Equestria Girls: Adventures in Dragon Land (Season 2)

It was another beautiful Saturday morning in Canterlot City and Fluttershy was peacefully tending to Angel Bunny at her cozy cottage. The soft chirps of birds outside and the gentle rustle of leaves set a serene atmosphere. Angel Bunny, as mischievous as ever, was hopping around as he nibbled at some fresh carrots.

Suddenly, the door burst open and Pinkie Pie stumbled in, sobbing uncontrollably. Behind her, Apple Bloom and Rainbow Dash followed, trying their best to comfort their distraught friend.

"Pinkie, what's wrong?" Fluttershy asked softly, concern filling her gentle voice.

Through her hiccups and tears, Pinkie managed to squeak out, “I-I lost Gummy!”

Fluttershy's eyes widened in surprise. “Gummy? You mean your pet alligator plush?”

Pinkie nodded, her lip quivering. “I can’t find him anywhere! I checked all over my house—under the bed, in the cupboards, in the balloons! But he’s gone!”

Rainbow Dash, rolling her eyes, crossed her arms and huffed. “Pinkie, seriously? Gummy isn’t even real! He’s just a toy!”

Pinkie’s crying stopped abruptly, but only for a moment. Rainbow’s words hit hard. Her already trembling lip curled into a full-blown sob and her eyes filled with tears even faster than before. Streams of tears cascaded down her cheeks as her hair began to deflate. Suddenly, as if by some strange magic, she started to shrink—her badge glowing faintly as her size diminished until she was no bigger than a doll.

“Rainbow Dash!” Apple Bloom scolded, glaring at her. “How could you say that? Look what ya did!”

Rainbow, now feeling a bit guilty, shrugged, trying to play it cool. “I-I mean… I didn’t mean to—”

But Apple Bloom wasn’t having it. “You’ve made it worse!” she snapped, pointing at Pinkie who was now sitting miserably on the floor, only a few inches tall with her tiny head buried in her tiny hands.

Fluttershy, ever the kind and patient one, knelt down and gently held out her palm. “Come here, Pinkie,” she said softly, her voice like a warm blanket of comfort. “It’s okay. We’ll figure this out together.”

Pinkie, still sobbing, crawled onto Fluttershy’s palm. But despite Fluttershy’s best efforts to soothe her, Pinkie’s despair was too great. Her tiny form shook with every sob and no amount of comforting words seemed to reach her.

Apple Bloom scratched her chin, deep in thought. Suddenly, her face lit up with an idea. “Ah know! Why don’t we go to Dragon Land? Maybe our dragon friends can help find Gummy! They’re great at treasure hunts, so why not plushie hunts too?”

Pinkie immediately perked up at the suggestion. Her eyes widened with hope, her hair poofing up in an instant as she returned to her normal size, landing back on the ground with a spring in her step. “That’s a great idea, Apple Bloom! With our dragon friends’ help, we’ll find Gummy in no time!”

Rainbow Dash let out a sigh of relief. “Well, that’s one way to cheer her up.”

Apple Bloom smirked at Rainbow, giving her a light nudge. “Now, don't go sayin’ anything silly again, Rainbow.”

Fluttershy smiled warmly, happy to see Pinkie back to her usual self. “Well, what are we waiting for? Let’s go help Pinkie find Gummy!”

They went to Fluttershy’s room, put their dragon badges on and grabbed Fluttershy’s dragon scale. “I wish, I wish, with all my heart, to fly with Dragons, in a land apart!” They all recited in unison as the dragons on Fluttershy’s walls flew off, swirled around them all and off they went!

Once they arrive in Dragon Land, Zak and Wheezie approach the girls, looking worried and scared.

“Boy, are we glad to see you.” Zak said.

“What's wrong?” Apple Bloom asked.

“Why do you look so worried? Pinkie asked.

“It's Ord." Zak replied, looking worried.

“Oh. Poor, poor Ord.” Wheezie cried.

“What is it? What happened?" Apple Bloom asked.

“Yeah, what did Ord do? Is he in big trouble?” asked Rainbow.

“Come and see for yourself." Zak said as hesighed heavily.

Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash and Apple Bloom, Zak and Wheezie walked on their way to where Ord's located. Cassie is waiting for them, also very worried.

“He's over there.” Cassie said.

They all see Ord sitting on a boulder by the creek, feeling unhappy.

