“So what is this whole party actually about, Pinkie?” Twilight frowned as she looked around the room, trying to find any clue from the decorations scattered about. There were some looping streamers, some sparkly confetti, a few party games and snacks, and of course her friends already mingling. Nothing that gave her any specific vibe beyond being a normal Pinkie party, though. The only potential hint was Pinkie’s outfit, the mare wearing a big fancy cape and a top hat that somepony might have mistaken for being her Nightmare Night costume if Twilight hadn’t seen her actual costume the night before.
Pinkie happily twirled her cape and giggled. “Oh, didn’t I already tell you? I could’ve sworn I wrote it on the invitations!”
“You wrote that it’s a ‘Hypnovember’ party… but none of us know what that actually means.” Twilight looked around the rest of her friends just to be sure, but only got shrugs and headshakes in return.
“Really? But it’s so obvious! It’s the first day of Hypnovember! It’s a November that’s a whole month all about hypnosis~” Pinkie giggled again.
Twilight blinked, then snorted and shook her head at her friend. “Well, that’s… kind of an explanation, I guess. But that still doesn’t really tell me why anypony would want or need a month like that. You know that ‘hypnosis’ is just a pretend thing they do in comic books and stage shows, right? It’s not actually real, Pinkie.”
“Sure it is! Hypnosis is super duper totally real!”
“It really isn’t.” Twilight sighed and turned her attention to the snack table, spotting a box of cereal that looked rather good after all the candy from the previous day. “Trust me, Pinkie, I’ve read a lot of books and I can tell you for a fact that hypnosis doesn’t work.”
“I have to agree with Twilight.” Applejack piped up from where her and Rainbow Dash were playing one of the party games. “It doesn’t really seem credible. And even if it was, nobody here knows how to do it so I’m not entirely sure what the point of an entire party based around it would be.”
“Of course that would be silly!” Pinkie giggled again. “But it isn’t, because I totally know how to do it! In fact, I already hypnotized each of you before the party started!”
Fluttershy snorted. “Really? I think we’d notice if any of us were hypnotized.”
“That’s why I made you all not notice, silly!” Pinkie winked at her. “That’s half the fun of hypnosis, making you all forget that it happened in the first place~!”
“Well, that’s a logical fallacy.” Twilight rolled her eyes, moving past Pinkie to get to the cupboard and look for her favorite bowl. “You can’t just claim to have hypnotized us and then say we didn’t notice. You’re basing your entire argument on not having to make an argument.”
“I mean, it’s not like I need to prove anything. The important part is that I know about it.”
“But it’s not just about proof.” Twilight headed over to the snack table, setting down her bowl and picking up the cereal box in her magic. “Well, it kind of is, but it’s also about plausibility. What’s more likely, that you actually hypnotized all of us and none of us noticed, or that you’re just making up a story?”
“I for one don’t believe any of that.” She looked over to see Applejack turning her nose up with a huff. “Pretty pink princesses like me don’t listen to other ponies, and they certainly don’t get hypnotized. And my little Dashie here certainly won’t listen to anypony other than me either, will she?” The earth pony swished her dress imperiously as she turned to her maid.
“H-huh? Oh!” Rainbow Dash jumped nervously, looking up from where she’d been trying to figure out the best way to let her princess win the game they were playing. “Yes, Your Highness Princess Jaqueline! I-I mean, uhm, no Your Highness Princess Jaqueline.”
“Hmpf. You better not.” Applejack sniffed haughtily. “But now Pinkie Pie made me imagine that you might, so I think I should discipline you to make sure that doesn’t happen again.”
“Y-yes, Princess Jaqueline!” Rainbow Dash squeaked and shuffled forward to move in front of the other mare, bending over and lifting her skirt to present her ruffled panties.

“But that’s the fallacy again.” Looking over the snack table Twilight frowned and picked up her bowl again, walking around the table to her friend who hadn’t contributed to the discussion yet. “And besides, Applejack and Rainbow Dash could count as dressed up and maybe Rarity…” She looked over the dusty old work shorts and the cow-patterned sleeves the other unicorn was wearing. “But it certainly wouldn’t hold up for me or Fluttershy. Anyway, Rarity, do you mind if I…?”
“Ah ‘preciate you askin’, Twilight, but y’all know Ah’m always happy to provide.” Rarity chuckled, taking the bowl and holding it in front of herself while pushing her chest out. “Hmm? I’m sorry, but if you were hoping for some kind of theme for the party then I’m afraid this one is a bust.” She shook her head before leaning in, burying her face in the bowl to chow down on her cereal.
“I guess you’re right, Twilight. Just goes to show what a smart puppy you are.” Pinkie giggled and bent down to ruffle Twilight’s mane.
Twilight shuddered and moaned, leaning into the pets and shaking her… She paused and pulled her face out of the bowl, milk dripping down her chin as she wiggled her butt in confusion before gasping. “What…? Oh no! Pinkie, have you seen my tail? I can’t believe I lost it!”
“Oops, we can’t have that, can we?” Pinkie giggled and reached into her cape, pulling out a purple plug with long, stiff strands of purple and pink hair coming out of the back. “Every good puppy needs her tail~”

Twilight shivered and drooled, not sure what spell Pinkie was talking about as her head got all fuzzy again, but she did know that loved walkies and that she wanted to make Pinkie happy. How silly of Pinkie to try to convince her that she was hypnotized when Twily was a good girl who loved doing anything Pinkie told her anyway. "You know, if you need a bit more time, I can always go for a walk and come back a bit later." Celestia watched as her student frantically moved around the large table with her newest invention on it for the second time, looking notably more flustered than she had at the start.
"NO!" Twilight whirled around with an oddly panicked expression before visibly calming herself and clearing her throat. "I-I mean, that's not necessary, Princess. I'm almost ready to start again."
"Are you sure? I promise you that I wouldn't mind. I haven't been in town for some time, and Ponyville always seems to have something new in store." She hummed. "There's no shame in it if you want to take a break, you know? I believe you that your invention was working before, but things like this happen to even the best ponies. Just a few minutes away from it might help you figure out what went wrong."
"I'm quite sure, Princess! B-but thank you for the offer. A-anyway, I think we can give it another try now, i-if you're okay with that."
