Rainbow DashView OnlineThe Endless Shades of the abyssRainbow DashRainbow Dash's hoofs clop across the grass as she approaches a cave, normally she wouldn't be going near any caves on her own, but this time was a bit different, she had heard rumors that something, or somepony was hiding in the cave and hurting anypony that had entered. She walked inside the cave, it was quiet, not even the faintest sound could be heard. She slowly takes another step, being careful, She stood still, it was too quiet, why was it so quiet? Every last bone in her body was telling her to run, to get out of here now. But she continued to walk, continuing into the dark cave, but after about a few minutes of walking it was just dark, she could only see herself, and oddly the ground was smooth, just smoother than a cave floor normally is. She wasn't liking this one bit, there's no way that the ground could be this smooth, especially with all the bumps she had felt walking into the cave. She wanted to turn around and leave, but something in the back of her mind made her push forward, continue deeper into the cave, She kept walking, but it felt like she hadn't made any progress, it almost felt like she was going in circles. But that didn't make any sense, the cave was a straight shot. She stopped walking, there was no reason that the cave could have this much depth to it, it was time to turn back, this whole thing was most likely just a waste of time. Rainbow Dash turned around, trotting back towards the cave's entrance. But after walking for a bit she realizes she was nowhere near the entrance. How was that possible? She had walked in a straight line, panic started to set in, there's no way she was lost. She picks up her walking pace, trotting faster and faster as her eyes dart around, looking for any sort of exit, but still seeing nothing but darkness. Laughter echoes everywhere around her, She was really freaking out now, what was that laughing? Was it the mystery pony? Where was it coming from? But soon her answer was answered as something began to manifest out of the void, it was pure black like the void around it. Her head snaps towards the creature, it was the mysterious someone from the rumors, the one injuring anypony that was in the cave. She had no idea what to do now, this was worse than she expected. Its voice echoed thought the void and back again, "A new soul enters my cave, a potential plaything for my game, it's always the same, ponies every day, running away, before I can play... But now, one has come deep enough, so let's play a game." Fear was pumped through Dashes body, even her wings were spread, ready to fly away if things got bad "W-What game?" "Ohhh, it’s just a simple one, one mortals consider no fun, one where they see, every bad thing, a game where If they lose, there soul turns to ooze, and I seal it away, and gain a body I've tamed." "A-Are you... are you gonna hurt me?" Rainbow Dash said, was trying to stay calm, and in control, but it was difficult, the creature had all the power, not her. "Physically no, but mentally so, I'll show you things that you never know... and never knew you wanted to avoid." "W-what do you mean?" She was starting to shiver, mentally hurting her sounded worse than if she was just hurt physically The thing laughs as what sounds like an Orchestra, plays thought the void. Rainbow took a few steps back, the laughter and music surrounding the beast was almost hypnotizing, but not in a good way, it was creepy. The void being starts to sing. "I am a Deamon, one that will make you brake, Realities, I have seen them, all of them running free, There was a world that you never known, one where you were never born at all." "... W-What? T-there was a world without me? That..." She was starting to lose it, was this creature telling the truth? There was a world that she didn't exist in? "I've seen a world of just romance" The void manifests a lot of figures of her with ponies "I've seen the sacrifice of mares" The void manifests a lot of figures of her friends sacrificing themselves "I've seen portrayals of betrayal" The void manifests a lot of figures of her being killed by her friends "And a ''sister's'' final stand" The void manifests a lot of figures of her sacrificing herself to protecting Scootaloo "I've seen you on the brink of death" The void manifests a lot of figures of her barely alive "I've seen you take a fillies breath" The void manifests into a room, with Somepony pushing Scootaloo into a machine "I've seen, a mare who gets to make it home alive, But this time it's not you" Rainbow’s eyes widened as she saw all the things that the creature was showing her, the various worlds, she never even could have imagined were ever a possibility, the world without her, or the one of her friends betraying her, all of