This doesn’t belong in a palace!” I exclaimed. “If you only saw the floors on my last adventure, this is nothing compared to them,” Luigi said. “How did they even fit a Ferris wheel inside this castle?” I asked as we overlooked this haunted amusement park. They had all sorts of rides and attractions somehow in a palace. I didn’t question the logic because this wasn’t the time, I could do that later. “So, where do we even start to look?” I asked Luigi. “Hm, I think it’s best if we just looked around…” Luigi said as we followed this yellow path below our legs and it led us to this ticket booth…and this massive statue of King Boo and Hellen. “Wow, I will say, that’s an impressive statue, is that what King Boo looks like?” I asked. “Yes, excpt far more terrifying…” Luigi said nervously. “We got to get into that park!” I said as we tried to look around. “Wait, I see a door!” I said as I pointed to what looked like a door, the only issue? The statue of the two villains was blocking it completely, making any effort impossible. “So, we’re blocked? Just like that?” I asked when I felt the sound of a vibration. “I think this is rather important,” Luigi said as he held the Virtual Boo in his hand. “Hey Egad, yep, we’re blocked, we’ll be there soon,” Luigi said as he got out the TV. Brace yourself,” Luigi said as we went through the TV, only this time, I didn’t feel like I was about to throw up thankfully. “Luigi, Twilight, I presume your adventure is going well?” Egad asked with joy in his voice. “ As well as it can be, we found out something that could be bad news,” Luigi said. “What is that old boy?” Egad asked. “King Boo and Hellen released the magic sisters from my last adventure,” Luigi explained. “I had a gut feeling that was bound to happen, was it harder to defeat them since I don’t see any energy spikes?” Egad asked. “Well, it was easier with Twilight but still challenging,” Luigi said. “Yes, those sisters weren’t playing games,” I said nervously. “Hm, I sense that any returning ghost you two face will be harder than they once were back at The Last Resort, I can’t say what or if any more have returned but you’ll just have to wait and see, nevertheless, I sense that a statue has blocked your path?” Egad asked. “Yes, this huge statue of King Boo and Hellen kinda prevents us from moving into that amusement park,” I explained. “Not to worry, I have a solution!” Egad said as he picked up this plug with some sort of string on it. “I give you, the Super Suction!” Egad said as he gave this device to Luigi. “You remember the Super Suction back at the hotel, yes? This device is identical except that it can be used anywhere in the palace, but there is a small catch,” Egad explained. “And what is this catch?” I asked. “To use it anywhere, you need to attach it to Twilight’s horn, requiring some of your magic to power it up,” Egad explained. “So I have to reduce my magic to use it?” I asked loudly. “No, no, it won’t deplete your magic, it’ll just use it as an energy source, though I’m not fully sure what it’ll do to you Twilight,” Egad explained. “Hm, I suppose we don’t have a better option right now,” I said. “Don’t worry Twilight, I won’t let anything bad happen to you,” Luigi said as I felt his hand on my back as it comforted me. “Now, I think you two have some redecorating to do,” Egad said. “We do, we better do it now,” Luigi said as we were about to head back through the TV when we felt like the floor below us was starting to shake. “Uh, what’s that?” Luigi asked extremely worriedly. “Nothing good,” Egad said as he typed something onto his monitor and showed it to us. “I’m detecting something extremely frightening is happening to this world, take a look outside!” Egad exclaimed as he showed us this picture of what seemed to be a purple reef in the sky. “What is that?” Me and Luigi nervously asked. “That appears to be a dimensional reef, something that splits the dimension we’re currently in and the space between another dimension, except now it’s starting to dissolve the space between,” Egad explained. “So, is our world and other worlds on the line now?” Luigi asked nervously. “There’s still so much I have yet to figure out and I can’t jump to conclusions, I have reason to think those ghosts are behind this but there are not enough answers, just try your hardest to defeat them quickly, maybe that’ll stop this before something catastrophic happens,” Egad explained. “Wait…do you think…it’s because of me?” I asked nervously. “No, this seems to have started before you entered this world, only now are the visible signs showing,” Egad explained. “It’s not your fault Twilight, if anything, you’ve been helping more than not,” Luigi said as his words helped a little. “Nevertheless, you two should get back in that palace and stop those ghosts before anything worse starts to happen,” Egad explained. “Will do professor,” I said as me and Luigi said our goodbyes as we entered the TV once more and we reappeared back at the ticket booth. “Never mind, there’s the headache again,” I said, holding my head. “Alright, how does this thing work?” Luigi asked as we looked at the Super Suction. “Hm, I think I need to wrap the wire around me for it to work?” I asked. “Right, let’s try that,” Luigi said as he then wrapped the wire around my horn and my magic then connected to the Super Suction while Luigi’s poultergust then began to glow a bright yellow. “Oh, I love to do this!” Luigi said as he aimed the vacuum at the statue and slowly started to break the stature apart, sucking the remains into the poultergust one by one, even breaking apart the walls and floor until the door could be entered. When he was done, his poultergust stopped glowing as I felt my magic returning to me…as I fell to the ground and my head hit the floor. Chapter 1: Taking Control“Eureka! Eureka! I’ve done it once more!” An older man exclaimed with excitement. This older gentleman was wearing a white lab coat about as old as he was, round glasses that covered his eyes, and his hair was twisted into a single, tall tip. “The new device is ready to test! Goouigi!” The older man exclaimed as a few seconds passed and a creature, completely made up of a goo-like substance entered the room. “Follow me to the testing area, I want to test this new device right now, oh, don’t forget to bring King Boo and Hellen, will you?” The old man said as Goouigi picked up the containment chamber and followed him past several rooms of his glorious mansion until they reached the outside doors. They walked a ways away from the mansion until they stopped at a metal plate, covered by beautiful mountains and an early sunset. “Carl!” The old man said as a blue, skinny ghost appeared, wearing nothing but a hard hat and some eyewear, even though he didn’t need to. “Professor Egad, me and Steve have finished the testing platform, what is this new device you want to test?” Carl asked as he looked at this new device. “This is the Switchverse, a device I created for opening portals to other realms.” The professor named Egad said as he placed the platform in the middle of the platform. “I created this device as a last resort to send King Boo and that Hellen Gravely to another world, one which they can’t escape from and one where they can live the rest of their days in an empty universe, one where they can’t put another soul into a painting ever again if they ever escape from our containment device,” Egad explained to Carl and Goouigi as he then walked away from the device. “There’s a button that will get this baby started, though we might want to take a few steps back,” Egad said as he and Goouigi stepped off the platform while Carl pressed the start button on the Switchverse as he stood back. The Switchverse started to shake. It jolted as sparks began to fly out of it, soon it was followed by lighting sounds until it happened. Right when Egad thought this would be another failed attempt, a portal opened before his eyes. “Eureka! I’ve done it once more!” Egad exclaimed with a sense of accomplishment in his voice. This was the first time anyone has ever cracked anything related to universal advancement and he was very proud to be the first to do it. “Now, Goouigi, bring me King Boo and Hellen Gravely, chop-chop,” Egad said as Goouigi then picked up the containment chamber. “Toss the chamber into the portal, even if they escape somehow, they won’t return from it!” Egad said. Right when Goouigi was about to toss the chamber into the portal, defeating the two ghosts once and for all, something unexpected happened. Goouigi had let go of the chamber just as the portal began to shrink. “It’s closing! Get the chamber!” Egad exclaimed as Goouigi and Carl moved as fast as they could to retrieve the chamber, but it was too late. Just as the portal closed, the chamber hit the ground, opening a small hole, big enough for them to escape. Suddenly, the clouds in the sky blocked the sun’s warm rays as darkness began to fall onto the land. The distant green hills turned black, the clouds turned grey and two scary spirits emerged. “WE’RE BACK!” A giant ghost called a boo emerged from the chamber. He had dark purple eyes, four sharp teeth, a very long tongue, and a spiky crown that rested upon his head, this was King Boo, leader of all ghosts, at least he was. “We were stuck in there for far too long.” Another ghost who looked more human emerged from the chamber. She had a purple color to her as she was wearing a white and blue dress with a heart-like figure on her chest, she had long blue hair that made her look menacing and she had red eyes of rage, this was Hellen Gravley, the owner of The Last Resort Hotel until it crumpled to pieces. “Goouigi, get your poltergust, NOW,” Egad said as Goouigi used a part of himself to craft a vacuum-like machine called the Poltergeist G-00. “You think that little antique will stop us you wanna be genius?” King Boo exclaimed. “It stopped you three times in a row! Now!” Egad said as Goouigi went for the attack. He turned on his poltergeist and he tried his hardest to suck up the two ghosts, unfortunately, he wasn’t strong enough by himself. “That won’t be enough to stop us this time!” Hellen yelled as she pushed Goouigi off the platform as she went for Egad. “TELL US WHERE LUIGI IS, NOW!” Hellen yelled. “I’ll never tell!” Egad exclaimed. While this was going on, King Boo noticed the Switchverse and accidentally pressed the on button. Within seconds, another portal opened up and the king got an idea. “Hellen, throw that nerd into here, I have a feeling this thing will help.” King Boo said. “Hope you have fun, wherever you’re going!” Hellen exclaimed as she tossed Egad into the portal right as it closed, trapping him elsewhere. “Now that he’s out of the way, we can finally get revenge on that Plummer, for what he did to us, my hotel, and my precious PoulterKitty!” Hellen said with the sound of revenge in her voice. “Hold that thought, look at this device.” King Boo said as Hellen took a closer look at it. “It seems to create portals to other realms.” King Boo said. “Oh, you're right dear, do you think we could use this somehow?” Hellen asked. “Simple, we trap that green lasagna-loving loser into a portal to what seems to be another realm along with the rest of those Mushroom Kingdom losers until there’s nothing left, then we take over the world, and then, they’ll see me as there rightful king for generations! AHAHAHAHAH!” King Boo explained as he then let out a very villainous laugh. “Before that, could I be your queen?” Hellen asked as King Boo rolled his eyes. “I’ll allow my princess, I say who’s my queen.” King Boo said. “I’ll take it.” Hellen said. “Now, when we’re done, the Mushroom Kingdom will know its time is up, this will be FUN” Elsewhere . . . “Come on Luigi! We are going to be late!” A man said in a very panicked voice. This man wore blue overalls, a red shirt underneath, a stylish mustache, and a red hat with the letter M. “I’m coming, Mario!” Luigi said as the two came out of what looked like a green pipe. These were none other than the famous Mario brothers, protectors of the Mushroom Kingdom for over 35 years now. “Come on! Peach wanted to see us right away!” Mario said as he and Luigi rushed over to Peach’s castle, the home of Princess Peach, ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom. In just a few seconds, the guards outside the castle let the two brothers inside as Peach was already waiting for them. “Mario, Luigi, thank you so much for coming,” Peach said. “What’s the matter, princess?” Luigi asked as he took a few gasps for air. “Your friend Egad has done something extraordinary,” Peach said. “Come again?” Mario asked as Peach gave a small chuckle. “I’ve just received word that Professor Egad has created a revolutionary device that will help the kingdom from threats like Bowser,” Peach explained. “A new device, that sounds rather useful,” Mario said. “What is this device?” Luigi asked. “He calls it the Switchverse, a device that can open portals to other realms,” Peach explained. “That could be rather useful,” Mario said. “I thought so as well, he’s going to present it today to see if it’s something the kingdom wants to invest in,” Peach explained. “That sounds amazing!” Luigi said. Unfortunately, there was something that the brothers and the princess were not aware of, something that would lead to two worlds…I’ll just let the story do the talking instead. “Say, it has been a little while since I’ve baked a cake and since we just saved the Flower Kingdom yesterday, I think we deserve a delicious cake,” Peach suggested as the bros agreed when the castle began to shake. “Wh….wh…wh…wh…what was that?” Luigi asked as fear struck his voice. “I swear, even after we punch him in the face, he still has the energy to attack, come on Luigi, let 's-a-go defeat this turtle once more!” Mario said as he and Luigi were about to rush out of the front door when Hellen walked through and the bros stopped dead in their tracks. “Not so fast boys,” Hellen said as