Sorry it took so long. Holidays kept me busy.
But hopefully it was worth the wait...as well as a few surprises.

Spot of Virus part 2

The weapons were all pointed at the mysterious assailant, who aimed his weapon at Leon, who kept still, but held his weapon.

“Drop the weapon, now!!” said Leo.

“You don’t stand a chance here, kid.” Said the person, “You’re more likely to get yourselves killed.”

The stranger slowly looked at Sherry, who tensed as she looked frightened, knowing full well who it is.

“Isn’t that right…Miss Berkin?” asked the stranger.

Sherry’s hands shook as she stared at the stranger, which confused the others. The President however…

“Stand down, Hunk.” Said the President, “They’re here to help.”

Hunk stared at the President for a moment, before lowering his weapon and looked at him.

“Apologies Mr. President.” Said Hunk. “Can’t be too careful these days.”

Everyone else were still confused, but they lowered their guard, including Sherry, although more slowly.

“You know him, Mr. President?” asked Helena.

Leon looked at him, and couldn’t shake the feeling he knows him from somewhere. “Do I know you?”

“I do.”

They looked at Sherry, for even though she’s scared, she still glared at him.

“His name is Hunk,” said Sherry, “but it’s an abbreviation for Human Unit Never Killed.”

“Never, killed?” said Sour Sweet surprised.

“Why do they call you that?” asked Adagio.

“Cause sweetheart, nobody ever came close into killing me.” Said Hunk, “Whether crazed chainsaw ladies, zombies, not even Birkin could kill me.”

“You know Birkin?” asked Sunset in confusion. But the moment she touched his arm, she read his mind for a moment.

After letting go, she gasped. Then got angry, before kicking him at the back of the leg, making him stand on his knees, before she grabbed her Kunai and held it by the neck, which shocked the others.

“Sunset, stop!!” said April.

“What’s wrong?!” asked Shinigami.

“He works for Umbrella!!” said Sunset, “He’s one of their top agents.”

“Former, agent.” Said Hunk.

This surprised everyone. But the President signaled them to stand down.

“At ease, he’s telling the truth.” Said the President, “And he works for me.”

This surprised everyone, even Sherry as they looked at the President. Sunset wasn’t sure, but one look from April, she nodded her head, indicating that they’re telling the truth. Reluctantly, she released Hunk, allowing him to get up and dusted himself.

“Getting held down by a little girl with knives,” said Hunk before picking up his weapon, “That’ll be embarrassing on my resume.”

“Don’t tempt me.” Said Sunset whilst glaring at him.

“What are we looking at?” asked the President.

“Sir, we did a sweep of the entire complex.” Said Hunk, “Turns out half the parliament were still inside. Somehow all of them were infected with the new Virus strands.”

He turned to the fallen agents, “The same strand that turned those four into them.”

“How did anyone sneak the virus to London?” asked Helena.

“According to our Intel,” said Hunk, “Someone had snuck their way into parliament with a fake identity in order to gain some partial political power. In doing so, they snuck the virus strands inside, including a few victims that were used as test subjects.”

“Who would be crazy enough to do that?” asked Sherry.

“If I know, I’d tell you.” Said Hunk, “Whoever sent that person here covered their tracks the moment they arrived. My team on the other hand has a lead.”

“And who is this team?” asked Leo.

“They also worked with Umbrella once,” said Hunk, “But then Umbrella ended up betraying them and left them for dead. And before I left Raccoon City, I took them with me.”

“Where have you been since then?” asked Sour Sweet in suspicion.

“That’s classified.”

They turned to the President.

“The Previous President knew about their existence, but he chose to keep it quiet and not say anything. But when I became Vice-President, I read the files and tracked them down. And in turn, I gave them work to help shut down any other threats that Umbrella still have in place.”

“And what Umbrella didn’t know, was that I had secretly learnt from them in case they’d stab me in the back.” Said Hunk. “After all, I do know the meaning of offering one hand but arming the other.”

“Smart thinking.” Said Adagio.

“Then let’s go find them.” Said the President before moving, until Hunk stopped him.

“No can do, Mr. President.” Said Hunk, “Your detail got totaled and you were this close into turning yourself into one of those freaks out there.”

“I’m not just sitting here and doing nothing.” Demanded the President, “Not just my country, but every country all over the world have suffered because of the Viruses. I’m going to help my fellow man defend our people’s future, whether you like it or not.”

Hunk was silent for a few moments, but sighed and said, “Fine, but we’re getting you proper protection. No way you’re going out like this; you’ll give yourself away.”