these were horrifying to her, but the one it ended with made her freeze "W-What did you just show me? What was that last one? It wasn't real... was it?" "I've seen Your Hoofs, covered in red" The void goes up to her hoofs, turning them red "Faces of those who thanks to you are now dead" The Deamon disappears as the factory setting returns, a manifestation of Scootaloo being scared "I've seen a Filly scared of a mare who is haunting, a mare with a trail of bodies" A dark figure approaches Scootaloo slowly tears filled Rainbow’s eyes as the sight of a scared Scootaloo appeared, the thought of hurting the filly terrified her, she could never do something like that "No! Get away from her!" She shouted towards the beast, before running forward to get between Scootaloo and the mysterious figure of her, standing between the two, She stared at the demonic version of herself, how could it look exactly like her? Every last detail was the same, but there was a malevolence to this version. The demon stands on its hind ''hoofs'', the appearance of rainbow dash starting to shift "I've seen a world of just romance" They shift into a mix of all the ponies she has had feelings for in the past. "I've seen the sacrifice of mares" They shift into Rainbow Dash holding a shield "I've seen portrayals of betrayal" They shift into a version of pinkie pie with a chainsaw "And a ''sister's'' final stand" They Shift into Scootaloo "I've seen you on the brink of death" They change to a blood-stained Rainbow Dash "I've seen you take your friends breath" "I've seen, a mare who gets to make it home alive... " they slowly melt into their normal form. "But this time it's not you" Rainbow stood there, shaking as she was confronted with an endless sea of nightmares. The versions of her friends hurting her, or even sacrificing themselves for her. She had tears rolling down her face, not wanting to look at any of it, but too scared to tear her gaze away "S-stop, stop t-this please... I-I can't take it anymore" The demon move behind her and their voice echoing around her, "Embrace the void and despair, let go, let me take control." The words hit a nerve within her, it was such a tempting idea, to let them take control and stop being tormented by these horrid sights "N-no... I can't... I won't!" Rainbow snapped back, shaking her head vehemently. "Well then. if you won't give me your body, there's always the next pony" they snap their fingers, the void rising around her like a lake during a heavy storm Rainbow dash tried struggling, but the void was too strong, it started to pull her body down, there was no getting out of this, her head went below the surface, she panicked, trying to free herself, but the strength of the void was too powerful, eventually, she was completely engulfed, and slowly her conciseness faded. The demon melted away, ready to start the same dance next time a pony entered.
RarityView OnlineThe Endless Shades of the abyssRarityRarity Stood outside of a cave, one that according to some ponies, Rainbow dash had entered and hadn’t come out of for 19 hours. She tried calling out into the cave, "Rainbow? Darling, are you in here?" Rarity soon walked into the cave, carefully watching her step as the floor of the cave was very uneven. It was rather quiet, and the only noise was Rarity's hooves across the cold cave floor. As she went deeper the cave got darker and more even, but she continued further into the cave, and her eyes slowly began to become adjusted to the darkness. She was becoming worried, and started calling out more frequently for her friend, but soon enough, it became so dark that she couldn't see the ground or the walls, oddly she could still see herself, but this wasn't her first time in dark caves. She continued on, slowly walking further into the cave, her hooves carefully tapping and sliding onto the floor of the cold, dark cave. Her breathing began to get louder and more labored, as she continued her search to find her friend. Even though the cave was dark, Rarity had the feeling that something was watching her... Suddenly, she got an unusual chill down her spine, and she felt a bit of fear. There was now a feeling of dread, and it seemed to be getting stronger as she continued her way into the dark, silent cave. Something wasn't right. It was quiet, too quiet. what sounded like an orchestra started to play, Rarity was startled by the out-of-place sound of from somewhere further in the cave, why would there be enough ponies to play an orchestra down here? She continued to slowly walk further in, a strong feeling of dread and anticipation. She couldn't tell exactly at first if the music was getting further away or closer. She paused to listen to try and figure out where the music was coming from but found it impossible. It was as if the music