Bubblechime learned a new move! Now, let’s continue forward, shall we?” The four started heading up to route 25, going into a maze in the forest. After going through a maze of trees and trainers, the four managed to get out, seeing a cottage by the sea shore. “Huh, looks like this is a dead end. Guess we should go back.” Sandbar said to the others. As they turned around, they suddenly heard noises coming from the cottage. The four looked at each other, going over to the cottage door. Sandbar knocked on the door, but no answer. They heard more sounds of objects falling on the floor. Yona, being the strongest one there, kicked the door open. The four went inside, seeing a bunch of papers on the floor and a Nidoran male sitting in the middle of the room. Silverstream awe’d, leaning in close to the Nidoran. “Hey there little guy, where’s your trainer?” The Pokémon, however, didn’t blurt out its own name, instead, talking full sentences. “Was kicking my door open really necessary? You’ve could’ve just came in.” The four, looking shocked, jumped in surprise, taking a step back. “You… you can talk?” Sandbar questioned the Nidoran. “Of course I can talk. Names Bill, I accidentally fused myself with a Pokémon while doing some tests on that machine over there,” Bill said, pointing at the machine. “Could one of you help me change back? Just use that PC over there to revert me back.” Sandbar, Ocellus and Yona looked at Silverstream, as she was the only one out of the four with fingers. Silverstream went over to the PC, clicking on some buttons, reverting Bill back to his normal self. Bill felt his non rough skin, sighing in relief. “Thank you! I was too short to reach my PC, and my hoof hands wouldn’t be of help too. Here, take this ticket.” Silverstream grabbed the ticket, looking at the name, ‘S.S Anne’. “This ticket can be used at Vermillion City, where you can take a cruise and take a break if you want to.” Silverstream smiled at Bill. “Thank you for the gift Bill!” “No problem, it’s the least I could do for helping me out.” Bill returned a friendly smile. “Speaking of Vermillion City,” Sandbar butted in. “Do you know where Vermillion City is by chance?” “Of course, it’s back at Cerulean City and you take route 5.” “Back at Cerulean City? But Misty told us to go over here, I wonder why?” “Beats me, but I’m glad you did. Otherwise I would’ve been that Nidoran for a long time. There’s a path on the other side of my cottage to get back. It’s shorter and you don’t have to run through that maze of a forest.” “Great! Thanks again!” Sandbar said, the four waving goodbye to Bill. “Take care you four!” Bill waved goodbye to the four. The four took the path that Bill mentioned, going back to Cerulean City, seeing if they can find more Pokémon along the way. The four finally got back to Cerulean City, going to the Pokémon center to heal up their Pokémon. As they waited, they heard some familiar voices. “Did you guys get lost?” The voice came from behind the four. The four turned around, seeing Gallus and Smolder behind them, smirking. “Gallus! Smolder! How are things going with Misty’s training?” Sandbar asked the two. “Actually,” Smolder smirked, showing off the cascade badge. “We beaten it!” “That’s great you two!” “Yeah, it was tough, but with some help from Ash, we were able to beat her!” “That’s great to hear, now we can travel together.” “Yeah,” Smolder yawned tiredly. “But I’m tired from all the training.” Sandbar also yawned tiredly. “Yeah, we’ve been fighting trainers all day, maybe we should stay here for the night and go to Vermillion City tomorrow.” “Sounds like a plan to me.” Gallus added. With everyone in agreement, the Young Six stayed at the Pokémon center to rest, waiting for a new day of adventure waiting for them. As the journey continues… //-------------------------------------------------------// All Aboard the S.S Anne! //-------------------------------------------------------// All Aboard the S.S Anne! The next morning, the Young Six woke up bright and early, ready to head to Vermillion City. After packing their belongings and healing their Pokémon, they left the Pokémon Center and began exploring Cerulean City, searching for the next route. However, after walking in circles for a while, Gallus noticed a house that looked like it had been broken into. “Hey guys, have you seen this building before?” Gallus asked curiously. The others turned to look, seeing the shattered windows and glass scattered across the ground. “No, I don’t think so,” Smolder replied. “But we were pretty focused on beating the gym, so maybe we just didn’t notice it.” The group stood in front of the damaged house, exchanging uncertain glances. After a few moments, Gallus took the lead, mustering up his courage as he gently pushed open the door. Inside, the place was a mess—books had been knocked off the shelves, a potted plant lay broken on the floor, and standing in the middle of the room was a lone