Celestia frowned, feeling like that response had come a little too quickly. She did hope that her student wasn't catastrophizing the situation again. The poor girl looked like she didn't even want to meet her eyes, looking everywhere except at Celestia and trying to hide behind her clipboard. The princess shifted a bit in her thankfully comfortable chair, trying to appear more casual and relaxed to put Twilight at ease, only for her frown to deepen slightly as the motion elicited a squeak from her student and seemed to somehow make her even more flustered than before.her , instead giving her a reassuring smile. "I'm happy to start when you're ready."
"R-right." Twilight nodded, taking a deep steadying breath and focusing on her clipboard. "Okay, uhm, for the record, can you give your name and occupation?"
"Celestia Sol, Princess and Ruler of Equestria. And my date of birth is long before the introduction of current calendars, still." Celestia refrained from rolling her eyes as Twilight went through the list of questions again. She had enough experience with scientists to know that this was necessary, and it was at least less tedious than some court sessions. That didn't mean it couldn't get a little bothersome when an experiment required the same questions be asked again and again, though.
"A-and finally, uhm… i-if you don't mind answering. W-what were you wearing when you arrived here?"
Celestia blinked, surprised by the new and somewhat odd question that her student was visibly penciling in on her clipboard. "A long, champagne-colored dress with gold stitchings. One of Rarity's designs, I believe." She opted not to go into detail on her underwear, as her student already seemed flustered enough, nor did she ask why Twilight had to ask instead of simply writing down her own observations. She was sure there was a good reason that perhaps another scientist would recognize even without having it spelled out.
"R-right, a-and, uhm… w-where is that dress now?" Twilight was hiding her face completely behind her clipboard now, only barely peeking over the upper edge.
Celestia raised an eyebrow, before turning her head just in case this was some kind of trick question. But no, her clothes hadn't been moved. "It's over there on the table, along with my jewelry and my bra and panties." Folded up rather neatly, too, considering how many sad and dejected looks she got from her maid staff anytime she tried to stay in practice back at the palace.

Celestia opened her mouth before freezing as she drew a blank. She knew there was a good and perfectly valid reason, but for some reason she could not think of what that reason was. "W-well, it's only polite not to leave a mess in somepony else's home." She gave a dainty cough to cover her embarrassment at having been caught out and needing to deflect like this. "And I took them off because…" She drew the word out, her thoughts spinning until finally she ~~came up with~~ remembered the answer to Twilight's actual question. "...because I was feeling too warm."
"Because you were feeling too warm," Twilight repeated, staring at her rather incredulously. "You, Princess Celestia, the alicorn who controls the sun, took off your clothes because you were feeling too warm ."
"Indeed." Celestia smiled and nodded. Ponies wore clothes for insulation as much as coverage, after all, so taking some or all of them off because one was feeling too insulated was perfectly reasonable.
"And… you have no issue with sitting there completely naked, right in front of me, in the middle of the library?"
"Why would I?" Celestia needed to pause for only half a second to gather her thoughts this time. "The library is closed. And we've known each other for years, Twilight, for most of your life even. Even if I didn't trust you more than anypony else sans perhaps my sister, I'd say that between your various escapades over the years I'm hardly showing anything that you haven't seen before at one point or another over the years."
Twilight stammered and blushed at the compliment, turning around to run through a breathing exercise. Celestia shifted one leg to rest over the other and waited politely until her student turned around again.
"O-okay! I-I think I'm ready to… to try again now."
Celestia didn't voice that there wasn't really much of an 'again' yet, as she still hadn't actually seen what was under the tarp. Instead she leaned forward slightly with an encouraging smile. "You have my undivided attention, my faithful student."
Twilight muttered something that almost sounded like "that's what I'm afraid of", but before Celestia could ask about it her student gripped the tarp and pulled it off to reveal
"You know, I really won't mind if you need a break to check everything over. I could–" Celestia considered going out for a walk on the town before instantly dismissing the thought. "–look through your shelves for some interesting books. I don't get a lot of time to read things that aren't work-related." She'd probably have to be a bit more careful with the books than usual, too, but that was what magic was for.
"T-that's alright!" Twilight stammered, trying and failing not to stare at her. The poor filly could use a break in Celestia's opinion, looking awfully flustered at what to her mind must have been a string of failures.
"Are you sure, Twilight?" Celestia tried to put a touch of authority into her voice, but wasn't entirely sure if it came through in her slightly breathless cadence. "I'm not putting you at fault for anything, sometimes these things just happen. But you've aborted this experiment thrice now at the last second, and I still haven't even seen what's under the tarp. I'd much rather you took the time necessary to figure out where things are going wrong, rather than trying to brute force it."
"Ah, uhm, you see, t-the thing is…" Twilight squirmed and stammered, clutching her clipboard like a shield and her voice rising to a concerningly high pitch. "Y-you, uhm, you've actually, uhhhh… you've actually already seen what's under the tarp. M-multiple times, actually."
Celestia frowned in confusion. "I know I'm rather old by conventional standards, but I do believe I would remember something like that."
"Y-yes, uhm, normally you would, but… my new invention may have some… unintended side effects? I-it's, uhm, I think I told you about it at the start, did I tell you about it at the start? I-I don't know if I wanted to keep it a surprise or–"
"Twilight!" This time her authority came through clearly, thankfully, making her student lock up. "Deep breaths, Twilight, calm down."
"R-right, yes." Twilight took some shuddering breaths, a small bit of the tension leaking out of her. "W-well, it's uhm, it's supposed to help ponies with their focus, and be a study aid by letting them access more of their subconscious mind and, uhm… o-only I think it works too well, maybe? Because you kind of focused only on your subconscious and kind of a little bit… stopped being aware of things and thinking for yourself. And when I put the tarp back over it, you'd kind of retroactively blanked a couple seconds and forgotten that I pulled it off in the first place?"
Celestia raised an eyebrow at that. She did remember Twilight asking some odd questions the second time around that with context now made a bit more sense. Or they would, if Twilight was actually telling the truth, which she was still rather skeptical about. She would remember if she'd seen what was under that tarp before, she was rather certain of that.