was all around her, then she saw something, a dark figure started to manifest out of the ground. She stared at the figure in fear as it started to manifest before her. The feeling of dread suddenly got worse as the ominous figure slowly formed in front of her. "Well, well, well, what have we here? A white unicorn, Oh I know this one So, you're the one everypony's talkin' about at one point or another?" Rarity's legs trembled; her heart was raced. How did this mysterious pony know about her? Who was this pony, and what did they want with her? "You're joking, you're joking, I can't believe my eyes, You're joking me, you gotta be, This can't be the right Mare, She's ancient, she's ugly, I don't know which is worse, I might just fall apart now, If I don't melt laughing first" Rarity was speechless, shocked at what the mysterious pony was saying to her. She was used to being called beautiful, cute, and even amazing, but "ancient" and "ugly" were not words that Rarity was used to hearing about herself. "When The demon in the void says, There's trouble close at hand, You'd better pay attention, now, 'Cause I'm the Void Demon And if you aren't shaking, There's something very wrong, 'Cause this is the first but may be the last time you hear my little song, oh (wow), Oh (wow), Oh (oh, he's the Void demon)" Rarity shook, she couldn't believe what she was seeing and hearing. A demon, a very ugly, terrifying-looking demon, was here in the cave with her. This was a nightmare. "Well, if I'm feelin' hungry, And I've nothin' much to do, I might just cook a special batch, Of Sweets and Candy stew" They create a bowl of candy soup out of the void "And don't ya know the one thing, That would make it even more neat?, A Small, tasty Sweetie belle to make it ten times sweet! (oh)” They add a replica of Sweetie belle made from void into the bowl "Oh (oh), Oh (oh), Oh yeah, I'm the Void demon (oh yeah, he's the Void demon)" Rarity gasped in horror, "Y-You monster... y-you can't hurt Sweetie Belle! I-I won't let you near her! I-I won't let you hurt one hair on her head!" they laugh it off, completely mocking Rarity "You're joking, you're joking, I can't believe my ears Would someone shut this pony up? If I had them, I would be drowning in my tears, It's funny, I'm laughing, You really are too much" They lean over Rarity with a sinister smile. "And now, with your permission, I'm going to do my stuff" Rarity backed away, trying to put a bit of distance between herself and the Void Demon. She was shaking, she was absolutely terrified for her and for her little sister’s safety. "W-what are you going to do to me?" "I'm going to break your mind" they turn around and don't speak, simply raising their claws ever so slightly They raise one claw, the void makes a pillar "Oh!" -they make another pillar,- "Ya" -they raise both claws, the floor underneath them rises- "OHHHHHHH" "Oh, the sound of beings screaming souls, To me is music in the air, 'Cause I'm a Nightmarish Void Deamon, that kills those who don't play fair, it's much more fun, I must confess, when lives are on the line, not mine, of course, But yours, oh mare, now that'd be just fine" "S-stay away from me! Leave me alone!" Rarity cried with her voice full of fear. "Oh sister, you're something, you put me in a spin" The demon grabs Rarity and spins her around. "You aren't comprehending, the position that you're in, It's hopeless, you're finished, Your body will be mine to spear, 'Cause I'm the demon in the void, And you ain't going nowhere" Rarity's fear into rage. She was not going to let her body be taken by this monster without a fight. "N-no! I won't let you do this! I-I'll fight you! I'll do whatever it takes to stop you!" "Well if you won’t let me take your body." They shove Rarity off, "I still have 4 other choices." Rarity screamed as she fell into the inky black void. It was like liquid, cold and dark. It engulfed her completely, as she desperately tried to swim to the surface, but she only sank, and sank, and sank, and sank, and sank, and sank, and sank, and sank, she frantically clawed at the liquid void, desperately searching for something, anything, to grab onto to pull herself to safety. But it was to no avail, and as she sinks in the void, Rarity saw an unconscious Rainbow dash, her heart skipped a beat as she saw Rainbow Dash, floating unconscious in the void. So that's why she hadn't been able to find her. "Rainbow... Dash..." She attempted to call out, but her voice was lost in the void. She continued to struggle, trying to swim towards her friend. Rarity fought to stay conscious, but her body was weakening. The struggle was fruitless, and she sank further and further into the void. Exhaustion was taking over, and she could feel her consciousness fading away. Her last thoughts before losing consciousness entirely were of her friends, of her beloved fashion, and of her little sister, everything faded to black, as Rarity's mind surrendered to the darkness…
