Prologue
It had been two months since Aaron, Smolder and their friends went on their adventure with the Mane 6 from G5. As well as them getting new neighbors across the street. And one of those new neighbors happens to be a girl who shares the same name as a character from G1 MLP. Megan Williams. This is gonna be very interesting.
But for now, Aaron, Smolder and Marissa are all at Staples getting school supplies for Aaron and Smolder's Freshman Year of High School. Supplies such as new backpacks, binders, notebooks, pencils, pencil sharpeners, rulers, protractors, math compasses and some art supplies in case they have art classes. Aaron and Smolder were currently in their human forms.
"So, how long do we have to be in High School again?" Smolder asked.
"Four years," Marissa said. "And that also gives you three years of time until you can start thinking about college. That is if you decide to go."
"And hopefully, within those three years, we'll also be able to drive," Aaron said.
"We get to drive?" Smolder asked. "Awesome!"
"That is until both of you are 16," Marissa said. "I plan on making you two start studying driver's education when Aaron turns 16. Then both of you can officially take the driver's test when Smolder turns 16."
"That's like another year and a half away," Smolder said.
"When we're in the second half of Sophomore Year, and we're about to start Freshman Year," Aaron said. "But don't worry. I'm sure that we'll have plenty of time to study for that."
"And I'm sure Liam will help you two study for that when the time comes," Marissa said. "But for now, we need you two to focus on getting through Freshman Year."
"Yeah, yeah, whatever," Smolder said. "Usually dragons don't do these kinds of things. But this world really is amazing. Perhaps one day I should explore this world more."
"Hopefully the others will be alright," Aaron said. "Especially with Gallus now a part of the Royal Guard."
"I'm sure he'll be fine after what happened," Marissa said.
"He is," Smolder said. "He's actually doing better than we thought he would as a member of the guard. And I heard Yona is making something that would remind us of our time in the future."
"Sounds like it would be nice," Aaron said.
"Okay, looks like we have everything," Marissa said. "Now, let's go to the checkout." Then they all headed towards the front of the store to pay for their school supplies.
A couple weeks later, Aaron and Smolder were heading for the car with Marissa getting out her keys to the car. That was when they saw Megan coming up to them.
"Howdy, y'all," Megan said.
"Megan?" Smolder asked. "What's up?"
"Oh, Megan's father had to do some things today, such as getting his truck registered here," Marissa said. "So he asked me to bring Megan with us to Orientation."
"That's right, y'all," Megan said. "Ah can't wait to see mah new school."
"Starting High School is gonna be a big change for all of us," Aaron said. "Let's see what it's got."
"Alright, you three," Marissa said. "Into the car." Then Aaron got into the front passenger seat, Smolder got in the seat behind Aaron, and Megan got in the seat behind Marissa. Then they started heading towards Summer Valley High School.
At Summer Valley High School, a lot of other students were there for Orientation. They had divided the students into four different groups. Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors. Since Aaron, Smolder and Megan were gonna start off as Freshmen, they went over with the other Freshmen. That was when they met up with Kyle and Paul.
"Hey, Aaron!" Paul said. "There you are!"
"Wassup, Paul?" Aaron said. "Hey, Kyle."
"Hey, it's good to see you two here," Kyle said. He then saw Megan. "Who's this girl?"
"Megan Williams," Megan introduced herself. "Ah moved here from Tennessee."
"Dang, you are one fine lookin' girl," Kyle said.
"Ah, why thank ya," Megan said.
Smolder looked around and asked, "Hey, have any of you seen Maddie? I thought she was going to be meeting us here this year."
"Sorry, Samantha," Paul said. "But Maddie isn't joining us here. Her family got a job opportunity working on a world cruise. Maddie's going to be attending High School on the Seven Seas."