fear stuck Luigi’s face while Mario stood his ground. “Hellen, how are you here? I thought my brother packed you up so long ago!” Mario exclaimed. “Oh yes he did, BUT WE ESCAPED! And we’re both looking forward to reuniting, Luigi,” Hellen said as Luigi looked like he was about to have a heart attack from fear. Luigi was too afraid to talk at this point but he and Mario thought the same thing. “Wait, who do you mean, we?” Mario asked. Just then, the front entrance to the castle began to shake. The walls started to show cracks in them, and soon, a hole in the entrance was made as King Boo then appeared. “MUHHAHAHAHAHAH, I’M BACK PLUMBERS!!!” King Bo exclaimed with laughter in his voice. “Mama Mia!” Both the brothers exclaimed with fear. “I don’t even want to know how you escaped, we’ll send you right back to where you came from!” Mario exclaimed as King Boo then created a very big, empty painting. "I’m going to do something else, I’m going to…frame you!” King Boo said as Mario tried to run from the painting but it was too late, he crushed the painting onto him as he became part of the painting. “MARIO!” Both Luigi and Peach exclaimed as King Boo noticed Peach. “Oh hi princess, care to join your little boyfriend?” King Boo asked as soon, Peach also became part of the painting. “Peach!” Luigi exclaimed as he turned to his old rivals. “Uh….uh….uh…uh…” Luigi tried to say something, anything really, but nothing came out, nothing at all. “Oh Luigi, it’s been far too long,” Hellen said with some happiness. “I…’d say it’s….been….too…short,” Luigi said, trying his hardest to say anything. “Ugh, can we get on with this?” King Boo said as he held the Switchverse in his hand. “Wh…what is that?” Luigi asked. “That device your old friend made, too bad it’ll be your demise.” King Boo explained as he turned on the Switchverse. “I’d love to chat about how I’m going to destroy you for triple death to…YOU, but I would rather just kill you now.” King Boo said as the Switchverse started to shake and soon, a portal opened up. “Bye-bye!” Hellen said as she pushed Luigi into the portal, sending him to another realm. “Now, what should we do with this thing?” Hellen asked. “We don’t need it anymore,” King Boo said as he then tossed the Switchverse into the portal right as it closed behind him. “Now with those brothers and peaches out of the way…” King Boo said as he and Hellen then slowly floated over to Peach’s throne. “The Mushroom Kingdom is OURS!!” Chapter 2: Siding With A PonyMeanwhile…in another universe… It was a beautiful day outside. The sun was shining bright as ever, the birds were chirping with cheer, and I was just waking up to this lovely day. I got up from my bed and trotted among the walls of my crystal castle. Nothing too special happened as I entered the kitchen and grabbed some breakfast. Oh, right. I forgot to introduce myself. I’m Twilight Sparkle, Princess of Friendship, but I think you know all about that. It was just a few days ago since me and my friends defeated Tirek and this castle grew out of the ground thanks to the six-sided chest. So far, this new castle has been pretty alright, it may not feel like home just yet but I’m trying my best to make it work, say, I needed to do a little bit of shopping for the castle, maybe that would make it feel like home, ever so slightly that is. I grabbed my bag from my room and just like that, I was heading to Ponyville to shop, that’s when something unexpected happened. As I was trotting into the streets of Ponyville, I saw something odd in the sky. I’ve seen many weird things before, like Nightmare Moon escaping from the moon, Discord’s seeds growing from the ground and things like that but this was odder than those. In the sky, there was this portal, and just when I looked into it, two…creatures came out of it. They looked awful like the humans from the other world I’ve visited before but these humans looked vastly different. I couldn't tell what they looked like yet but right as they appeared, they began to fall to the ground. Without even thinking, I jumped off the ground and started flying towards them as fast as I could. It took a lot of my strength but I was able to catch both of them, along with this weird device that I overlooked before. I took them down to the ground as they seemed to be pretty unconscious. I had no better option on what to do with them so I quickly rushed back home, maybe to see where they came from. Once I arrived back at my castle, I very quickly laid them down in the living room on the ground, waiting for them to wake, which happened sooner than expected. I thought it would take minutes, hours, and days when it took a few seconds for the two of them to open their eyes. “Mama Mia…what….what happened?” One of the creatures said. This creature wore blue overalls with a green shirt, blue pants, brown shoes, and a green hat with an L. “You’re awake!” I said as I helped the green creature sit up. “What happened? Where am I? Who are you?” The green creature asked as I noticed fear in his voice. “Calm down, I’m not going to hurt you,” I said. “What is this place? Who are you?” The green man said. “I’m Twilight Sparkle, this is my castle,” I said as I introduced myself. “Well It’s a pleasure to meet you, Twilight, I’m Luigi and this is,” Luigi said as he pointed to the other creature. “Great Scott, what happened?” The other creature asked as he then woke up. He was wearing what appeared to be a lab coat, very round glasses, and was much shorter than me and Luigi. “Egad, thanks the superstars you’re alright,” Luigi said as he helped this Egad up. “Say, where are we? This doesn’t look like the Mushroom Kingdom?” Egad asked. “That’s because it isn’t, you’re both in the land of Equestria,” I said. I won’t forget the look on Egad’s face as even with his big glasses, his face changed from confusion to a mixture of fear and happiness. “That must mean my device worked, after all, this is an entirely new dimension!” Egad exclaimed with joy. “That explains why I’ve never seen humans such as yourself before,” I said. “Still, if I may ask, how did you two get here?” I asked. “Well, I was testing out a new portal device I created. I was trying to send these dangerous ghosts into another world until they escaped and sent me into another world, presumably this one,” Egad explained. “What, were those ghosts….K..K…K..Ki…King Boo and Hellen Gravely?” Luigi asked as he shook with fear. “Don't tell me they took my device and used it against you as well,” Egad said. “Yes they did,” Luigi said. “This isn’t good, not only do they have that device, there’s no way we can get back to our universe without it!” Egad said with panic. “You mean this device?” I asked as I picked up the weird device when they first arrived. “Jimmy Christmas, you found the Switchverse!” Egad said as I handed him the Switchverse. “It appeared when I first found you two here,” I explained. “I can’t thank you enough, now we can get back home and defeat King Boo and Hellen once more!” Egad said as he set the device down. “Wait, Egad, there’s more that I didn’t mention yet,” Luigi said. “What’s that old boy?” Egad asked. “King Boo and Hellen have Mario and Peach, I’m pretty sure he’s already taken over the Mushroom Kingdom by now,” Luigi said. “WHAT?” Egad exclaimed with panic. “He has your brother and the kingdom? Do you know how difficult it’ll be to stop the two of them now?” Egad asked loudly. “I think I have an idea,” Luigi said. “We’re gonna need backup, serious backup, only issue? We have no backup,” Egad said defeatly. “Well, who are we going to call?” Luigi asked. “You know, I have experience when it comes to fighting evil spirits,” I said. “You do?” Egad said as he took a good look at me, "Well, we do need all the backup we can, do you think you would be up for an inter-dimension adventure?” Egad asked. “I would love to! I haven’t fought a villain in a little while,” I said. “It’s settled then, let me get the Switchverse up and running,” Egad said as he pushed a button, and after a few seconds, another portal opened up. It looked so much cooler to see it closer than before. “Well, we've got a kingdom to save, Let’s-A-Go!” Luigi said as the three of us stepped through the opened portal, ready for the adventure we were about to have. Chapter 3: Gizmo's, Gears, and Poltergusts“You weren't kidding, they have taken over the kingdom!” Egad exclaimed as the three of us took a look around. The sky was covered in swirling darkness, the houses looked abandoned with planks covering the windows, spider webs went all over the homes and lights but worst of all, there was a castle in the distance that looked like some sort of haunted house, only it was bigger and far more scary. “So this is your world?” I asked. “Not even close, this has to be the work of those….g…g..g…ghosts,” Luigi said in a terrified voice. “Hm, how are we supposed to defeat them then?” I asked as Egad was scratching his chin. “I have an idea, to the secret lab!” Egad exclaimed as he rushed over to this stone with two levers with me and Luigi followed behind him. “Pull the lever Luigi!” Egad said as Luigi pulled the left lever. Just then, what appeared to be a boulder dropped down and crushed Egad. “Wrong lever,” Egad said as he quickly shook off the pain for his age. “Why do you even have that lever?” Luigi then asked. “Just to keep the lab a secret,” Egad said as Luigi pulled the right lever, and the ground under the three of us opened up and we all fell through. The three of us fell onto a roller coaster cart as the lap-bar locked. “For your safety, please keep your hands, arms, feet, and legs inside the coaster at all times, now save the world already!” The overcome said as the coaster began to move. It then went downwards at a high speed until it went upside down into a loop and it turned very rapidly a few times before it stopped and flung us off until we landed on our legs. “That was fun,” I said, still a little dizzy from the coaster. “Follow me, I have something for you both,” Egad said as me and Luigi followed him into this laboratory, full of gizmos, gears, and gadgets. “What is this place?” I asked. “Welcome to my new laboratory, where I build my inventions, test them, and all that jazz,” Egad explained as I looked around. “You’re an inventor?” I asked. “Er, something like that,” Egad said as he went over to a door with a lock on it. Egad then plugged in the right code as the door opened and Egad revealed a strange device. This device looked like a backpack with a red color scheme but also had some sort of vacuum attached. “Is that what I think it is?” Luigi asked. “It sure is, you’ll need the Poltergust G-00 once more for this adventure,” Egad said as he handed the Poltergust to Luigi. “What does that device do?” I asked. “Glad you asked, it’s a device that can suck up ghosts and other monsters as well as a few other things,” Egad explained. “That sounds like a useful device,” I said. “Oh, it is, say, Twilight, could you hold still for a moment?” Egad asked as he then held a tape measure around my waist. “What are you doing?” I asked. “Getting your measurements so I can make the necessary adjustments,” Egad explained. “What for?” I asked. A few seconds passed and Egad didn’t say a word until he revealed another device. “I give you, the Ponygust!” Egad said. This device looked identical to the Poultergust, except it looked like it was made to fit my back like a saddlebag. “This should be able to fit your back now,” Egad said as he placed the device on my back and it fit perfectly. “I could get used to this,” I said as I looked at myself in a nearby mirror. “Now, what’s the plan Egad? How are we going to defeat these ghosts once more?” Luigi asked. “Simple, you two head to Peach's' Castle, or as I like to call it, Ghost Palace, find King Boo and Hellen, defeat and trap them once more, then we send them away and everything works out,” Egad explained. “Won’t you be coming along?” I asked. “I’m afraid due to my age, ghost busting is far beyond me, that’s why I needed Luigi and Goouigi,” Egad said. “I almost forgot, where is Goouigi?” Luigi asked. “Last I saw him, Hellen pushed him out of the way, I’ll look for him later, what’s at stake here is getting you two ready,” Egad said. “Wait, who’s Goouigi?” I asked with confusion. “A version of myself made out of goo, I’ll explain later,” Luigi said. “Now, Twilight, I would love to show you all the features of the Ponygust but we don’t have the time for that, now do we?” Egad said. “I suppose,” I said with a little fear as I felt Luigi’s hand on my back. “It’ll be ok, I’ll try to show you all the kicks…when I can calm myself down first…” Luigi said as I could also see a lot of fear in his eyes. “Now, that should be everything to it, as long as nothing happens here, I should be able to contact you two whenever you need help in there, oh, I almost forgot,” Egad said as he tossed what appeared to be a mini-TV into Luigi’s hands and a little red device. “What’s that?” I asked curiously. “If you ever need to get back here, that TV will expand, allowing you two to enter with ease and that’s a Virtual Boo, just in case I ever need to call you two, now if we're all ready, you two have the adventure to go on,” Egad said. “He’s right, let’s save your world!” I said. “Don’t forget about my brother!” Luigi said as we exited the secret lab and trotted down the dark road, on our way to Ghost Palace. . . . “WHAT?? HOW DID LUIGI ESCAPE THAT OTHER WORLD?!” King Boo yelled in anger. “You really shouldn’t have thrown that silly device away, you know that?” Hellen said with a smug smile. “Shut up, wait a tic, who is that?” King Boo said as he pointed to this strange, purple horse. “I’m not sure, whoever she is, she’s with Luigi, which can only mean trouble,” Hellen said. “I see, then this will be twice as much fun if we can torture two souls this time,” King Boo exclaimed with a little laughter. “Shall I set the first trap for them, my love?” Hellen asked. “Set several, this is where the fun