Samual Hayden did not trust the Doom slayer to agree with his plan of using demon energy to rid earth of the demons. So he preemptively sent The Slayer far away, so that he wouldn’t interfere and destroy the artifact before he could use the evil power for good.

Now The Slayer is stranded in the far reaches of the universe. Determined to make it back to earth and end the demon apocalypse the only way he knows how. But the planet he has found himself stranded on has been overrun with demons, and now he must fight. He will not let another innocent world fall to the demons. Equestria will persevere, and he will rip and tear until it is done.