"Seriously?" Smolder asked. "Ah, man. I better call her." She then pulled out her phone and searched for Maddie's number. She waited for Maddie to answer. "Dammit. Voicemail." She then waited for the beep so she could leave a message. "Hey, Maddie. It's me. Aaron and I heard that you're going to be attending school across the seas. I thought we were gonna see you again this year. But, I guess we're gonna have to wait a while until we see you again. Call me back when you get the chance to. Bye." She then hung up.
"That was unexpected," Kyle said. He then walked over to Smolder and quietly asked, "Does the new girl know about your..."
"Nope," Smolder quietly responded. "We'd thought that we would keep our dragon forms under wraps until we can fully trust her. Also, apparently, she happens to share traits as an MLP character from G1."
"Wait, she's like that Megan Williams?" Kyle asked, quietly. "Damn. I didn't think that would be possible." Just then, the speakers gave off some feedback. They saw the Principal of the School at the podium. The Principal was a white woman in her late 40s, had brown hair that reached down to her shoulders, blue eyes, she was wearing a light blue blazer and matching skirt with a white button up shirt, and blue 3 inch heels.
"Welcome students," the principal said. "I'm Principal Sanders, those who haven't attended this school before. Welcome to the new school year. We're all gonna have a great time at this school. Hopefully we all can keep this school nice and organized. Now, all Freshmen, go into the gym to start check out your choices of extra curricular classes and get your pictures taken for your ID Cards."
Then all the Freshmen went towards the school gymnasium to choose their classes. They were all given their papers to see what classes they have. They would all have ten different classes and divided into two different days. Five classes for one day and five classes for another. They would also get a free period for extra studying. They eventually made it to the sign up sheets.
"Okay, the classes we have been assigned to are English, Math, Health, PE, History and Science," Aaron said. "Health, Science and PE on A-Days, and English, Math and History on the B-Days."
"So, what are we gonna do for the extra classes?" Smolder asked.
"To be honest, I'm actually thinking of doing Wood Shop," Aaron said. Smolder saw the sign up sheets for the classes. Aaron then signed his name on the Wood Shop sign up sheet for A-Day on one of the other periods that required a class.
"That's good, but I don't think that's my forte," Smolder said.
"You can always choose a class for yourself," Aaron said.
"That's true," Smolder said.
Aaron then saw another class he wanted to sign up for. He then said, "Eh, we need to learn another language in High School to graduate."
"Seriously?" Smolder asked. "Why do we need to learn another language?"
"It's a requirement, Sam," Paul said. "Look. There's a Spanish Class." Aaron and Smolder then shrugged their shoulders and signed their names, rather Smolder signed as Samantha Drake, on the sign up sheet for Spanish Class as the last class on A-Day.
Smolder looked for another class on A-Day to sign up for. Smolder couldn't find anything and sighed. She then saw Megan sign up for Home Economics.
"What's Home Economics?" Smolder asked.
"Oh, it's basically cookin'," Megan said. "We basically cook and bake things. Ah always wanted to join mah ma with bakin' things, but... she passed away."
"I'm sorry about that," Smolder said. "I get that losing a parent is hard on you."
"Yeah, it is," Megan said. "Hey, ya wanna join me in this class? We can share the same cooking area."
Smolder then saw that the other spots of that A class time were filled already. She then said, "Meh. Guess it's my only choice now." She then signed Samantha Drake on that sign up sheet. Then she went over to the B-Day classes. Aaron and Smolder then sighed up for computer typing and art class for their extra curriculars. Then they both went towards where the pictures had to be taken.
There was one freshman that was there that looked pretty old to even be a student.
"Whoa," Aaron said. "Uh, dude, aren't you a little big to be a Freshman?"
The oversized student turned around and looked down at Aaron and said, "Oh, don't worry about me. So I got held back in school for three years before coming here."
"You seem pretty big for a 17-year-old," Paul said.
"You kidding me?" the big guy asked. "I've been this size since I was born."
Megan held her mouth open then said, "That poor mother!"