begins!” King Boo and Hellen then laughed as Lighting then struck from far away, oh this will be fun. Chapter 4: The Rigged Room“I’ve only been here for not even an hour, yet I already feel like this isn’t how this world should be,” I said. We were trotting back down the black, twisted, and disheartening path, I kept seeing all the homes, covered in planks, webs, and misery. It reminded me of when I visited the alternate timelines not too long ago, except it felt worse knowing that this was no alternate timeline, this was an alternate world. “That’s because it isn’t, nothing here is how it should be,” Luigi said with a quieter voice than Fluttershy’s. I also noticed his hat was tilted a little, covering his eyes. “If I may ask…what was this world supposed to be?” I asked, trying to lift the conversation. “Honestly, it was a beautiful place, the grass was very green, the town was always cheerful, and all the toads were peaceful and kind and everything seemed right, well, until we got invaded like every other week,” Luigi explained. “You guys get invaded a lot? By who?” I asked. “Bowser, my brother’s rival, the evilest creature you’ll ever meet,” Luigi explained. “Well, me as well as my friends have beaten a lot of evil creatures, I'm sure he can’t be as bad as we’ve faced before,” I said as I saw an oh-so-small smile come across Luigi’s face. “Say, what have you faced before?” Luigi asked. “Let's see, Nightmare Moon, Discord, the spirit of chaos and disharmony, when he was evil, King Sombra, Lord Tirek, a creature obsessed with draining magic, and quite a few others,” I explained as I saw Luigi’s face turned a little scared. “Oh, sorry if I freaked you out,” I said. “It’s…it’s fine, I get scared easily, it’s ok,” Luigi explained. “I’ve been there before, I’ve been scared every time I had to face a villain, with or without my friends,” I said. “How do you think I feel? I’ve had to battle King Boo three times now, yet each time has been more terrifying than the last,” Luigi said in a scared voice. “Hey, did anyone say batting evil wouldn’t be terrifying?” I asked. “I…I suppose you’re right,” Luigi said as the small smile came back to his face. I was about to comfort him again until I saw that we were here. “Is…that?” I asked as I pointed my hoof at the Palace. “That should be it, Ghost Palace,” Luigi said with fear. “So this is where you’re brother and that princess Peach are being held captive?” I asked. “I….think so,” Luigi said. “Well, let’s head in, save your friends, and defeat this ghost king!” I said as I found the front door to the palace as me and Luigi slowly walked up. “Are you ready?” I asked as I placed my right hoof on the right side of the door. “I think I am,” Luigi said as he placed his left…hand on the left side of the door. We both slowly opened the door as Luigi held his flashlight at the ready. “M….Mario?” Luigi quietly asked as we both entered the palace and froze. “Mama Mia, what has he done to you?” Luigi asked quietly. The whole room had no lights, yet we both could see everything. The walls were brown, dark brown, and the floorboards were creaky, the ceiling was a little leaky and the whole room just felt…what’s the word? Omminense. “What in Equestria happened here?” I asked in horror. “I’m going to make King Boo and Hellen Gravely pay for what they’ve done to her castle!” Luigi exclaimed with pure anger. “Wait, who does this castle belong to?” I asked. “Princess Peach, she runs the kingdom, though nothing like this has happened before to her castle,” Luigi explained as we slowly trotted through the long hallway, or at least it felt like a long hallway. “Where do we even start to look? They could be anywhere in this place,” I said as I looked around the room. “Hm, if I know my haunted places, I’d say we should start at the first floor,” Luigi said as he pointed to what seemed to be a door. We trotted towards it and he tried to open the door, but it wouldn’t budge. “Hm, I’m sure it seems we’ll need a key here,” Luigi said when I heard a noise that sounded like movement and keys jingling. “Quick, hide!” Luigi quietly whispered as we both looked for a place to hide, unfortunately, there wasn’t one. “Prevent that plummer and pony from leaving, check!” A blue figure said as this figure pulled out a key and locked the front door, trapping us in this haunted place. “Say, I wonder what’s for lunch…!” The blue figure said to himself as he turned around…and saw me and Luigi. “AHHHH!” Me and Luigi both screamed in fear. “Oh great, they're already here, well this will be fun!” The blue figure said just as these purple and blue gates appeared, blocking off the door and staircases. “Time for me to become the boss’s #1 ghost!” The blue ghost said. “What do we do?” I whispered to Luigi. “Duck!” Luigi said as I ducked right when the ghost extended his wrist, intending to punch us in the face, unfortunately, he got Luigi at the last second. “I caught green stash! I’m becoming the favorite ghost once the king traps you for good!” The ghost said with excitement. “What do I do now?” I asked with panic. “Ok…uh…point your flashlight at the ghost, quickly now!” Luigi exclaimed as I spotted my flashlight and pointed it at the ghost. “Press the button!” Luigi exclaimed as I pressed it as hard as possible, and the ghost lit up. “AHH, the brightness!” The Ghost exclaimed as he proceeded to rub his eyes. “Alright, now you just gotta suck him into you’re vacuum, press the vacuum button!” Luigi exclaimed as I pressed the button and the flashlight changed into what looked like a vacuum cleaner. “Here it goes!” I said as I got the ghost by its tail. “NO! I refuse to be sucked up!” The ghost exclaimed as it moved quickly around the room, forcing me to move with it. “Uh, resistance to the pulling, move in the opposite direction Twilight!” Luigi exclaimed as the ghost still had a tight grip on him. “I…I think I got it!” I said as more and more of the ghost started to get pulled into the Ponygust. “NOOOOOOO I was about to be the favorite for once!” The ghost exclaimed as I fully sucked him up into the Ponygust and Luigi was freed. “You did it Twilight!” Luigi exclaimed with happiness and he gave me a pat on the back. “That…that was scary…yet exhilarating!” I said with a little bit of sweat coming down my face. “You’ll get used to it…and look!” Luigi said as he pointed to a key right next to me. “That ghost must have dropped that key,” I said as I picked it up. “That must lead to the next room, care to do the honors?” Luigi asked as he pointed to the door from before. “Why yes I do!” I said as I trotted to the first-floor door and placed the key into the keyhole. The key then went into the door as it disappeared, and unlocked. “Let's press onward!” I said as me and Luigi entered the door and it closed behind us. Chapter 5: Powering Up!“I know this is a place full to the brim with ghosts but does it always have to be so dark in here?” I asked as I and Luigi entered the next room to see…darkness. “You’ll get used to it…a little that is,” Luigi said, filled with fear. “Wait a minute, I think I can help with light,” I said as I cast a spell and my horn was glowing with light, allowing us to see the room more clearly. “That’s some horn of yours,” Luigi said as we looked at the room. From the looks of this room, it seemed to be the living room, due to the couches, and tables, there was even a table with a bunch of balls in the center, along with some sticks at the side. “Hm, let’s take a look around,” Luigi said as we started to look around the room some more but we didn’t see anything. “Hey, would you take a look at this,” I said as I pointed to something odd. “Call me crazy but does it look like there’s supposed to be some sort of curtain here?” I asked as I pointed to curtains covering part of the wall and windows, but one seemed missing. “Hm, you’re right Twilight, that is odd,” Luigi said as he scratched his chin. “Hm, I wonder,” Luigi then switched to what looked like the flashlight setting but instead of a bright light, the light was all sorts of different colors. He then aimed the light towards the curtains, and after a few seconds, an outline of the curtain started to appear until these blue spheres appeared. “What are those?” I asked. “Spiret balls, quick, use you’re ponygust and suck them up!” Luigi said as we did just that. It only took a few seconds but we were able to suck them all up. Just then, I looked back and saw that the curtain had appeared. “That was pretty easy,” I said as I switched back to flashlight mode. “Yeah…easy…..wait a second,” Luigi said as he pushed back the curtains and revealed a secret door. “I knew there was something else here,” Luigi said confidently. “Shall we open it?” I asked. “Yes we shall,” Luigi said. Just as he was about to open the door, I felt something…odd. I looked back at my Ponygust and saw that it was vibrating. “Do you feel that?” I asked as I turned back to Luigi and saw that his Poultergust was also vibrating. ”That means he’s calling,” Luigi said as he then pulled out the Virtual Boo and held it to his face. “Hey Egad…..were doing pretty well…..Now?….we’ll be there soon,” Luigi said as he lowered the Virtual Boo. “Egad wants us back at the lab as soon as possible,” Luigi said. “Sounds like a plan,” I said as Luigi pulled out the mini TV from earlier and placed it on the ground. “You’re gonna love this,” Luigi said as the TV grew as big as me. “Woah,” I said in astonishment. “We don’t want to keep Egad waiting, let's go!” Luigi said as he entered the TV with me following behind. After a very bumpy experience, I stepped out of another TV and saw we were back in Egad’s secret lab. “Welcome back you two, I sense you’re ghost-busting experience is going as well as can be?” Egad said as I and Luigi stepped closer. “Good as can be, Twilight just caught her first ghost!” Luigi said excitedly. “Oh, that must feel good!” Egad said to me with excitement. “Yeah, it was scary, yet thrilling!” I said as I could feel myself blush a little. “You’ll get the hang of it soon enough, just ask me and Luigi,” Egad said as he chuckled a little. “It’s true,” Luigi said. “Anyway, I wanted you two because I’ve made a few new devices. One is a device that can better detect irregular objects and signals for Twilight,” Egad explained. “That sounds amazing,” I said. “Say Twilight, could you lower your head for a moment?” Egad asked as I lowered my head and felt some sort of device placed onto my head. “I call it, The NES, Neutron Entensifer Spectacle, with the NES, whenever you’re trying to suck a ghost into the Ponygust, the NES will help better stabilize it, allowing you and Luig to be able to fight together,” Egad explained as I looked at the device from a nearby mirror. It rested on top of my horn as it was a grey ring that fitted perfectly. “I could get used to this thing,” I said. “As for you Luigi, I give you, the Last Resort Tube, I name it after your last adventure with ghosts,” Egad said as he gave Luigi what looked like a test tube with some sort of star inside. “If you and Twilight are ever on the verge of…losing the battle, that tube is filled with two superstars, one for each of you. You can only use it once unless I can get more so make it count, ok?” Egad said. “That sounds like it’ll be useful,” Luigi said. “Wait a second, what’s a superstar?” I asked. “Oh, it makes you invincible to anything for a short period,” Egad explained. “That sounds like it’ll be useful in there,” I said. “Anywho, I’ve been able to track the energy levels for the room you’ve been into and a few others so far, I’ve been sensing a strong spike in the next room, I don’t know what to expect in there but I would be prepared, you two could be in for a real fight,” Egad explained. “Sounds good professor, we should be checking out this spike,” Luigi said. “Well go along, save the world already!” Egad said with a chuckle. “Ready Twilight?” Luigi asked. “I’m ready!” I said as we both walked through the TV once more. “Ugh, that TV sure does come with a strong headache,” I said as I and Luigi stepped back through the TV and into the living room. “It’ll go away soon, we have to check out that spike,” Luigi said as I agreed. Luigi then nervously opened the door as the two of us headed inside. “Hello?” I asked around. “Who’s there?” A voice said as the lights turned on to reveal some sort of stairwell. “I was told to take care of a plumber and a pony, you two seem to fit those descriptions,” The voice said to reveal themselves as a ghost. This ghost was dressed very nicely. He was wearing a tuxedo, a tie, and a top hat. “Uh… were just passing by,” Luigi said as the same gates from before blocked the door. “I hope you’re ready for what I have in store!” The Ghost said as he gave an evil laugh. “Get ready Twilight, we're in for a tough one!” Luigi said nervously. Chapter 6: The Spinning Staircase“DUCK!” Luigi exclaimed as the ghost punched in our direction, and Luigi and I jumped out of the way. “What the heck is that ghost?” I asked in fear. “That must be a portrait ghost,” Luigi said while we dodged more punches the portrait ghost threw at us. “What? A Portrait Ghost?” I asked. “That’s a more powerful ghost than the last one we faced,” Luigi quickly answered as we continued to dodge the attacks. “So how do we defeat it?” I asked right when something happened. Instead of throwing more punches at us, this portrait ghost tossed giant candles while Luigi and I tried our hardest to dodge them. “We just need to strike it with our flashlights, then suck it up, just like with the last ghost” Luigi explained. “Sounds simple enough,” I said as I noticed the ghost's eyes were wide open. “Take this!” I exclaimed as I fired my flashlight at the ghost, only for it to block it with the candle. “Hm, nice try, I won’t allow you to suck me up this time!” The portrait ghost exclaimed just as something unexpected happened. He slammed his body onto the ground and just like that, the floor was starting to disappear. “Quick, onto the