Leo then had an idea, remembering something back home. “Wait here, I’ll be right back.”

Leo pulled out a portable portal projector and opened a portal, allowing him to travel through it. Much to everyone’s confusion. Moments later, Leo came back, bearing a duffle bag, containing the BSAA’s logo on it.

“Good thing the BSAA troops are still back home.” Said Leo before giving it to the President. “I told them back at Pharma Corporation of the situation, and the Delta Force unit gave you a spare uniform, as well as some weapons.”

“Good.” Said the President before taking the bag, “I used to be a Delta. Better suit up.”

The President went inside. After a few minutes, he came out, dressed in a Commander uniform. Thankfully, it also came with a helmet, goggles, and a mask, so no one could see who he is. He was also bearing an M250 rifle and dual pistols on both sides.

“Uniform looks good on you, sir.” Said Leon.

“Just like old times.” Said the President.

“You were in the military?” asked Adagio in confusion.

“That’s right,” said the President, “I wanted to make a difference, but then I went to politics, figured I could do better helping others from there.”

They heard gunfire coming from the other side of the building.

“Must be my team.” Said Hunk.

“Are they fighting any undead?!” said Pinkie Pie.

April sensed something afar. “No, not likely.” Said April, “They’re chasing about three different people down the streets. And from the sound of things, they have them cornered.”

“Then we’d better get to them before they escape.” Said Hunk.

“Agreed, let’s move.” Said Leon before all of them ran towards the direction where Hunk’s team is located.

From outside of the building our heroes hid, a female with a mask over her mouth had a syringe of sorts, placed inside the pinned down zombie’s mouth, extracting a sample of it as she grunted. However, unknown to her five individuals were running away from the scene, being chased down by two operatives.

“No time for samples, Four Eyes!!” shouted the female, clearly the leader.

The five individuals ran around the corner, the second operative fired but missed. He cursed under his breath, with the lead female ordering him to help give chase. They continued to chase the five individuals down, until the lead female contacted someone.

“Beltway, cut them off!!”

The person, known as Beltway, planted what appeared to be a concussion bomb of sorts, and set off a laser trap.

“On it Lupo,” said Beltway before chuckling, “Night-night.”

The leader, known as Lupo, contacted another, “Specter, incapacitate them!!”

From atop the rooftops, the operative, known as Specter, ran after the individuals and tried to shoot them at the same time. He stopped as what appeared to be his goggles, immediately focused on two targets, allowing him to shoot both of them by their legs. The next two spotted their comrades down.

Until they ran past a vehicle, the same one Beltway planted a trap, blew up and knocked the two of them out. The fifth was shocked to see his companions were taken down, then ended up avoiding another operative’s attack, and ran to a narrow passage way. The female operative, along with Lupo and the second operative, ran after the fifth one, attempting to corner him at the same time.

The moment they arrived; they were instantly met with hordes of infected and were under attacked. They stood their ground and hit them at the precise spots where they would be taken down, never missing their mark. Lupo noticed the fifth assailant was trying to escape.

“There’s the target.” Said Lupo.

The fifth smirked and said, “You’ll never catch…”

But he was immediately cut off when the door opened, revealing to be Hunk, and punched his lights out, making him collapse at the same time. Hunk walked over to the man, with the President and the others in tow and watching him.

“Whoa, who is this?” asked April.

“No doubt one of the targets.” Said Hunk.

They turned around and saw the Operatives bringing in the rest of the prisoners. Sherry recognized them and instantly hid behind Leon, to which the latter shielded, recognizing them too. The Operatives noticed the individuals with Hunk.

“Sir, who are they?” asked the sixth Operative.

“Relax, these are the individuals who helped save the President.” Said Hunk.

“Hunk, who’s this?” asked Leo.

“This is my team,” said Hunk before looking at them, “Report.”

One by one, Hunk’s team stepped forward.

“Name’s Four Eyes. At your service.”

“Specter here, all set.”

“My name is Bertha, reporting for duty.”

“Name’s Beltway, good to meet the little runts.”

“Vector here, good to meet you kids.”

“My name is Lupo, Squad Leader of Delta Team.”

Leon recognized them, and said, “You’ve gotta be kidding me.”

The six noticed Leon and Sherry standing there.

“Well, Sunnova gun,” said Beltway, “Never thought I’d see Birkin’s kid again.”

“Same goes for this one.” Said Four Eyes, pointing at Leon.