Team Rocket member. The grunt’s eyes widened as he spotted the group. “Hey! What do you think you’re doing here?! Mind your own business, kids, or you’ll regret it!” He reached for a Pokéball. Silverstream stepped forward, determination in her eyes. I’m not sure if you’re the one responsible for this, but you just threatened my friends, and I won’t allow that. Wartortle, let’s go!” She tossed out her Pokéball, and Wartortle emerged, ready for battle. The grunt scoffed. “Alright, kid, you asked for it! Go, Machop!” He threw his Pokéball, and a small, light gray, muscular Pokémon appeared. Silverstream pulled out her Pokédex to scan it. Machop, the Superpower Pokémon. Loves to build its muscles. It trains in all styles of martial arts to become even stronger. “Machop, use Karate Chop!” the grunt commanded. Machop lunged at Wartortle, landing a powerful strike that made Wartortle stumble. Silverstream quickly reacted. “Wartortle, use Bubble Beam!” Wartortle shot out a stream of bubbles, hitting Machop, though it wasn’t enough to bring it down. The grunt clenched his fists. “Again, Machop!” Machop continued its relentless attacks, striking Wartortle multiple times. Silverstream bit her lip, she had to think of something fast. Then, an idea struck her. “Wartortle, block the attacks with your shell!” Wartortle turned away, presenting its sturdy shell. As Machop brought its hand down for another Karate Chop, a loud cracking sound echoed through the room, followed by a pained yelp. Machop stumbled backward, clutching its swollen hand and blowing on it desperately. “Quit fooling around, Machop!” the grunt barked, but Machop ignored him, still running in circles in pain. Silverstream seized the opportunity. “Quick, Wartortle, Water Gun!” Wartortle unleashed a jet of water, hitting Machop directly and knocking it out. The grunt growled, recalling his Pokémon and pulling out another Pokéball. “You think you’re tough? Go, Drowzee!” A bipedal, yellow Pokémon with a long snout emerged onto the battlefield. Silverstream scanned it with her Pokédex. Drowzee, the Hypnosis Pokémon. Puts enemies to sleep, then eats their dreams. Occasionally gets sick from eating bad dreams. “Drowzee, use Pound!” Drowzee charged forward, ready to strike. “Dodge, Wartortle, and use Bide!” Wartortle swiftly avoided the attack, a red aura surrounding its body as it stored energy. “Now, while it’s charging up, use Confusion!” Drowzee wiggled its arms up and down, attempting to confuse Wartortle, but it failed. “Again, Drowzee!” Drowzee repeated the move, but once again, it failed to confuse Wartortle. Silverstream pumped her fist. “Alright, Wartortle, let’s go!” Wartortle unleashed a bright beam of energy, striking Drowzee and knocking it out instantly. The grunt scoffed, recalling his Pokémon. “Defeated by a four-legged brat?!” he snarled, before dashing out the back door through a hole in the wall, leaving behind a TM. “Yeah, you better run!” Gallus shouted, raising his fist. He turned to Silverstream with a smirk. “Nice work, Silverstream.” “Thanks, Gallus!” Silverstream beamed before picking up the TM. “What’s this?” She inserted it into her Pokédex, revealing the move Dig. This move allows your Pokémon to dig underground, avoiding attacks before striking from below. Silverstream’s eyes lit up. “That sounds awesome!” “That does sound awesome!” Sandbar agreed. “Who can learn it?” Silverstream checked the compatibility list. “Looks like Charmander, Wartortle, Growlithe, Geodude, and Jigglypuff can.” The others looked at each other but shook their heads. “You defeated that Team Rocket grunt, so I think you should keep it,” Sandbar said with a smile. Silverstream nodded, deciding to teach Dig to Wartortle. Wartortle learned Dig! With that, the Young Six followed the grunt’s escape route, emerging into the bright daylight. As they traveled Route 5, the group encountered several Pokémon. Ocellus caught an Oddish, and with Ocellus’s help, Gallus managed to capture an Abra before it could Teleport away. After some more battles and exploring, the group stumbled upon a dark underground staircase leading into a tunnel. Gallus hesitated. “Are we sure we have to go down there?” Ocellus checked the map. “Yep, this is the route to Vermillion City.” “Then what are we waiting for? Yona wants to fight gym!” Yona declared, charging forward, only to trip on her own mane and tumble all the way down the stairs. The group gasped and rushed after her, only to hear a loud thump at the bottom. “Yona! Are you okay?!” Silverstream called out. Yona groaned but quickly got back up. “Yona is fine! It will take more than stairs to hurt Yona!” Everyone sighed in relief before noticing a woman standing nearby. The woman turned to them. “Excuse me, does anyone have a Nidoran Male?” The group looked at each other before Smolder stepped forward. “I do. Why?” The woman smiled. “I was wondering if you’d like to trade your Nidoran Male for my Nidoran