The Search For Sunset Shimmer
Chapter 4
Previous ChapterConcert tours swept across every corner of Ethernity City, to celebrate the reconstruction efforts of the now-acting mayor, Mezzo Soprano. After the ex-president of the city's largest conglomerate had been deposed with his corruption thoroughly exposed, a new era was to dawn for the people, further bolstered by the reactivation of the Elements of Harmony. Yet with gangs and other criminals sweeping out into the open to take advantage of the power vacuum, and armed police being released alongside large exo-suits to try and keep the peace, a fresh sense of unease had started to spread once again.
Crowds filled the streets of uptown, traffic jammed in all directions. Shouts and honks filled the air. Wrecks caused by the 'Techno-Witch' certainly hadn't helped. Radius Rex kept his distance from the thick of the action while he snapped up pictures, sure the witch must still be nearby.
To track her movements he made his way down the blocks, closer to the venue where the infamous S.L.U.T. band played. According to his sources, Eclipsed Heart, leader of their rival band B.A.B.E, had recently been seen with them while their other members, Wispy Willow and Kitsune of the Nine-Tails, were mysteriously absent. Definitely an intriguing story there too, but not important compared to what he sought!
Punks from the Halloween Party gang blended with many of the S.L.U.T. fans, many of them dressed up in leather and chains or covered in tattoos as they waited with the mob about the concert building. Rex quickly slid around the building, dodging security before climbing a fence which landed him in the back alley.
He huffed as he felt a little winded but held his breath to quiet himself. His attention was soon drawn though as he faintly heard some voices nearby. Moving as stealthy as possible, he hid behind a corner before peering over, seeing some Halloween Party punks alongside the leader of the S.L.U.T. band.
“...You can always come back,” offered one of the Halloween Party punks.
“Get real,” answered Carrion Hellfire, a leaned and toned woman who resembled a 'cyber-harpy'. Her short spiky mane was half-shaved, her spiked metal bikini-style cybernetics fused into her otherwise bare frame, and her teeth sharp and metallic. “I left that life behind a long time ago!” She waved a thin but muscled arm at them, adorned by a blade-like curved wing plume.
“I remember when you were just anorexic street trash that used to eat out of dumpsters!” One of the goons barked back, while Rex recorded the conversation with his cellphone. “A junkie that used to self-mutilate! We helped put your outfit together when we formed Halloween Party, but now you think you're better than us!”
“I've never run or hid from my past!” She yelled back. “And I am better than you! You've torn across the city and put it even further on edge! Why don't you slags-”
She paused as with her cyber-enhanced eyes she spotted the punk beginning to reach for a weapon beneath his jacket, and in one swift motion she slammed her fist into his face, the punk roaring as his nose was crunched from the blow. Staggering backward, the punk clutched his nose, blood oozing between his fingers.
“YOU BROKE MY-!”
The punk was unable to finish his sentence as Carrion knocked in two more blows to his head, knocking him unconscious. The other thugs quickly moved in with switchblades and other small arms as they all yelled out a war cry, while Carrion only formed a grin and chuckled.
She appeared between two thugs before grabbing each of them with her arms, her sharp feather-like blades slashing them as she quickly slammed both of them into the ground. A punk threw a knife at her, only for her to block and then return fire with her serrated feather knives, the thug yelling as metal embedded itself into his arm before he was cut off as Carrion jumped and slammed him with her knee.
By now, some of the more weak-minded punks began to slowly back away; even with the non-life-threatening injuries, she meant business. But now that she was on the opposite side of the alley, blocking their exit, there was nothing much they could do but keep fighting.
“If you really wanted me back, stop being wimps and face me!” Carrion taunted. This triggered them to rush at her again, with her quickly and efficiently knocking down everyone that came her way. Hot blood splashed and soaked the asphalt red, as she punched and cleaved at the band of wild attackers.
Finally, one managed to get in range as he slammed his knife into her chest through her jacket. Glee filled his face only to be surprised as Carrion simply pushed him and the knife back before removing her coat, revealing her metal bikini entirely, complete with pointy tips on the top to match her nipples.
“Next time kid, aim for the neck!” The harpy stated, before grabbing his face and slamming him down onto the ground.