“Hi, guys.” Ord said, looking very depressed.

“What happened, Ord? What's wrong?” asked Fluttershy.

“Yeah. Why do you look so sad?” Apple Bloom asked in concern.

“A little while ago, I was playing here on this rock, when I... when I accidentally dropped my favorite blanket in the whole world into the creek. It floated away so fast, I couldn't catch it. Then it went right down the lost forever hole.” Ord explained to the others.

“Oh my goodness…” Apple Bloom said.

“This is like a black hole, right…?” Rainbow Dash asked.

"I tried to grab it Fluttershy, but I couldn't AND NOW IT'S GOOOOOOOONE!!!!! “ Ord said, unable to endure the heartbreak he had to endure over losing his blanket. He collapses in Fluttershy’s arms sobbing his heart out as everyone else feels terrible at Ord’s misfortune, unsure how to make things better.

“Oh, I'm really sorry, Ord.” Fluttershy said, sadly.

“Isn’t that the saddest story you’ve ever heard?!” Wheezie said close to crying herself.

“Yeah…” Pinkie said. “Reminds me of losing Gummy.”

“Uh oh. Here he goes again.” Zak said as Ord continues crying himself silly and the storm cloud above his head is heard rumbling, which scares Fluttershy, causing her to run for cover before she can get too wet.

“Okay, what’s going on here?” Rainbow Dash said, obviously confused.

“What's that thing floating over Ord?” Apple Bloom asked.

“That's his Big Funky Cloud, Apple Bloom.” Cassie explained.

“Big Funky Cloud?” asked Fluttershy.

“I’m confused, what is a Big Funky Cloud?” asked Pinkie.

“Uh huh. It's a big funky cloud that comes to dragons when they're really, really sad. It's terrible.” Wheezie explained sadly.

“Oh…” The others said, realizing what Wheezie meant as Ord sneezes.

“I feel the same way today. I lost my pet baby alligator I named Gummy. I couldn’t find him anywhere.” Pinkie explained.

“Oh, I am so sorry to hear that.” Wheezie sighed in worry.

“Well, can't we make the cloud go away? It's raining all over my best buddy.” Apple Bloom said. “Besides, he could catch a cold. Ord, why don't you move out from under the rain?” she suggests.

Ord tries to move out under the rain but the cloud follows him, as it is linked through negative and sad emotions. “I can't, Bloom. Wherever I go, the cloud goes with me. Watch.” Ord said. He shows it by walking around a little bit to move out from under the rain. But to no avail. He even tried to push the cloud away, only for it to instantly come back.

“Oh… See?” he sighed.

“Ord's cloud won't go away, until his sad feelings go away too.” Cassie explained.

“So it’s powered by sad emotions huh?” Rainbow replied, understanding what was happening.

Suddenly, Apple Bloom realizes how she could help and she would need Pinkie to help. “Hey, Pinkie! Do you have anything to keep Ord dry?” she asked.

“Oh, I have something that will totally work! Just give me a moment.” Pinkie replied as she turned around and dug through her hair. Moments later, she brought out a newspaper cap and rain gloves.

“Oh, thank you!” Apple Bloom exclaimed as she approached the sad dragon with her new supplies.

Apple Bloom hands over the hat to Ord to keep his head dry and the gloves to keep his hands dry.

“Thanks, Apple Bloom.” Ord said, smiling a bit. “You know what? I do feel a little better and drier. But I'm still sad, I don't wanna be but I am. I can't help it!” he continued as he began sobbing a bit. Apple Bloom takes the gloves off Ord's hands and she goes back right over to where Rainbow, Fluttershy, Pinkie, Cassie, Zak and Wheezie are standing. Having got wet from the rain, Apple Bloom shakes her head until her hair gets dry.

“Poor Ord. We have to help him not feel so sad.” Apple Bloom said.

“Yeah…” Fluttershy said.

“But how?” Cassie asked.

Pinkie started putting her right pointer finger up to her mouth, until seeing Ord stop sobbing for a bit gave her an idea. “Hmm. I know. We'll make Ord feel some other kind of feeling.”

“Loooooove it.” Wheezie exclaimed happily.

“Great idea!” Rainbow Dash said.

“Like happy or surprised.” Cassie said.

“Including other positive emotions!” Pinkie said.

“Yeah. When Ord doesn't feel sad anymore, he'll stop crying.” Apple Bloom explained.