Female.” “A Nidoran Female?” Smolder asked curiously, looking it up on her Pokédex. Nidoran (Female), the Poison Pin Pokémon. Although small, its venomous barbs render this POKéMON dangerous. Unlike the male counterparts, the female has smaller horns. “So, do you want to trade?” The woman asked Smolder. Smolder took out her Pokéball, looking at it thoughtfully. “…I don’t know. Spikoran was my first caught Pokémon…” The woman nodded understandingly. “I promise I’ll take good care of him.” Smolder hesitated, then handed over the Pokéball. “Alright, but please take care of Spikoran.” The trade was completed, and Smolder received Spot, the Nidoran Female in return. “Thank you! Please take care of her,” the woman said warmly. Smolder smiled faintly. Yeah… you too.” With that, the Young Six continued their journey, eager to reach Vermillion City. Along the way, they battled trainers, caught new Pokémon, and took in the sights of the region. Finally, they arrived in Vermillion City, home of the Thunder Badge. Their first stop was the Pokémon Center to heal up after their long trek. Once they were ready, they set off toward the Vermillion Gym. On their way, they ran into a fisherman who was excited to tell them all about his fishing stories. Most of the group either zoned out or looked bored—except for Silverstream, who hung on to every word, completely fascinated. After his long-winded stories, he handed each of them an Old Rod as a gift. As they continued exploring the city, Gallus wandered over to a trading post, browsing the available trades. Most of the Pokémon on offer didn’t interest him, but then, something caught his eye—a light brown duck-like Pokémon with a white underbelly, holding a leek. Curious, he pulled out his Pokédex: Farfetch’d, the Wild Duck Pokémon. The sprig of green onions it holds is its weapon. It is used much like a metal sword. A trader standing nearby noticed Gallus’s interest. “Ah, I see you’re eyeing Farfetch’d! If you have a Spearow, I’d be willing to trade.” Gallus pulled out his Spearow’s Pokéball, considering it for a moment. Then he grinned. “A Spearow, huh? Sure, you’ve got yourself a deal.” They exchanged Pokémon, and Gallus smirked, holding up his new Farfetch’d. “Pleasure doing business with you!” the trader said, waving as Gallus rejoined the group. Finally, the Young Six arrived at the Vermillion Gym, only to find their path blocked by a tree. Gallus growled in frustration. “I’ve had it with these stupid obstacles!” He slashed at the tree with his claws. Nothing happened. Smolder stepped up. “Move aside, I’ll just burn it down.” She inhaled deeply and blasted a stream of fire, but the tree remained completely untouched. Yona, now determined, stomped her mighty hooves into the tree. Still nothing. “Okay, what is this thing made of?!” Ocellus examined the tree closely. Just then, a stranger approached. “Trying to get into the Vermillion Gym, are you?” “Yeah,” Sandbar said. “Any idea how we get past this stupid tree?” The stranger nodded. “The only way through is by using Cut, a move that lets Pokémon slice through small trees like this one. You won’t get through with brute force. If you’re looking for Cut, the captain of the S.S. Anne has it.” He gestured toward a massive cruise ship docked nearby. “Awesome! Thanks for the tip!” Sandbar said, leading the group toward the ship. As they stood at the docks, looking up at the massive S.S. Anne, Ocellus gasped. “Look at the size of this thing!” “Yeah, great, it’s huge,” Gallus muttered. “But how are we supposed to find the captain in there? It’s going to take forever.” Sandbar thought for a moment, then suggested, “We’ll split into two groups. Gallus, Silverstream, and Yona go left, while Ocellus, Smolder, and I go right. We’ll meet back here once we find him.” Everyone nodded and set off. Along the way, they battled trainers on the ship, earning experience and growing stronger. After some time, they finally reached the captain’s quarters. Just as they were about to knock on the door, a familiar voice called out behind them. “Well, well, trying to get Cut, huh?” They turned to see Ace, standing confidently with his Eevee at his side. “Ace!” Silverstream said excitedly. “What are you doing here?” “Checking out the S.S. Anne,” Ace replied. “Figured there might be some strong trainers on board.” He smirked. “And I just happened to spot you guys. Since we’re here, how about a rematch?” Silverstream giggled. “Oh, you’re on!” Gallus shot her a confused look. “Wait, you battled Ace already?” Silverstream nodded proudly. “Yep, and I won!” Gallus stiffened. “Wait, what?! You already beat him?! Okay, no way I’m letting that slide, I want my own rematch!” Ace grinned. “I like your energy. Let’s see if you’ve gotten any stronger.” He pulled out a Pokéball. “Go, Ivysaur!” Gallus smirked. “A Ivysaur, huh? Ha! Growlithe, let’s go!” Growlithe appeared, barking confidently at its opponent. Ace pointed forward. “Ivysaur, Vine