stairs Twilight!” Luigi said as he helped me onto the staircase just as the floor was no more. “Better run!” The ghost said just as the staircase started to disappear as well. “RUN!” I exclaimed as I and Luigi started to run up the staircase as fast as we could. As we were rushing up the stairwell as fast as we could, I wasn’t sure about Luigi but I could feel myself getting more tired every step. “I…I can’t….go ... .much…farther,” Luigi said as I saw some sweat on his face as I got an idea. “I think I know what to do,” I said when I thought of the same spell I used when the Crystal Empire returned. I was about to cast the spell just when I bumped into something. I looked up and saw the ghost as I took a few steps back. “I was hoping you two would survive, there’s no fun defeating you two so quickly, but now, it’s time for you to go!!” The portrait ghost exclaimed while we flashed our flashlights at the ghost as he lit up. “Now!” Luigi exclaimed as we both caught a grip on him as we started to suck him up. “NO, NO, NO!!!” The ghost exclaimed as we made quick work of him as Luigi sucked him into his Poultergust. “T….that was fun,” Luigi said as we both took a second to breathe. “That was…scary,” I said just as the staircase and the room started to return to normal. “I felt the same when I caught my first ghost,” Luigi chuckled as his Poultergust vibrated. “I think I should take this,” Luigi said as he held the Virtual Boo in his hand. “Hello? We’ll be there soon,” Luigi said as he hung up. “I’m assuming Egad wants us back at the lab?” I asked. “It seems so, better brace yourself,” Luigi said as he pulled out the TV, it grew in size as we both stepped through. “Welcome back you two!” Egad excitedly said as we exited the TV. “I’m never going to get used to that,” I said, holding my head. “I assume you heard the news?” Luigi asked. “I saw that the spike disappeared,” Egad said. “That’s because we took care of that ghost!” I said excitedly. “Congratulations to you two!” Egad said happily. “I see why those ghosts have a separate name now,” I said. “Speaking of, I have something new to show you,” Egad said as he pushed a button on his desk and this tube-like box appeared. “Could you both place the tubes of your Poultergusts into the slot?” Egad asked. It was a little difficult to position correctly but we both managed to do so. "What is that for?” I asked. “Glad you asked Twilight. That’s my new, slightly damaged containment chamber, a device that contains the ghosts you and Luigi have managed to capture so far,” Egad explained. “That sounds useful,” I said. “Didn’t that one break out King Boo and Hellen Gravley, hence the reason were here?” Luigi asked. “Don’t worry, I worked out the kicks, that shouldn’t happen again,” Egad said. “It better not,” Luigi said. “Speaking of, I believe you two have another area to explore, I’m detecting energy readings from the second floor of that palace, you two better go check it out,” Egad said. “I suppose we should be heading back anyway,” I said. “Good luck out there, I have a feeling these ghosts will be much more difficult to defeat,” Egad said. “We’ll be ready for them,” Luigi said as we stepped through the TV, preparing for what was yet to come. . . . “ARE. YOU. KIDDING. ME??” King Boo shouted in anger. “How? I thought that the butler would be able to take care of them!” Hellen shouted in rage. “You’re failing me, AGAIN,” King Boo said with disappointment in his voice. “What? You agreed with my plan of sending the butler to attack them, this is your fault as well! Not to mention Luigi's far more powerful with that pony helping out!” Hellen exclaimed. "You're right, who is that pony? Find out who she is and where she's from! She's just as a threat to us as Luigi is!" King Boo exclaimed. "Yes King Boo, I'll keep an eye on her, we can't let them stand in our way for much longer," Hellen said. "Good, maybe unlike last time, you could be useful for once," King Boo said. "Are you forgetting that it was MY plan to bring Luigi and his friends to MY hotel?" Hellen exclaimed with rage. "And it crumpled to the ground, not to mention you send the butler to attack them," King Boo said. "You agreed!" Hellen exclaimed. “Ugh, well, he was a weak ghost anyway, what we need to send a ghost that I know they won’t be able to defeat!” King Boo said. “And what ghost would that be, my love?” Hellen asked. “First off, we’re not dating and we will never date, so stop calling me, 'my love', secondly, I’m thinking that if we want to stop those two, we need to send…those sisters to bring their final curtain call,” King Boo said. “I couldn’t think of anyone better, let's do it!” Hellen exclaimed as the two roared with laughter…for Luigi and Twilight’s final curtain call. Chapter 7: The Threatening Trio“It feels nice not having the floor disappear for a change,” I said as Luigi and I trotted up the spiral staircase. “You would be surprised with how much that happens,” Luigi said, and I saw a little look of horror on his face. “If only I could have cast the staircase spell,” I said as I saw Luigi’s face change. “Spell? Like magic spell?” Luigi asked. “Yes, it’s practically what I’m best at,” I said as I pointed to my horn. “That explains the light from your horn,” Luigi said. “Yeah, it’s quite a simple spell,” I said as we continued to walk up the staircase. “The only real magic here is from the wand of a Magickoopa so I’m not that familiar with magic,” Luigi explained. “Hm, I might be able to help with some inventions for a magic substitute,” I said after a few seconds of silence. “I’m sure Egad would be over the moon, he’s always trying to find someone to help with his inventions from time to time,” Luigi said. “I may not know a lot about inventions but I would be glad to help, depending on if inter-dimensional travel is something I can withstand more of,” I said with a little chuckle. “Just as long as we don’t have to catch each other every time,” Luigi chuckled as we reached the top of the staircase and saw a door. “Shall we head in?” I asked. “I say we shall,” Luigi said as he opened the door as we stepped into a strange room. “Woah, I thought you didn’t have magic here?” I asked. “We…don’t,” Luigi said nervously. The room had reddish walls, a red carpet floor, a brown ceiling…and flying dice blocks with money trees. “Perfectly normal things to have in a palace, right?” I asked. “Not from any palace my brother and I have explored before,” Luigi said as we looked around the room. Nothing was out of the ordinary, yet everything was out of the ordinary, was that even possible? The room felt like a magician’s paradise with all the magic tricks, I wondered if Trixie would love this place now that I think about it. Me and Luigi went into the next few rooms and it was the same general thing. There was a room that was turned upside down, there was a bedroom that was just full of beds for some reason, it was crazy and didn’t make sense. “I don’t think this is normal in this world?” I asked Luigi. “Not even close Twilight, not even close, we don’t sleep on the walls for starters,” Luigi said as we kept exploring this strange world of the second floor. “Well, this room looks new,” I said as after what felt like days of walking around, we entered this room with this giant stage with seating. “Oh no,” Luigi said upon seeing this room. “Oh no what?” I asked nervously. “I’ve seen this floor before, back on my last adventure,” Luigi explained as he told me about these magic suites. “There were these three magician sisters who caused me a lot of trouble, trapped me in a hat, flipped me around, and treated me just like dirt, well, almost every ghost in that hotel did,” Luigi explained with fear, clearly in his voice. “Is it possible that these sisters you speak of are here? In this very palace?” I asked. Right when it seemed that Luigi was about to respond with an answer that I knew he wanted to be wrong, the lights went out, covering the room in darkness, our flashlights being the only light source. “Wh….wh….wh….wh…wh….what was…..that?” Luigi asked, struggling to speak just of how terrified he sounded. “It’ll be alright Luigi,” I said as I did what I could to comfort Luigi, even though I couldn’t see him very well in this darkness. I was about to cast another spell when something else happened on stage. A spotlight appeared on stage and a single purple hat appeared, and two purple ghosts appeared. These ghosts were purple, a very similar purple to my coat. They also had blond hair in different styles and these dark purple suits they wore. “Plummer and Pony, welcome to your tombs! Lights and magic, say hi to your doom! When we attack you, it’s all you knew, you're done, we already won!” The two ghosts sang as they laughed while a third ghost came out of the purple hat with a magic wand in her hand. “Missed us, plumber? Don’t worry, we won’t take long!” The third ghost said with an evil smile on her face. “Who are you?” I asked strictly as I saw Luigi was too scared to speak. “Who are we? This is an interesting pony, are you now?” The third ghost said as the three ghosts huddled up. “We’re Nikki, Lindsey, and last but not least, Ginny, and we are the three magic sisters!” The three of them exclaimed as smoke then filled the stage. “I should have known King Boo and Hellen would have let the ghost from my last adventure free,” Luigi quietly said, his voice still covered in fear. “Say, we’ve never had the chance to ride a pony before, do you take rides ms pony?” Ginny asked. “I certainly do not!” I exclaimed with anger. “Oh well, we wanted to have a ride before we have to end you, but before that, let’s have some fun!” Lindsey said as she then pulled out her magic wand. “Not this time!” I said as I activated my Ponygust and shot my flashlight at them, only for their magician hats to cover their eyes. “Our eyes, our rules, SMILE! You two are…framed!” Nikki said as she pulled out her wand, summoned these pinkish chains, and surrounded us with them. “The boss wants to capture you two himself, wait here for him, will you?” Ginny said as the sisters laughed while they floated through the walls, leaving us trapped in chains. “Oh no, we're dead meat,” Luigi said in a defeated voice. Chapter 8: Chains and Illusions“I can’t move my arms, we are completely stuck!” Luigi exclaimed. We both tried to wiggle our way out and move our arms and hooves, but it was all for nothing, we were stuck, completely trapped in the sister's magic chains. “Wait a second, are these magic chains?” I asked. “I would think so, I doubt they would summon chains,” Luigi said. “That gives me an idea,” I said as I then thought of the perfect spell for this. I cast my horn as I began to focus. While the chains were extremely heavy, just as heavy as lifting a desk, I was slowly able to lift the chains over me and Luigi as I dropped them to the ground. “That…that was amazing Twilight,” Luigi said as he dusted himself off. “It’s just what I do, though I have a feeling we should get out of here before King Boo and Hellen arrive?” I asked. “Certainly,” Luigi said as we looked through the room to see three separate doors, unsure which one to go through. “Hmm, I think with a little time, I can figure out which door leads to somewhere ‘safe’ or a pit of spikes, I have experience picking doors,” Luigi said as he looked at each door. “Let me help with that,” I said as I cast my horn while each door began to shake. The door on the left showed a bathroom covered in spikes, the door to the middle showed a simple bedroom while the door to the right showed………….I…don’t think I should say what it showed unless I wanted to bump up this story’s age rating. “Hm, I’d say the middle door is our best option,” I said as I then opened the door. “Wow….I could have solved that one myself,” Luigi said as I thought he mumbled something under his breath that I didn’t hear. The two of us entered the room right when the door closed behind us as it disappeared into the wall. “That isn’t a good sign,” Luigi said nervously. “Guess they don’t want us to leave…” I said nervously as we began to look around the bedroom. “Out of all the bedrooms here, this looks like the least…. bizarre one,” Luigi said as he was correct, the room looked fairly normal as it didn’t have a lot going for it, just a simple bedroom. “Shall we move on?” I asked as I pointed to the door from across the room. Luigi was about to open the door when we both heard something…odd. “THEY ESCAPED?!” A voice that I hadn’t heard before shouted in rage. “I brought you two back, gave an entire floor to you three, twice, yet you still failed to capture a plumber and a pony?!” The voice exclaimed with rage. “W…… were sorry Hellen, we don’t know how they escaped!” Ginny’s voice said with fear in her voice. “We’ll catch them next time, we swear!” Lindsey’s voice said. “We swear on each other!” Nikki’s voice said. “Don’t fail me again, or I’ll arrange for that plumber to add you three to his collection again!” The voice exclaimed as they kept on talking for a little longer. “Who is that?” I asked as the look on Luigi’s face was far more terrifying than the last time. “H……h……he………hellen….” Luigi could barely speak as there was so much fear in his voice. “Hellen?” Was all that I could piece together as Luigi nodded his head. “Oh no, we need to get out of this room!” I said as we were about to open the door when we saw the same door reappearing as it looked like it was about to open. “She’s coming We have to hide!” Luigi whispered quickly. “Leave it to me!” I said as I cast my horn right when Hellen and the sisters appeared in the room. “I told you! Until you capture that pesky plumber and his pony sidekick, you can forget about performing anytime soon!” A very tall purple ghost who I’m presumed to be Hellen Gravely entered the room with the sisters. “But we want to perform! It’s what we're good at!” Ginny exclaimed. “I said no!” Hellen exclaimed as she was getting closer and closer to us. “Are you sure this is a good idea?” Luigi