Eris sensed the pony’s seed racing its way towards her core, and made certain her body released a little part of her to meld with a little part of him. She could shove them together right now, but it was more interesting to let it happen naturally. She sat in mid-air, back humped and body curled in thought, tapping her chin with a claw again. Equestria had so many cute little wonders, whereas her world had so few, in spite of Equestria’s finite size. Decorating her world could be fun.

She didn’t bother checking the future before acting; if borrowing a pony was fine, then taking some trinkets for herself would likely go entirely unnoticed. The most important question was what to take. She didn’t want to clutter her precious, infinite world with junk. She flicked her right wrist and waved her paw around. Instead of a portal in mid-air, this time she summoned a view of Equestria that shimmered through the water beneath her. The green stuff in that garden looked nice, she believed grass to be the word for it, and she saw some ponies lying on it while another ate some for a moment. The grass was uniform, everywhere the same colour, height, and kind. That was boring.

She waved her paw around and the watery view became inscrutable, as if a pebble had fallen into it. She was now looking at a very different part of Equestria, some settlement of some sort fit for a single pony. The grass there was of a very different kind. The dark green and yellow colours were hard to differentiate, the grass varied in height constantly, and there were other shapes, colours, and sizes strewn about with it. This was perfect. She wiggled her claws and digits before gingerly dipping them into the view, ripping up a contiguous region of the grass and rolling it in on itself as the view scrolled above it, then pulling it out to reveal brown and small life underneath it. She pulled it through the view and held it close before herself, and marvelled at it. It contained life of so many varieties, some so small it was hard to see the individual cells at first; even the grass, she realized, was alive in its own way.

She gently set her prize to hover, and unrolled it. Infinity stretched in all directions with a meaninglessness made all the more apparent by the small rectangle of grass floating within. She awkwardly bent her leg to set a hoof on it, and the alien feeling had her set her hindclaw on it for comparison. She straightened herself, grabbed her hips, and admired the sensation. It was a start.

By now, Eris had also taken a ladder, and modified it to stretch indefinitely. She would never have a use for a ladder, but art was supposed to be meaningful unto itself. She’d also found an area full of sand in all directions, at least for a decent span, and an interesting tree growing alongside other, prickly trees. Nopony would care that she’d ripped out the tree and the soil containing its roots for herself; she enjoyed watching the sand run down and away from the floating island so much, and had been so sad when it ran out, so she had waved her paws around to make more sand, forever, and could watch it flow whenever she wanted.

She had a few other ideas of things she wanted, but her attention turned inward. She and the pony had become one in her body, she knew so, because she could feel the soul that had entered existence. She’d never before had two souls in her body, not at once anyway, and she had stuck out her serpentine tongue in delight when she’d first felt it happen in her belly. There was only one problem. While the cell divisions were interesting, and the attachment to her body intriguing, the new life within her seemed totally unwilling to do anything else. Was she just supposed to wait? That was boring, far far too boring.

She put her paw and claw over her belly, and made time quicken for that part of her body. Her belly began to swell and press against her. She saw the cell divisions in perfect clarity, becoming ever more complex and specialized. She felt the magic flow out of her body and into its through the umbilical cord. She specifically ignored a holistic view of the little draconequus she was growing inside of her; that would also be very interesting, and she wanted to savour the experience over as long a time as possible. She made time in her belly slow until it ran as quickly as for the rest of her once again. She felt the fetus quicken, and squealed in delight.

She pressed in all over her new bump to feel and annoy the life therein. Eventually, it had enough of that, and struck out with all the effort it could muster. Eris could see the clear outline of a small foot poking out from the top of her swollen self. “A foot, huh? No no no, that won’t do. You should have a hoof like me.” Eris stuck out an individual claw and made a show of twirling it before touching the little foot, which slowly lost its shape as it widened and deformed; it struck out again, even further this time, and she could both feel and see a tiny cleft running down its middle, before it tired and receded back under her skin. “Ooh, a cleft hoof, cute.” Eris patted herself where that hoof had been moments earlier. “Don’t worry about it, you can always change it back later.”