"Yeah, uhm, I realized that that wouldn't really be very believable without some sort of evidence. So I went through the setup again and this time while you were staring at it I tried to make you write a note to yourself. That… didn't really work out either." She picked up a sheet of paper next to the tarp and held it up. It looked, generously and with supposed context, like the result of a unicorn holding a quill at the edge of their magic range and blindly trying to write words.
Celestia blinked, needing a second to parse that jumble of words. Once she did, though, she could only snort and shake her head. "You didn't make me take off my clothes, Twilight. I took them off because I was warm, remember? We already talked about this."
"Yeah, so apparently if you do something while you're in that mindless state, you subconsciously try to justify it afterwards." Celestia only just bit back another dismissive snort at Twilight's reasoning. "I hadn't expected that. B-but I figured maybe that was just because I'd underestimated how much you trust me and it was too easy for you to justify! So I tried to think of something else that you wouldn't be able to justify doing, a-and you were sitting there naked and…" She trailed off, looking meaningfully at Celestia.
Celestia stared back in confusion before looking down to follow Twilight's line of sight. “Welcome to Carousel Boutique, where… hmm?” Rarity paused, looking around the empty store and the still faintly swaying bell over the door. “I guess they changed their mind.”

Or more likely she’d just tried to actively ignore it.
“I suppose if nothing else, I will be positively swamped with commissions these coming weeks.” She shuddered as she thought back to all the fancy and expensive dresses that must have been lost during the shenanigans of last night. Ponies didn’t come to the Grand Galloping Gala in anything but their best, and most of them would now have to replace that best. Perhaps she should advertise some sort of discount for replacements like those and trade some of the profit for the boost in reputation. Then again, most ponies of that social strata could certainly afford full price. Decisions, decisions…
She paused in the middle of a line of stitches, ear twitching as she turned off the sewing machine. Just like she’d thought, there was some strange thick gurgling sound somewhere in the house. “Sweetie Belle? Are you making toast again? I thought I told you to stay out of-” She froze as something brushed against her tail, still leaning over the workbench. “What-?”
Before she could so much as turn her head, something suddenly jumped at her flanks, something thick and goopy latching onto them.
“GYAAAAAAH! ” Rarity shrieked and bucked her hips, only for her legs to buckle as whatever had attacked her started to force itself between her flanks, pushing in deeper and deeper. She perked up as that train of thought reminded her of something else, head turning back and forth until she spotted the small box sitting on the floor next to her desk. The store bell jingling made her perk up, taking a step towards the door before stopping herself. She turned to the mirror again and focused, the patches of goo all over her body shivering and slowly moving towards the nearest opening to slurp back into her body, leaving her fur coat and her mane and tail immaculate. Her stomach and flanks gurgled and wobbled before gradually shrinking, leaving her looking slim and svelte again. She took off her hat and bow tie, hanging them to a corner of the mirror for safekeeping, then pranced away towards the store area.
Inside the store her friend Twilight was waiting, smiling at her as Rarity walked out of the back. “Good morning, Rarity! I wanted to check on you and see how you were doing after all that chaos at the Gala last night.”
“Oh, Twilight! Thank you, darling, but I am doing quite fine. Better than fine, even.” Rarity smiled back, joining her friend on the other side of the counter.
“That’s good to hear. After all that trouble with Discord’s friend, I was a bit worried how you were holding up.”
“Well, I won’t pretend like it didn’t give me a bit of trouble, but it’s all goo under the bridge. If anything, I imagine it’s certainly going to lead to a spike in commissions.” Rarity hummed and perked up. “Oh, that reminds me! Do you think I could borrow Spike again a few times to help me look for more gems?”
“Didn’t you get a lode of gems just last week?” Twilight frowned, thinking. “I was hoping to have him help me with a new delivery of books, actually. I suppose I could spare him for a few- mmmmf?!” Twilight turned her head to see Rarity right in front of her, her eyes going wide as her friend pulled her in and pressed their lips together. Something thick gushed into her mouth, flowing down her throat before moving back up.
The kiss finally broke and Twilight stumbled back, head swimming. “W-what was… Rarity? What did you-?”
“I was just thanking you for being such a good friend and letting me borrow Spike.” Rarity giggled drunkenly, sitting down and leaning back. “But if you’re that confused, I guess I’ll have to thank you more properly.”

I'm open to suggestions, but unless one of those suggestions really inspires me I will probably stick with the short idea I have and use the saved time to focus on Tuesday's prompt which I do have plans for.

“Good morning, sister. Have you had a restful night?”

“Why yes. I thought I would take the opportunity to try and cut back a little.” Luna chuckled and took another sip, watching in amusement as her sister walked back and forth across the room, stepping over to a window to scent the air before turning around and walking back again. “Is everything alright, sister? I didn’t think you would miss the smell of my coffee that much.”
“It’s not that.” Celestia shook her head, turning it left and right before walking again, entirely focused on finding the source of that oddly familiar scent. “Or perhaps it is, but, uhm… but without your coffee there’s something else that I… that I’m noticing…” She frowned, trying to find the right words to describe it as she walked back and forth, slowly closing in on her sister’s side of the table.
“Something else? Oh, do you mean my new perfume perhaps? I found it some weeks ago on a trip through the city and have been meaning to give it a try for a while.” Luna smiled and perked up, flapping her wings softly to brush a faint gust of wind her sister’s way.
“A new perfume? That might be…” Celestia trailed off, nose twitching and pupils dilating slightly as the breeze hit her. “That… that might be it…” She nodded faintly, slowly shuffling closer to her sister.
“It’s quite pleasing , I thought. It has a dreamy quality to it, don’t you agree?” Luna flapped her wings again, turning around on her seat to watch her sister’s approach.
“Yeah, it’s… it’s very nice…” Celestia nodded again, blinking slowly as a dreamy smile slowly grew on her face. “It’s, uhhh… smells kind of… kind of familiar… actually.”

The last thing she wanted was her sister seeing her dreams. All she needed to do was wait out her libido until her dreams calmed down again.
A cool breeze wafted across the table, taking some of the heat out of Celestia’s blush and easing some of her tension. She took another bite of her pancake and let herself slowly relax into the mundanity of breakfast, not noticing her hoof moving down between her legs underneath the table. All she needed was some patience and everything would resolve itself. There was no need to worry about her dreams any further. She took a deep breath and shivered, shooting her sister a smile across the table. Perhaps she could ask Luna about that new perfume before she headed to bed tonight. Feels too much like one of them FlimFlam brothers’ schemes if y’all ask me.”