Within a few more moments it was all over, as every punk laid around her shiny-booted feet. Looking at one that was still conscious, she knelt before staring into his eyes.
“Next time you think about facing me, don’t.” She warned before turning around to head back to the building. Radius, who was busy looking at the pictures he had taken of the brawl, quickly sprung into action as he raced to follow her. He followed her through the shadows before seeing her enter a door, which he barely managed to slip through as it automatically closed.
He knew he’d potentially be fined and even sent to prison if caught, but that hardly mattered to him. As long as he got the story before Skippy did then it didn’t matter if he ultimately got kicked out from his business, he would get to the Techno-Witch first!
He followed Carrion's trail to the dressing rooms where the door was left open. Carrion slid in to meet her fellow band members, one of them named Riptide Ruth, a massive, muscular shark woman who tinkered with some of the band's equipment in one corner.
“Welcome back love,” said Ruth. “Gear's all in order. Triple-checked. Just wanted to make some last-minute tune-ups.”
“Go ahead,” said Carrion, who toweled off splotches of blood on her shiny metal bikini. Obrya Slithervane, their final member, stared at the red splotches.
“You okay?” She too stood incredibly tall, since the lamia's marked snake tail was forced to curl up when she fit into the room despite its expanse. Lime-colored, thin waves of locks trailed down the half-serpent woman's body, which was naked aside from a few scales which bled into her naked skin. “Want me to take a look, sweetie pie?”
“It's mostly from the poor bastards that picked a scrap with me,” Carrion stated as Obrya slithered over, her bare, suspended breasts heavily swaying, tipped by thick nipples.
“Halloween Party, I take it?” Obrya asked, to which Carrion nodded. “They've been all over the place lately!”
“The whole bloody city's gonna turn into hell at this rate,” said Carrion before spitting into a nearby sink.
“There,” said Ruth, who patted one of her machines. “We're on in five minutes. Get ready.”
Obrya flicked her serpentine tongue seductively with half-narrowed eyes before smiling. “Time to knock 'em dead!” The band's poster girl said as she seductively shook her voluminous, bare breasts, which bounced wildly. For many, the former circus performer was the main draw of these concerts! They readied themselves to move out, to which Radius Rex ducked back behind a corner before they could spot him.
S.L.U.T., known for its abrasive style, tended to draw in youth culture. Groupies were all too ready to tear their clothes off, hoping that Obrya's tail would pull them by the waist onto the stage and take them for a 'ride' on its length, since her coil was covered in scales and silky smooth on the underside. Discordant, hard-edge music started to thunder about the concert arena as the three of them made their entrance into the darkened room, which shook once the intense noise pounded away.
Gore and fake blood rained from above, onto the skulls and bones which decorated the floor. Carrion Hellfire, Riptide Ruth, and Obrya Slithervane picked up their instruments, shouted to the crowds which went wild, and started to play, while Radius Rex watched from behind the scenes. “I'd prefer the classics,” he quipped and adjusted his straw hat and tie.
In the midst of the crowd, Sunset Shimmer and Vinyl Scratch, due to their connections, had scored some last-minute tickets. Around them, the crowd screamed, trashed, and sweated. Not too far removed from the DJ's own club when it went wild, which the 'Techno-Witch' had senselessly ripped apart.
“Not my usual type of music,” admitted Sunset at the cacophony of deep screams.
“I like all kinds of music,” replied Vinyl, who leaned in so she could hear her over the noise. “But I'm sure you came for the show!” She slid her hands onto Sunset's stomach below her short shirt.
“True that,” mumbled Sunset with a crooked smile, as her lover’s palms slid up to cup her bare breasts below her blouse. Gently, the DJ squeezed them since all eyes were locked on the feral band. She slowly drew circles around her areola, causing Sunset to moan as her nipples stiffened to fullness at her sly touch.
Quite a few women were already partially or completely disrobed, girls that hoped the lesbian band would pick them as they pressed as close as possible to Obrya, who shimmied above due to scales under the lights.
The DJ tweaked Sunset's nipples before whispering into her ear. “Hot shit, isn't she?”