FluttershyView OnlineThe Endless Shades of the abyssFluttershyFluttershy stood Infront of a cave, both Rainbow Dash had gone missing earlier this week, followed by Rarity going missing the next day, she was worried about them, her and her friends, but today Fluttershy was going in the cave alone. Slowly peeking her head inside the cave, it was dark and dreary, she took a deep breath and carefully moved inside, she had come prepared with a lantern and carefully she made her way further. But soon enough, it became so dark not even the lantern lit it up and relied on her sense of touch and hearing alone now as she walked ahead, it was really tense now… Soon enough however, her hoof touched something... it was grass? Fluttershy was surprised, she was still in a dark cave and yet she was standing on grass now? It was confusing yet here it was, real grass under her hoof, she carefully knelt down and touched it, but when she stood up... she was not in the cave anymore, she was on a hill side in the middle of night with a singular tree and an orchestra playing. She was very confused and worried now, what had just happened? How had she gone from being in a dark cave to being in the middle of a hillside in the middle of the night? The weirdest part was the music though, where was it coming from? Suddenly she saw a tall black mass holding a Register book standing over a grave, it turned to Fluttershy, she was very nervous now as the mysterious mass in black turned to her, who was it? Was it a spirit? What did it want with fluttershy? "Here lies," -They move out of the way of the grave- "Fluttershy, You can tell it's her 'cause we put her name and cutie mark on the stone" Fluttershy was shocked to see her own gravestone with her name and cutie mark on it, she slowly backed away, what was going on? "Most of the time she kept her baths ice-cold, late at night she used candles instead of lightbulbs, Flew ponies to the hospital, when things like their spine broke, she'd help animals with no pretense, give food to those who need it, Each morning, get up and feed her animals." They create a few shadow puppets "Swam in the ocean, to talk with the sharks, Bi-monthly from a draconequus, she would get a rose with a card attached, she tried to avoid all the little things that walked the ground, But now she's in a cave with a demon" Fluttershy stood there, listening to the strange voice talking about her, listing all the things she did for others and animals, it was like the voice knew everything about fluttershy, but the way it talked about her made her feel slightly uncomfortable The place morphed from the outside at night, to the Castle of friendship at day, three of her friends sitting around the missing posters of her, Rarity and Rainbow Dash "Some like later, all your friends, huddled there in prayer around the table they looked for you in the cave, seeing something insane, they don't leave the cave, never more, but I will leave, I will for sure." Fluttershy was distressed to see her friends praying and worrying over her and the others disappearance, but she was also worried by the way the voice had mentioned them staying in the cave, never leaving. "There I was deep in the cave, starting to play, soon enough they gave up and I took over their body, but I also have a question, Has your heart sank, are you breathless?" Fluttershy was worried now, it seemed like this person/spirit whatever it was, was responsible for not just her missing friends but for her own disappearance as well, it wasn’t just a case of them simply getting lost in the cave. “I.. yes, I’m worried and not sure what’s going on, Yes.. I’m worried about my friends, and I want to find out what happened to them but I’m worried about something else as well.. what have you done to me and the others. Did you take our bodies? Our souls? Where are they?" The demon mocked, "Why should I tell you, have you heard this tune before?" The place around them echoed “I.. yes, I’m worried and not sure what’s going on, Yes.. I’m worried about my friends, and I want to find out what happened to them but I’m worried about something else as well.. what have you done to me and the others. Did you take our bodies? Our souls? Where are they?" The echo of the demon mocked, "Why should I tell you, have you heard this tune before?" "Curiosity killed the cat they say but you'll be here to stay, I've seen practically everything, a lot of neat adventures, from Far beyond the halos and the castles in the clouds to large ponies squealing, shackled with some apples in their mouths I've seen Fillys hanging from metal cords, Ponies cut with a chainsaw, here, I've