"What's your name, dude?" Kyle asked.
"Jakey," the student said. "Jakey Slabinsky. But you can call me 'Slab' just like my cousin, Jordan."
"Wow," Aaron said. "Okay, Slab. Although, you are really big. What do you plan on doing here?"
"I dunno," Slab said. "Maybe I'll figure it out in class."
"Next!" the photographer said. Then Slab headed towards the seat where his picture will be taken. "What's your name?"
"Jakey Slabinsky," Slab said.
The photographer looked at the list of students and got confused. He then shrugged, checked his name and then took Slab's picture. "Don't forget to wait for your Student ID to be printed." Slab then got out of his seat and walked away. "Next!" Then Megan walked up to the seat and sat down. "What's your name?"
"Megan Williams," Megan responded.
The photographer checked for her name in the checklist then took Megan's picture. "Don't forget to wait for your Student ID to be printed." Megan then walked away. "Next!" Then Paul walked up to the seat and sat down. "What's your name?"
"Paul Jones," Paul said.
The photographer checked for his name in the checklist then took Paul's picture. "Don't forget to wait for your Student ID to be printed." Paul then walked away. "Next!" Then Kyle walked up to the seat and sat down. "What's your name?"
"Kyle Mason," Kyle said.
The photographer then checked for Kyle's name on the checklist then took his picture. "Don't forget to wait for your Student ID to be printed." Then Kyle walked away. "Next!"
"Ladies first," Aaron said. Smolder rolled her eyes and walked up to the seat and sat down.
"What's your name?" the photographer asked.
"Samantha Drake," Smolder said, her arms crossed.
The photographer checked for the name and saw something. He then shrugged his shoulders and then looked into the camera. He then said, "Uncross your arms." Smolder sighed and straightened her arms. Then the photographer took her picture. "Alright, Miss Drake. The Principal wants to see you over in the lobby." Smolder raised an eyebrow in confusion, then she headed towards the lobby. "Next!" Then Aaron walked towards the seat as Smolder walked past him. "What's your name?"
"Aaron Blazer," Aaron responded.
The photographer looked for Aaron's name. He then saw it and said, "Huh. Him, too?" He then shrugged. He then looked into the camera and took Aaron's picture. "Alright, Mister Blazer. The Principal wants you to meet her in the lobby." Aaron shrugged his shoulder and headed towards the lobby.
Aaron met Smolder and the principal in the lobby of the gym. Aaron then said, "Principal Sanders? You wanted to see us?"
"That's right, Mister Blazer," Principal Sanders said. "I was informed by the principal of you and Miss Drake's middle school. How you two are dragons from the show, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic."
"Technically, she is," Aaron said. "I was born human."
"Right," Principal Sanders said. "Well, you two will be awarded with these." Principal Sanders then pulled out two cards that both say, "Free Lunch".
"Free Lunch Passes?" Aaron asked.
"That's right," Principal Sanders said. "You two are basically mascots here." She then looked over at Smolder. "That is if you are wanting to join the Cheerleading Squad, Smolder."
"Hell yeah," Smolder said.
"And what sports are you interested in, Mister Blazer?" Principal Sanders asked.
"I'm a Basketball Player," Aaron said.
"Okay," Principal Sanders said. "I'll have you signed up for Basketball Season in winter. I'll see you both around. Better go get your ID cards." Aaron and Smolder nodded and headed towards where the students would pick up their ID cards. When they got them, they also were handed their Gym Uniforms. The Gym Uniforms consisted of an orange shirt and red stretchy shorts.
"Huh," Smolder said. "I've never thought we'd have to wear a uniform just to do gym class."
"Aunt Marissa is waiting for us," Aaron said. "Let's find Megan and let's go home."
"Ah'm right here," came Megan's voice, walking up with her gym uniform. "Let's head on home, y'all." Then the three teenagers headed towards the parking lot where Aaron's aunt was waiting for them.