“Y-yeah,” whispered Sunset huskily. The DJ's translucent unicorn horn suddenly materialized, and a phantom hand started to slide beneath Sunset's skirt, where she rubbed at the thin fabric which stuck to her slit, her cameltoe visible and soon moist when she started to idly trace the taut, puffy snatch.
“Time to play you like an instrument,” teased Vinyl, who sucked on her ear while she felt her up. She slid her magical aura beneath Sunset's panties and started to trace circles around her mound and clit. Sunset squirmed, chewing on her lower lip, and moaned, her peach-like ass pressed back to the DJ's crotch.
“It's...not fair I'm the only one...at the mercy of...oh~...” She clenched her holes with another cry.
Frustrated by the way the DJ teased her, Sunset's subconscious worked overtime. With the advent of the Elements of Harmony, her own buried potential began to manifest, her own transparent unicorn horn soon appearing atop her skull. Orange phantom hands started to tear off the DJ's clothes, her breasts first freed with a heavy bounce, followed by her butt and bare mound as Sunset swiftly, almost violently, stripped the DJ that toyed with her, causing Vinyl’s eyes to widen.
“Sunset! You have a horn, too!” Vinyl yelled before being interrupted by her own moan as the spectral palms started to fondle her all over, her supple flesh rolled and molested freely. The two women playfully warred for dominance, as more arcanic magic surfaced around them. Soon, their cutie marks started to appear, emblazed partially across their hips and buttocks to brand them.
They soon lost themselves completely in the moment, pressed closer to the band as they unknowingly forced the crowds to part. Their hands wandered openly, their lips pressed to meet with a wet smack.
Obrya's half-lidded, snake-like eyes soon spotted the pair of bisexual women, to which she licked her mouth with her tongue.
“Delicious~,” she hissed. Her tail shot out and scooped them up. They were planted on her tail with a plop, their bare, wet, and sticky pussies pressed onto the scales as they mounted Obray's thick coil which twitched below them.
The snake woman's maw met theirs in a three-way kiss, her tongue slithering down their throats as she started to fondle them. Grinding atop her tail, Sunset and Vinyl left a slimy trail of their lust down the coil which dripped, rolled, and smeared her shiny scales as they rode her.
“My latest sluts~,” teased Obrya, who squeezed and spanked at their firmly held tits and asses. Their hot, wet pussies pressed onto her tail, rolled across it, and they shivered between their moans. Her mouth slid lower with delicate kisses, where she took their titties into her mouth and suckled on them heartily before she released the saliva-drenched tits with wet, lewd pops. “Such perfect skin~! So sweet~!”
Small squirts splashed across the snake's tail, both women putty in Obrya's hands. Carrion Hellfire cheered her on while she strummed at her axe and shouted into the mic, while Ruth's muscular arms beat at drums, the machines shooting plumes of flames into the sky amidst piles of skulls which served as morbid props.
Meanwhile, in a new hidden location, Radius Rex let out a bored sigh while absentmindedly zooming his camera onto Sunset’s face, which warped in ecstasy.
“Ugh, where's that blasted witch? It would help if these people played some actually good tunes.” He muttered as he impatiently tapped a foot, barely able to take the erratic noise the youth these days called 'music'!
At this point, Obrya lifted Sunset up by the hips, her thighs spread wide open and wrapped around the snake woman's face as her elongated tongue sank into her pink pussy and spread it open. Her licks drew circles around her walls and tickled her slimy folds as she flicked at her cervix. Sunset squirmed, arced her breasts with her head tossed back, and squealed when she squirted into her maw, which Obrya slurped up while she fondled her squishy buttocks and lust ran down her chin. She drove her hips hard into Slithervane's face when she rode out an intense, messy climax.
Sliding down Obrya's bare breasts, Vinyl also harshly rode her tail, gushes of the DJ's arousal sloshed from her cunt as she came over the fans. Sunset and Vinyl happily submitted to Obrya's sensuous touch, happy to be her submissive sluts for a time. The concert had barely started, and already S.L.U.T. put on the show of a lifetime!

Outside the venue, mobs swarmed around the concert hall. Skippy, Beretta, and Starr arrived on the chaotic scene, easily able to blend in with all the wildly dressed people that were reveling in a party that spilled across the streets, with the local authorities unable to completely keep them in check. Cars and motorbikes were parked all over the streets, with the three of them barely able to make headway.