whispered so quietly that I could barely hear him. “Don’t worry, she can’t see us,” I quietly whispered. Well, I was right, due to my quick spell casting, my invisibility spell was working perfectly fine, maybe it would have worked…if we had enough time to silence our poltergusts. When it seemed like Hellen and the sisters were about to leave the room, allowing me and Luigi to escape through the other door, we both felt our poultergusts vibrating. “What is that sound? Who’s there?” Hellen exclaimed as she looked right at our hiding place. “Wait a second,” Lindsey said as she pulled out her magic wand and was about to cast a spell, I could only assume it was some sort of counterspell. “Stay still,” I whispered as I cast my horn just as Lindsey fired her counter spell, revealing nothing but a stain on the wall. “Wha? I thought the noise came from there!” Lindsey exclaimed. “Ugh, I don’t have time for this! Find Luigi and his pony friend or it’s the vacuum for you!” Hellen exclaimed with rage as she walked through the wall, leaving the sisters in the bedroom. Meanwhile, Luigi and I were back in the previous room as my invisibility spell disappeared while I took a few seconds to catch my breath. “That…was amazing, how did you do that in time?” Luigi asked in amazement. “....I had a pretty great teacher,” I said with a little smile. “Say, you don’t think you can cast another spell like that? I think those sisters might be back,” Luigi said concernedly. “Yeah…just give me a few seconds, casting a spell while already casting a spell takes a lot out of you,” I said, not knowing what those few seconds of waiting would lead to. Just as I caught my breath, ready to perform another teleportation spell, I felt something on my back. I looked over and saw that the sisters had appeared through the door. “Oh you gotta kidding me,” Ginny exclaimed. “I don’t even want to know how you ended up here and not at the hands of Hellen, you’re dead meat!” Lindsey exclaimed with rage in her voice. “Now, sisters, I’d say we should have some fun with these meatheads before we turn them into Hellen, shall we?” Nikki said as Lindsey and Ginny agreed. “Very well, I know just the thing,” Ginny said as the sisters returned to their hats and they started to circle us. “What’s going on?” I asked nervously. “Oh no, not again,” Luigi exclaimed as he hunched over, shivering with fear. The next thing we knew, we were on this purple platform surrounded by this pinkish sky that somewhat resemble nighttime back in Equestria, only this time, cards, wands, and other magic props were flying around the stage. “Welcome to the illusion dimension you two, a place where we sisters are in control!” A much taller Nikki said as she and taller versions of the sisters surrounded the platform. “Oh no, this is bad,” I said fearfully “You better believe it pony!” Ginny said as the sisters pulled out their wands, ready to battle and just before I could process it, Ginny fired what looked like a magic beam at us…and I didn’t deflect it in time. Chapter 9: The Final Curtain CallI closed my eyes, thinking it was over, thinking this was it, was this how getting hit by a powerful beam of magic felt, like nothing? No, I’ve felt far worse than nothing, nothing was right. “What was going on?” I thought to myself as I slowly opened my eyes and saw the same beam of magic…but it wasn’t moving, rather a gust of wind was pushing it away from me. “You….won’t…..strike her…..down….you…you weak illusionist’s!” Luigi tiredly exclaimed as he used the poultergust to push the magic beam away from me, although it kept it in place. “What the..? How are you doing that?” I asked thankfully. “No fair!” Nikki exclaimed with anger. “Quick, change…..to…the…blow setting….I can’t…..keep….this….up…forever!” Luigi exclaimed. I quickly went through my ponygust’s settings, found the blow setting, and activated it. Very quickly, a gust of wind came out of the vacuum as the beam moved away from me. “On three!” Luigi exclaimed as he counted to three on his…fingers. We each got closer to the beam as we pushed it away from the stage, sending it to the bottom below. “Hm, impressive for a pony, how about we turn up the heat?” Lindsey exclaimed as in one motion, the sisters retreated into their hats as they also made these cards about as long as I appeared as they fired them towards us. “You know the drill, move out of the way!” Luigi exclaimed as we did just that. “Sisters! Let’s give them the spin!” Ginny exclaimed as the hats started to circle the platform while firing more and more cards at us as it was getting more tiring and difficult to dodge them. “We can’t keep this up forever! We need to find their weak point!” I exclaimed as I was getting more and more out of breath. “Hm, we need them to exit their hats, that’s when we can flash them, only issue, we need them to exit their hats,” Luigi explained. “So how do we get them out of their hats?” I asked as Luigi scratched his chin, almost like Egad when we entered his secret lab. “I got it, change the setting to burst and wait for my command,” Luigi instructed as I found the burst setting as the hats came back together. “If we can’t strike you with cards, we’ll strike you as one!” One of the hats exclaimed as the three hats slowly made their way to the center of the platform, trapping us in there. “NOW!” Luigi exclaimed as we flew a few feet up into the air as a large burst of wind came out of the poultergust, flipping the hats over to reveal a bunch of colorful napkins. “Alright, we can only get two of them, let’s do this!” Luigi said as we each went over to a hat and pulled the napkins to reveal Lindsey and Nikki. “Well it took you awhile to find us,” Nikki said with a chuckle. “Like to say congratulations, but it’s time for you to die now,” Lindsey said as they started firing smaller magic lasers at me and Luigi. “Not this time!” I exclaimed as I switched back to the flashlight and fired it at Lindsey as she covered her eyes. “AHH, that bloody light!” Lindsey exclaimed as I then proceeded to suck her up into my ponygust. “NOOO, Not again!” Lindsey exclaimed as she tried to drag me around the stage but I held my grip far better than last time as I sucked her up in one fell swoop. “Now that’s what I call a final curtain call,” I said as I looked over to Luigi who had just sucked up Nikki as well. “Great work Twilight!” Luigi exclaimed as a shadow then covered him. “MY SISTERS!! YOU’LL PAY FOR ALL YOU’VE DONE!!” A giant Ginny exclaimed with eyes of rage. Before we could react, Ginny summoned the magic chains and chained us up. “THIS IS YOU’RE FINAL CURTAIN CALL!!” Ginny exclaimed as she fired a barrage of magic lasers at us, knowing we couldn’t dodge them. “Well, this is it,” Luigi said as he closed his eyes, as the lasers missed. “I…have tricks up my sleeve as well you know!” I exclaimed as my magic shield deflected the lasers at the last minute. “NO FAIR!” Ginny exclaimed as I teleported me and Luigi out of the chains. “Now say hello to this!” Luigi and I exclaimed as we fired our flashlights at the same time. “AHH, THAT CURSED LIGHT!!” Ginny exclaimed as she shrunk back down to normal. “Ready Twilight?” Luigi asked as I nodded my head as we began to suck of Ginny. “YOU’LL PAY FOR THIS! I AND MY SISTER’s WILL!” Ginny exclaimed as Luigi finished the job and sucked her into his poultergust with one fell swoop. “We did it!” I exclaimed as we did a little victory dance. “Now that was a scary, yet exciting performance, say Twilight!” Luigi said as the illusion dimension slowly faded back into reality as we reappeared on stage. “Now I think I have a new reason for my stage fright,” Luigi nervously said. “That’s quite understandable, now, shall we press onward?” I asked as I pointed to the bedroom door. “I’d say we shall,” Luigi said as we entered the same bedroom as before and entered the other door as we saw yet another staircase. We climbed it to the top where there was yet another door. “Let’s head in, I said as Luigi opened the door and we entered it, right as it locked behind us. . . . “...There isn’t a word to describe how furious I am right now,” King Boo said rather calmly. “We should have known those sisters wouldn’t be enough, Luigi already defeated them all on his own last time!” Hellen said. “You need to get your act together Hellen, those two are just one floor below us now,” King Boo said unsettlingly calmly. “Don’t worry my king, I’ll have those two in chains, ready to be framed for your collection!” Hellen nervously said. “Don’t disappoint me, you already did that once,” King Boo said when suddenly, an alert appeared on the screen. “What’s this?” Hellen said as she and King Boo looked at the monitor. “A dimensional earthquake is right about to happen..? What is that?” King Boo asked just as the floor started to shake rapidly. “What’s happening?” Hellen asked as her chair then moved. After a few seconds, the shaking stopped. “What was that?” Hellen asked as she then noticed something in the sky. “Look!” “Is that some sort of…reef in the sky?” King Boo asked as he looked outside. He was right, In the sky, among his clouds of darkness, these purple reefs were cutting through the clouds, sucking them in if they got too close. “How did those even get here” Hellen asked nervously. “I don’t know what they are but I like this,” King Boo said excitedly. “This could be bad, it appears that a creature from another dimension has come into this one, I can only assume that’s why these dimensional reefs are here,” Hellen explained. “Hm, that’s quite interesting, I want to know more about these reefs, they could be useful…wait a second, that old coat created a dimensional travel device,” King Boo said. “Oh I see what you’re thinking,” Hellen said. “I want that device back, quickly!” King Boo exclaimed. “I’ll send a ghost to,” Hellen said. “No, no, you’ve sent enough weak ghosts to do our bidding, I’m sending a ghost this time!” King Boo interrupted. “And who do you have in mind?” Hellen asked. “We’ll send your cat to get it!” King Boo exclaimed. “Very well, I know my poulterkitty can pick up the device in five seconds tops!” Hellen said. “Then do it! NOW!” King Boo exclaimed. “Soon, the rest of those other dimensions will be mine for the taking, I won’t be King Boo, I’ll be Grandmaster King Boo!! The universe will be mine once I defeat that slurping spaghetti loser and his little filly sidekick!” King Boo exclaimed as he howled with laughter as lighting struck from afar. This was going to be FUN. Chapter 11: Recovering and SufferingI don’t remember much about what happened when my horn was attached to the Super Suction, all that I remember was seeing Luigi destroy the ticket booth and the statue, what I do remember was waking up back in Egad’s lab…and seeing this ghost dog licking me. “AHH, what…what is that?” I jumped into the air as I tried to move away from the ghost dog, only for my legs to stand like spaghetti straps as I fell back to the ground. “I wouldn’t try to stand Twilight, your legs need to heal first,” I heard Egad’s voice as I looked up and saw the professor. “E…Egad? What’s going on? Where am I, where’s Luigi and what is that ghost?” I asked nervously. “Relax Twilight, you’re back in the secret lab, you took quite a beating to the Super Suction,” Egad explained. “Now I remember, that…wasn’t pleasant at all,” I said as I held my head. “I apologize for that one, I should have known that not even a creature such as yourself could take on that much power all at once,” Egad said. “It’s…it’s fine, I’ve handled worse before,” I said as I noticed the ghost dog from before entered the room. “Ahh, the ghost dog!” I exclaimed in fear as I held my horn at the ready. “Don't worry Twilight, he won’t hurt you,” Egad said as he picked up the ghost dog as the dog started to lick his face. “W..W…W..What is that?” I asked nervously. “His name is Poulterpup, Luigi adopted him after his first encounter with ghosts,” Egad explained as Poulterpup then jumped down from Egad’s arms and went closer to me as he looked at me excitedly. “Go on, give him some pats,” Egad said while I gave him a few pats before he started to lick my face. “S, Stop it!” I said as I gave a smile. “Alright Egad, I’ve emptied the poultergust, and I’m all set to go, I see you met Poulterpup,” Luigi said as Poulterpup then rushed back to Luigi as he jumped into his arms. “I see you met a new friend,” Luigi said as Poulterpup proceeded to lick Luigi’s face. “He’s quite an adorable dog,” I said as my legs started to feel rested, and I could stand much easier now. "The numbing should be over now, I see you’re already on your legs Twilight,” Egad said with a little bit of surprise in his voice. “I suppose I heal quickly, this isn’t my first time dealing with physical pain before,” I said. “Very well, I suppose it’s safe to let you and Luigi continue your adventure, just try not to faint again,” Egad said with a chuckle. After I gave Poulterpup a few more pats, we repeated our goodbyes as we headed back through the TV and entered the destroyed ticket booth. “Ready to enter the door?” Luigi asked as we opened the door, and our jaws crashed. “Welcome to Boo’s Boardwalk, the funniest place in the world!” An intercom said as we looked around the park. There was yet another statue of King Boo along with statues of boos all over this park, every single ride, there was King Boo’s face on it, and even the food had his icon on them such as the clever names of the Haunted House Hamburger or the Freighting Frys. “I…I…I…I…I…I…I don’t like this one bit,” Luigi nervously stuttered while he was shaking with fear filling his entire body. “I didn’t know this King Boo was so obsessed with himself,” I said as we slowly entered the park. Just like at the entrance to this park, everywhere you looked, there was King Boo’s face, everything from the dangerously looking rides to the simple benches and trash cans had his face on them. “I’ve seen dangerous-looking rides back in my world before…but I’ve never seen