Lost, sorrow, spite, fear and betrayal.

These were the emotions of Princess Luna prior to her transformation into Nightmare Moon. Many know the tale, and even more know how she returned to the light after being sealed for so very long. But that is not the story we tell this night. No, this is another tale, very different from the one we know so well. That fateful night, oh so long ago, when a choice was given and emotions reached a fever pitch, Luna turned away from the darkness.

She ran.

Now alone, a princess without a crown and no subjects to rule, we find our lost and lonely royal travelling far and wide to lands unknown to pony kind. A mare hopeful of finding a new start, and maybe a place to call her own, somewhere within these foreign lands.

Perhaps things will be different in Saddle Arabia, perhaps here, she can finally find peace.
