The New Six
Time's almost up, old friend.
Load Full StoryNext ChapterDeep in a forest in Northern Equestria, there stands a dilapidated stone tower. Clearly centuries--maybe even millennia of time long past has reduced it to its ruined state, the upper half fallen to the pine-littered ground beside the base. The interior of the base though, surprisingly enough, seems relatively recently disturbed. A few rolled-up scrolls clutter an old counter that has been cleaned of the dirt and dust that coat the surroundings. The moon overhead casts a dim glow on the scene, as well as an old overgrown path--barely recognizable as such--extending from an open doorway at the back of the tower that has long since lost its door.
Following the path out a ways leads to an unassuming clearing, but hidden within an illusory dome in the middle is a much less ordinary sight.
A thin veil of magic encapsulates a scene seemingly caught in time. Large amounts of black and yellow magical energy are stuck, suspended in a swirling motion around the center of the frozen bubble of the past. Standing on the far side, facing the remains of the tower, is a unicorn, similarly immobilized in a prison of motionlessness. Her pelt and mane are a blend of scarlet, pink, and white. Her hair is stopped in a wind-whipped state, and her eyes seem crazed, a wicked grin etched on her face.
The last things she saw can still be seen, the light reflected off her eyes still frozen in time with her. The tower, no longer in a state of disrepair, can be seen tall and proud. A rosy red flare of magic is also visible arcing past the head of a figure standing a few paces in front of her, their horn glowing with the same magic trapping her here. Trapping her here for all these years.
But now, her time was approaching. She was sure of it.
Soon, she would be free from this and fix his mistakes.
