How Rarity was able to come up with a new mane style and outfit in the blink of an eye when her mane went bad. Well, actually, she already had a concept for such an outfit before Twilight became an Alicorn. And this is the story of how it came to be.
Remember when Rarity's mane went bad in the episode It's Not the Mane Thing About You? And how did her new punk style end up on the cover of a fashion magazine a few months later? Well, no matter how talented Rarity was, it's obvious that she couldn't have come up with something so successful in the blink of an eye.
No, no, she actually had a similar concept a long time ago, even before Twilight became an Alicorn. It was just kept on paper for a very long time because of some embarrassing factors.
And this story is about how that outfit concept came about, and how the boredom of Rainbow Dash and another Twilight invention were involved.