“Well, they do have quite a lot of different products. And I don’t know how much goes just into producing the raw honey itself. Just think of that big conveyor belt Cherry Jubilee had just to sort her cherries.” Rarity stepped to the side to take a whiff of yet another new type of flowers lining the path, humming in appreciation.
“Ah guess we’ll see.” Applejack huffed, before licking her lips. She couldn’t deny that the new honey brand was in a class of its own, so she really did hope that there didn’t turn out to be some kind of catch to it. The mares who had started setting up their stall in the Ponyville market a few weeks ago certainly didn’t seem shady, happily selling and gossiping with ponies and not being too aggressive with their sales. Not that they really needed to be, with how popular their product had turned out to be.
She blinked, realizing that while she’d been reminiscing, their group had made it all the way to the front gates of the factory. Twilight held up her letter to the bored looking guardspony and they were waved through without any questions, something that certainly wouldn’t have happened in any operation run by the infamous pair of huckster brothers she seemed to keep running into.
As they came closer to the large main building, a smaller door opened not far from the large gates that probably held the loading bay. A tall earth pony mare with a rich amber coat and a yellow and black mane stepped out and waved excitedly at them. “Ah, Princess Twilight and her friends! Welcome, welcome everypony. Thank you all for coming.”
“Thank you for inviting us.” Twilight smiled, leading the group towards the mare. “To be honest, I didn’t expect an invitation to a tour of a honey factory, much less that you’d send one to each of my friends as well. I certainly appreciate it, though, all of us are big fans of your product.”
“Oh, yes, well, we were originally just looking into proposing some small business deals to Sweet Apple Acres, Sugarcube Corner and Carousel Boutique. But when we realized who was likely to be sent to discuss those, we couldn’t just not invite you as well, Your Highness. And well, leaving out the last two of your friends from the invitations just seemed rude at that point.” She giggled. “Oh, but don’t let me ramble on out here, come on in, come on in! We’ve set up a small snack table for you all in case you’re hungry before the tour.”
The group followed the mare through the door into a bee-themed reception area. Applejack gasped as she saw the small buffet, although not as much as Pinkie Pie did. There were enough honeycombs, honey cakes and honey glazed flowers to feed a small Apple family reunion, and that was before you considered the actual honey fountain everything was set up around.
“Wow, that looks- PINKIE! ” Twilight yelped when Pinkie galloped past her and jumped into the fountain, disappearing into the honey for a few seconds before popping back out right underneath one of the fountain spouts, mouth already open.
“Pinkamena Diane Pie! Do you have no sense of composure at all!” Rarity was bright red as she stomped after her friend to berate her and hopefully pull her out of the fountain before the mare’s pink mane was completely soaked beyond help.
“Oh please, don’t trouble yourself for such a silly little thing.” The mare giggled again, waving off. “We have more than enough honey to go around, and I always do enjoy seeing someone so excited about our product. Please, take as much as you want, we can move on to the tour whenever you are ready.”
“Well, if you’re sure, Miss…” Twilight paused in the process of taking a bite of a honeycomb. “My apologies, I don’t think I caught your name?”
“Oh dear, did I forget to introduce myself?! I’m so sorry!” The mare did a curtsy. “Radiant Amber, CEO and owner of the Amber Drop Honey Brand. But that’s a bit of a mouthful, my friends simply call me Honeybee.” She giggled again at what was probably a bit of an inside joke. Or perhaps not as much of an inside joke, Applejack thought as she looked around the honey-themed buffet in the honey-themed room of the honey factory. She chuckled quietly as she took a bite of the honey cake she’d grabbed, before gasping softly as the cake turned out to be filled with more honey that ended up gushing into her mouth and dripping down her chin.
Honeybee winced a little at the sight. “Ah, it’s a bit of a mess, isn’t it? Don’t worry about the floor, it’s certainly no stranger to honey, but I swear we had some napkins and wet wipes. Let me just… go see if I can find them.” The mare looked around in mildly annoyed confusion before turning around to head through a door behind the reception desk, her voice calling for assistance cut off as the door closed behind her.
Applejack chuckled and shook her head before licking the worst of the mess off her hoof, then turning back to the buffet to try a few of the honeyed flowers which seemed to be fresh from the fields outside. Rarity had given up on trying to get Pinkie Pie out of the fountain and had instead found a platter of fruits on sticks, her and Twilight holding them under one of the honey spouts not occupied by Pinkie. Rainbow was stuffing her face with cakes while Fluttershy was quietly but happily sucking on a honeycomb.
Grabbing another honeycomb and one of the fruit kebabs to swish through the fountain, Applejack wondered how much honey they were making at this place that something like this didn’t even register in their books. The Apple family certainly wasn’t shy about putting out regular feasts, but she’d assumed that an apple orchard gave out somewhat more product than a honey… factory? Hive? Whatever you called it. More importantly, she wondered how they could produce this much honey without compromising on quality at all. Quite the opposite, where with any other honey she’d tried she probably would have gotten rather tired of the sweetness by now, this Amber Drop honey was so good that even Twilight and Rainbow Dash couldn’t seem to help themselves from helping themselves to another treat as soon as they finished the last. Applejack realized that she herself had lost track of how much honey she’d ingested by now, and had at some point stopped eating the fruit of the kebab sticks to just lick the honey off them and drag them through the fountain once more.
“Sorry for the wait! I hope you didn’t get too sick of honey while I was gone.”
Applejack blinked and stumbled back a little, finding Miss Honeybee’s smiling face suddenly right in front of her again. She made to give some kind of denial against the mare having to apologize, or against the idea of getting sick of honey somehow, but between her words getting jumbled up and her mouth still busy licking honey off her hoof, it came out as little more than an indistinct mumble.
Miss Honeybee didn’t seem to mind though, and instead produced a cup holder from behind her back, moving nimbly past them across the sticky floor to dip the cups into the fountain. Before any of them had even fully processed her arrival, they were each holding a large covered cup full of honey with a big straw.