Whip!” Ivysaur lashed out its vines, striking Growlithe. Gallus reacted quickly. “Growlithe, Bite the vines!” Growlithe snapped its jaws around Ivysaur’s vines, forcing it to retract them. Ace called out, “Ivysaur, Tackle!” Gallus countered, “Growlithe, Bite again!” The two Pokémon charged at each other, clashing in a fierce exchange of attacks. After several more powerful blows, Growlithe emerged victorious. Gallus grinned. “Yes! Let’s go, Growlithe!” Ace smirked. “Not bad. But don’t get cocky. Poliwag, let’s go!” Ace threw his next Pokéball, revealing a small tadpole-like Pokémon with a swirling pattern on its belly. Gallus checked his Pokédex: Poliwag, the Tadpole Pokémon. Its newly grown legs prevent it from running. It prefers swimming over walking. Gallus recalled Growlithe and sent out his newest Pokémon. “Dux, let’s go!” His Farfetch’d landed on the battlefield, twirling its leek like a sword. Ace smirked. “A Farfetch’d, huh? That’s a rare one. Let’s see how you use it. Poliwag, Bubble!” Poliwag fired a stream of bubbles, but Farfetch’d shook it off. “Dux, Peck!” Gallus commanded. Farfetch’d dove forward, aiming its sharp beak at Poliwag. But Ace was ready. “Hypnosis!” Poliwag’s spiral pattern began to glow, and Farfetch’d suddenly slowed before collapsing asleep. Gallus’s eyes widened. “Oh, come on! Wake up, Dux!” Poliwag didn’t wait. It continued blasting Farfetch’d with Bubble, eventually knocking it out. Gallus groaned. “Ugh… Alright, Blink, let’s go!” His Abra hovered onto the field. Ace smirked. “You do realize Abra only knows one move, right?” Gallus smirked. “Yep! But let’s make this interesting. Blink, Teleport!” Abra began teleporting around the battlefield, dodging attacks—but not fighting back. Eventually, Poliwag landed a hit, knocking Abra out. Gallus sighed in defeat. “I… forfeit.” Ace looked at him. “Losing isn’t failure. It’s an opportunity to get stronger.” Gallus took a deep breath and nodded. “Yeah… I’ll train harder. Next time, I will beat you.” Ace grinned. “That’s the spirit.” The five waved goodbye to Ace, except for Gallus, who remained standing there, staring at the ground. Sandbar walked over, concern written on his face. “You okay, Gallus?” Gallus shrugged, not meeting his gaze. “Yeah, I’m fine. Come on, let’s just get this stupid move and fight that gym.” The others exchanged worried glances but decided to move forward, opening the door to the captain’s quarters. As they stepped inside, the captain, a cheerful, bearded man, greeted them with a smile. “Ahoy, trainers! What can I do for ye today?” “We’re here for the move Cut. Someone told us you have it,” Sandbar explained. “Ah, yes, I do,” the captain nodded. “But I’ve got a bit of a problem—my back’s been killing me, and I can’t bend down to reach it in the lower cabinet. A good back rub would fix me right up!” The six stared at each other, hesitating. Yona, never one to back down from a challenge, stepped forward. “Yona will help!”She placed her hooves on the captain’s back and—CRACK! The captain groaned, then let out a relieved sigh. “Ahhh… that’s much better! Thank ye kindly!” He handed over the HM. “Here you are—use it well.” The group thanked him before leaving the ship. As they stepped onto the dock, they spotted Ash, Brock, and Misty approaching. Gallus perked up. “Ash, buddy! How’s it going?” Ash grinned. “It’s going great! Check this out!”He held up a Thunder Badge, which resembled a sunburst or flower. “I beat Lt. Surge!” “Wow, that’s awesome!” Silverstream beamed. Then Gallus tilted his head. “Wait… how did you get into the gym? There’s a big tree blocking the entrance.” Ash blinked. “A tree? Oh… that tree. We just walked around it.” The Young Six collectively faceplanted. “… We could have just walked around it?” Smolder muttered. Ash chuckled. “Yeah, it wasn’t that hard.” Sandbar groaned. “Well, that’s embarrassing.” Ash shrugged. “Anyway, are you guys here to board the S.S. Anne too?” “No,” Sandbar replied. “We just needed Cut from the captain so we could get into the Vermillion Gym.” Ash nodded. “Oh, gotcha. We actually got our tickets from those two.” He gestured toward a pair of oddly familiar figures in the distance. Yona and Silverstream squinted. “Wait… they look like—“ “Wanna join us for the Pokémon Trainer Party onboard?” Ash asked. Silverstream shook her head. “Nah, we already battled a bunch of trainers here. We’re heading to the gym now.” Ash grinned. “Your loss! Alright, guys—let’s go!” He ran toward the ship, with Misty and Brock following close behind. The Young Six turned back toward the gym, finally ready to claim their next badge. With the HM in hand, they cut down the tree blocking their way and stood before the entrance. Sandbar looked at his friends, determination in his eyes. “Alright, everypony—ready?” “Ready!” the others replied in unison. With that, the Young Six stepped inside, prepared to take on their next challenge. As the journey continues…