“Last time we saw one another, you tried to stop me, Claire, and Sherry from leaving Raccoon city.” Said Leon.

“That was before Umbrella stabbed us in the back.” Said Vector.

“Still, I’m surprised the lot of you are still alive after all this time.” Said Leon. “Last time I saw you lot, you said you were trying to gut Umbrella from the inside out.”

“We tried.” Said Bertha, “But Umbrella can be very…stubborn, at best.”

“But that ended when Umbrella shut down.” Said Hunk. “Congress voted to suspend Umbrella from the USA’s right to do business and federalized its assets. But even though they’re shut down, their research somehow scattered all over the world.”

“We also found out that somehow Umbrella created a network in order to sell their research to the highest bidder, and most of their operatives still try to cause trouble.” Said Lupe.

“Back to the topic at hand,” said Leon, “You said you have any leads?”

“We do,” said Vector, “These five are responsible for bringing whoever brought the virus here.”

Beltway walked over to them and crossed his arms. “Now then…who’s ready to talk.”

“Don’t worry,” reassured Sunset when she walked past him, “I have a better way.”

Sunset walked over to the five and placed both her hands onto one of them. Her eyes glowed, which surprised those who didn’t know.

“What’s she doing?” asked Sherry.

“She’s reading their minds,” said Leo, “She has the ability to read their minds to see what they’re hiding.”

“Same with April.” Said Pinkie when she pointed at the girl, reading the second one.

Once they were done, they walked over to the final one.

“The first four don’t know anything.” Said Sunset, “But this one.”

The moment she touched the fifth one’s head, that’s when she got her answers. As she read their minds. They saw the person was from within the confines of his ship, not revealing his face. He instructed them to do what needs to be done so that they can accomplish their goal. And at the same time, showed pictures of the President, detailing his route to Buckingham Palace. The man presented the file to the fifth man, and he accepted it. At the same time, he handed him a case of the virus in gas form, as well as infecting a few if need be. Once she was done, she motioned the others to walk over, but signaled them to try and knock them out, which Hunk did. Once they were done.

“What did you find out?” asked Leon.

“Turns out they were taking orders from someone that hid himself in the shadows.” Said Sunset, “He knew of the President’s detail and organized an attack with the mutated zombies.”

“That would explain why my convoy was attacked.” Said the President.

“What else did you find out?” asked Sherry.

“He also handed him a case filled with the virus, and was able to find a way to put it in gas form.” Said Sunset, “From the looks of it, they were able to put it in some sort of guns that can shoot canisters.”

“I know those types of guns.” Said Four Eyes, “Law Enforcements use them to shoot tear gas in the event to stop riots. If they somehow use them in public places.”

“We could have another epidemic in London.” Said Vector.

“From what we’ve seen, they only focused on an entire district.” Said Lupo.

“Only enough to attack the President’s convoy.” Said Sherry, “If they really had hit an entire district, then all of London would’ve fallen by then.”

“If we want more info, we gotta find out where the assailant is.” Said Bentley.

“You, bacon haired girl.” Said Bertha.

“Excuse me?” said Sunset, feeling insulted.

“Do you happen to know where this man exactly was?” asked Bertha.

“Er, yeah.” Said Sunset, trying to remember, “There was a spot in London where plenty of boats go by. Most of them go under a lot of bridges.”

“The River Thames.” Said Leon.

“Only spot on London where plenty of boats pass by.” Said Helena.

“Makes sense.” Said Specter, “The River Thames is a hiding spot for those who want to remain a secret.”

“What building are they on?” asked Hunk.

That’s when Sunset clicked, and remembered.

“He wasn’t from a building; he was in a large boat.” Said Sunset, “It’s registered known as the Irredeemable.”

“I know that ship,” said Hunk, “Before Umbrella shut down, it was used as one of its recon ships and a mobile headquarters.”

“Then that’s where we’ll go.” Said Leon.

“Wait, we need to tell the rest of the detail that the President is still alive.” Said Sherry.

“We can’t.”

They looked at Leo, who voiced his disagreement.

“What do you mean, we can’t?” asked Helena.

“What he means is, if everyone knew the President was alive, they would go after him.”

Everyone was startled and looked around, wondering who that voice was.

“Who’s there?!”

“Oh, no.” said Hunk, “I know who that is.”

Then a chuckle was heard, which revealed to be a woman. They heard it around the corner and slowly walked around, revealing herself. She was wearing black boots, black pants, with a belt containing her weapons and gadgets, red skirt that she wears over her pants. Red shirt with sleeves reaching over her elbows, and wearing her gun behind her back.