“Wonderful! Are you all excited to see our amazing honey factory, then?” The mare stood in front of them again with a bright smile.
Applejack blinked and opened her mouth, then closed it again and nodded slowly, still trying to catch up to everything that was happening. She definitely liked honey and something amazing sounded amazing, but her thoughts felt too slow and sticky to really figure out how to be as excited as Miss Honeybee looked.
The mare didn’t seem to notice the mumbled answers and dazed looks on her guests’ faces, instead happily turning around to lead them towards a door with a cheerful “Follow me, everypony!” Applejack blinked and slowly started forward until she was following at a steady clip with the rest of her friends, absentmindedly bringing the straw of her cup up to her mouth to take some sips between steps.
The group stepped through the door and into a large production hall. Huge machines were stirring honey in massive vats that seemed to be made of solid beeswax, while others were dipping in and out of low basins, lifting up sheets of honey like taffy. Miss Honeybee was talking at the front of the group, pointing left and right and explaining the various machines, but Applejack couldn’t remember a single word she’d said.
A loud slurping sound echoed over the sound of the machines as Pinkie’s cup ran dry, and Applejack found her own cup only a few seconds behind. She started looking around, ignoring their guide as she tried to find some place to refill before freezing in place as a sweet, mesmerizing scent reached her.
She moved forward without a second though, noses twitching as the whole group walked right past Miss Honeybee to instead follow the enticing scent. They only had to turn a corner and walk a bit more until they found the source, a series of tubes all running down a wall to a conveyor belt. Where the honey they’d tried so far had been a rich, amber color, this one was a pure golden color that seemed to glow inside the glass tubes. The conveyor belt was turned off and the tubes turned away from the belt but not closed, leaving a single large, golden drop at the end of each tube facing towards them, covered in a thin layer of hardened honey.
“Oh, you found our little secret.” Honeybee giggled as she watched the ponies slowly shuffle closer and closer to the tubes, eyes locked onto the shimmering golden drops of sweetness. “You may have heard of Royal Jelly. That is… something similar, altered and tweaked specifically for pony consumption and… well.”
None of her guests paid her any mind, simply moving forward until they were each right in front of a tube. One by one they slowly leaned forward to suck the drop away, and each of them moaned and nearly collapsed in pleasure as the honey covered their tastebuds.
Honeybee smiled and slowly moved around the conveyor, golden flames melting her form away like soft wax. None of the ponies paid her any mind as she stopped right in front of them, now clad in chitin with a soft, thick yellow and black fuzz covering her main body, a pair of long antennae standing up on each side of her horn.
“I’d be happy to let you have more. If only you agree to do me a little favor as well. I’m sure you would do anything for more honey, wouldn’t you?” The fuzzy yellow feelers at the end of her antenna lit up with magic, a soft buzzing going out from them that grabbed the ponies’ attention from where they had been trying to get another drop out of the tubes. All six stared at her dumbly for several moments before slowly nodding one by one, mumbling their agreements.
“That’s what I like to hear. And as a reward, you will get all the honey your hearts desire~” She grinned and her feelers lit up brighter, the buzzing getting louder. There was a loud clunk from somewhere above them and the glowing golden honey inside the tubes began to move, gushing over the ponies’ faces before they each eagerly moved forward to latch onto the tubes, moaning and suckling.
Queen Amber watched with a smile as the ponies filled up with her special royal jelly, their pupils gradually changing color until they were a solid gold. By the time she finally shut off the supply again, each pony had a visibly full stomach, yet they were still whining as they licked the last bits off the tubes and then started trying to lick it out of their fur as well. The queen ignored their efforts beyond a small chuckle as she moved around them again, stopping behind the alicorn. A small drop of golden honey dropped right in front of the princess’ eyes made her lean down to lap it up, raising her flanks in the process, and Queen Amber eagerly stepped forward, a large golden cock growing between her legs and pushing into the pony as she mounted the princess. Now it’s time for your part of the bargain. If you’re all good drones and don’t resist, you’ll get all the honey you could want.”
The ponies shuddered happily at that thought, smiling and drooling as a low buzzing slowly got louder and louder. None of them reacted when a dozen pony-sized and pony-shaped bees flew into the hall and gathered above them, and none of them resisted when the bees lifted them up by their shoulders to carry them upwards, their queen following behind.
Applejack’s mind was covered in a thick, wonderfully golden layer of sticky sweetness, drowning out anything else she might have been thinking about. Her tail twitched slightly as she was carried towards a set of small hidden vats of dark amber, almost oaken honey and slowly lowered into one of them. As she sank into the thick, heavy syrup up to her shoulders, she felt something slipped into her ears, a small bud each with an attachment that wrapped snugly around her ear to secure it before stretching upwards, each settling into place right before the honey rose over it and covered them. A soft buzzing filled her ears, growing louder as every other sound was swallowed by the thick syrup. She opened her mouth to let her last breath escape, not worried about air as the syrup flooded into her mouth and nose and every other opening, cradling her and filling her and wrapping around every inch of her while supplying her with everything she needed while the buzzing and the honey drowned her mind as surely as the syrup covered her body.

Queen Amber smiled as she watched the last of the syrup be drained away, now devoid of magic. It had taken a lot of magic to create and even more than that to tweak it to perfection in the first place, but now it was as close as possible to turning a pony into a member of her hive without actually achieving a sorcerer’s ultimate and quite probably impossible goal of permanent transmutation.
As soon as the vats were properly drained, the sides of them swung open on hidden hinges, revealing her newest drones. Each of them looked as close to identical as was possible with their natural differences, covered in shiny skintight wax-based rubber that formed yellow and black stripes. Their cutie marks had turned into a simple black single-piece representation of their old selves trapped inside a drop of amber. The two pegasi and one alicorn had yellow wings while the other three had large transparent bug wings made of the same material as their suits. Their manes and tails were hidden inside a sleek and straight octogonal layer of black rubber-wax. Most eye-catching however were their faces, covered in perfectly identical drone masks with amber lenses, a pair of antennae rising up from behind their ears and bouncing faintly, designed specifically to catch the signals from their queen no matter where and transmit them right to the little earbuds inside their ears.
