The lounge looks good as new with all the Hearth's Warming decorations all cleaned up. The Young Six were proud of each other for being able to clean the mess up. "I'm proud of us for cleaning up the mess." said Sandbar. "Yeah, it was too tiring and annoying to get that purple slime out." said Smolder, slightly annoyed. "But hey! Now that we cleaned up the mess, we should all go tell Twilight!" said Silverstream with a smile. "Yeah! Twilight did say we would be invited to the holiday table if we cleaned up." said Ocellus. "Yona want food! Yona hungry." said Yona with a slightly loud tone. "What are we waiting for? Let's go!" exclaimed Gallus. Together, the Young Six all walked to Twilight's office. It took a while since the School of Friendship is a large building, but after about 5 minutes, they arrived at Twilight's office, only to see Spike and Rainbow Dash. "Hey Spike, Hey Rainbow Dash." said Sandbar. "Yona want Twilight, not Spike and Rainbow Dash!" shouted Yona. "Shush Yona." said Smolder. "Okay, calm down please!" reprimanded Rainbow Dash. "Now why are you guys here?" "To say that we finished cleaning up the mess in the lounge!" exclaimed Silverstream cheerfully. "Twilight isn’t here right now. She’s getting stuff for the holiday table." said Spike. "Don’t worry! At least you guys finished cleaning up early. That’s better than finishing late, right? said Rainbow Dash with a reassuring smile. "I guess you guys can go back to your dorms and wait until Twilight gets back." said Spike. "Okay, it was nice seeing you and Rainbow Dash." said Sandbar to Spike. The Young Six leave Twilight's office. //-------------------------------------------------------// Cleaning up the mess //-------------------------------------------------------// Cleaning up the mess Twilight Sparkle had promised the Young Six that they’d be invited to the holiday table with her friends, after they finish cleaning up the mess at the lounging area at the School of Friendship. It won’t be easy because of all the Hearth’s Warming decorations being put up, but the Young Six had agreed to clean up because they were just that excited to be at the holiday table with Twilight and her friends. The Young Six were provided with cleaning supplies so that they could clean up the mess. “Hey, you know this kind of reminds me of another story that happened to me on Hearth's Warming; like when I almost spilled juice on the couch." said Sandbar. "Does it have a depressed ending?" asked Smolder. "Maybe pony stories don't exactly work that way, Smolder." replied Ocellus. "Yona want to braid Gallus feathers." said Yona. "You can't braid feathers, y'know." said Gallus, slightly annoyed. "Hey! Let's sing a Hearth's Warming song while we clean up the mess!" exclaimed Silverstream happily. "Which song?" asked Smolder sounding a little confused. "I know. Let's sing 'Hearth's Warming Is Here Once Again"!" suggested Sandbar. "Ponies' voices fill the night. Hearth's Warming Eve is here once again!" sang Silverstream. "Happy hearts so full and bright. Hearth's Warming Eve is here once again!" sang Sandbar. "Oh, what a sight, Look at the light, All for tonight. Hearth's Warming Eve is here once again!" sang Silverstream. "Clouds arranged so they're just so... Hearth's Warming Eve is here once again." Sang Ocellus. "Gonna make some awesome snow! Hearth's Warming Eve is here once again!" sang Yona. "The chill wind blows. Making a show. Snowflakes aglow." sang Gallus. The Young Five turned to face Smolder, who was the only one who hasn't sang yet. "Hearth's Warming Eve is here once again." sang Smolder. "A day that's filled with songs to sing!" sang Sandbar. "Ding-dong, ding-dong-ding" sang the Young Six. "Cakes and pastries we shall bring. We're so busy making merry. Windigos should all be wary, as our mighty voices carry." sang Sandbar. "Decorations we shall make. Perfection you just cannot fake. Not one mistake. Don't let that break. Oh, goodness' sake!" sang Silverstream. "Happy, happy Hearth's Warming Eve! Hearth's Warming Eve is here once again!" sang the Young Six. The Young Six continued to sing more Hearth's Warming songs as they cleaned up the mess in the lounge. After about an hour's worth of cleaning up the mess, the Young Six had finally finished cleaning the lounge. "Finally!" cried Smolder. "Yona tired from cleaning mess..." groaned Yona. "Hey now, at least we finished the mess." said Sandbar in a comforting tone. "Yeah... even though it took forever." said Gallus, slightly annoyed. "The lounge look good as before." said Ocellus. "But that means that we get to go to