“Good to know you still remember me.” Said the woman.

“Ada?!” said a surprised Leon.

“Wait, you know her?” said Leo.

“In a matter of speaking.” Said Leon.

“Oh, don’t be like that, Leon.” Said Ada before walking over to him, “After all, I did help you out on numerous occasions.”

“And stole the sample when I tried to rescue the President’s daughter.” Said Leon.

“She always was the tenacious one.” Said Hunk.

“You know me Hunk,” said Ada Wong, “Always playing close to the vest.”

“Wait, you know her?” said a confused April.

“We all do,” said Lupe before motioning to Ada, “She used to be one of Umbrella’s top agents. Before she betrayed them and became a mercenary to the highest bidder.”

“Company onetime asked us to hunt her down when they heard she was in the city.” Said Vector.

“Oh, don’t be like that.” Said Ada, “After all, I did help rescue all of you, including Hunk over here.”

“Wish you’d left me there.” Said Hunk.

“Okay, enough of this,” said Helena, “What do you mean someone is after the president.”

“My employer heard that the President was in danger of a Bio-Terror attack, including London,” said Ada, “He sent me over to protect him from the shadows. As well as hunt down the ones responsible for bringing the virus unnoticed. And to confirm our young lady friend here, she speaks the truth.”

She gave them the files and showed them the picture of the ship.

“This ship was once drydocked by Umbrella years ago, because the funding for the ship ran out before they even had a chance to test it.”

“How do you know so much about it?” asked Sour Sweet.

“Secrets and espionage is one of my trade secrets.” Said Ada. “And during that time, Umbrella attempted to be in charge of making weapons and vehicles too, before more funding was moved for different projects. And I know the one thing that no one else in Umbrella knows.”

“And that being?” asked Shinigami.

“I happen to have its location and tracker.” Said Ada whilst showing the pad.

“And you’re just so happening to give it to us on your own free will?” asked Leo skeptically.

“But of course,” said Ada, “After all, it’s bad for business for people like them to wander around.”

Suddenly the tracker was swiped from her, which was none other than Hunk.

“Enough of your games, Ada.” Said Hunk, “Why are you really here?”

“To protect the Queen of course.” Said Ada, “I picked up from the dark chatter that she and her royal family are to be targets for the virus too, once the President arrives.”

This shocks half the group as they looked at one another.

“The Queen is also being targeted?” asked Leon.

“Of course,” said Ada, “After all, it’s because of her, MI6 had discovered who is responsible for bringing the virus to this country’s doorstep.”

“Then we need to save her at all costs.” Said the President.

“Oh, don’t worry, I’ll…” Ada replied before her phone cut her off, allowing her to answer.

“Yes?” said Ada. After listening, she frowned and said, “I see. Thank you for the information.”

She hung up the phone, this time a frustrated look.

“Ada?” asked Leon.

“Looks like I’m going with you after all.” Said Ada.

“What’s the word?” said Hunk.

“Bad news, I’m afraid.” Said Ada, “Somehow the said person is no longer in the river, but heading straight for Buckingham palace, accompanied by ten trucks.”

“Ten to one chance those trucks are filled to the brim with BOW’s.” said Beltway.

“Then we’d better get going, and fast.” Said Leo.

“Lead the way.” Said Ada as all of them were running towards the vehicles parked up front the parliament building.

From Buckingham palace, the guards stationed there were guarding the palace. That was, until they heard sirens.

Looking to their right, they saw many law enforcement vehicles driving towards their location. This allowed all of them to park in a line formation, which enabled them to climb out. As half of Law Enforcement and the British Special Forces climbed out and were stationed at the entrance.

The London Guard Captain saw this and walked up to the Commander.

“What the devil is going on?!” said the Captain.

“The Queen is in danger,” said the Commander, “We received word that terrorists with bio-weapons are heading this way, to the palace itself!! The Queen and the royal family must be taken to safety immediately!!”

The Captain turned to the guards and shouted, “Lock the palace down!! Secure the royal family!!”

The Guards immediately scrambled and ran inside to secure the queen.

“Captain, let us inside to help.” Said the Commander, “We’ll be able to guard the Queen from the inside!!”

“Very well, follow us!!” said the Captain of the Guard.

“Captain,” said the Commander, allowing the British Captain to come forth, “Stay with the men and secure the perimeter!!”