“Drones. Step forward and stand at attention for your Queen.” She lit her feelers to transmit the orders magically as well. The six former ponies straightened up immediately, stepping forward out of the vat and flying down until they were standing lined up in front of her. “Very good. Tell me what you are.”
“We are Queen Amber’s obedient drones.”
Their synchronized answer would have been near intelligible to a normal pony due to the way their masks turned their words into near incomprehensible buzzing, but to Queen Amber and her hive it was clear as day and thanks to their antenna it reached their ears that way as well.
“Very good. But we still have one more thing to test out.” Her feelers lit up one more time as she concentrated on sending the order, making sure to leave no room for misunderstandings. One by one the drones’ feelers lit up and their bodies started to melt. But instead of melting away, they seemed to produce more and more wax, a thick layer of yellow amber covering them completely before tightening more and more, until the yellow color began to change and shift. Within moments, six regular ponies stood in front of her, no trace left of their masks and suits or even the eggs and jelly stored inside them. The only visible difference were the deep amber pupils that stared blankly ahead, focused on her, but after a few more seconds even those shifted to their natural colors as the buzzing in their ears filled their minds with new orders from their queen.

“Well shucks, Miss Honeybee, ya didn’t have to load it up like that. Ah ain’t even signed anythin’ yet.”
Honeyjack gave ~~Queen Amber~~ Miss Honeybee a guileless, slightly embarrassed smile, settling further into her role with each word.
“Nonsense, dear, just think of it as a gesture of good faith. I’m sure you’ll have your family’s agreement to our little contract in no time.”
“Well, if ya insist…” Honeyjack turned around and hitched herself to the cart piled high with jars of honey. Looking around, she saw Pinkbee Pie already hitched to a similar cart for Sugarcube Corner, and slowly getting into the groove of her own role as she talked faster and faster at Bumbleshy, while Rainbuzz Dash pretended to complain as she was hooked to a cart filled with slabs of high-quality beeswax by ‘Poilight and Raribee. Her ~~fellow drones~~ friends were all in their disguises and acting more and more naturally by the minute, and would probably be perfectly innocuous before they even reached the edge of the flower fields.
“I do insist. Share the honey with your friends and family and sell it to everypony else in that town of yours and I’ll be more than happy.” Their ~~Queen’s~~ new business partner’s smile turned sharp for a second before it was bright and cheerful again. “Oh, and before I forget!” She pulled out a stack of envelopes and divided them up between the six. “Here, have some more invitations for my factory. I’m sure you’ll find some ponies who will appreciate them.”
Honeyjack took her share of the envelopes with a smile, making a low buzz in the back of her throat to signal that she’d understood the hidden order to hand them to any ponies who they deemed suitably ~~addicted to their hive’s honey~~ enamored with Amber Drop Honey products . And of course, it was an addition to their original unspoken mission, to spread Amber Drop Honey to as many ponies as possible.
She smiled as she pulled the cart through the main gates, indulging in inane chatter with her fellow drones to solidify their roles while her mind droned with a constant low buzz. It would take time, but they were not recklessly impatient like that fool Chrysalis. They had as much time as they had honey, and that was quite a lot. And whether it would take weeks, or months, or even years…
In the end, their hive would bee victorious.

There were considerably fewer bee puns in this than I expected, to be honest.

“Yeah, as like, a neat thing to daydream about or maybe talk about in private, not… you know.” Rainbow put on the socks without complaint, blushing as she knelt down on the rubber paws and pulled the socks up, her lower legs pressing against the back of her thighs and disappearing as she pulled the latex over them. She blushed a bit deeper as she put her hands on her shoulders and let Twilight help her into the other pair of socks, the second set of squishy blue rubber paws covering her elbows as her arms were covered in tight latex and secured in the otherwise useless position much like her legs.
“Have I told you how cute you look in those?” Twilight smiled and ruffled her hair.
“Only every time I put them on.” Rainbow rolled her eyes, but didn’t blush any less.
“Good. And you’ll look even cuter with this.” Twilight’s smile sharpened slightly as she pulled a rubber muzzle from behind her back.
“Uh-uhm, are you sure that’s necessary this time? I mean, the paws are one thing but if ponies see me with- hey!” Rainbow squeaked as the muzzle shot towards her face, the rubber ring gag forcing itself into her mouth before she could fully close it and forcing her to leave her tongue hanging out to be comfortable. “Ahn nah eeehie eshehwy?”
“Now now, Rainbow. Those don’t sound like dog words.” Twilight giggled, giving her friend a playful flick against her ear.
Rainbow whined, her ears pulling back as she blushed deep red. “......arf. Arf waff ‘ark.”
“That’s better. Such a good puppy.” Twilight rewarded her with some pets and scritches before floating over a small bag, pulling out a fancy purple and gold collar with a polished bone-shaped tag dangling from it that had “Dashie” written on it in rainbow letters.
Rainbow blushed and whined again, but couldn’t quite hide a pleased smile even through the mask, slowly raising her head to present her neck to Twilight, her tail swishing slightly as the collar clicked shut.
“There we go. Almost done, only the special surprise left.” Twilight walked over to one of the shelves and magically floated a box from the back of the highest shelf.
Rainbow watched curiously as her friend spent several moments unlocking the box both magically and physically only to pull out… a pair of stickers? She turned her head to keep watching Twilight walk over to her back and press one of the stickers right over her cutie mark before casting a spell that made her flank tingle. When Twilight let go the sticker was sitting flush and practically indistinguishable from the cutie mark it was covering, now showing a picture of Rainbow’s collar complete with the name tag. Another tingling told her that Twilight had done the same thing on her other side.
“Rrrf arr waf?”
“Don’t worry, they’re completely harmless and should come right off with the right spell. Even if something does go wrong, the enchantment would wear off on its own within a few hours and the sticking spell should run out of power not that long after, so by tomorrow they’d just be falling off on her own.” Twilight hummed, inspecting Rainbow’s butt closely and giving it a few pokes before seemingly being satisfied. She moved in front of Rainbow again, floating over a familiar leash and clipping it to her collar. “Now, how about we give them a proper test run?”
Rainbow whined and blushed, dragging her hooves - or rather her paws - on the way to the door before steeling her resolve. She was Rainbow Dash, not afraid of anything, and more importantly she trusted Twilight. If not with everything, then at least with anything relating to magic and with Rainbow’s… secret hobby.