rides such as this,” I said as I started to feel nervous just by looking at these rides. “I’m too much of a chicken to go on rides like this but I know they're scary as well,” Luigi said. “I’m guessing you're not much of a Rollercoaster fan?” I asked. “Unless it’s a merry-go-round, not at all,” Luigi said. “My brother’s always been the one who could ride a hundred of those rides and come out on top, for me, well, I’m sure you can figure out that part,” Luigi said as I saw his cheeks turning a little pink. “The same applies to me and my brother, he could ride those all day if he could,” I said. “Seems we both know what it’s like to have confident brothers,” Luigi said. “Despite that, I’m not sure there is anything I wouldn’t do for him,” I said. “I couldn’t say it better myself when it comes to my brother,” Luigi said as we continued to explore this creepy park until we came across something…odd. As we trotted further into this park, so far into the park that it was nearly impossible to tell where we’d been, we came across what seemed to be a regular carnival game. We’d seen several of these in the park so it didn’t draw much attention to us until Luigi noticed something that interested him. “Wait a second, Mario!” Luigi exclaimed as he sprinted over the game where there seemed to be a painting of this other human who looked related to Luigi. “Don’t worry Mario! I’ll get you out of there!” Luigi exclaimed as he switched his Poultergust to the dark light setting and pointed it at the painting. Soon the painting turned into a rainbow of colors. “What’s happening?” I asked. “I’m getting my brother out of that painting!” Luigi exclaimed as the painting turned white, almost as if Luigi was going to do it…until something happened, the painting turned into a puff of smoke, and then it was gone. “NO, MARIO!” Luigi exclaimed with anger and a little bit of sadness as he slammed his hand on the stand. “I was this close!” Luigi then changed the setting back on his Poultergust. “Don’t worry, we’ll get him back!” I said as I tried to comfort Luigi when something else happened. I felt a disturbance around us as if someone was watching us closely…until I felt something creep onto my back…and it wasn’t Luigi’s hand this time. “YES! I finally found Luigi!” This new ghost exclaimed as he came out of the ground, cheering. This ghost was yellow as he wore a dusty suit with a bow tie, a black top hat, and what looked like some sort of cane. “The boss will be most pleased to hear about this!” This ghost exclaimed. “Who…who are you?” I asked angrily. “Why, I’m the groundskeeper to this park, Banshee Boosmith, and I’m about to capture you!” Banshee exclaimed with joy in her voice. “Uh…can’t we just be good customers?” I asked nervously. “Didn’t you read the park rules? No humans or animals allowed!” Banshee exclaimed with anger in his voice. “Can’t you make an exception for talking…animals?” Luigi asked, knowing the answer already. “NOT. AT. ALL!” Banshee exclaimed when all of a sudden, he fled. “Where is he going to?” I asked nervously. “Twilight, we need to run,” Luigi said so stirn and quietly. “What, why?” I asked nervously. I’ll never forget how Luigi only responded by pointing his finger towards the other attractions. I turned around and saw that the Ferris wheel stopped moving as it began to shake. It was hard to see it all happen from the ground but the wheel broke off of the beams holding it up as it began to roll towards us, destroying anything in its path. “RUN,” Luigi exclaimed as we began to sprint away from the wheel while it began to chase after us, only it was far faster than our feet. Right when we saw what looked like a door, possibly leading to another staircase. Right when it seemed like we were about to escape, I saw that Luigi had tripped and fallen to the ground just as the wheel was about to crush him, and it looked like the end for Luigi… Chapter 12: Step Right Up…until he looked up…and the wheel wasn’t moving. “What sorcery is this?!” Banshee exclaimed with anger in his voice. “Quick, I can’t hold him for long!” I yelled as my magic broke just as Luigi got back up on his feet and we tried to run to the door again but the wheel blocked us from escaping this time. “You think you can just run from me? You’ll regret that choice!” Banshee exclaimed while we had no choice but to run in the opposite direction. “What do we do? We can’t outrun this wheel!” Luigi panicked while I tried my hardest to look for a possible solution around the park until I noticed one of the roller coasters that went up rather high in height, enough to reach the Ferris Wheel. “I have an idea, sprint to that ride!” I said as we dashed to the ride called: The Blazing Boo. Thankfully, there was no line in sight as we quickly made our way to the front where we sat in the front of the coaster. “For your safety and the amusement of King Boo himself, please scream like you’re about to die because you are. Enjoy the ride.” The intercom said as the ride took off in an instant. “So what’s the plan?” Luigi screamed as I could barely hear him over how fast the ride was moving. “We try to flash the ghost from here,” I quickly said as Banshee noticed us. “Having fun? How about this for amusement?” Banshee exclaimed as she rolled over to what looked like a later part of the track and rolled into it, destroying the part of the track. “Oh No! We're going to crash!” Luigi exclaimed with fear in his eyes. “Not yet, we just have to flash him before then!” I exclaimed as the coaster approached another hill just as Banshee started rolling closer to us while I got a bad idea. “Hold on Luigi,” I yelled. Before Luigi could respond, I used my magic to throw him out of the coaster and send him into one of the intact Ferris wheel coasters. “Twilight!” I heard Luigi shout but it was too late. It was reckless of me but I knew it would give us a chance to flash him, considering the coaster was about to fall off the tracks. “Ok, how do I stop this thing?” I thought to myself as I tried to use my magic to slow the coaster down, unfortunately, it did nothing to slow it down as I’m sure it was moving way too fast to slow down. “Ok, onto the next idea,” I thought to myself as I thought of an idea. I could use my magic to release the lock bar on the coaster and just before it fell off the tracks, I jumped out of it and landed on the tracks. “You survived?!” I heard Banshee’s voice right behind me as I turned around. “I’ll take care of that-” Banshee was about to turn his attention toward me when he stopped as if he couldn’t move the Ferris Wheel. “Sorry, I’m shutting this ride down!” I heard Luigi exclaim as I saw a bright light from the Ferris wheel and in one motion, the wheel fell to the ground and broke apart into several pieces, revealing Banshee. “NO, the Ferris wheel, do you brats know how much paperwork this will bring?” Banshee exclaimed with anger in his voice. “Not enough to stop us!” Luigi exclaimed as I saw from the tracks. He came out of the destroyed wheel as he flashed the ghost again as proceeded to suck him into his poultergust. “NO, YOU WON’T TAKE ME! YOU WON’T DEFEAT ME! YOU WILL NEVER STOP-” Banshee exclaimed just as Luigi fully sucked him into his poultergust in one fell swoop. “Luigi!” I shouted as I flew over to the destroyed wheel and landed beside him. “Thank goodness you’re alright,” I said with relief. “Yeah, that was quick thinking of you, sending me into the wheel, even if it did give me a major headache,” Luigi said while holding his head. “I should have considered that,” I said quietly. “It’s ok, we would have become as flat as pancakes if none of us were closer enough, great work!” Luigi said as he gave a thumbs up. “Now I don’t know about you, but I think we better move along now, we don’t have much more ground to tread,” Luigi then pointed to the door that we tried to run to earlier as we wasted no time. We reached the door and both opened it to reveal a line. “That’s…new, I thought there would be stairs like last time,” I said as we made our way through the line. Along the line, there were pictures of what looked like King Boo and Hellen Gravely on all sorts of…date things? There was one of them on a dinner date, one with them on a gondola, one of them on a beach and I think you get the idea. “Do King Boo and Hellen love each other or something?” I asked as I felt a little uncomfortable looking at these pictures. “Well, Hellen does, King Boo could care less about her,” Luigi explained until we reached the end of the line to reveal a boat, made to fit two. “Seems like we have nowhere else to go,” I said as we sat on the boat just as an intercom turned on. “For your safety, please scream like weaklings until this ride comes to a complete stop, now this ride is right about to start,” The intercom said as it ended with a howling of laughter as the boat started to move. At first, the ride began to move rather slowly but after a few seconds, it started to pick up speed, like a lot of speed, to the point where me and Luigi had to hold onto the boat so we didn’t fall out of it until I saw that the water was about to end. Luigi looked down as fear ran across his face. “What’s the matter?” I asked nervously. “Uh,” Luigi struggled to say what was about to happen until I thought of something. “Are we about to go over a huge waterfall?” I asked as Luigi nodded his head. “With sharp rocks at the bottom?” I asked. “Most likely,” Luigi said. “Bring it on,” I said just as we approached the waterfall as we held onto the boat for dear life, not knowing where we were going next. “Almost done, who knew fixing an air conditioner could be so difficult?” I said as I put the finishing touches on the lab's air conditioning. “Bark, Bark!” Poulterpup barked with a happy look on his face. "Yes Poulterpup, now the lab’s going to be much cooler!” I said as I slowly got up from my chair and gave Poulterpup a few rubs on his tummy. “Say, I wonder how Luigi and Twilight are doing,” I said as I returned to my chair and saw they were somehow going up a waterfall. “This doesn't make any sense,” I said as I tried to figure out what was happening. “You’re right Egad, it doesn’t make any sense,” I heard a familiar voice behind me. I turned quickly and saw a ghost I never wanted to see in my lab. “Hellen? What are you doing here? How did you even find this place?” I asked demandingly. “My little Poulterkitty is quite brave for finding things for me, isn’t that right?” Hellen said as she gave her Poulterkitty a few pats. “Well however you got in here without my knowledge, and without pulling the wrong lever, get out of here now!” I demanded. Hellen didn’t say anything in response other than walking closer and closer towards me. “Wait, what are you doing…no…stay back…STAY BACK!! AHHHHH!” Chapter 13: In The Belly Of The Beast“AAAHHHH!!” We continued to scream as we continued falling off the waterfall for what felt like forever. At this point, I wondered if this ride would end until somehow, we saw what looked like land, however, we weren’t prepared for the landing as we fell out of the boat and landed hard on the ground. “OW, my ovaries!” Luigi exclaimed as every part of our body ached. “I think I would have preferred sharp rocks to the rock-hard floor,” I said, but after a little while, we got back up on our legs and started to look around. “Now where exactly are we?” Luigi asked as we looked around this room. It looked very fancy as there were marble walls, not to mention floors, fancy couches, and what looked like a huge screen. “Seems like we’re in the VIP section,” I said as I saw a nearby window. “Wait a second, look at this!” I pointed to the view from the window as Luigi came over. “We seem to be higher up, yet we fell down a waterfall?” I asked. “Well, you got me. By all accounts, it doesn't make sense,” Luigi said as we both felt a vibration from our poultergusts. “I got this,” Luigi said as he pulled out the Virtual Boo and brought it to his face but this time, a worried look crossed his face as he dropped the Virtual Boo as it landed on the ground. “What’s wrong?” I asked nervously. “It said to look at the screen…I didn’t hear Egad's voice…” Luigi said and within seconds, the screen turned on and we froze at what we saw. “Ahh, Luigi, so good to see you again after our last encounter, I see you brought a little weakling to assist you. How foolish,” Hellen said calmly. I saw from the corner of my eye that Luigi froze like he was in a block of ice, I could tell he was too scared to speak so I did what I had to do. “Give it up Hellen! We’ve beaten every challenge you and King boo have thrown at us and we’ll defeat you as well, so give it up!” I exclaimed as Hellen let out a chuckle. “Foolish…what was your name again? Oh right, Twilight Sparkle. Do you think you and this coward can defeat me? Us even? I will say, those are bold words from a horse, you, that scary cat, and that old professor will make a nice addition to the painting,” Hellen said with a smirk. “What are you…no,” I said as Hellen revealed the Switchverse and held it in her hands. “My darling Poulterkitty is wonders for retrieving things, she even found that secret base of yours, too bad we had to capture Egad again,” Hellen smirked. “You may have captured Egad but you still haven’t beaten us, nor that butler, those sisters, or the groundskeeper, at least they were willing to show themselves!” I exclaimed. “Hm, very well, if you want a fight, you and that scared green bean will have to find me, do try to make things entertaining for me, till then!” Hellen said as the screen turned off and returned to the wall, revealing two massive doors. “They got Egad,” Was all Luigi could muster to say. “We’ll get him back…we’ll get all of them back,” I said as I placed my hoof on his hand. “You’re…you’re right, we can defeat her, I hope,” Luigi said we made our way to the giant doors and we opened them to reveal a massive hallway. “These ghosts love their hallways,” I said as we stared to navigate this hallway. “You