In the years since ascending to the throne of Equestria, Twilight Sparkle travelled much of the known world. From the azure coasts of the distant west to the endless deserts of Zebrica, at each step in her journey there were always loyal friends at her side. Quite often, they would bring new friends back with them. Twilight's diligent efforts in both magical study and diplomacy furnished Equestria with a new understanding of its place in the wider world.

But some facts - and some friends - are stranger than others, and don't give themselves so easily to understanding. Sometimes, staying out of the public eye is for the best. Not every fascinating creature she's met can follow Twilight home. Even so, friendship is Twilight's calling in life. And what kind of friend would she be if she missed this particular day?

Another overdue birthday gift for Klamnei, based on artwork he commissioned last year. This story follows and adds a little context to the events of Always Bigger, Fish! and is a little lighter on overt fetish content, instead focusing on world and character building. After all the fun speculation in the comments of that story, I had to shed juuuust a little light on what was going on. But not too much. 😇