Slowly shuffling out of the library with its closed curtains, Rainbow squinted and blinked against the afternoon sun, almost falling on her face as she tried and failed to bring a hand up to her eyes. A tug on her leash made her start moving again and by the time her vision had adjusted they were already out on the street and heading deeper into town. Rainbow slowly turned her head left and right, blushing when ponies looked at her in passing and squirming when they simply kept walking without comment, seemingly ignoring her.
The growing noise from up ahead made her pay attention to her general surroundings again and her ears pinned back as she realized that Twilight had walked her all the way to the market, and was leading her to a very specific stall. She whined and tried to dig her paws in to make Twilight change course, but it was already too late. Her pupils dilated in mortified embarrassment as she watched Applejack step out of her family’s stall and walk right towards them.
“Hey there, Twilight! Anythin’ Ah can do for you?” Applejack stopped just a step or two in front of the unicorn, giving her a guileless smile.
“Thank you, Applejack, but I’m just out for a quick walk before heading to Pinkie’s for the party.” Twilight smiled right back as if butter wouldn’t melt in her mouth, completely ignoring Rainbow’s predicament like the jerky mean jerkface she secretly was under that hapless dorky nerd act.
Applejack on the other hand, had noticed Rainbow’s sounds of distress and turned her head to look right at her. “Awww, and hello to you too, Dashie. Ain’t been meanin’ to ignore ya, girl. Have y’all been a good gal for Twilight?” She stepped forward and leaned down, grabbing Rainbow’s face with both hands to squish and rub her cheeks before ruffling her hair and scratching her behind the ears.
Rainbow froze, completely bluescreening and nearly cumming right there on the spot from her friend’s actions. Her tail started wagging and she let out a few instinctual yips, tongue hanging out and panting softly as she leaned into Applejack’s hands with a shudder.
“Golly, she sure is eager for pets today. Y’all ain’t been neglectin’ her over one of yer books again, have ya Twi?” Applejack looked up at Twilight, still ruffling and petting Rainbow’s mane.
“Gosh, I hope not, but you know me.” Twilight giggled. “Still, I think she’s just excited for the party. You know how she is, always full of energy.”
“Can’t argue with that.” Applejack chuckled. “Well then, Ah’ll see you there then. Gonna head out in a couple minutes mahself, was just about to hand over the stall to Big Mac when Ah saw you.”
“Oh yes, I should be on my way as well. I was hoping to do a little detour by the park with her before we head to Pinkie’s. I’ll meet you there, then.” Twilight tugged lightly on the leash. “Come along now, Dashie, you’ll see her again soon.”
Dashie shivered, still in a bit of a haze as she clumsily moved past Applejack and followed Twilight. As they kept walking though, she slowly calmed down, getting more and more confident as they passed dozens of ponies without a single comment that wasn’t just remarking on how cute or well behaved she was.
By the time they reached the park, Dashie was going so far as to run ahead of Twilight for short stretches, sitting down and wagging her tail as she waited for her and drawing chuckles from the surrounding ponies. She even posed for some of them, accepting pets and compliments, although thankfully Twilight saved her from one pony’s well-meaning offer of dog treats by citing Pinkie’s upcoming party.
They’d been out for close to an hour by the time they reached Sugarcube Corner, and from the sounds coming out the door, the rest of their friends had already arrived. Dashie happily pulled Twilight along, waiting impatiently for Twilight to open the door for her before pouncing into the bakery and almost tackling Pinkie Pie in her excitement. She happily nuzzled her head into Applejack’s shoulder, accepted pets from Pinkie Pie and showed off her collar to Rarity while Fluttershy cooed over her.
Twilight let the scene play out for a while before clearing her throat and giving the leash a light tug. “Pinkie? Do you mind if we use your room for a few minutes? I wanted to give Dashie here a quick brush-over before the party so the Cakes don’t have to worry about her shedding inside the store. I have all her grooming stuff with me.” She lifted up the bag she’d been carrying around on their walk.
“Oh! Sure thing, Twilight! Don’t worry about my room, a bit of Dashie fur is nothing compared to the hairs I lose in there.” Pinkie giggled, waving her off as Twilight led Dashie over to the stairs and took her up to Pinkie’s room.
Rainbow blinked as Twilight unhooked the muzzle and started opening up the socks over her arms and legs as well. “ ‘umfin homg?” She yawned and worked her jaw for a moment before stretching out her arms and legs. “Not that I mind the opportunity to stretch myself out, either way.”
“Well, it’s probably a good idea to let you stretch either way. You haven’t been in those things for this long since the time I accidentally fell asleep on you.” Twilight giggled. “And back then you weren’t moving around much.”
“Oof, yeah. I probably could’ve kept going, but better safe than sorry.” Rainbow stretched her arms high over her head, shifting back and forth to stretch her legs before giving Twilight a suspicious look. “But that’s not all, is it? You’ve got that smile on your face again.”
“Weeeeeell… I might have packed a thing or two for the party…” Twilight grinned and opened up the bag, pulling out a very familiar large bundle and a small enchanted air pump.
Rainbow squeaked, face turning bright red in an instant. “Y-you can’t be serious! There’s absolutely no way…”
“I maaaaay have made a few small adjustments. So, what do you say? Do you want to give it a test?” Twilight waved the bundle before her smile softened slightly. “I wouldn’t blame you if you decide to just wear the muzzle and paws for the rest of the evening, you know? Or just go out as yourself, even. I did pack some clothes for an emergency.”
Rainbow swallowed, slowly staring between Twilight’s face and the bundle of shiny fabric she was holding.

“There you are, Twilight. We were starting to get worried that you triggered some sort of trap in Pinkie’s room.” Rarity giggled softly at her own joke.
“Oh, I’m sorry. It’s just that I kind of brought another friend along and needed to get her ready for the party.” Twilight grinned and turned her head to look up the stairs, horn glowing as she started floating said friend down the stairs.
“O-oh my…”
“Well gosh darn, ya brought Rainbow Dash along? Ah didn’t know it was that kind of party!”
