You don’t know how much longer you can keep going. You don’t know why you try to keep going. What was there to even live for anymore? What was the point of living another day if succumbing to the light was inevitable?

Fear grips you as you imagine yourself turning into one of them. Your body forcefully changing until you were nothing but a mass of contorted hair and flesh that endlessly praised the sun's beauty.

You wipe the tears that build up in your eyes and curl up in the corner of your dark closet. Maybe you can try to get some sleep before one of them comes back.