“Yes sir!!” said the Captain as he and half of law enforcement and the British Special Forces stayed outside, whilst the rest ran inside to secure the palace.

From inside, the Captain of the guard came in with the escort, surprising the Queen and the royal family.

“Your majesty, the palace is about to be attacked, we must take you to safety!!” said the Captain.

Startled, the Queen immediately stood up as she and the royal family followed the guards to the safehouse within the palace.

From outside, everyone continued to hold their ground, waiting for the inevitable. But then…

“We have trucks incoming!!” shouted one of the soldiers.

Up ahead, they saw at least eleven trucks coming in and soon parked close by, allowing them to aim their weapons at them.

“Drivers of those lorries!!” shouted the Captain via megaphone, “You are entering a restricted area!! Disperse immediately, or we will open fire!!”

The trucks soon stopped, all of them separate, but in line formation. Law Enforcement were holding their ground, armed to the teeth, keeping an eye on the trucks. They saw the back of them opening one by one.

“Hold your fire, men!!” said the Captain, “Do not fire unless engaged!!”

Things continued to be quiet, until all of them heard loud thuds on top of the roof. And on them, were lickers, all of them screeching.

“Open fire!!” shouted the Captain, before the lickers themselves charged towards the guards.

About a mile away, driving with great speed with the military convoy vehicles, the ninjas, the zombie fighters, along with the remnants of the military escort that could still fight, all made their way towards Buckingham palace with great speed whilst avoiding traffic at the same time.

Hunk was busy listening over the radio, and used it to contact the others.

“Just got word,” said Hunk, “The terrorists have launched an attack. Mostly lickers. Along with something big.”

“Big?” asked Leonardo.

“How big are we talking?” asked Sunset.

“No idea.” Said Hunk, “But if it is what I think it is, then we’re all screwed.”

“What you mean?” asked Four Eyes.

“You know who I’m talking about,” said Hunk, “The same ones that you and the rest of the team encountered a while back near one of the gas stations.”

This caused Lupo and her squad to look at one another, knowing full well what he was talking about.

Pinkie squinted her eyes when she saw something. She instantly got out of the car and stood on the roof and observed it as if she was a Barralman on a ship, which startled some of them.

“You’re friend here is quite interesting.” Said Ada Wong.

“She may be random, but she helped save our skins a few occasions.” Said Shinigami.

Pinkie widened her eyes, before pointing ahead and shouted, “Queen’s palace, up ahead!!”

They looked ahead, but to their shock, there was at least a legion of zombies heading towards the palace, whilst half of the blockade fell and the remaining ones held their positions.

“We’d better make haste!!” said Leo.

Leon picked up the radio and contacted the rest of the convoy. “Captain, we’ve got infected about to swarm the palace, we need to get inside, immediately!!”

“Roger that, we’ll plough them through!!” said the Captain.

Pinkie climbed back inside as everyone drove with great speed. As the vehicles got past the zombies, the gunners did the work taking down some as well, before driving through the gate. The remaining law enforcement and British special forces were surprised, especially since the vehicles began to line up.

As the gunners continued to fire, the remaining escort troops climbed out and took defensive positions firing at the infected. Leon and the others made their way to the ones near the entrance.

“Captain, where’s the Queen?!” said Leon.

“She’s holed up inside with her escort and royal family!!” said the police captain, “We need to get inside and ensure they’re safe! We already have more infected inside!!”

“Then we’d better get going.” Said the President as all of them entered inside.

As they moved through the palace, they continued to scan every room, trying to find the Queen’s bunker.

“Where’s the bunker located?” asked Sunset.

“Technically, it’s an air-raid shelter.” Said Four Eyes.

“Not the point,” said Hunk, “It’s located behind a hidden door in the housemaid’s basement sitting room.’

“Thankfully it’s not far from here.” Said Lupo.

“Given the amount of undead and fallen security, we don’t have much time.” Said Leon as all of them noticed the many Lickers and infected.

They soon stopped near one of the larger doors. Leon motioned everyone to stand in position on both sides of the door. Hunk placed an explosive on the door and counted down from three. When he reached zero, they shielded themselves, allowing the doors to blow itself open. They looked inside, and it looked like a throne room of sorts. But dark.

“Stay here,” said Hunk, “My team and I will go first, making sure it’s all clear.”

“Got it.” Said Leon, “We’ll cover you from here.”

Hunk motioned his team to follow him as all of them headed inside, but chose to stay together as a group, not daring to separate from one another. They looked around, and everything was quiet. April on the other hand, felt something very off.