the holiday table with Twilight and her friends! After all, Twilight said that if we cleaned up the mess in the lounge, that we'd be invited!" said Silverstream excitedly. "Oh yeah! That's right, so that means we get to be guests at the holiday table!" cried Smolder. "Yay! Yona need food!" cheered Yona. //-------------------------------------------------------// The Young Six find Lnx1y //-------------------------------------------------------// The Young Six find Lnx1y After the Young Six had their conversation with Spike and Rainbow Dash, they leave Twilight's office and are on their way to the dormitory area. Although they were disappointed that they couldn’t directly tell Twilight that they cleaned up the mess, they were understanding as to why. As the Young Six enter the dormitory area, they notice Lnx1y, an overlander student of the School of Friendship. She is seen adding some extra decorations to the dorm doors, though she’s having a bit of trouble. "Oh, shit! I forgot some of the gingerbread house ornaments!" exclaimed Lnx1y as she looked into the box of ornaments. "Guess I left them in my room." said Lnx1y as she ran back into her dorm room. The Young Six looked so confused, not by Lnx1y's profanity, they heard it before, but rather, the fact that she's decorating in the dormitory area. After all, Lnx1y hadn't said anything about decorating today. Also Lnx1y was supposed to be on the train back to the Overland, but she was still at the School of Friendship. "Uhh... Hey Lnx1y." said Ocellus as she sees Lnx1y returning out of her dorm. Lnx1y turns to face the Young Six, whilst holding a box of Hearth's Warming decorations. "Hey guys. I thought you'd be with your families by now." said Lnx1y. "Well.... we had to stay after." replied Silverstream. "Oh? Why is that?" said Lnx1y with a confused look on her face. "It's kind of a long story..." said Gallus, embarassed. "Tell me what happened when you guys are ready. I'm a bit busy with putting up the decorations in the dormitory area." replied Lnx1y as she putted up the lights. "Yona want to help!" exclaimed Yona as she grabbed a second box of Hearth's Warming decorations. The rest of the Young Six nod in agreement with Yona and they went to grab other boxes of Hearth's Warming decorations. "Aww, you guys are too nice." giggles Lnx1y. Lnx1y and the Young Six went on to decorate the dormitory area with lots of Hearth's Warming decorations. They sang with each other and laughed as they decorated. After about 20 minutes of decorating, the dormitory area is filled with Hearth's Warming cheer. "Look at that. The dormitory area is finally decorated with Hearth's Warming cheer thanks to us. Now it's decorated like the other parts of the School of Friendship!" said Lnx1y with joy. //-------------------------------------------------------// Twilight comes back //-------------------------------------------------------// Twilight comes back "Well I have to go to something else now. I'll see you guys later!" said Lnx1y as she goes back into her dorm room. The Young Six went back to the lounge area. They all patiently wait for Twilight, because they weren't able to talk to her earlier. After around 10 minutes worth of waiting, Twilight comes back, along with Spike and Rainbow Dash. "Twilight!" exclaimed Silverstream, "You’re back!" "You guys did a great job cleaning up the mess." said Twilight. "It's impressive how quickly you guys worked together to clean up the lounge." said Spike. "Well, we worked together to clean up the mess in the lounge." replied Sandbar. "Yeah! Yona clean up mess with friends." said Yona. The rest of the Young Six nodded their heads in agreement. "Is it time for us to go to the holiday dinner now?" asked Gallus. "I was just about to mention that. Yes, the holiday dinner is now ready and you all are invited." said Twilight. The Young Six started cheering in happiness. "What are we waiting for? Let's go!" said Rainbow Dash. Out went Twilight, Rainbow Dash, Spike and the Young Six to the holiday dinner table. //-------------------------------------------------------// The Holiday Dinner //-------------------------------------------------------// The Holiday Dinner The holiday dinner is starting now. The Mane Six, the Young Six and Spike are all sitting at the dinner table. The holiday dinner consists of traditional Hearth's Warming dinner foods, like pies, gingerbread cookies, mashed potatoes, steak, etc. Everyone is eating and enjoying the holiday dinner. While the Mane Six and Spike converse with each other, the Young Six are having their own conservation. "Yona