should have seen the hallways I had to navigate the second time I battled King Boo,” Luigi said as we came across a door. We opened it to reveal what appeared to be a living room. “Hm, this feels…familiar,” Luigi said as he noticed what seemed to be some sort of fan. “I would have thought Hellen would up her game after last time,” Luigi said with a smirk as he started to turn the fan with his Poultergust. “You might want to stand back for this!” I then noticed that the floor was turning as I got closer to Luigi just as the floor turned to reveal some sort of key. “If my memory serves me correctly, we need to gather these keys to open up a secret door, I thought Hellen would put up more of a challenge this time,” Luigi said as I tried to touch the key, only for a laser to pop up and sting me. “OW, I wasn’t expecting that!” I exclaimed as I held my hoof, trying to numb the pain. “You’ll get used to it, there should be an off switch somewhere,” Luigi said as I saw right below the platform, this lever with a lightning bolt symbol. “Could that be it?” I asked as I pointed to the level. “That should be it, the only issue is that I don’t remember how to get to it, my memory isn’t giving me all the details,” Luigi said. “I think I can help with that!” I said as I used my magic to get a tight hold on the lever and started pulling it down, not knowing what I was doing. “Uh, Twilight, stop-” Luigi tried to say but it was too late as I had pulled the lever down. What I would soon figure out was that there was a reason why this room looked just like the last room Luigi had cracked on this last adventure of his. As I pulled the lever, I thought the lasers would turn off, instead all that happened was the door to the room soon became locked with no way out. “Did it work?” I asked when I saw the look on Luigi’s face change to an expression I hadn’t seen on his face, anger. “Wow, I can’t believe you thought I would reuse the same traps I had planned for you last time Luigi, you are such a phony. I hope this room serves you well, it’ll be both you and Twilight’s tombs once my poisonous gas fills the room, have fun!” An intercom with Hellen’s voice said. “What have you done Twilight?” Chapter 14: Put To The Test“So this is how we die, poison gas fills the room and ends us,” Luigi said as he took off his poultergust. “Don’t worry, I know there’s a way out of this room!” I exclaimed while I began to search for clues until Luigi stopped me. “That’s ENOUGH!” Luigi exclaimed in a way I had never heard from him before. “This is it, you always try to find the answer to every single situation we come across! First the spirit balls, then the three doors and you pulling the lever with no idea what would happen! Do you even know what we’re dealing with? This isn’t a game Twilight!” Luigi snapped as he shouted all of this at me. “But…I…I was just trying to help..” I responded calmly. “You were just trying to help or were you trying to take over?” Luigi asked furiously. “I…I wasn’t trying to…I…I just…I was trying to help out…” I said while fractions of tears started to form around my eyes. “I was here first! You’re the newbie here, YOU ARE NOT IN CHARGE!” Luigi yelled as he sat on a nearby couch and placed his hand on his head. “I’m….I’m sorry….it’s…” Luigi said calmly as I sat next to him on the couch. “Is…anything bothering you?” I asked after a few long seconds of silence. “It’s just that…I’ve always done this on my own. Sure Egad and Poulterpup are helping along the adventure but I’ve always been exploring these mansions on my own, other than Goouigi but he felt more of a device than anything. When you came along, I was glad I wouldn’t be exploring this palace alone this time. I would have someone to talk to, I would have an extra companion, I kind of thought I could also be a mentor of sorts, just like Egad was to me. At first, I was just that but I saw that you knew everything I wanted to teach you. You knew how to light up the room, how to use the ponygust almost instantly, what door to pick, and how to defeat the bigger ghosts, something that I’m still not a master at. I felt like I wasn’t needed anymore, even though that’s a selfish reason for being mad at you for trying to help…I just felt like player two when I thought I would be player one for a change, I’m sorry,” Luigi said as I could see tiny tears streaming down his face. “I…I’m sorry…I…I didn’t know, I didn’t mean to steal your thunder, I thought I needed to be a master at this ghost-busting business to stand a chance at stopping King Boo and Hellen together. I didn’t know you wanted to help me out, I would have been thrilled to learn from you that way, even if I did learn a lot of moves from you back there,” I said with a faint smile. “It’s not your fault you learn quickly…just…even though I always get terrified of these places…it’s what I’m known for. My brother always goes on these massive, high steak adventures worldwide and, I’m just his sidekick, his player two. These adventures are all that I get to shine in and well…I felt threatened when I should have viewed you as a friend…I’m sorry,” Luigi said quietly, just as quietly as Fluttershy’s quiet voice, maybe even quieter. “Well, I can certainly understand your motives, my brother has always been better at talking to other ponies and being a leader while I never learned how to do any of that before I met my best of best friends. Magic was all that I had back when we lived together and I know for a fact I would have felt threatened if you showed up and just mastered it faster than I could have,” I said as I thought back to all the times my brother was in the spotlight while I was more off to the sidelines. “Seems we both know where we’re coming from, being the younger sibling to player one,” Luigi said. “Yeah…maybe we both wanted the player one title without knowing it,” I said as a few seconds passed before Luigi spoke up. “Maybe…maybe it’s time to drop number one,” Luigi said as he stood up. “What do you mean?” I asked. “Well, we are a team, we can’t be focused on titles if we want a chance to stop King Boo and Hellen while also saving both our worlds,” Luigi said as I stood up. “Well, there’s no player one and two in a team,” I said. “That’s the spirit, so, let’s find a way out of here and save the day as a team!” Luigi said confidently. “I couldn’t say it better myself,” I said as we searched for a way out of the room. “Hm, there has to be a way out of here,” Luigi said as he flipped the platform back and forth until I noticed something interesting. “Hey, do you see this? There seems to be some sort of vent,” I pointed out as Luigi stopped the platform. “You're right, we can crawl out of here!” Luigi said as he started to open the vent until I started to smell something...odd. "Hey...do...do you smell that?" I asked in-between coughs. "Yes...oh no, she wasn't lying about the poisonous gas!" Luigi exclaimed as in a few moments, we couldn't do anything but cough for what felt like eons. "What do we do! I can't...use my magic against this gas! I'm too weak!" I exclaimed between several dozen coughs. "It's risky, but I think I have an idea!" Luigi exclaimed as he pulled out the tube with the superstars from the Poultergust. "You want to use the superstars! But Egad told us to save those for a last resort!" I exclaimed. "This is a last resort Twilight, we have to use them!" Luigi exclaimed, knowing that we didn't have a choice. I nodded my head and with a lot of force, Luigi pulled out the top of the tube as he gave me a star with two oval eyes that looked extremely pretty. "On three....three!" Luigi exclaimed as he crushed the star in his hand as his whole entire body began to glow with starlight. His body flashed several colors a second, it was hard to look at him with just how bright he looked. "You're turn Twilight, just crushed the star with you're hooves! We don't have a lot of time!" Luigi said as he wasn't coughing from the gas anymore. "Alright! Here goes nothing!" I exclaimed as I crushed the star to the ground as swiftly as I could. In that moment, I felt...different. It reminded me of when the three princess transferred there magic into me to keep it safe from Tirek not too long ago as I felt like there magic had been transferred into me. I felt a rush of power throughout my body, I felt....well....powerful. "Woah, I feel amazing!" I exclaimed as I took a look at my powered up self. My body and hooves were shinning with flashing colors and lights like a firework show. I felt my magic levels were through the roof, I felt as if I could do anything in that moment. "These stars do make you feel amazing, don't they?" Luigi asked. "They certainly do!" I exclaimed. "Now we don't have much time before they wear off, we need to sneak through the vents," Luigi said as we did just that. Using my new, powerful magic, I was able to open the vent door very quickly and it was just big enough for the two of us to crawl through. We crawled through the ventilation for what felt like days until Luigi spotted the hallway from where we entered the living room. We crawled out of the vent until we noticed something odd about the hallway. There were no doors, the lights were practically nonexistent and at the end of the hallway was this huge open door of King Boo. “Seems like we don’t have another option,” Luigi said just as our star powers wore off as we retuned to our normal looks. "Well it was fun while it lasted, it certainly was a rush," I said. "It always is, even after using them so much over the last few decades," Luigi responded as we proceeded to trot through the door. We entered this room filled with screens, a desk, a chair, and dim lights, it was quite upsetting and a little bit sad. “H…hello?” I asked nervously. “Well well well, I wasn’t expecting you two to make it here,” Hellen’s voice said as we turned around and saw her facing a nearby window, looking mad but also relieved, it was giving me and Luigi the most uncomfortable and unsettling feeling. “You lot are always full of surprises, you know that?” Hellen said as she turned to us. “Yeah, I’ve been told that before,” I said confidently. “Yet you wanna-be heroes are always the ones who ruin all of my plans,” Hellen said loudly “And we’ll ruin this one!” Luigi said nervously. “Is that so? Do you think you can stop me again? Such confidence from a weak little scary cat!” Hellen laughed. “That scared cat isn’t alone this time,” I said confidently. “You’re right, you two have been nothing more than a hole in our plans. Framing the both of you in our little painting will be twice as much fun!” Hellen said with a smile on her face. “There’s just one more thing that we have to ask,” An unfamiliar voice said just as we turned around and I saw what looked like King Boo holding a painting as he slammed the door close. “How should we watch you pay for all you’ve done?” King Boo asked with a very evil laugh. “AHHHHHHHH!!” Luigi and I screamed louder than I ever had before. Luigi wasn’t kidding, King Boo looked quite terrifying. With his glowing purple eyes, sharp spiked teeth, not to mention this all-powerful crown with a purple gem that rested on top of his head…he looked tough to beat. My friends and I have taken down many villains before, each being very challenging but this time, I was very unsure of how to take down this villain, let alone King Boo and Hellen at the same time. All we had were these vacuums, we didn’t have many tools. “You two and that dinky little professor thought you could defeat us, US?” King Boo exclaimed as he used his crown to lift the painting that I could only assume had Luigi’s brother along with someone else in it. He then summoned this small cage that to our dismay, Egad along with Poulterpup was it. “Egad! Poulterpup!” Luigi exclaimed with tears. “Oh yes, you can say goodbye to this old coat, and your little dog too!” King Boo exclaimed as Poulterpup barked a few times before Egad threw the two into the painting but he didn’t close it off. “Hm, something is missing from this portrait.....oh, I know what's missing. I think there’s room for two more creatures, and they share you're names!” King Boo said with an evil smile. “Not this time you wicked beast, there’s two of us now! You couldn't even capture me when it was just me for three times in a row! I'd like to see you try and capture two of us!” Luigi exclaimed with fear as we both drew our Poultergusts at the ready, for a battle. “You know there’s two of us as well, right?” Hellen asked. “Oh right, I forgot you were still here, why are you still here?” King Boo asked. “Because we both want to destroy these pests' sweet checks,” Hellen said. “Ugh fine, I’ll be loads more fun watching you pay before I portrait you two, this will be FUN,” King Boo said as we stood still with fear as King Boo drew the first attack, waiting no time whatsoever. He and Hellen were ready for a fight, and we were going to give one right back, it was now, or never. Chapter 15: Life...Or Death...