You thought I was doing WHAT the whole time?!

Discord stood in the Canterlot throne room where his friends confronted him over pretending to be Grogar and setting up three villains to attack them to prepare for Twilight's ascension.

"You've been setting up challenges for us this whole time haven't you? None of our successes were actually real!" Twilight accused Discord.

"Wait, you think WHAT?!" Discord couldn't believe what Twilight was accusing him of.

"Every single time me and my friends have faced a problem, it was YOU causing it!" Twilight pointed her hoof at Discord.

"Wha- How far back are you THINKING Twilight?!" Discord asked the princess of friendship.

"Well, eh. The whole time!" Twilight stated.

"Oh, so you think I was never 'evil'? I was just testing you so you would know that friendship is always worth fighting for?" Discord asked Twilight.

"Well, uh...... I mean, it could be possible!" Twilight told Discord.

"Just because something CAN be possible doesn't mean it is! What challenges do you think I personally set up for you?" Discord asked.

"Well....... There was the Hydra, the bugbear, the cockatrice," Twilight continued to list off monsters she and the girls faced.

"Those were all monsters you were just unfortunate enough to bump into!" Discord claimed to Twilight, who was still grasping over what was reality.

"Ok, well what about the big bads like Nightmare Moon? Or the pony of shadows?" Twilight suggested.

"Luna is standing right in front of you! Of course she's real!" Discord yelled.

"No, I mean she could have only returned from the moon after 'Nightmare Moon' was defeated!" Twilight speculated.

"I can confirm that I did return as Nightmare Moon, and once I reverted I felt truly sorry for my actions." Luna stated to Twilight.

"And the same goes for Stygian as well." Discord added.

"But what about the other villains we've faced and defeated?" Twilight asked Discord.

"Oh, so you think Sunset Shimmer isn't real?" Discord asked Twilight.

"Well, uh....." Twilight was a bit confused.

"Or Trixie? Or Tempest? Or STARLIGHT." Discord asked Twilight.

"Uh.........." Twilight muttered.

"They do still exist! I didn't make them up I swear!" Discord stated to the princesses.

"Ok..... Well what about the ones that didn't reform? Like Sombra, or The Storm King?" Twilight asked the chaos lord.

"Both times Sombra attacked I did not fabricate him, when I bought him back it was for real. I just knew he was going to attack on his own and used it to my advantage to train you. And do you really think I would go out of my way to create an army, enslave hundreds of kingdoms, and take in a broken horned unicorn as my prodigy for years just to teach you a lesson? What kind of Draconequus do you think I am?" Discord asked the friendship princess.

"Even so, how do we know that this just isn't another one of your 'tests'? How do we know you really lost your magic and that Chrysalis, Tirek, and Cozy aren't more of your puppets?" Twilight confronted the spirit of disharmony.

"What can I do to prove it to you?! I swear the bell is real and they are planning on attacking with it right now! If I had known they were going to betray me I would have sent them to Tartarus! But as you can see right now I can't!" Discord stated, as he snapped his fingers, which did nothing.

"Ok......... But what about the Dazzlings? How could they have survived all those years in the human world when time should have made them older?" Twilight asked the chaos spirit.

"It was their natural magic that was keeping them alive! I had nothing to do with the Dazzlings either!" Discord stated.

"What challenges DID you set up for Twilight?!" Celestia roared at Discord.

"Nothing except the Grogar thing I swear!" Discord promised to the princesses.

"And why should we believe you?! You have been known to lie to us all the time!" Luna cried out to Discord.

"What do I have to gain by lying to you?! I have no magic! I just want this problem to be dealt with just like the rest of you!" Discord insisted.

"Well, If that's the case, then why did you chose to challenge me directly NOW all of a sudden?" Twilight asked the spirit of chaos and disharmony.

"Well it's your coronation! This is your greatest achievement yet! And I wanted to make sure you achieved it with a bang! That is why I set up a team of villains to attack you so that when you do defeat them, you'll feel more confident then ever in running your kingdom, because you know you'll have the strength to protect it! All the other times a villain attacked and I did nothing was because I knew you could handle it on your own! If things got serious and you weren't able to do it then I would have stepped in and solved the issue but that is it! I swear!" Discord insisted to the princesses and his friends.

"Give us ONE good reason why we should take your word for it!" Celestia demanded Discord.

"Because if I really WERE to organize all those challenges for Twilight, that wouldn't be very CHAOTIC now would it?......" Discord stated.

"Well, I guess not............ But......... Why couldn't you just let me celebrate my coronation? You know I've done a lot to protect Equestria, you didn't need to test me like that........" Twilight told Discord.

"Sigh........ I know........... And it was the biggest mistake I've ever made......... And I promise, I'll make it up to you." Discord promised his friends.

"Yeah, I KNEW Discord wouldn't be smart enough to set up ALL of our challenges." Rainbow Dash smugly stated.

"It takes a LOT of intelligence to pull off something like that!" Pinkie exclaimed.

"Oh come on! I know I messed up but do you have to mock my intellect like that?" Discord asked his friends.

"Hmmm............. Yup, you're the spirit of chaos not the spirit of brightness." Applejack stated.

"................ Fair enough........" Discord sheepishly admitted............