“...and the cloud will go away.” Zak continued.

“Let's do it.” Fluttershy said as everyone cheered before they huddled together trying to think of how to make Ord either happy, surprised, etc.

Ord was still feeling sad until someone in a huge mask showed itself from behind the bush and snuck up on the blue dragon.

“Surprise!” Zak and Wheezie cried.

“WHOA!!!!!!!” Ord cried as he fell right into the creek water, startled. “Hey, hey. What'd you do that for?”

“Were you surprised?” asked Zak.

“Yeah. I was surprised, even scared. Ord said.

“Yeah. hear that, everybody?” Ord feels surprised and scared.” Wheezie announces to everyone when they came out and approached the big dragon.

“Does he feel sad anymore?” Fluttershy asked.

“Do you feel sad anymore?” Wheezie asked Ord.

“Not really. Now I'm feeling kind of scared. Which reminds me of how I used to hide under my blanket whenever I got scared." Ord said as he began sobbing a bit again. "I miss my blanket!” he continues sobbing a bit and the Big Funky Cloud is heard rumbling again, as everyone groans in defeat.

“Oh no. He's sad again.” Wheezie said in defeat. “Now what?"

Suddenly, a lightbulb pops on Pinkie’s head and nods her head in agreement.

“Maybe we can try to make Ord feel happy.” Pinkie said.

“Yeah. good idea. Let's do it.” Wheezie said as she, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash and Apple Bloom and Zak huddled up with one another and began whispering in-distinctively.

Meanwhile, Ord's still hanging his head down with his eyes closed as he sees Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash and Apple Bloom, Cassie, Zak and Wheezie making a parade with maracas, bongos and stick horses.

“Oh. What's that?” Ord asked.

“It's a parade to make you feel happy, Ord.” Zak answered.

Hey. That's a good idea. Ord replied happily.

“I love parades. They're so cha-cha-cha.” Wheezie said.

“Wow. This is just like the time everyone went with me through the Forest of Darkness and I was scared and then we made a parade and I felt better.” Ord said as he remembered that day when the others were finding the wish star.

“Feeling happy yet?” Pinkie asked.

“I think so.” Ord answered as The Big Funky Cloud is about to go away.

They were happy to see the cloud was about to go away. However, it didn’t last very long when thunder were heard again. Ord begins sobbing a bit again as everyone was baffled by this.

“Ord, why are you sad again?” Apple Bloom asked.

“We thought you liked parades.” Fluttershy said, confused.

“Yeah, why the long face?!” Rainbow Dash asked, annoyed.

“I do. I do! It's just that I remembered that I always used to sit on my blanket whenever I watched a parade!” Ord said as he continued sobbing a bit again.

“Oh man, he really misses that blanket, huh?” asked Pinkie. “That blanket means EVERYTHING to him, kind of like… me… who lost Gummy…”

“Everytime we do something to cheer Ord up, something always reminds him of his blanket.” Apple Bloom said.

“Oh, this is never ever, ever gonna work.” Zak groaned in defeat.

“Zak's right. I'm gonna be very, very sad forever and ever and ever!” Ord cried as he continued sobbing a bit once more.

