The sky was gloomy and dark as Rainbow Dash landed before the cottage of her oldest and dearest friend, Fluttershy. It was obvious to her trained eyes that there was a storm being brewed up by the pegasi working the day’s weather, but that was of no concern to her right now. Fluttershy had sent her a letter a few days ago practically begging that Dash visit her, and Rainbow was hardly a mare to deny the heart-felt request of a friend. Rainbow began gently knocking, knocking at Shy’s cabin door. Long she stood there waiting, huffing, one hoof tapping upon the floor. “Huh? Well, I mean, I read that you were inviting me over,” Rainbow explained. “And, well, I mean… why else would you be inviting me over if not to fuck each other’s brains out? I figured I could just skip the rest of that boring old letter.”

“Your brother? What does Zephyr have to do with anything?”
“Wow, you really didn’t read any of my letter, did you? Zephyr has been very sick recently and I’ve been taking care of him non-stop,” Fluttershy explained. “You know I’m the only family he has left since our parents died last year, so it’s my responsibility to care for him. But, it’s an awful lot for just one mare to do.”
“Geez, that does sound rough, Shy,” Rainbow said, gently placing a comforting hoof on her friend’s shoulder. “Your brother might be annoying, but I hate to hear that he’s so sick. And I doubly hate to see you running yourself ragged taking care of him all by yourself.”
“So, you will help?”
“‘Course I will, Shy! What are friends for?”
“Oh, thank you Dashie!” Fluttershy exclaimed, wrapping her hooves around Rainbow and hugging her tightly.
“And, hey, who knows…?” Rainbow suggested, a hoof running down Fluttershy’s flank. “Maybe we’ll have time to get me under that tail too?”
“We’ll see,” Fluttshy teased with a smile, breaking free from the hug and beckoning Rainbow to enter her cottage. “We’ll see.”
“So, what’s wrong with your brother, anyway?” Rainbow asked as Fluttershy led her inside.
“I’m afraid no pony has been able to say,” Fluttershy explained, putting on a kettle to brew some tea. “I’ve just been helping him as best as I can, but he hasn’t been getting any better.”
“Well, what’s he doing?” Dash prodded.
“Most of the time he just lays still, unable to move a muscle,” Fluttershy explained.
“So Zephyr’s spending all his time laying around and doing nothing? Hate to tell ya, Shy, but that doesn’t sound too different from the Zephyr I’ve always known,” Rainbow laughed, trying to lighten her friend’s mood.
“Rainbow Dash! That isn’t funny!” Fluttershy scolded. “Really, Dashie. I get that you’re trying to cheer me up, but it’s really been awful. He can’t move, he can’t eat, he can’t clean himself, most of the time he can’t do anything but lay in bed and be taken care of. I haven't had time to do anything but care for him for months, and it’s starting to drive me crazy.”
“Wait. Most of the time? You mean he can move about occasionally?”
“Well, not really,” Fluttershy explained. “It’s more that he has fits, or maybe they’re seizures? I don’t know, I’m not a doctor. All I know is that he occasionally has these episodes where he’ll start thrashing around and risk hurting himself, and I have to calm him down by…, well, that’s not really important.”
“Well, I’m here for you now,” Rainbow assured the other mare, throwing a foreleg over her shoulder and pulling her into a hug. “What can I help you with?”
“Honestly, it’s just nice to have another pony to talk to. I know I’m not the most social mare in Equestria, but even I’ve had a tough time being alone with no pony else for so long.”
“Yeah, I get that,” Rainbow commiserated. “I’d definitely start to go stir crazy spending so much time alone like that.”
“Oh! That reminds me! I did come across a new blend of tea just before Zephyr got ill,” Fluttershy exclaimed. “And now I finally have somepony to share it with. Would you like to try some, Dashie?”
“Sure Shy, you always come up with the most awesomest brews. What’s it called?”
“Amaretillado, I think was what it’s called. It came in this lovely cask and everything,” Fluttershy explained as she put the kettle on her stove.
“Neat,” replied Rainbow as she settled onto the couch and watched Fluttershy prepare the drink. “Nothing ominous sounding about that.”
“Anyway, while I’m preparing this, why don’t you tell me what you’ve been up to recently, Dashie?” Fluttershy requested as she busied herself in the kitchen.
Rainbow wasted no time slipping into her favorite topic of conversation: herself. She eagerly told Fluttershy all about her recent promotion on the weather team, how her and Pinkie Pie had pranked Applejack by swapping random bushels of her apples with strawberries when she wasn’t looking, her brief relationship with Cloudchaser and their messy break up, and how she’d helped put out that mysterious fire at Strawberry Sunrise's house with an impromptu rainstorm. Fluttershy listened passively to her friend's stories as she smiled and prepared the tea, pouring out two cups, placing them onto saucers, and bringing them to the living room to share with her friend. It was just like old times.
