Apple bloom was anxious when canterlot fell as she thought sweetie belle had died. But thankfully sweetie belle was alive at the hospital but she could no longer do anything as she was immobile and had no magic. Which from what apple bloom found out, was a horrible fate for a unicorn, even her vocal cords were damaged beyond repair, but apple bloom wasn't sitting around after she learned that, so when sweetie belle was discharged apple bloom had a plan.
Apple bloom worked tirelessly in her workshop, working on a way to talk without vocal cords. Thats when she remembered the speakers she made, and with that idea in mind she got to work.
It was nearly morning when apple bloom got done with her first prototype voice box, and all she needed to do was to test it.
It was a box that was designed to go into the throat to act as vocal cords but through technology instead of biology.
So when it turned to be a succes she cheered, sure it sounded robotic but it still works. Next however was the body, and she needed sweetie for this.
Getting sweetie belle was going to be a bit difficult, but she had done this before, so she got sweetie belle and returned to her base of operation, which was the shed, as nopony knew she was back, and she preferred that as she knew if the others knew what she did, she would be ostracized, so she made sure nopony saw her until she was ready to be seen, and when that time comes, she would be ready.

Young injured pony missing from hospital.
A young pony by the name of sweetie belle had gone missing from ponyvile hospital days prior, however officials say since canterlot fell, rebuilding was more important than missing ponies.
Apple bloom was almost finished with remaking sweetie belle, all that was left was the interface so she could actually move. Unfortunately apple bloom couldn't create synthetic magic just yet, so sweetie still couldn't use it but there was enough horn left that in enough time, she could rebuild it.
But there was one problem left, ponies where searching for her, so seeing a mechanical sweetie belle they would assume she would do have done it, so she left a fake dead body of herself convincing enough to fool everypony that she was dead, but she also didn't want to leave everpony, so she created an identity.
Rarity was freaked out and sad that her sweetie belle was gone without a trace. 'Could changelings have taken her to do something unspeakable, or could she have been taken by a different entity, one that would do something to make her into a slave, or what if-' rarity was thrown from her thoughts when she entered her room to find an unconscious sweetie belle with her legs made of metal, and sleeping peacefully.
Rarity couldn't believe her eyes as apple bloom was found dead in the canterlot ruins. A million questions ran through her head, 'who or what did it?' Or 'why do this?' But thats when she saw a note on sweetie belles body.
'I fixed her up for you as a show of peace and cooperation.' Signed, singularus.

The missing patient has returned with a new mistery.
Late yesterday, the crippled filly named sweetie belle was returned to the custody of one rarity as a mysterious being named 'singularus' has returned sweetie belle heavily changed as she has robotic limbs and can speak again but in a distorted voice like in those robot movies some ponies like. Officials say that this singularus would make a better ally than enemy. In other news, new building have started to rapidly spread as ponyvile is now the capital of equestria as walls are being constructed around the everfre forest.
Sweetie belle was not doing ok. She was aperently kidnapped by something and had been given these weird new limbs. When she first came to in the hospital she had hope she could help out in the construction of the new houses. But when she found out she could no longer move or use magic she lost all hope of ever moving on her own power ever again, especially when she heard apple bloom died.
But when this new player in this game of sorts rebuilt her with metal and electricity, she had hope again. And with this singularus giving materials and machines to build more houses, ponies started to bounce back from having no capital, to having the world's most defended city in mere days, this singularus seemed like a strong ally, especially when they gave the royal gaurd some weaponry that is very powerful but extremely dangerous.
Even though this singularus is an ally, sweetie couldn't help but fell suspicious about this being as nopony has any information about this individual.
Apple bloom was satisfied when she read the news and saw she was successful in rebuilding sweetie. But she also needed a new permanent location to set up, one that is nearby the new city, but also far enough away that she couldn't be easily found.
Apple bloom was thankful she replaced her eye and leg with machines back at canterlot, as traversing the everfree was dangerous and with her cybernetic eye, she could see a lot more that woth her other eye, so she evaded dangers easily. But when apple bloom found a clearing, she knew she found her place of operations.

"Ponyvile city is currently going through a technological boom thanks to singularus's inventions like the television, or the heater, ponies have never felt so comfortable in there homes since forever."

Twilight was loosing her mind. This singularus pony was creating so much technology, that magic is starting to phase out. And twilight's whole thing was magic, so if magic gets phased out, what will she do? However in twilights spiral, she remembered an old book. So she got up and trotted to the bookshelf and took the book.
'Any sufficiently advanced technology would be indistinguishable from magic'.