“Chances are we'll never be able to find Sunset if she's here,” lamented Beretta.
“Don't lose hope sister,” replied Starr. “These situations tend to work themselves out!”
“At least there's plenty to see,” noted Skippy, who rapidly snapped more pictures. Lots of people were in costumes or otherwise elaborately dressed. Some, as Skippy noticed, had pseudo or full-on anthropomorphic forms, their exotic and often beautiful forms on display.
Advertisements for several bands that played in the area flashed around each corner. S.L.U.T., B.A.B.E., Sixth Measure, the Dazzlings, and several other groups and stars which Skippy mostly knew from trashy tabloids she'd checked out to study the competition for the paper she worked for. The news industry was sadly going towards death’s door, yet there were still those like her and Radius Rex who raced to try and capture the headline title for a dwindling audience!
Not far from the mass of bodies, more Halloween Party members raced onto the scene. Immediately, heavily armed cyber police moved to track them, which included the massive exo-suits that towered above.
“All it would take was a small spark to set off a riot.” Skippy thought to herself as she watched before she swallowed hard.
“All this military hardware makes me uncomfortable too,” said Starr. “It reminds me of old times.”
“That's why we packed heat,” reminded Beretta. “We're pretty much weapons, anyway!” Beretta said before looking at Skippy. “In accordance with the old laws, we're considered property. Will the new mayor alter that?”
“Can't really say. Never met her,” said Skippy to the gynoid sisters. “But she can't be worse than the last one!” She bunny hopped closer, into the thick of the action, curious what went on inside the concerts. Beretta and Starr pushed apart the crowds to follow her when they also moved closer to the complex.
Shouts came from up ahead from the side of the building. Skippy came close as she was able as her camera lens zoomed in on an automatic door that slid open with a whirr. Security guards grabbed a familiar short and stocky man by the shoulders, before tossing him down the steps onto the street.
“Don't come back, pervert,” warned one of them. “Or else we'll have charges pressed!”
The man in the hat dusted himself off. “I'm not a damn pervert,” protested Rex with a hearty shake of his fist. “I'm simply after a scoop!”
“Again, no reporters allowed!” The guard yelled before stepping back inside while the door zipped closed behind them.
“Grrr! Radius Rex!” spat Skippy as she looked at her old rival. Hearing her growl, the older man turned his head in her direction before chuckling.
“Aha! Good to see I'm on the right track, Skips!” He said once he marched over to her, despite the snarl on her freckled face. “Huh.” He said when he looked to Beretta and Starr, his eyes creased. “Hey now, you two look kinda like-”
“Just a coincidence,” assured Beretta, before Skippy jumped in.
“So, tossed out on your fat butt already?” The bunny reported asked. He chuckled before pulling out a piece of straw and chewing on it, to which she twitched her eyes.
“Yeah, flew too close to the sun and all that. At least they didn't destroy my camera! Got a ton of nice pics that'll shoot me to the top story this week!” Rex said when he playfully shook his camera in front of her before pocketing it back for safety. Skippy simply scoffed before gesturing behind her.
“Please. With all the chaos around us?” Skippy tilted her head at the exo-suits in the distance. Rex simply looked for a moment before shrugging.
“Sure Skip, sure. But we both know this ain’t the biggest news on the block. You're on her tail too, aren't you? Sunset Shimmer, who'll lead us to the 'Techno-Witch!'” He exclaimed proudly before smirking at Skippy. “Hey, I usually work alone, but maybe we can team up and pool our resources, and split the rewards?” Radius cheekily smiled at his rival who frowned.
“No way! I'd sooner have us both lose, old man!” Skippy said as she petulantly stamped a foot.
“Come on,” cut in Starr with her soft-spoken voice. “He doesn't seem bad. Mister...?”
“Radius Rex!” He said gleefully as he offered his hand, which she shook, followed by Beretta. “Skippy's been on my case from the moment we've met! Jealous that I'll overtake her!”
“Fat chance,” spat Skippy. “Just stay out of my way! The 'Techno-Witch' story is all mine!”
“It's a free country,” reminded Rex soberly with a nibble on his straw. “At least, that's what the new mayor claims. Not that I really believe her, with all this military hardware and police presence about. Watch your back, okay?”