“Guys, it’s a trap.” Said April.

Hunk and the others stopped and looked at her.

“How sure are you?” asked Beltway.

April looked to the President’s side, and saw a flare. She grabbed it, opened it, and tossed to towards the air. That’s what allowed them to see it. Hordes of zombies, who somehow got inside as they slowly looked at Hunk and the others and got up, moving towards them.

“Circle formation.” Said Hunk, allowing them to do that. “Don’t miss you mark. Take them down.”

Then they fired onto the attacking zombies as all of them never missed their mark and making sure that none of them moved. Leo and the others watched in disbelief when they saw how Hunk and his team stood their ground and continued to fire around on all corners.

“Scatter, take down what you can.” Said Hunk before all of them scattered.

Hunk pulled out his knife and performed close quarters combat. He roundhouse kicked one undead, used his knife to take one down, then somersaulted over one zombie before kicking it away.

Lupo stood her ground as she pulled out her two pistols to take down a few, before Vector vaulted over her and performed takedown maneuvers using his kicking skills. Beltway used his brute strength to wrestle a few of them, especially pulling out a grenade, planted into the zombie’s mouth and pushed it away, allowing the grenade to take down a few more.

Four Eyes used her acrobatic skills to take down a few more zombies, with Bertha using her melee weapon to strike down a few. Specter on the other hand uses his weapon as a weapon to deflect and bash against the undead whilst taking down a few at the same time.

The last of the zombies were taken down, allowing them some room to breathe. They regrouped with the others as they stepped through.

“Wow.” Said Leo in disbelief, “How do you do that?”

“Skills for one.” Said Hunk. “Other times, you have to know when to take down your targets before they can blink.”

“How amusing.”

Everyone turned to the doorway and aimed their weapons at the door.

To their shock, they saw the queen was taken hostage by an unknown assailant as he held a pistol towards her head.

“To think the Grim reaper of death is working for lowly commoners.” Said the man. “You and your team used to be one of Umbrella’s best operatives.”

“We may have been the best,” said Beltway, “But all of them had lousy benefits.”

“Plus, all of them stabbed us in the back ever since the virus outbreak.” Said Vector.

“Pity, all of you had one job, but you still chose to side with them,” said the man, “Especially since the day you let the monster’s daughter be among you.”

“What?” said Sherry in disbelief.

“You’re pretty confident in yourself, aren’t you?” said Ada before she smirked, “Long time no see…Frederic.”

The man slowly moved forward and revealed himself.

“You.” Said Leon before aiming his pistol at him.

“Wait,” said Sunset, “You’re Frederic Downing, the man responsible for the Virus outbreak at that airport.”

“Airport?” said the Queen.

“Yeah, because he works for Umbrella Corporation.” Said Pinkie Pie, “You know, the ones responsible for Raccoon City.”

“What?” said the Queen in outrage before slightly looking at him, “You lying snake. You said you were here as an advisor.”

“An advise that I wished you’d follow.” Said Frederic as he threatened the Queen.

“Still the same weasel as before, Frederic.” Said Ada.

“Takes one to know one, Ada.” Said Frederic.

“And as I told you before, I don’t work for Umbrella, not since I helped Leon save the last President’s daughter.” Said Ada.

“And how could you do this?!” shouted Sunset, “All those innocents in Raccoon city!! You and Umbrella destroyed all those innocent lives, just to make money?!”

“Nobody is innocent, young lady.” Said Frederic, “When it comes to our competitors, we make sure we are on top. For if we are not, then where would Umbrella be?”

Suddenly a phone went off, surprising everyone. The ringing came from Frederic, who then pressed the side of his ear phone.

“Yes, what is it?” demanded Frederic.

“Frederic, Downing.”

This shocked Frederic, for he recognize the voice anywhere. Ada, realizing Frederic was calling someone, used a device on her own to listen over.

“Sir.” Said a frightful Downing, “I…”

“You’ve been busy since we last called.” Said the caller.

“But sir, you understand…” said Frederic before was cut off.

“Oh, I understand alright,” said the caller, “I understand you were supposed to keep a low profile and not jeopardize our operations. Both in Harvardville, and now in the United Kingdom. But instead, you chose to expose yourself, before the execution of the plan.”

“I did what Umbrella instructed me to do ever since I came to America!!” shouted Frederic, “You were the one who went mad, after what you did in Africa!!”

“Sometimes sacrifices come for the greater good.” Said the caller.