watched and seen a million kinds of Hell, Imagination is the limit in this Multiversal world. What's wrong are you scared, well sorry but no prayer Will save you from the Hell you entered, sorry buddy, smell you later, Those other two ponies, where right for the gate, They could have turned away, but they entered anyway, There I was a demon in the void, wanting a new toy, I trapped them in the void cuz they didn't let me have their body, they played my game and 'won' now that was fun, but what was that you said earlier again?" The void starts echoing Fluttershy's voice again “I.. yes, I’m worried and not sure what’s going on, Yes.. I’m worried about my friends, and I want to find out what happened to them but I’m worried about something else as well.. what have you done to me and the others. Did you take our bodies? Our souls? Where are they?" The echo of the demon mocked, "Why should I tell you, have you heard this tune before?" “I.. yes, I’m worried and not sure what’s going on, Yes.. I’m worried about my friends, and I want to find out what happened to them but I’m worried about something else as well.. what have you done to me and the others. Did you take our bodies? Our souls? Where are they?" The echo of the demon mocked, "Why should I tell you, have you heard this tune before?" Fluttershy started to run away, but no matter how far she ran, the same landscape and the black figure were always behind her. And as she looked around in a panic, the echoing got louder. "You can run from the void demon until you are exhausted, One day, you will have to stop and find out what they wanted, Keep on running from the demon 'til you are exhausted, You can run to that draconequus until you are exhausted, One day, you will have to stop and question what I wanted, Keep on running to that draconequus 'til you are exhausted" Fluttershy finally collapsed, tired and scared as she tried to catch her breath. The echoing of her own voice had become so loud it was ringing in her ears and she couldn’t get away from it no matter how far she ran. “I.. yes, I’m worried and not sure what’s going on (give me), Yes.. I’m worried about my friends (your body), and I want to find out what happened to them but I’m worried about something else as well.. (or) what have you done to me and the others. Did you take our bodies? Our souls? Where are they? (en-ter)" The echo of the demon mocked, "Why should I tell you, have you heard this tune before? (The void)" “I.. yes, I’m worried and not sure what’s going on (give me), Yes.. I’m worried about my friends (your body), and I want to find out what happened to them but I’m worried about something else as well.. (or) what have you done to me and the others. Did you take our bodies? Our souls? Where are they? (en-ter)" The echo of the demon mocked, "Why should I tell you, have you heard this tune before? (The void)" Fluttershy clutched her ears, it was no use. The echoing was everywhere and only getting louder. “STOP IT!” she cried, “PLEASE JUST STOP TALKING!” The Demon yelled "GIVE, ME, YOUR, BODY!" Fluttershy stared for a moment, and yelled, “WHAT?! NO! NEVER! NOBODY IS TAKING MY BODY!” The demon stood tall, silent for some time, looking down at fluttershy, before extending their hand to their side "Very well, looks like you'll join the other two" and with a snap, the ground becomes a liquid void. “NO! WAIT, STOP!” she cried, clawing desperately at the ground around her as the dark liquid swallowed her body and she was dragged down beneath the surface. She sunk, very deep, into the endless void. She kept struggling, fighting against the liquid void as it kept pulling her deep down. It was cold and terrifying, she was going deeper and deeper into the endless black. As Fluttershy continued to sink deeper, she saw her friends, Rarity and Rainbow dash, up ahead, both of them floating unconscious. She tried to reach out for them, tried to call out but there was no point, the liquid void was thick and all consuming, she was getting so tired, everything was going dark and cold now. No matter how hard Fluttershy tried to struggle, she was getting weaker and weaker. She could see her friends still ahead of her, but they were so far away and becoming fuzzy to her tired eyes. And, one by one, as she got tired and exhausted, Fluttershy’s eyes closed and she fell into unconsciousness, sinking deeper and deeper down into the endless void.