She spent however long enjoying the squirming sensation, but her attention turned outward. There was one more thing she wanted from Equestria, a mirror, a fancy mirror even. She could conjure one based on the examples she’d seen, admire her reflection in the water, or create a perfect clone of herself to observe before banishing it, but none of those would be good enough. There had been a structure, the word was castle, near those gardens where she’d collected her child’s father; that building was certain to have a nice mirror in it, buildings often did. She flicked her right wrist and balanced on one leg, waving her remaining three limbs, her tail, and her neck as she brought about another entrance to that other world. This entrance took the form of a floating crystal, with each surface showing a slightly different view; some were distorted, some showed different times than others, but many merely showed different perspectives of the same place. She stuck a single claw on the very top of her new crystal, and spun it with her paw, then watching as uncountable sights flashed before her eyes in it. There was a nice mirror. She stuck a second claw out to grab it, which scraped along the sides; Eris couldn’t care less if somepony somewhere sometime somehow felt a gust of wind or a chill from that scratch.

It was a very pretty mirror, with an ornate and dark blue frame that had a red gem in the very top. It would be a perfect addition to her world, allowing her to marvel at herself no differently than how mortals do. Still, Eris hesitated. Somepony was bound to notice the missing mirror, so she instead made a copy; the crystal grew in size as views of the mirror came to take up all of its surfaces, and the crystal soon shattered into large fragments, leaving only the mirror’s copy behind. She willed it to stand just beyond the patch of grass she’d taken, and began to use it for its one and only purpose.

She looked the same as ever, sans the bump poking out of her, and the navel poking out of it. She twirled in place, keeping her head looking at her reflection no matter how many times her neck twisted. She was beautiful, probably the most beautiful entity to ever exist, but she already knew that. She rested her claw and paw on the top of her bump, and changed her stance to look at one side and then the other. It was as unnecessary as anything else she did, but she stuck her hands behind her back and stuck her gut out further, as she had seen other mortals do. She struck other poses, like sitting with only her tail touching the grass and bent to resemble a chair for the rest of her; she later made silly faces in the mirror, such as stretching her mouth horizontally with a digit and claw before flopping her long tongue up and down, and continued to laugh at her previous reflection until it decided to join her in the mirth.

Still, like in all things, eventually Eris was bored again.

She decided to look into the future once more, and see if any significant shifts will have occurred should she choose to enter Equestria and cause just a little chaos. She saw a very similar statue of herself from the last time she’d checked, this time with a very big bump poking out of it. While cute, she certainly didn’t want to look fat forever.

She felt the child move again, having felt it read that thought out of her mind just beforehoof. The child hadn’t liked being compared to fat, it seemed. Eris grabbed her belly and shook it, violently for a mortal but hardly at all for a draconequus, and laughed at the continued thrashing. It was good that its magical abilities were developing to the point it could pluck thoughts out of her head when she wasn’t paying attention. She turned her side to the mirror and rubbed her paw over one side of her belly to reveal its contents. For the first time, she saw her child. It had a similar head and main body to hers—every draconequus seemed to start out that way until changing it, hence the name—and she could see the leg she’d changed now belonged to a cow, whereas the other leg was that of a dog or some similar animal; the other limbs were those of a crab and an alligator, the wings seemed to belong to a griffon and a changeling, with the final parts of note being the dual horns from a unicorn and deer. She smiled at the little draconequus for minutes, or days, before rubbing her paw over the hole again to leave fur back in its place.

She poked it again before she spoke. “You’re looking awfully cute in there, baby. You know,” Eris stuck her neck out until it stretched far before her, to speak directly to her gut, “I wonder what you’ll look like when you’re older.” Her neck retracted to its usual length while she stared off into space. “I guess we can find out together.” She put her paw and claw on both sides of her child, and rubbed them back and forth as time sped up in her womb once again. She squatted as she let it fall to the floor. A fully-grown draconequus was inside of her now, her belly was now larger than the rest of her.

Eris stuck her neck out again, but this time her head directly phased into her belly from the top. A blue portal hugged her neck as tightly as possible. Unfortunately, it was very dark, so Eris lit a match, which instantly died. Rolling her eyes at herself, she realized how silly that was, and pulled the chain connected to the lightbulb in the ceiling instead. She saw a tail curled up in what was her front, and her gaze followed it to see the legs of a cow and the canine. Oh, it seemed she was having a boy; that was exciting. Her gaze continued to climb up his body until she saw his adorable little grownup face, neither smiling nor frowning at her; his arms were crossed. Oooh, he was all grumpy at her, adorable.