“You’re so called greater good meant sacrificing the world so that only the rich and powerful could live.” Said Frederic.

“Which is a pity you do not share its vision.” Said the caller. “And I apologize for this Frederic, I really do.”

Frederic was so focused on the call, he failed to notice a dark individual coming from the darkness, which shocked the others.

“But your partnership, is terminated.”

Suddenly, Frederic was grabbed from behind and lifted by a large being, before he was violently tossed away, causing some of the building rubble to collapse onto Frederic. When the large being walked into the light, it revealed itself.

“You’ve got to be kidding me.” Said Lupo.

“What is that?!” said the ninjas.

“A T-103 Tyrant.” Said Ada before Hunk filled them in.

“When half the population in Raccoon City turned into infected zombies, the T103 Tyrants were sent to wipe out key populace. But sometimes it can’t tell the difference between friend or foe, they kill anything that’s in their path, friendly or not.”

“And I speak from experience,” said Leon before aiming his pistol, “I bumped into one of those things a while back when we were looking for survivors and Sherry.”

“No worries,” said Pinkie Pie, “As long as there’s only one we’ll be….”

Suddenly from out of nowhere, two more arrived, appearing as a trio, waiting for their command. Suddenly half the folks gave Pinkie a look.

“You just had to say something, didn’t you?” asked Beltway.

“Whoopsie.” Said Pinkie Pie sheepishly.

“Nevermind that.” Said Hunk, “We need to take those things down before they get lose on the city.”

“We need to protect the Queen too.” Said the President.

“I can take care of that,” said Ada before looking at the others, “Think you lot can cover me until I help her?”

“We’ll cover you.” Said Leon.

“Take them down!!” shouted Leo as he, Sunset, Pinkie Pie, April, Shinigami, Adagio, and Sour Sweet charged towards the Tyrants.

“Cover fire!!” shouted Hunk before he and his team open fired.

The Tyrants stood there as they covered their faces with their arms to protect themselves from the bullets. As the Ninjas were close enough, they were able to kick them away and tried their best to keep in the fight. Seeing an opening, Ada stopped near the queen and said, “Right this way your majesty.”

Ada grabbed the queen and used her grapple gun to pull her and tried to get her to safety. She landed next to Leon and the group whilst they continued to lay cover fire.

The first Tyrant attempted to strike the first group of Ninjas, but Leonardo, Sunset, and Pinkie Pie were able to dodge its attack. Leo sliced from the back whilst Sunset stabbed, only for the Tyrant to grab Sunset and threw her against Leo.

“Surprise!!” shouted Pinkie as she jumped up and threw her exploding sprinkles, disorienting the monster at the same time.

April, Shinigami, Adagio, and Sour Sweet tried to attack the second. April used her psychic abilities to blast it away, with Sour Sweet trying to chain it from behind, which allowed Shinigami and Adagio to jump from behind to strike it down, only for it to grab them and threw them aside, whilst he grabbed the chain and pulled Sour Sweet to it, but was thankfully saved by April before the Tyrant had a chance to grab her.

Lupo and her team attempted to try and take down the third. They did their best to outmaneuver it, only for the Tyrant to grab Vector and tossed him against Lupo, making them crash against the wall. They were able to recover and slowly sat up.

“I forgot what a pain those things are.” Said Vector.

“No kidding.” replied Lupo.

Hunk continued to shoot from afar, only for him to reload. He then noticed Leon’s ammo pouch, and recognized the markings. He instantly went over and opened it.

“What are you doing?!” said Leon.

Hunk reloaded his weapon before looking at Leon, “Evening the odds.”

He charged towards the third Tyrant with an athlete’s speed. The Tyrant noticed Hunk and was about to strike, only for Hunk to slide onto the ground and grab onto its arm, and vault itself over to its back, allowing him to land onto the Tyrant’s back and aimed down the sight.

Hunk fired onto the Tyrant until it was able to penetrate its hard shell, instantly taking it out in the process. The Tyrant fell over, allowing Hunk to jump off before landing close to his team.

Leon came over and looked at the fallen Tyrant.

“How did you do that?” asked Leon.

Hunk took out the cartridge and showed the bullet type.

“High-explosive incendiary/armor-piercing ammunition.” Said Hunk, “Only thing that could take down these monsters.”

“And you just so happen to know it was in the ammo pouch?” asked Leon with suspicion.

Hunk looked at the pouch, then looked at Leon. “Let’s just say, I recognize the insignia on that pouch. I owe him big time.”