ApplejackView OnlineThe Endless Shades of the abyssApplejackApplejack stands just outside a cave, one that three of her friends had entered thought the week and never came out of. “Ah really don't know what Ah'm getting into, but ah promised mah friends ah'd save 'em from whatever's inside that cave.” She walks inside the cave, holding a lantern above her head to light the way. As she walks in, the cave echoes with a rumble. “Hello? Ah just came here lookin' for mah friends. Anypony in here?” Applejack stopped and, in a panic, looked around herself, “Oh dear, what was that? Nothin' could be in here... Right?” But still she went deeper and deeper until the cave slowly got darker, and darker, and darker, and darker, till all Applejack could see, was her and the lantern. She grips the lantern tightly, nervously looking at the dark. “This is the darkest cave ah've ever been in... And we have some pretty dark caves in Apple Acres.” But pretty soon she ended up at a door, one oddly like the one at Sweet Apple Acres. “Why in Equestria would there be a door all the way out here? And why does it look so much like mah barn door?” She opens the door… and exits her barn? “Ah-what in the world?” Applejack holds a hoof to her head. “How in the- What's all this?! How am ah back at Sweet Apple Acres?” But then she saw it, a tall dark figure looming over the trees, simply watching, smiling. “What in the- Who in the hay is there? Show yerself!” Suddenly, what sounded like country music on a radio started playing, confused, Applejack looks up to the sky, “Why in the world is there music playin'?! An' where'd it come from?” The black figure quickly approached, getting smaller till it was only looming over her. Applejack steps back, her fear growing more and more. “Who are you? What do you want?!” The thing starts to sing, sounding like its voice was coming from a radio "I've got a game I wanna show you, If I tell you my name, you'll have to play, too, I've been here in this cave for years, biding my time, waiting until somepony came!" -It quickly swooped under her, going right behind her- "Just a little game that's all I a-" “Get AWAY from me!” Applejack yells, rearing up on her hind legs and landing a hard kick on the things face, sending it down, it lands with a splash, the music stops as it starts sinking into the ground. Applejack stands panting at what just happened, her fear turning to anger. “What in the hay was that? And where in Equestria did it go?!” An Orchestra started as it slowly started to rise up with a growl. Applejack backs up, her body shakes and her eyes full of fear, “No, no, no, no, no... Get down! Go back into the ground!” The demon spoke, "YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE DONE THAT!" The sky darkens, until it was the equivalent of a cave with no light. "Did you really think that would hurt me? You dare to strike. In my home, I waited for more pray to arrive, I got a reputation, I've got an ego to uphold, So I have to take your body or make you rest in the void," -A part of the ground melts into a black icky puddle- "Now get in the void." Applejack stepped back, making space between her and the black puddle. “Ah ain't gettin' in any void! And you're not takin' my body either!” The demon continued in its cold, emotionless voice. "Get in the void, or when I have a body, I'll raise the void so slow, all of Equestria will suffer as they die, get in the void" The puddle grows “You ain't gettin' near me!” Applejack continues to back up, trying to avoid the ever-growing puddle. The demon got more irritated "Get in the void" -The puddle increased into the size of a pond of void- "I'll make sure your family wish they died; I'll torture them hoof from eye" “Don't you dare touch mah family!” Applejack yelled as she continued backing up, the black pond ever closing in on her. The demon was fully irritated at this point "GET IN THE VOID!" -The void expanded rapidly- "GET IN THE VOID! DONT MISTAKE MY THREATS FOR BLUFF, I WILL HAVE A BODY SOON ENOUGH! GET IN THE VOID!" -The pond grew more and more- "GET IN THE VOID!" -They created a black inky copy of Apple Bloom- "I'LL MAKE YOUR LITTLE SISTER GO INSANE, SHE WON'T BE ABLE TO BREATH AGAIN, THATS UNLESS YOU CHOSE TO DIVE, SO TAKE A BREATH AND SAY GOODBYE, GET IN THE VOID!" Applejack stops, the ground becomes moisten as a small amount of salted water leaks from her eyes, “No, no, no... Don't you dare! You LEAVE-HER-ALONE!!” The void stars to expand upwards, surrounding applejack, "IF YOU WON'T GIVE ME YOUR BODY, THEN REST IN PIECE!" Applejack stares up at the surrounding void in despair, “No... No... this can't be happenin'...” The void drags her down, deep into the void, very deep. “Oh... Oh... no... No...” she tries her best to rise to the surface, but the void just keeps pulling her down, deeper and deeper. Soon she stops sinking and sees the three unconcise bodies of three of her friends: Rainbow Dash, Rarity and Fluttershy, her eyes widen from seeing her friends' bodies, unconscious in the void. “Rainbow... Rarity... Fluttershy...” and slowly, Applejack's struggle against the void comes to a stop as she goes limp, sinking into the void next to her friends.