“This will be FUN,” King Boo said as within seconds, the room started to shake uncontrollably. The walls and floor crumbled around us within seconds after the shaking. “What’s going on?” I asked nervously as we fell off the floor until we landed on what seemed to be some sort of platform with these purple reefs around us. “There, now that clears the battlefield,” Hellen said as King Boo wasted no time firing his first attack. His crown then turned a bright orange as these fireballs came out of his crown as the fireballs rolled toward us. “I think we need to dodge them?” I quickly asked Luigi. “Yes, blow them away if you can!” Luigi said as I switched to the blow setting and used the ponygust to blow the fireballs away from me as they disappeared at the other side of the platform. “Hm, impressive,” King Boo said. “My turn,” Hellen said as this giant laser-like wall separated me and Luigi. “Lasers, I hate lasers, Luigi angrily said. “Now, have a taste of my new laser walls!” Hellen exclaimed as the laser wall moved away from me but closer to Luigi. “This isn’t good,” I said as the wall moved so fast that it approached me rather quickly. We kept running from the wall until it stopped, sinking into the platform. “Boring, now this will make them scream!” King Boo said as these dark clouds then circled the platform. “Feast on my lighting pests!” King Boo said as these purple shadows covered most of the platform. “Quickly Twilight!” Luigi said as he ran to a spot with no purple shadow. I was about to reach the spot when the clouds struck, striking me. “YEOW, that’s unpleasant,” I exclaimed. “We got one!” King Boo and Hellen exclaimed with joy. “You ok Twilight?” Luigi asked as he quickly helped me up. “I…I’m fine,” I said as I got back up. “They are too powerful, how in Equestria can we defeat them?” I noticed that Hellen came over to the platform with some kind of mirror. “I hope you enjoyed the lighting Twilight, but it’s time for you two to die now,” Hellen said as she started to charge at us. “Wait, Hellen!” King Boo exclaimed as me and Luigi moved out of the way of her mirror as she struck the ground instead, getting her mirror stuck. “Curses, my precious mirror!” Hellen exclaimed as she tried to pull her mirror out of the platform. “Now! Let’s get her!” Luigi said as we flashed Hellen, catching her in the vacuum’s hose. “NO, I WON’T TAKE A SECOND BEATING AGAIN!” Hellen yelled as she tried to pull herself out of the poultergust as nothing she did was working. “KING BOO, HELP ME, MY LOVE!!” “Eh, this was your doing,” King Boo said as I sucked Hellen into the ponygust in one fell swoop. “She was tough,” I said, wiping sweat off my face. “Finally, you have no idea how annoying she was, always obsessing over me,” King Boo said as he came closer to the platform. “Now it’s time to end this!” Luigi said as King Boo laughed. “You think you won?” King Boo asked with a smile. “We all know who’s going to live and who’s going into this vacuum!” I said as King Boo continued to smile. “Oh, contrary my friends, Hellen may have been a weakling….but you have yet to see my FULL POWER!” King Boo said as he slowly moved away from the platform as he summoned the painting with Egad, Poulterpup, Luigi’s brother and the princess. “Let me show you what real power looks like, MAXIMUM POWERRRRR!!” The crown that rested on King Boo’s head then turned a bright purple as it shot a laser beam at the painting, creating some sort of portal in the painting as it started to grow bigger and bigger until it covered our view of the gloomy sky. “What’s going on?” I asked nervously. “No, it’s happening again,” Luigi said as I noticed something odd behind us. The dice blocks, the show props, and even parts of the floor from the magic floor began to levitate toward the painting. “Let’s see you two suck up your way out of this one!” King Boo said as he came back to the platform. “King Boo, this is insane, you have no idea what you're doing!” I exclaimed with fear. “Of course I do, I’m doing what I should have done, destroying you two the moment you came out of that portal!” King Boo exclaimed as the platform started to rotate, pushing us off the platform. “We’re gonna fall!” Luigi said as I thought of an idea. “Quickly, jump on my back!” I exclaimed as Luigi quickly got on my back as I opened up my wings. “Wait, get back here!” King Boo exclaimed as I jumped off the platform and then flew away from King Boo’s range. “Mama Mia, this is awesome!” Luigi exclaimed as I turned back towards King Boo. “I should have known you would do that you purple abomination, I’ll make you drop out of the sky!” King Boo exclaimed as his crown started to shoot massive purple lasers at me as I quickly flew away. “GET BACK HERE!! I WANT TO SEE THE LIGHT LEAVE YOUR EYES BEFORE I KILL YOU FOR GOOD!!” King Boo yelled as for his size, he was a fast flyer, faster than me. “I can’t keep this up forever, he has to have a weak point!” I exclaimed. “Wait a second, I have it, look at what time it is!” Luigi said as I briefly checked my ponygust. “Uh, six in the morning?’ I asked confusingly as I continued to dodge the king’s attacks. “And what makes a ghost go poof?” Luigi asked as I figured out what he was thinking of. “I’m on it!” I said as I started to fly towards the black clouds as King Boo chased after us. “WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU BRATS ARE GOING?!” King Boo yelled in anger. “Now stop, this should do it!” Luigi said as I flew through the clouds, overlooking the nighttime sky. “THAT’S FAR ENOUGH!!” King Boo yelled as the enormous painting from before came with King Boo and it started to suck up the clouds as well. “I HAVE HAD IT WITH YOU DODGING MY ATTACKS, I REFUSE TO TAKE ANOTHER LOSS TO CHICKENS LIKE YOU TWO!! I THINK IT’S TIME I RETIRE THESE GHOSTBUSTERS…BY SPILLING THEIR BLOOD BEFORE I FRAME THEM!!” King Boo exclaimed as his eyes were now filled with black…and blood red as his painting was so powerful that it was becoming much harder to resist it. “Say King Boo, do you know what time it is?” Luigi asked with a smile. “YOU ASK ME ABOUT THE TIME?? IT’S TIME FOR YOU TO DIE NOW!!” King Boo exclaimed as I looked around and saw the edges of what appeared to be a sun as it started to light up the sky. “WAIT, WHAT’S GOING ON? MY DARKNESS!” King Boo exclaimed as he looked passed up and covered his eyes. “AHHHH, THE SUN, NOT THE SUN, MY BOOTIFUL EYES!!” King Boo exclaimed as me and Luigi gave a nod as we approached King Boo. “Now, follow my lead,” Luigi said as we used his poultergust to grab his tongue. “WAIT, NO!! WHAT AWE YOU DOING? NO, I WON'T WET YOU SUCK ME UP AGAIN!!” King Boo exclaimed as we continued to pull in our absolute hardest efforts. “IN. YOU. GO!” I said as Luigi’s poultergust came off as King Boo looked at me with blood red in his eyes. “MARK MY WORDS TWILIGHT SPARKLE. I WILL RETURN, STRONGER THAN EVER. I’LL NEVER LET YOU GO, LEAVE YOU ALONE, EVERY TIME YOU DREAM…I’LL BE THERE TO REMIND YOU THAT YOU’LL NEVER ESCAPE…no…..NOOOOOOOOOO!!” King Boo exclaimed as I pulled and just like that, he entered my ponygust in one fell swoop. “We…did…it…” I said as I could feel my strength leaving my body as we started to fall out of the sky. Chapter 16: Comes Back Around“Twilight….TWILIGHT!!” I heard Luigi screaming as I tried to open my eyes to see the ground rapidly approaching. “We’re gonna crash!” Luigi screamed as I opened my eyes for good and tried to slow our fall. “Don’t worry, I got this!” I exclaimed as I struggled to slow my fall so we wouldn’t crash too hard on the ground. That was when I noticed a huge lake nearby. “You’re gonna have to trust me on this one!” I exclaimed as I tossed Luigi off my back and he became in position of the lake. “What are you doing!” Luigi asked nervously. “Saving yourself!” I said as with Luigi off my back, I slowed my fall as I landed on the ground with a slight crash. I looked around to see Luigi landed in the lake with a mighty splash. “Luigi!” I exclaimed as I flew over to the lake and saw Luigi crawling out, spitting water out of his mouth. “Gah, unfiltered lake water is the worst!” Luigi said as I helped him up. “You did it Twilight!” Luigi then placed his hand on my back. “Nah, we did it!” I said as we gave each other a hand. “Say, where is the painting?” Luigi asked as we looked around. “It has to be somewhere around here,” I said as after a bit of searching, we found the painting near this green pipe near the castle, speaking of, we saw that the castle still looked all creepy looking, nothing changed about that. Luigi then picked up the painting and placed it beside the green pipe. “I hope this works!” Luigi said as he activated the dark light and flashed it toward the painting. Within seconds, the painting turned a bright rainbow-colored swirl as the princess came out of the painting first rather gracefully. “Uh, what happened? Where’s King Boo?” The princess asked nervously. She wore a bright pink dress with white gloves on her hands, blue earrings, and this golden crown that rested on top of her blond hair. “Peach, it’s all taken care of,” Luigi said as a few seconds passed, this other human came out of the painting. He looked a lot like Luigi though instead of green, he had a red and blue set of overalls, only he looked shorter next to Luigi. “Mama Mia, what…what in the Mushroom happened?” The person asked. “MARIO!” Luigi said as he rushed over to Mario and the two hugged for what seemed like forever. “I missed you bro” Luigi exclaimed. “I missed you two bro, but I knew you would come to the rescue, just like you always do,” Mario said as they broke up the hug, only for Luigi to get knocked to the ground as Poulterpup started licking his face. “I…I…I missed you two Poulterpup!” Luigi said in bits of laughter as he got back up. Lastly, Egad came out of the painting as he fell to the ground, which I helped him up. “What…what happened? Did you two defeat King Boo and Hellen once more?” Egad asked. “We sure did!” I said excitedly. “Good because I do not want to be stuck in another painting again,” Egad said with a smile. “You’re one to talk about that, say, who is this?” Mario asked as he pointed to me. “Everyone met Twilight Sparkle, she’s from another dimension, she’s fought villains before and aren’t you something of a princess?” Luigi said. “Yes I am, the princess of friendship,” I responded. “And she’s the princess of friendship,” Luigi said. “Nice to meet you Twilight, I hope my brother didn’t give you too much trouble,” Mario said while laughing a little. “Not too much,” I said with a chuckle. “Pleasure to meet you, Your Highness,” Peach said as she gave a curtsy. “Pleasure to meet your acquaintance, Your Highness,” I said as I curtsied, still not used to meeting other royals. “I may not have seen it but you and Luigi were brave in there,” Peach said with her hands at her waist. “Oh, it was nothing,” Luigi and I said with a chuckle in our voices. “They speak the truth, it wasn’t anything they hadn’t experienced before, though, for a first adventure, Twilight did better than I expected with the ponygust,” Egad said as I saw Luigi’s face turning a little sad. “Well, I had a pretty great teacher,” I said while Luigi and I hugged. “Would you look at that!” Egad said as he pointed to the sky. The five of us looked up to see that the purple reefs in the sky were starting to shrink as if they were closing on their own. “From my calculations, It seems that the other worlds are reforming, returning to their original places, making us safe from any dimensional trouble,” Egad said happily. “Woo Hoo! We did it!” Luigi said as we gave a high five. “Wait, while we were in that painting, our worlds were at stake?” Mario asked. “Yep,” Luigi said. “I’m so proud of you brother!” Mario said as he and Luigi high-fived. “Now one issue remains, WHAT. HAPPENED. TO. MY. CASTLE?” Peach exclaimed as Luigi and I looked at each other nervously. “Uh…King Boo and Hellen maybe…took over the castle…maybe,” I said nervously. “You’re lucky I’m in a calm mood now…they better not have changed anything,” Peach said as Luigi and I looked at each other. “Alright, now as sad as it’s going to be, I think it’s time you get back to your world Twilight, I’m planning on destroying the Switchverse soon, it’s a device that no one should ever wield again,” Egad explained as he carried the Switchverse. “Wait, you’re leaving already?” Luigi asked in a sad voice. “I do have duties that I have to get back to, being a princess comes with that,” I said with a chuckle. “You got that right,” Peach responded as Egad started the Switchverse. “Well, goodbye Twilight, I’ll miss you,” Luigi said as we hugged. “Hey, I’m not saying goodbye, it’s a goodbye till next time, feel free to call me over whenever you need another assistant,” I said with a chuckle as another portal opened up right next to me. “It’s all ready Twilight!” Egad said while Luigi and I released the hug. “Goodbye, till next time Twilight!” Luigi said as I said goodbye to everyone, I was about to give Egad the NES back when he stopped me. “Keep it, it looks good on you, with you leaving, I have no other use for it,” Egad said with a smile as I kept the device on my head as I kinda liked it. I said my goodbyes once more as I took a deep breath and stepped through the portal, back home to Equestria. The next day . . . It was a peaceful afternoon. The sun was shining, the birds were singing and I was at my desk, almost done signing some papers regarding new duties I had to do. “And done, that took longer than I expected, at least I can catch up on reading the next Daring Do book,” I said to myself as I grabbed the new Daring Do book from the huge bookcase in my room right when something else happened. The ground started to shake, the lights began to flicker and a portal appeared right in the middle of my room. “Fascinating,” I said surprisingly as someone I already knew stepped through the portal, holding the ponygust in his hand. “Twilight, we need your help again, Egad didn’t learn his lesson about fixing broken containment chambers,” Luigi said. “Count me in!” I said as I grabbed the Ponygust and went through the portal to our next adventure. The End
Chapter 10: Bright Lights, Fun Sights and Deadly Frights“Ok, the rooms on the first floor made sense, I can see the magic rooms but this?
“The Mushroom Kingdom is OURS!!”
Chapter 2: Siding With A PonyMeanwhile…in another universe… It was a beautiful day outside.
Right when it seemed like we were about to escape, I saw that Luigi had tripped and fallen to the ground just as the wheel was about to crush him, and it looked like the end for Luigi…
Chapter 12: Step Right Up…until he looked up…and the wheel wasn’t moving. AHHHHH!”
Chapter 13: In The Belly Of The Beast“AAAHHHH!!” We continued to scream as we continued falling off the waterfall for what felt like forever. “What have you done Twilight?”
Chapter 14: Put To The Test“So this is how we die, poison gas fills the room and ends us,” Luigi said as he took off his poultergust.
The End