He pulled the chain with his crab claw, putting both of them in darkness again. Well, Eris could tell when she wasn’t wanted, and pulled out her head. She felt it before she saw it, and saw him kick his adult leg out as far as it would go. She grabbed his paw and tickled it, giggling, but then groaned as she felt every other limb in her body stretching out all the same. A big claw pressing out at one side, a bunch of claws on the other, a hoof down where she couldn’t see it, a head rising up, and a tail pushing right down the middle. He was trying to get out, he was grown after all, but Eris didn’t care for that idea. “I’m not done with you yet.” He still belonged to her, and would for as long as she demanded it. Time reversed again, magic flowed from the umbilical cord out of him and back into her, along with the matter she didn’t need but he clearly wanted. In a few seconds, he was back to being a squirming little baby boy inside of her, with every little kick impotent.

Eris hummed. She put a claw on her bottom lip, and flicked it as she thought. She liked having this bump protruding from her body, but she liked having that even bigger bump even more. Well, Eris was no stranger to having her cake and eating it too. She put her paw and claw around him once more, but this time left time alone, and grew her body rather than his; it was simple magic, like swapping out a limb, and she decided to admire herself in the mirror once more. She squatted in front of it, and giggled as the grass tickled the underside of her belly again. She took her paw, and pressed in deeply against the top of her massive bump several times, and waited. A hoof, a tiny hoof, struck out against her paw. She giggled, and pressed in with her claws on the side, giggling again when the same tiny hoof somehow struck out from there too despite the geography of her globe.

She dragged herself along the grass rather than stand, to get a look at her profile, and frowned at it. She looked more than a little silly, which was always pleasant, but the comical size of her womb now made her resemble a vine heavy with fruit. If she were going to keep that alteration to her figure, perhaps she should consider others to accompany it. She racked her brains for those memories of all the pregnant ponies she’d seen, and left her brains alone after recalling enough examples to mind. Right, mares tended to gain weight around other parts of their bodies when they were making another pony or two, and Eris believed most other mortals did the same for that matter. A fish rots from the head down, so she started there.

Did she want chubbier cheeks, or fat around her neck? She gently put her paw to her cheek, and her claw to the other. She puffed out her cheeks with air at first, and inflated her neck the same way, and shoved her cheeks up and down a little before swallowing the air. No, her face was perfect as is. What about the rest of her? Her arms seemed fine for now. She spun her head around to get a good look at her back. It could definitely attach to the rest of her, or really just her belly, a bit better. She willed some fat into it, and watched as the skin began to fold in on itself and crease. Past her back was her lovely tail, flanked by legs that looked a little scrawny with these recent changes. Eris never had a large butt, and decided to see what it would look like with most of the weight added there and to her thighs; her tail could use a little extra, too. She grew it to what appeared to be good taste, and then grew it about double that size. Her tail resembled a cone, and she let it shrink back to its previous size, which made the rest of her rear look even bigger.

She rotated herself without standing again to get a frontside view of her backside. She moved her tail out of the way, and began to wrap it around the outer edges of the mirror; her tail stretched and continued to wrap around it as she admired herself. Her arms looked a little too thin for her legs now. The mirror showed her how they would look expanded as unevenly as her legs, with a hindarm more than quadruple the size of her forearm, but she sneered at the idea and grew them more modestly; she could never make herself so fat she would be unable to move, but didn’t like the idea nonetheless.

Now she admired her body, barely moving sans gentle breathing. Her noodle-like form had transformed into something bottom-heavy, and middle-heavy she reminded herself with a smack to the belly. She jiggled, and decided jiggling were fun, at least for now.

What was it ponies did with their butts? Right, they sat on them. Had Eris ever sat on her butt before, on the ground or something like a ground? Her focus turned away from the mirror, and she slowly set herself tilting backwards; the grass moved underneath her hoof and claw as they slid and tilted backwards themselves. What started out slowly ended quickly as her butt hit the grass with a boom. Now none of her limbs touched the ground, which wasn’t unusual, and yet her rear did. It was surprisingly comfortable, both from the new padding and the new grass. She understood why ponies did this now. She wrapped her four limbs around her gut, and started to rub it. A chill ran up her back as her lower lips started to enjoy the grass too. She started to position her tail, no longer wrapped around the mirror, to stab her through the grass, but then got another idea as she continued staring at her womb.

How was her child’s father? Well, that depended on when Eris decided to bother him.