Leon was confused by this, but noticed everyone is in trouble.

“We’ll talk about this later,” said Leon, “Right now we need to take them out.”

Leo and the others had a hard time trying to take them out, until he looked at his arrows. He took one out and could see there are explosives on them.

“Adagio, Sour Sweet, get your arrows ready!!” said Leo.

The three of them got up and pulled out their arrows, arming them with their bows.

“Take them down!!”

Leo, Adagio, and Sour Sweet fired their arrows, allowing them to explode on impact, affecting the Tyrants. Seeing this, April had an idea.

“Leo, I have an idea!!” said April, “Get on the thing’s back, try to shoot it in the mouth!!”

“On it!!” said Leo, running towards the Tyrant.

The beast of a zombie attempted to strike Leo, only for the latter to quickly out maneuver it. Leo got onto its back, allowing April to use her power to hold it still. She used her power to force the Tyrant’s mouth to open.

“Now!!” shouted Karai.

Leo ran up and pulled out his arrow. He shot it inside the Tyrant and jumped away before it blew up and collapsed onto the ground.

“Two down, one to go!!” said Leo before turning to the rest. “Everyone, focus on the last one!!”

Everyone fired onto the last Tyrant trying to defend itself, but to no avail. Hunk got too close before being backhanded, landing a few meters from it. He instantly took out a grenade and pressed the top, allowing Hunk to plant it onto the ground and rolled sideways. The Tyrant missed as he couldn’t land a step on Hunk.

Just as Hunk landed, the Tyrant looked at Hunk.

“Boom.” Said Hunk.

Within a split second, the Tyrant blew up, taking it out in the process.

Everyone stared at the fallen monster, before Hunk got up and shouted, “All clear!!”

Ada, the President, and the Queen approached the group.

“Thank you all so much.” Said the Queen, “I thought my home doomed, but you have saved everyone.”

“Wish we could’ve done more, ma’am.” Said Sherry in shame.

“Do not worry, they shall be remembered.” Said the Queen. “Now then, considering the damage, we’ll save the conference until we clear the damages that have been done until further notice.”

“Very well ma’am,” said Leon, “And if you need help, don’t hesitate to call.”

“I promise.” Said the Queen with a slight bow before leaving.

“And you?” said Leon as he looked at Ada, “I assume you’re going somewhere?”

“Not exactly.” Said Ada, “Given the circumstances, I’d say I’ll go with you this time.”

“Seriously?” said Leon with a fixed brow.

“What?” said Ada before planting a kiss at Leon’s cheek, taking them by surprise, “I’m being sincere this time.”

“We’ll go too.” Said Hunk as he and his team stood near them.

“If Umbrella is involved and still around, then we can’t let this go just yet.” Said Lupo.

“Well, we could use all the help we can get.” Pondered Sunset.

Leo then realized something and walked towards the President.

“Mr. President,” said Leo, “I think it would be best if you come with us for safety.”

This surprised everyone as they looked at Leo.

“Are you sure about this, Leo?” asked Shinigami.

“The President nearly died today, because somehow his convoy was attacked.” Said Leo, “Which means someone leaked his location to whoever attacked him. If they learn he’s still alive, they’ll no doubt attack the White House.”

“Sir, maybe Leo has a point.” Said Sherry, “We couldn’t protect the previous one last time, so it wouldn’t be a bad idea if we did this for your own protection.”

The President pondered about this for a moment, before speaking, “Very well then, I’ll accept your invitation.”

“So, are we going through the airport?” asked April.

“Or we could use this.” Said Pinkie as she held a device, which Leo recognized.

“Wait, Donnie’s portal projector?!” said Leo in shock, “Pinkie where did you get this?!”

“Silly, I borrowed it so that we could use it to visit you just in case.” Said Pinkie, “But now we can use this to get back without anyone noticing.”

“How does it work?” asked Helena.

Pinkie pressed the buttons and fired the device, allowing it to create the portal back to New York, taking them by surprise.

“You’re friend’s a bit of an oddball, huh?” asked Beltway.

“You have no idea.” Said Pinkie’s friends.

“Let’s go guys.” Said Leo as he led the way, allowing everyone to enter and the portal to close behind them.

However, from a on one of the buildings, someone was watching them from afar via binoculars.

“Interesting.” Said the stranger, “No one has ever beaten them before.”

He lowered his binoculars and said, “Looks like I’ll need to step up my game.”

The man walked away to the shadows, never to be seen again.