“Here you are, Dashie,” Fluttershy said as she served her friend the tea. “Let me know how you like it.”
“Thanks, Shy. I’m sure I’ll love it,” Rainbow took the cup and raised it toward her lips. She was keenly aware of how intently Fluttershy seemed to be staring at her as she prepared to taste the tea. She must be really proud of the flavor or something. Whatever, it certainly smelled nice, at least. Something about the scent seemed very relaxing. She parted her lips and raised the brim of the cup to her mouth. Fluttershy smiled.

“Wah!” Rainbow shouted, so startled at the sudden noise that she dropped the teacup from her hooves. “Oh geez, sorry Flutters! I’ll clean this right up. What the heck was that noise?”
Fluttershy frowned. “Oh dear, Zephyr must be having one of his episodes again. Let me go calm him down while you clean up, and then I can pour you a new cup.”
Fluttershy left the room to head upstairs as Rainbow grabbed a towel from the kitchen and began to soak up the tea from the couch and her fur. As she cleaned, she heard rapid thumping and banging coming from upstairs. Worried that Fluttershy might be having trouble calming her brother down, and remembering that she’d promised Flutters that she’d help, Rainbow decided to hurry upstairs and see what she could do to assist.
“Hey Shy, do you need hel–” Rainbow asked as she entered the room where Zephyr lay, before cutting herself off in shock.
Zephyr was strapped tightly to the bed, his hooves stretched and tied to four posts at each corner. He was thrashing and straining against his bindings, muscles taut and bulging in his efforts. In his eyes -wide and bloodshot- Rainbow recognized abject terror. But none of that was what shocked Rainbow most of all.

“That’s okay, Dashie. It’s been a long day, and I know you’re trying your best to help me out,” Fluttershy reassured her friend. “Here, have some tea to help calm down, and then you can plow me into the bed all night if you like.”
“Now that sounds like a good idea,” Rainbow agreed, grabbing a cup of the tea Fluttershy offered and taking a sip.
“How do you like the tea?” Fluttershy asked, smiling widely as she watched Rainbow drink it. Rainbow couldn’t quite remember ever seeing her smile like that before. It was almost predatory in a way. And why wasn’t Fluttershy drinking any? And had Fluttershy’s room always looked so blurry and spinny?
“Hey, Fluttershy?” Rainbow slowly began to say. “Why–”

The door to the bedroom slammed open, and Zephyr Breeze stumbled inside.
Rainbow gasped as she saw the state he was in. One of his forehooves was broken, he had bruises and cuts all over him, and his fur was an utter mess, where it hadn’t chafed off of him completely. He was panting and wobbly on his hooves, but his eyes were full of nothing but anger and hate. And they were staring directly at his sister.
“Rainbow…. Don’t…” he panted, clearly out of breath. “The tea…”
Rainbow’s eyes went wide as she looked down at the cup of tea that she’d already finished drinking. What did he mean ‘the tea’? What was going on here?
“Zephyr? Oh dear, what are you doing out of bed?” Fluttershy asked. “How did you get out of all those straps?”
“Not easily, sis,” Zephyr growled. “But I’m not letting you do to Rainbow what you did to me!”
“It’s too late for you to stop anything, dear brother,” Fluttershy responded. “Look at you. You can barely even stand up. Why don’t you let your big sister put you back to bed?”
Rainbow’s head was spinning as she tried to make sense of what was going on. Why was it so hard for her to think right now? She felt like her brain was in a fog, and her body felt weak and tired. Why was Zephyr yelling at Fluttershy? Wasn’t she taking care of him? What was happening?
“I’m never going back to that bed, you bitch!” Zephyr snarled, extending his wings and locking them in attack position.
“Wait, Zephyr! Maybe we can talk about thi–” Fluttershy tried to say, before she was interrupted by Zephyr tackling her to the floor.
Zephyr had her pinned beneath him, hooves wrapped around her neck, eyes full of hate. Fluttershy tried to push him off her, but even in his emaciated state the stallion had enough strength and adrenaline in him to overpower her. His teeth ground together as he stared daggers into his sister’s bulging, dying eyes. Fluttershy’s shoves became desperate flailing, feebly attempting to free herself from his grip.
Rainbow didn’t know what was happening, and she could barely keep her eyes open, but she knew one thing for certain. Fluttershy was being hurt, and Rainbow needed to help her.
“S- stto pp!” she slurred as if she’d just drunk several mugs of Applejack’s hardest cider. She focused every ounce of her remaining strength on launching herself at the stallion assaulting her friend. She didn’t know why it was so hard to move, but nothing was going to stop her from saving Fluttershy!
“Wait! Rainbow, don’t!” Zephyr just managed to get out as he noticed the blue pegasus coming his way. Unfortunately, it was too late for her to stop or for him to dodge. As Rainbow’s hoof made contact with Zephyr’s head, there was a crack, and his body fell limp to the floor. Rainbow landed next to him, feeling dizzy and no longer able to move. She watched through hazy eyes as Fluttershy shakily stood up and caught her breath.