like dinner! Food delicious!" exclaimed Yona. "This is how a Hearth's Warming dinner should be. Nice, delicious and cozy." said Sandbar. "Thank you, Twilight." said Ocellus. "You're welcome. After all, you guys deserved to be invited to the holiday dinner." replied Twilight. The Young Six continued to eat the dinner, but Lnx1y suddenly came into the holiday table. She seemed hungry. "Can I join the holiday table? I finished decorating the dormitory area." asked Lnx1y. "Of course you can join. Go ahead!" replied Rainbow Dash. Lnx1y joined the holiday table and she grabs a plate of food and starts eating. "Mmmm~ very delicious." said Lnx1y. "Yeah Lnx1y, the food here is very good!" replied Silverstream. "I'm actually glad we cleaned up the mess, even if it was tiring." said Smolder. "Same here, but we got invited to the holiday dinner, so it was worth it." said Gallus. "Oh hey, what are you're holidays that you guys celebrate?" asked Lnx1y. The Young Six become eager to respond to Lnx1y's question, because they have their own holidays and traditions. "The changelings celebrate Earthen's Warming." replied Ocellus. "Yaks celebrate Snilldar Fest!" replied Yona. "Us dragons celebrate the Feast of Fire." said Smolder. "Ponies celebrate Hearth's Warming." replied Sandbar. "We celebrate the 3 Days of Freedom in Hippogriffia and Seaquestria!" replied Silverstream. "And I celebrate the Blue Moon Festival in Griffonstone." replied Gallus. The Young Six sound happy when they told Lnx1y what holidays they celebrated back home. However, they want to know what holiday Lnx1y celebrated from where she's from. "Hey Lnx1y? What holiday do you celebrate?" asked Sandbar. "Overlanders like me celebrate Hari Libur. It's like the Overland's equivalent to Equestria's Hearth's Warming." replied Lnx1y. "Why is it called Hari Libur?" asked Smolder. "Hari Libur means holiday in the Overland language." replied Lnx1y. "Yona want to know more about Hari Libur!" exclaimed Yona. "Me too!" exclaimed Silverstream. "Okay okay I'll tell you. Hari Libur is celebrated on the 3rd weekend of December every year. The main tradition of Hari Libur that both land and water overlanders do is throwing coloured powder at each other. Yeah, snow doesn't exist in the Overland because it's too warm and tropical for it. The reason we throw coloured powder at each other because it represents unity and harmony. Overlanders also wear white clothes, so everyone represents equality. Of course colour powder throwing is not the only part of Hari Libur. We also light up fireworks and children run around holding sparklers because the fireworks represent spirits that watch over the overlanders. The stars on the night sky also represent all the overlanders that have passed. Overlanders spend Hari Libur with family and friends, eating delicious foods, dancing to music and much more. These are just the main traditions of Hari Libur for all overlanders. Each of the 1000 ethnic groups in the Overland have their own traditions for Hari Libur." explained Lnx1y. "That's very interesting, though I don't want to have coloured powder on my feathers." said Gallus. "Ohhhhh! I want to throw coloured powder! Can we do it right now?" asked Silverstream. "No, we don't want the holiday dinner to be messy." replied Twilight. "We can always throw coloured powder at each other outside." said Spike. "Lnx1y, you said each ethnic group in the Overland have their own traditions for Hari Libur. What's your ethnic group?" asked Ocellus. "I'm apart of the Bulanese ethnic group, who are from the Bulan Mountains of Jawu Island. The Bulanese light up lanterns and put colourful art on it and we let them fly. They're supposed to represent as gifts for those who passed." replied Lnx1y. "Do you only used the coloured powder for throwing?" asked Smolder. "No, we also use the coloured powder for making art on walls and sidewalks. Many overlanders like to throw coloured powder at each other, but they also use it to draw on the walls and sidewalks because the Overland being a tropical country, it's very colourful." replied Lnx1y. "You guys can just use the coloured powder to make art, but after you guys finish eating." said Twilight. The Young Six and Lnx1y all nod in agreement. They finish eating their dinner as they chat and laugh. Author's Note I changed the changeling's Hearth's Warming to Earthen's Warming to differentiate it from the pony's Hearth's Warming. Also it sounds more "earthy" and changeling like :3 //-------------------------------------------------------// Colourful Art and Hugs //-------------------------------------------------------// Colourful Art and Hugs After the Young Six and Lnx1y finished their dinner, Rainbow Dash takes them outside to do their colourful powder art. At this point it's now night, but there's a large white banner on the grass. "I've got the colourful powder in my bucket, so we can do our drawing." said Lnx1y. "Remember what Twilight said, don't throw it." said Sandbar. "Yeah, but I'll forgive you if it's accidental. After all, it does look tempting to throw the coloured powder." said Rainbow Dash with a smirk. "Let's start our powder art!" said Silverstream excitedly. And so, the Young Six and Lnx1y start their powder art on the banner. Silverstream and Yona are excited, while Smolder and Gallus seemed a bit apphensive since they don't want to get the powder on themselves. As for Sandbar and Ocellus, they're just content. Lnx1y is going crazy with the coloured powder as she's from the Overland and has been celebrating Hari Libur for years. "Yona like coloured powder. Yona wish yaks use colour powder in Yakyakistan!" said Yona. "Yeah! We use powder for art only where I'm from." said Silverstream. Just then, Spike arrived. "Oh I see you're doing powder art." said Spike. "Yeah, it's good fun actually." replied Sandbar. Spike picks up some powder and starts drawing on the banner. "Oh! It is fun!" said Spike. Spike, Lnx1y and the Young Six continue to do powder art on the banner. They are having fun, talking and laughing as they use the colourd powder to draw on the banner. After about 20 minutes, everyone finished the powder art. "Ah! It looks super colourful!" exclaimed Silverstream. "Yona love it." said Yona. "It was actually fun after all." said Gallus. "This is one reason why I love Hari Libur, because it's the only time of year where I can use colourful powder." said Lnx1y. Just then, Smolder accidently dropped some orange powder on the yellow powdered sun. "Oh fuck! Sorry Lnx1y." said Smolder. "Don't be sorry. It actually makes the yellow sun more vibrant!" replied Lnx1y as she adjusted the orange powder on the yellow powdered sun. "You're right, it does make it more vibrant." said Smolder. "No wonder some creatures call the Overland, the islands of colour." said Sandbar. "They really love colour!" replied Ocellus. "Most overlanders, including me love colour, which is why most overlander art is vibrant and colourful." said Lnx1y. "I'm glad we stayed after, because we learned about each other's traditions while cleaning up the mess back in the lounge and even though it took a long time to clean up the mess, it was worth it, because we were invited to headmare Twilight's holiday dinner table." said Sandbar. "And you helped me decorate the dormitory when no one else would." said Lnx1y. "Today was a good day, especially since Hearth's Warming is coming up!" said Silverstream. Just then, Yona threw green powder at Sandbar. "I thought headmare Twilight said not to throw powder. "Yona couldn't help it. Yona wanted to see what throwing colour powder looked like." replied Yona. "Let me try! Let me try!" exclaimed Silverstream as she picked up some purple powder and threw it at Smolder. "Oh you're on!" said Smolder as she picked up some orange powder. The Young Six along with Lnx1y and Spike started to throw coloured powder at each other. Even though they weren't supposed to, they didn't care. They were just having fun. Around 5 minutes into the powder fight match, Rainbow Dash and Twilight arrived into the vibrant and colourful scene. "I thought I said to only use the powder for art?" said Twilight with a confused tone. "Oh? Uh.... I guess we gotten a little carried away, but we were only having fun." replied Lnx1y. "Come on Twilight, look at the banner they made. I even helped them." said Spike. Twilight looked at the banner that the Young Six, Lnx1y and Spike. The powder art looked very vibrant and colourful. "Wow, that looks very vibrant. You guys did a great job." said Twilight Sparkle. "Thank you!" replied the Young Six. "We need to preserve this banner. It's too good not to keep." suggested Rainbow Dash. "That's right, let me do that." said Twilight as she put a preserving magic on the banner. "Rainbow Dash, Spike and I will put this banner on the main hall." said Twilight as she Rainbow Dash and Spike walked away. After the trio left Yona smiled and opened her arms up. "Group hug!" said Yona with a big smile. The rest of the Young Six and Lnx1y joined in the group hug. All 7 students are covered in colourful powder, but they were happy and laughing regardless since they had a fun evening.