“We’re trying to make you happy, yet you’re telling us you want to be a crybaby dragon who remembers a cherished possession and yet you’re telling me you have none? I mean, your blanket means everything to you, you’ve had it since you were a little dragon, you’ve had it and used it every time, for something like a tool and for other events like a parade, BUT, I MEAN, DO YOU WANNA BE A BIG, CRY BABY DRAGON FOR THE REST OF YOUR WHOLENATURAL LIFE?!?!?!?!?! AND JUST COMPLETELY LET YOURSELF GO, ALL BECAUSE OF A BLANKET THAT IS GONE FOREVER?! HUH?! HUH?! HUH?! HUH?! HUH?! WE’VE SPENT THE LAST FEW MINUTES AND HOURS, TRYING TO MAKE YOU HAPPY AND WHAT DOES IT GOTTEN YOU AND THE REST OF US, HUH? HAPPY MEMORIES OF A CHERISHED POSSESSION, YOUR BLANKET, THAT IS NOW GONE FOREVER IN THE LOST FOREVER HOLE IN THE CREEK SIMILAR TO THE BLACK HOLE, BESIDES, YOU CAN’T STAY VERY, VERY, VERY, SADFOREVER UNTIL YOU DIE AND BE A BIG, BIG, BIG, BIG, GIGANTIC HUMONGOUS TITANICAL COWARDLY EMOTIONAL LONELY BLUE CRY BABY DRAGON FOREVERAND EVER AND EVER AND EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU COULD EVEN SUFFER A HUGE, HUGE, HUGE, MENTAL BREAKDOWN!!!!!!!!!! YOU’LL BE VERY, VERY VERY, VERY LONELY AND SAD, YOU’LL COMPLETELY LET YOURSELF GO, YOU’LL GET SICK AND YOU’LL DIE!!!!!!!!! UNTIL YOUR PARENTS, GRANDPARENTS, AUNTS, UNCLES, NEPHEWS, NIECES, INCLUDING THE ONES WHO HAVE SUPPORTED YOU BEFORE YOU HAD ANYTHING, INCLUDING EVERYONE, THE ONES THAT YOU LOVE AND CARE FOR, PUT YOU IN THE BURIAL AND THEN, THE BIG FUNKY CLOUD WILL RAIN ON YOUR BURIAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU WOULDN'T WANT THAT, DO YOU?!?! HUH?!?!?! WHO’S GONNA MAKE YOU HAPPY, HUH?! HUH?! HUH?! HUH?! HUH? AND WHAT’LL HAPPEN IF YOU GO HOME OR GO TO SCHOOL LOOKING LIKE THIS TO EVERYONE IN DRAGON LAND AND THE REST OF THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD?! HUH?! SO I ASK AGAIN…DO YOU REALLY WANNA BE A NATURALGIGANTIC HUMONGOUS TITANICAL COWARDLY EMOTIONAL BLUE CRY BABY DRAGON FOR THE REST OF YOUR WHOLE NATURAL LIFE?!?!?!?!?!HUH?! HUH?! HUH?! HUH?! HUH?! HUH?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! CAN’T YOU JUST GET IT THROUGH YOUR THICK SKULL?!?! HUH?! HUH?! HUH?! HUH?! HUH?! HUH?!” Rainbow asked, slowly getting furious as she rants on. “FINE, SEE?! YOU WANNA BE SAD FOREVER, HUH?! HUH?! HUH?! HUH?! YOU WANNA REMEMBER YOUR BLANKET, HUH?! HOW DOES IT FEEL?! HOW DOES IT FEEL TO BE VERY, VERY VERY, SAD FOREVER? HUH?! I’LL SHOW YOU HOW IT FEEL TO BE VERY VERY VERY VERY SAD FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THAT IT’LL FLOOD DRAGON LAND AND THE WHOLE WORLD AND THEN THE WHOLE UNIVERSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

“Whoa, whoa, whoa! Rainbow Dash! Calm down. We don’t want to scare Ord and leave him traumatized.” Fluttershy exclaimed before Rainbow could’ve made things worse.

“No, you're not going to be sad forever, Ord. Don't say such a thing.” Apple Bloom said. “If you do, you’ll flood Dragon Land and you might get sick or maybe drown. Besides, you’re suffering from major depression. In my world, millions of people have suffered a lot of major depressions such as Major depressive disorder, Persistent depressive disorder, Seasonal affective disorder (SAD), Postpartum depression, Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), Bipolar disorder and other types of depression, including mental breakdowns but they went through with it and they feel very happy!”

“Just because we haven’t thought of how to make your cloud go away, doesn’t mean we should stop now.” Wheezie said.

“If we did, then you’d never be the dragon we’d never known.” Pinkie explained.

"Quetzal says sometimes you have to think of lots of ideas before you think of the right one." Cassie replied, remembering a lesson.

“Yeah! So let's think. What else can we do to help Ord get rid of that big funky cloud?” Fluttershy said as everyone started to look at the cloud very closely. Moments later, Cassie finally gets an idea.

“Hmmm. I wonder-” Cassie thought.

“What is it, Cassie?” asked Pinkie.

“Maybe instead of trying to get the cloud away from Ord, we should be trying to get Ord away from the cloud. Help me find a really big leaf and I'll show you what I mean.” Cassie answered as she led the girls, Zak and Wheezie to the big leaf in front of them, including Ord.

A few minutes later, everyone is setting up their idea to get Ord away from the cloud. They made a water raft from the leaf and they were setting Ord up for the ride ahead.