“You too,” said Starr, who frowned when she watched him turn and leave. Beretta shook her head before looking at Skippy who kept a pout on her face.
“Why do you dislike him so much? Don't tell me his claims are true?” Beretta asked.
“What, that I envy him?” Skippy asked before scoffing. “Don't be ridiculous! Rex's been in the business forever, and I'll admit I've learned some stuff from him, but I- He annoys me, that's all!” Skippy yelled as she threw her hands up.
Of course, she knew it was irrational, but unbeknownst to anybody but her, he had unintentionally showed her up in the past and she never fully put that behind her.
“I hope he'll be okay,” said Starr. “These are troubled times we live in!”
“He can take care of himself,” assured Skippy. Like her, Rex didn't carry a weapon, but from what she'd seen he sure could run! Already, Rex had disappeared deep into the crowds, where he continued to fish for the 'Techno-Witch'.

“And all of them are unaware of how just how close by we are.”
From another rooftop, Poly-MaTrix and Media-Trix overlooked the area. The brim of her hat shadowed the sun above as the 'Techno-Witch' observed the mortals like she was a Goddess, with Media-Trix as her herald, someone to speak to and share her troubles with when she felt particularly vulnerable.
She'd already altered a number of advertisements along the way, an easy breadcrumb trail for her pursuers to follow.
“Of course, by the time anybody figures that out, my plan will already have been set in motion.” The ‘Techno Witch’ proclaimed, before chuckling as she stroked Media’s mane with a magic-laden hand. “Don't worry,” she told her shorter creation. “I don't intend to kill anyone.”
“But you’ll still end up hurting people.” reminded Media-Trix somberly. Yet she went ignored like usual, Poly's eyes left to scan across the roads for new arrivals, like a snake waiting for travelers to pounce on. Millions of numbers flowed through her eyes whenever probabilities were rapidly crunched and calculated, the 'Techno Witch' ready to 'Hex' more systems to put on a real showstopper to wow the masses.
“Given time, they'll all worship me like a Goddess, or else, they'll face my wrath!” Poly-MaTrix stated before letting out a cackle.
Her eyes suddenly darted downwards when multiple airborne drones slowly flew from the buildings, unintentionally towards her since they scanned for any potential troubles. Before any of them could even take footage of her, the Techno-Witch swiftly overrode their systems, feeding false videos so that the two of them would remain invisible to anyone watching the cams until the time was ready. A spark of inspiration quickly struck Poly, who smiled wickedly.
“And why stop at staying invisible when I can become even more omniscient!” Poly exclaimed as she further hacked into the system, and soon thousands of different video and audio feeds coursed through her mind.
“Of course, any other mind would melt under this load, but I am special~!” Poly exclaimed, as Media silently rolled her eyes. Poly smiled as she quickly skimmed through all the footage, including that showed what the other bands were doing. Eclipsed Heart, Wispy Willow, and Kitsune of the Nine-Tails worked overtime to entertain their many fans nearby, as were the other bands that played their hearts out.
Her attention was soon brought up to her one of many new eyes as a spy drone zoomed into a section that had been cornered off from the rest of the city. Experts were doing their best to study a multicolored rift in reality, not unlike the one she and Media-Trix recently arrived in.
Her thoughts came back to the B.A.B.E. members, as to how often they were missing between tours. Had the band members stumbled upon one and explored this nexus in reality, too? From what she'd been able to ascertain, B.A.B.E. once performed vigilante work in secret in the dead of night, until the current mayor, Mezzo Soprano, cut them a deal where they now secretly worked for her.
“And for what? Just because they ‘legally serve justice’ from the shadows doesn’t put them above common criminals. Would be just better for everyone if I overthrew that Mezzo off her high note.”
She thought for a moment before letting out another laugh.
“Nah, screw them all. A GOD doesn’t care about anything. I’ll just entertain myself by pulling this city one riot after another.” Poly stated before viewing every single person that she could through her hacked drones.
“Won’t matter whether you’re sleeping, eating, working, even fucking, you’ll all become my servants for my entertainment,” Poly stated with a malicious sneer of a smile. “For when night falls, things will certainly get interesting~!”