“Neither did I, darling.” Rarity leaned forward and licked her lips. “Although that’s not to say that I won’t take her back up to Pinkie’s room myself for a bit later. And here we were wondering why you took so long upstairs, Twilight you scamp~”
Twilight choked and sputtered at the insinuation, blushing as her friends all giggled at her. Instead she focused on bringing Rainbow the rest of the way down the stairs, giving her another good look as she floated past.
Rainbow Dash was clad head to toe in shiny blue, semi-transparent rubber. While her body and head were covered skintight, the rainbow latex of her mane and tail were inflatable to give them a nice cartoony shape while keeping her actual mane and tail some breathing room that would keep them from getting too tangled and sweaty. Similarly, her arms and legs were inflated an inch or two off her skin, put under enough air pressure to keep them straight and stiff and ending in a quartet of big inflatable rubber hooves. Most importantly though was the pair of cutie marks printed onto the flanks of her skintight latex suit right over her actual cutie marks, showing a rounded pony silhouette in a rather recognisable pose with the only details being its two most recognizable features, one on the face and one between its legs.
She carefully set Rainbow down on her hind hooves and giggled as her friend flailed for balance for a moment before taking a few wobbling steps forward. That was as far as Rainbow got before Pinkie Pie appeared in front of her and pulled her into a big hug. Twilight winked and gave Rainbow a light teasing pat on the cheek before stepping away to join the rest of their friends, blushing and giggling as behind her Rainbow bucked her hips with a loud moan and came for the first but certainly not last time of the day.

“This is Canterlot Tower, where the Elements are kept inside since all of you recovered them. Twilight nodded gravely, magically holding Pinkie’s mouth shut behind her. “You can trust in us, Princess. We'd be honored to use the Elements of Harmony again.”
Princess Celestia returned the nod with the same gravitas and turned around to face the huge, locked door of the vault, slowly and carefully lowering her head so she could slide her horn into the lock and cast the spell to open it. Large gears could be heard turning with a slow clunk , and the door opened to reveal a single gem-studded jewelry box sitting on a pedestal.
“Ooh. You can keep the Elements. I'll take that case!” Rarity stepped forward, eyes sparkling as she stared at the masterwork.
Celestia chuckled. “If you can defeat Discord and seal him away once more, I would be perfectly happy to part with this piece and more. But first I will need you to focus on the task at hand. I have total confidence that you will be able to defeat Discord with these!” She opened the box, revealing a crown and five necklaces all shimmering in the light, the cut gems set inside them nearly glowing with magic.
Twilight carefully and reverently lifted them out of the box with her magic, distributing the necklaces between her friends and setting the crown onto her own head. “We won’t let you down, Princess. With the six of us working together, Discord won’t know what hit him.”
“I am heartened to hear you so confident, Twilight.” Celestia smiled before turning serious again. “Now all that is left is to find Discord. Keep your eyes and ears open, even with the Elements of Harmony on your side, Discord is a dangerous foe that shouldn’t be underestimated. He could be anywhere and anything, although he rarely stays hidden for long. But even so, tracking him down through all the chaos he has been spreading will be-”
“Oh, are we looking for someone? Can I join in~?”
The ponies all gasped and jumped in surprise, looking around for the source of the voice.
Celestia glared, horn alit with magic. “Discord! Show yourself!”
“Show myself? But I’m right here~!” Discord chuckled, waving from inside one of the stained glass windows. He pushed his hands out of the window and placed them against the glass, pulling himself out and gaining more color and dimension as he did so. Within a few seconds he was popping out completely, floating down to land in front of the mares. He squinted at the group, pulling out a jeweler’s loupe to inspect them. “Well now, what’s this? Did you trade in your sister for a new model?”
Celestia growled at him. “Joke all you want, Discord, but this time we’re prepared for you.”
“Prepared?” Discord’s eye popped out of the loupe for a closer look. “Oh my, are those the magic trinkets you tricked me with last time? I was only joking about the sister thing, you know. You can’t just slap these kinds of things on any random pony and hope for the best.” He chuckled, tossing the loupe away and floating upside down.
“We’re not just random ponies!” Rainbow glared at him before turning to Twilight. “Come on, Twi! We’re not going to get a better shot than this!”
“R-right! Alright, all together now…” Twilight nodded, glaring at Discord as she focused on her friends, the magic in her crown building and spreading to link to her friends’ necklaces as they all started to slowly lift into the air.
“Well, I’ll admit they know how to put on a lightshow.” Discord pulled out a pair of gaudy sunglasses and put them on, watching as the glow turned brighter and brighter… and then dropped out, the six mares dropping back to the floor with glowing eyes and blank expressions.
“Twilight? Twilight! What happened?!” Celestia gasped, looking between her student and the draconequus in shocked confusion. “Discord! What did you do?!”
“Who, moi~?” Discord put a hand to his chest. “Why, I simply swapped out those gaudy little trinkets for something a little more fun. Don’t you think it’s more fun, Twilight?” He snapped his fingers.
Twilight blinked, eyes still glowing as she nodded slowly and droned in an emotionless voice. “Yes, Discord. I’m having lots of fun.”
“There, see? She’s having a blast~!” He grinned, spreading his arms.
“If you think that I’m letting you get away with this, you’re even madder than I thought!” Celestia glared at him, her horn glowing with magic. “Even without the Elements, I’m not standing by while you hurt my student!” Her horn glowed and sparked as she charged her spell before letting loose… only to yelp as the back of her panties was yanked up by her own magic, lifting her into the air squirming and flailing as it stretched them all the way up to pull them over her head.
“Whoopsie-doodle. Are you sure that was the spell you were trying to use~?”
“No!” Celestia yelped as the magic winked out and dropped her to the floor, the panties still stretched over her head and stuck to her horn. She tried to pull them off, only for her magic to form a large paddle behind her and smack her on the flanks. “Ow! What’s going oooon?!”
“How do you think I got access to the Elements in the first place?” Discord purred, sipping a champagne flute filled with carbonated pilk. “I switched out your crown before anything else, and you didn’t even think to check it for spells before you put it on. You’ve been under my complete control all day, just like your little friends are now.”
“You won’t… get away with… thiiiiis~!” Celestia moaned, bucking her hips as the paddle smacked her flanks over and over, a throbbing tent slowly growing under her dress.