“Oh. This is so exciting.” Wheezie exclaimed in excitement.

“I don't know. This may be too exciting.” Ord said, looking worried.

“Oh, Don't worry, Ord. It's perfectly safe. Pinkie promised as she climbed onto Cassie’s back. “Everybody ready? Charge!”

On cue, they all begin charging safely with Ord on the really big leaf with his trusty ladybug helmet. Rainbow Dash is riding on Ord’s back, clearly wanting to feel the adrenaline rush.

“It's working. But we have to go faster.”

The dragons go faster much to Ord's delight, as the cloud starts chasing the gang and later bounces off a bulrush.

“Yay! We did it” Apple Bloom cheered.

“Whoo-Hoo! Now this is what I am talking about!” Rainbow cheered in excitement, loving the thrills until Ord noticed a rock in the way.

“Look out!” Ord cried in panic as he got closer to the rock. Pinkie and Cassie went left and Zak, Wheezie, Apple Bloom and Fluttershy went right.

They all tell him to watch out before the “raft” falls on everybody and they land into the water! Ord sees a reflection in the water when his cloud comes back to his head. Suddenly, something happened that everyone felt happy for. Ord is looking at the gang’s reflections on the water and they look like they’re looking at a carnival funhouse mirror!

“Hey, you look funny, Pinkie!” Ord laughed as he looked at Pinkie’s reflection.

“You do too, Ord!” Pinkie giggles. As everyone was laughing, Ord’s cloud starts to shrink until eventually, the cloud is all gone! Ord was happy again and everyone cheered! They all feel good about themselves and the fact they helped their formerly-depressed friend.

“We did it. We finally did it.” Pinkie cheered.

“I was really, really sad and then you helped me feel really, really happy. Then my Big Funky Cloud went away.” Ord exclaimed happily. “Thanks, everyone, including you, Rainbow Dash.”

“Any time, Ord. That's what friends are for.” Fluttershy replied.

Pinkie went to dry her hair until something fell out. It was Gummy!

“Gummy!” Pinkie squeaked as she picked up her stuffed pet and hugged it. “Oh, I thought I lost you! Let’s never be separated again.”

“Of course, Pinkie.” Gummy replied, since she’s using her plush alligator as a ventriloquist dummy.

Zak was weirded out as everyone was seeing what Pinkie was doing.

“Uh, is that normal? Is that what she normally does with Gummy?” Zak asked, creeped out.

“Hey, she’s Pinkie Pie. What did you expect?” Rainbow replied as everyone laughed.

With that, it’s time for the girls to head home.

“I wish, I wish, to use this rhyme, to go back home, until next time.” they recited in unison as they returned to Fluttershy’s cottage.

“Wow. Today sure was busy for sure!” Rainbow exclaimed.

“Ah, know. I am just so glad that we made Ord very happy again.” Apple Bloom cheered. “But for Rainbow Dash… well… she really snapped when she heard that Ord was going to be sad forever and ever, she even gave a huge monologue speech to Ord and everyone.”

"Yeah, sorry about this, guys." Rainbow replied, feeling sorry for herself. “I just wanted Ord to understand the whole truth about sadness, including depression and mental breakdowns. I mean, ever since I said this monologue, I have been asking myself; "Did I do the right thing?" Or, am I acting like Sunset Shimmer back when she was a school bully?”

“Oh, it’s okay. You just had to… let it all out. You need to control your emotions though.” Apple Bloom replied, patting Rainbow’s back.

“Yeah. Yeah, you’re right. I’m not like Sunset Shimmer back when she was a megalomaniac school bully.” Rainbow said. “I’m not like her past self. If I were her, I’d wear Princess Twilight’s Element of Magic and turn into a raging She-demon at the Fall Formal just like her. No offense, besides, I’m glad Princess Twilight or any of us, including our pony selves from Equestria didn’t end up just like Sunset Shimmer back then, not even a human version of Sunset Shimmer from Canterlot City who was born here.”

“Nothing to worry about and none taken.” Apple Bloom said, remembering Sunset’s phrase from her bad past.

“Yeah. Let’s tell Sunset about what happened earlier” Rainbow said.

“Maybe we can even buy a new blanket for Ord as a present.” Fluttershy replied.

With that, they all went to Sunset’s place to tell her about the day they had and they went to the store to buy a blanket replacement for Ord.