“Gee, Dashie, lucky for me you didn’t drink your tea earlier. He might have gotten me if you weren't there to save me,” Fluttershy said, idly kicking at Zephyr’s head. “By the way, Rainbow, I think you killed him,” Shy casually observed.
Killed him? Oh no! Rainbow hadn’t meant to kill him, she was just trying to get him to stop hurting Fluttershy! She tried to stand up, to apologize to Fluttershy, to do anything except lay on the floor and stare at the lifeless corpse of the stallion she’d just murdered.
But she could do none of those things.
“Oh well,” Fluttershy dismissed her brother’s death as casually as if her day at the park had been canceled by a sudden rain. “Don’t worry, Dashie. You just saved me the trouble of doing it, is all. Actually, I guess I should have done this earlier, but I got greedy and figured I could wring one or two more rides on that wonderful dick of his before finishing him off. Guess his resistance to the tea had gotten stronger than I thought.”
Rainbow wasn’t sure what was happening. Her whole body felt numb, and none of what Fluttershy was saying made any sense. Why wasn’t she more bothered that her brother had just died? What was she saying about riding Zephyr’s dick? And what did a resistance to tea have to do with anything?
Wait, hadn’t Zephyr said something about tea before attacking Fluttershy? Had he been warning her about something? Come to think of it, Rainbow only started feeling so weird after drinking that cup that Shy had brought her. And weren’t her symptoms kind of similar to… Zephyr’s?
Rainbow’s eyes widened, the same fear she’d seen in Zephyr now mirrored in her own. Fluttershy noticed and smiled that same, weird smile that Rainbow had noticed earlier, when she’d first drank the tea.
“Oh, have you figured it out now, Dashie?” Fluttershy asked teasingly. “That’s right, Zephyr was never really sick. I’ve just been drugging him all this time to keep him docile. Just like I’ve done to you. With that wonderful Amaretillado tea.”
“W-w…why?” Rainbow managed to stutter out, nearly exhausting herself just to utter that single word.
“Because I lied to you earlier, Dashie,” Fluttershy answered, lightly booping Rainbow on the nose as she spoke. “I actually hate socializing with other ponies, or even talking to them at all. But, a mare has needs, you know? And it’s so hard to find a pony to fuck, without having to talk or interact with them in any other way. Even with you, there are so many pleasantries to exchange and friends to catch up on just to get you under my tail for the night. I’m just sick of it!”
“But then Zephyr moved in after mom and dad died, and I realized I had the perfect answer to my problem,” she continued, now pacing around the room as Rainbow listened to Shy explain her madness. “I drugged him, chained him to my bed, and have been fucking him day and night ever since. “Except that, after a year of ingesting a non-lethal dose of the same poison every day, Zephyr was starting to resist its effects,” Fluttershy continued to exposit. “He was having more and more ‘episodes’ of lucidity, where he’d wake up able to move and try to free himself from his restraints. On the upside, the sex got even better, but I knew it was only a matter of time before the drugs stopped effecting him at all. So, I needed to find a new partner.”
“Me…” Rainbow realized.
“You!” Fluttershy explained. “I sent you that letter and invited you here, knowing that you’d be more than willing to trust me. And that you’d happily gulp down that tea. The only hitch in my plan was Zephyr realizing you were here and managing to muster enough strength to free himself in order to save you. I guess he must have noticed you watching him and I having sex earlier today.”
“Shit. She noticed me there,” Rainbow thought. Though, she supposed it didn’t really matter now.
“Such a naughty little voyeur, Dashie,” Fluttershy teased, now moving to straddle Rainbow’s prone body and line herself up with the strap-on she was still wearing. “You were so wet after watching me rape Zephyr, I was almost tempted to let you join me for a round with him before I drugged you. Author's Note
Whew. Well, I hope this hit an appropriate balance between comedy and horror. It's a tough line to walk, even without the addition of horse sex added into the mix. I don't know how effective it is, but personally I'm happy with the result.
I've always been a big fan of Edgar Allen Poe's works, so when Shakes set an Incest contest during halloween, I felt it appropriate to do an homage to the author. Originally this was just going to be a fairly straight retelling of The Fall of the House of Usher, but with horse incest, but as I started writing, the story kind of took on a life of it's own. There's a sprinkling of a few of Poe's works in here, but I'm happy that it ended up being less derivative than I originally had planned. Giving Fluttershy an opportunity to be the villain was fun as well.
Anyway, all that is to say that I'm happy to be back on the Incest is Wincest contest circuit after missing the past few. I know this one's a bit darker than some of my other fics, but I hope everyone enjoyed reading it anyway. I'll send you off with Christopher Walken's reading of The Raven
