“Spike, today sorting is your job. I’m off to see a friend today.”
Twilight stepped outside into pouring rain. No weather was going to stop her from breaking her schedule. She had planned to visit one of her acquaintances in the Everfree Forest, and she was going no matter what. Twilight’s consumption of information meshed well with the unique brewing magic of Zecora, a relatively recent immigrant to Equestria. In fact, Twilight Sparkle had helped her to compile various brews and was preparing to publish one of her first works.
Today, however, was to be a bit more relaxed. While the two mares would of course discuss all sorts of magic, from telekinesis to potions, this was their monthly teatime. A vestige from her days in Canterlot, Twilight was enamored with tea. Zecora, as it turned out, was a connoisseur of all sorts of brews, including Twilight’s favorite drink. The zebra had experimented with different brews since she was a filly on the Serengiddyup plains, but the rich soil of the Everfree Forest provided an even greater opportunity for growing what she needed for her potions…and her stomach. “What would she come up with today?” wondered Twilight.
Descending from a stone outcrop, Twilight arrived at Zecora’s tree house, where the canopy provided some shelter.
“Ah, who has visited here? Come inside, Twilight Sparkle my dear! The rain has made you very wet; you could use a cloth, I bet.”
“Thank you Zecora. I see the steam already and I can’t wait to sample your concoction!”
Zecora, lacking a horn, picked up the teapot and poured the mix into two clay mugs and served Twilight and herself. The unicorn raised her mug to take a whiff of the enticing aroma, and then took her first sip.
“Wow, this is absolutely delightful! In fact, this is some of the best you’ve made! I definitely get the tang; did you squeeze some orange into here?”
“Ah, I did use a pinch of orange. It…oh. Oh shit. Anyway, how is your sex life?”
