Naughty Princesses: The Return of the Great Mother
A cult thought lost in the annals of history is now preparing to take over Equestria once again! Long ago, in a time of war and fragmentation, amidst chaos and strife, a mysterious cult emerged in Equestria that worshiped an ancient artifact that its devotees called the "Obelisk". This artifact served as a sort of signpost for the ponies who blindly believed in it, as it spoke through the chosen pony to the followers of the necessary actions on their part. The new head of the cult at one time also received her title from the obelisk itself, which by that time had acquired a new name, namely, “Mother’s Heart”, while the pony chosen by this artifact was a kind of “oracle” - a guide between the ponies and the ancient artifact. One day, the current keeper of the relic said to all the ministers of the cult:
"To stop the misfortunes in our lands, the cult must tame and take under its wing two mad and heartless titans of the sun and moon! Under the wing of the cult and the care of the "Mother's Heart" they will stop warring and become what they were before their madness, sweet and obedient children!"
The cult of that time was full of blind determination, which in turn was fueled by their numbers, and without hesitation went to "curb the Titans", declaring this to the whole world. But all this led to an even greater tragedy ... None of the ordinary believers understood how this could happen, since all the ponies were confident in the victory of the cult. The reigning dynasty of that time was forced to suppress the so-called "uprising", and in a very cruel way, because in fact all the members of the cult could not really fight and were ordinary civilians. Then hundreds, if not thousands, of ordinary ponies, pegasi and unicorns blinded by faith were turned into stone. To prevent such a thing from happening again, all members of the cult, proclaimed "heretics", were turned into stone for this very reason. The only mention of those terrible events was the sculpture garden in the Canterlot palace park. All relics and the "black bible" were burned. And so, after ten days of endless, horrific sentences and the destruction of literature on the square, the largest of those existing in the capital of Equestria, a lull set in, which, unfortunately, did not last long. Later, the rulers were informed that the current head of the cult had managed to escape, just as the so-called obelisk itself had never been found.
All the following decades passed quietly and peacefully, but the ruling rulers could not live in peace and continued to insist on finding the "witch of the cult"! At the same time, the keeper of the "Mother's Heart" who was hiding in a very remote village, settled down as an ordinary servant of the church and secretly raised the so-called "new children" who would continue the mission entrusted to her to "tame" the two titans who dared to rule Equestria with their power. Having made sure that she was left alone, the defeated mare, who still managed to save the obelisk "Mother's Heart", said with conviction:
"No matter how many centuries pass, how many generations of the guardians of the "Mother's Heart" will replace each other, but I swear that one day we will fulfill our mission and the mad titans will return to their mother to be good foals again! With the Great Mother, our dear Equestria will no longer have to fear the dark mages who appear every now and then, having crawled out from the depths of centuries or having become angry with the solar and lunar titans."
Sighing, the mare checked the Mother's Heart once more, and then, albeit paranoid, checked the outskirts for Titan spies who might reveal the current location of the pathetic remnants of the cult that had so unsuccessfully attempted to realize its purpose and suffered a crushing defeat, losing almost all of its supporters. However, despite the difficulties, this defeat should serve as a good lesson to all future generations who would join the cause of the Great Mother.
More than one century has passed since those ill-fated times. The cult that should have been cut out at the root earlier had once again gained strength, but continued to remain silent, since the current new head of the cult, who inherited the title of "Mother's Heart", was more cautious than ever, and the events happening on the surface gave other members of the now entire organization a reason to remain silent. For they needed a moment when peace would come to Equestria for several decades, and not chaos and unrest. For many, chaos would be a much better moment to strike, but not for the cult. Their members have long been in the necessary positions, and the necessary number of secret passages and threads that they have woven during this time are already enough to cause an economic and trade crisis in the country. Entering his leader, one of the higher-ranking members of the cult once again said:
"Mrs. Mother's Heart, I believe it is time for us to come out of the shadows!"
"No, I can imagine the scale of the defeat too well! We will be able to begin our work only when there is peace in Equestria for many decades, for chaos and disorder will only hinder us and the Titans will not be pacified."
The head of the cult, knowing about the past defeat from books and stories of her predecessor, who heard it from her predecessor and so on into the depths of centuries, because of which, in fact, she continued to insist on caution, and not to attract unnecessary attention. In addition to the inherited title, she also received two others: "Cautious Mother" and "Hardworking Mother". These two titles were also bestowed on her by the obelisk, and with them incredible power. Having expressed his respect, the cult member left, and the leader of the organization heard the voice of the mare, who said:
"You are a good girl for being careful! Be on your guard, my dear, do not miss the chance to realize the mission that I have entrusted to you and your supporters."
"My Goddess, I understand all the risks! That's why I try to catch the most ideal moment to bring your task to life."
Thanks to the gifts of the Goddess, the great power allowed the current keeper of the obelisk "Mother's Heart" to confidently lead any of the members of this organization, which over the centuries had greatly increased in the number of supporters. The current head, like a siren, with her incredibly gentle and motherly voice, so viscous and sweet, like honey, could take anyone under her control and give orders that the controlled pony carried out unquestioningly. Soon another member of the organization came in and said with respect to the main mare:
"Mistress Mother's Heart, we have prepared a volume of sketches with designs for the foals' clothing, as you ordered."
"Very well, now sort the sketches so that they fit the two Titans and their two most important followers: the Alicorn of Love and the Alicorn of Friendship." The head of the organization gave the following order with a very satisfied smile.
"I hear and obey, mistress." The pony answered obediently, after which, having expressed respect with a gesture, he left the cult leader to carry out the task he had received.
But the leader of the organization remained cautious, and only when she was informed that all the personifications of the elements of harmony had gathered in Canterlot Castle along with other "undesirable elements" who could cause problems, did she decide to take the first step, which would show whether the organization was truly ready to carry out the mission entrusted to them centuries ago by the goddess that the cult members revered so much. Now or never!
