Universal Connections

As a kid you were always told to not cry, to stay strong, that it makes you look weak. But honestly…fuck them all for that. What would they know? They're dead anyway! Besides, you would rather be here alive right now.

But then again, you're in a new world, paralyzed in a pony body, and you saw your planet die. Okay okay..maybe there were disadvantages to being in this new life…

You stop crying as your eyes become dry and dehydrated. Along with it came the feeling to die…

Twilight finally stopped her embrace with you and looked at you with a shy smile, you knew she was trying to reassure you that it will be alright, but you know that eventually you’ll be the one saying: “I told you so…”.

Twilight then stood up, causing you to fall backwards, but she used her magic to put you on her back as she looked behind her withers to meet your broken gaze.

“It’s alright Anon, let's get you to my house where we can get you something to eat..” She said before starting to walk out of the little bundle of trees where the pond laid, the entire time being slow to not tip you over…

You look around with your eyes, trying not to replay the visions you saw back on Earth. The general area was dark, implying you two are deep in a forest, but light, indicating that the sun is still high in the sky. You listen and hear Twi’s hooves, some leaves move in the wind, and also Twilight humming to herself, most likely to keep you calm.

Later your eyes are burned as you exit the forest. GOD PLEASE HAVE MERCY ON MY WEAK SELF! Your eyes slowly adjust and you find yourself walking towards a town. Since you watched the show before Twi came to your world, you knew that this is PonyVille. That reminds you of how she got into your world in the first place…

7th grade you looked out the window of the school bus taking you home…You were depressed, you felt lost and alone, sure you had some friends at school…but at home…nothing. Your two sisters had each other, your older brother was in college, and your parents obviously had each other, thus, you were always alone.

Yea sure you did always want to be alone, but it was because of how annoying your family gets, especially your sisters. You remember all the times your cousin slept over and how you felt happy back then, but you wished he was instead your brother. To always have someone who understands you by your side all the time.

You stood up while the bus stopped at your house, and you walked down the driveway and towards the little path to the front door. The autumn leaves make ruffling noises as your shoes crunched them like a bug. But then a new noise came…and you knew it was not normal-

Your thoughts are interrupted as your ride to the library stops, you open your eyes to see 5 mares all run up to Twilight and start yelling out questions and other things. The voices hurt your disheveled mind, but you know who they are..You feel a little smile get to yourself at that…but none of that now, why are they yelling at Twili-

“WHAT WERE YOU THINKING TWILIGHT!? Going BACK to Anon’s world? Why would you ever do that? There was no point in going back to that….creature!” Dash yelled at Twilight causing her to back up. None of them seem to have noticed you yet, but still…

Ouch…thanks sooooo much for helping my already crushed self esteem Dash….

Since you were on top of Twilight, you could feel her breathing, she stood still and calm like, but you feeling her heavy breathing told you that those words angered her deeply. Makes sense, she and you were very good friends on Earth.

You decide to blow your cover before Twi breaks…

“Y-You do know I’m right here you know?” You say, causing Twi to turn a bit to reveal you to the rest. Now that they finally noticed you, confused looks from all…

“Twi…who’s that?” AppleJack questioned, mimicking the same look from all the others. Your positions on Twi’s tilted body almost make you slip, but Twilight uses her magic to prep you back up on her body.

Twilight’s ears flop back as she pointed a hoof to you.

“T-This..is Anon..” While it sounds cliché, you literally saw their jaws hit the floor. Then came the bombardment of questions, you can't deal with this right now, you need rest…

“H-How? I thought Anon was a human, and how is he here-” Dash tried to speak up before you cut her off.

“After Twilight left my world the first time…my world…turned into death itself…then Twi came. The planet was about to die and explode, so I escaped here..and now…im paralyzed in this new body…” You answer with your eyes closed, trying to hold back the images in your mind.

“J-Just..get me to the library…I need rest..” You say trying to get sleep to take over you, but it doesn’t…being fed all the memories of all the lives of humans. All 8 billion lives are playing in your head, and they all end the same way….a gruesome death..

As Twilight and the girls began walking, your mind finally let sleep take over as more and more memories filled your mind…

Twilight hates this, she hates how every time she looks on her back lies a broken Anon. She remembers how when she was first on Earth, their technology was amazing, and Anon was the best person she ever met.

Anon was a caring, happy, kind human. Always there to help her out in his world. But that just makes her even sadder now, now Anon is…a quiet, scared, alone human. The second time she came to his world, he was like a different person entirely, like he was hiding a darkness inside him ever since she left for the first time.

Her heart tells her to ask him, Are you okay? How did your world turn to hell? But she can’t ask him, she knows she will cause him to just break more, so why does she want to ask. She knows why, to help him, to give him a second life in this amazing world. If only he told her the truth of everything.

Twilight finally noticed her blurry vision and wiped her messy tears away with her hoof before keeping the walk to her library. Remembering the Anon she used to know, it brings her back to when they first met….

You turned around from the noise. Yes you heard tree nuts and squirrels go past the autumn leaves. But this noise was different. You couldn’t tell what you were looking at, it was like the entire world decided to show you its power and beauty.

A purple flashing light was upon you, you didn’t know whether to be honored, or confused…

Then the light faded away, and showed…..what..? You know her, Twilight Sparkle, she's from that show you watch! But…HOW? Are your world connected, is she real or your depressed mind tricking you...

It's really….her…shes..in my world…my dark, cold, and evil world….
