Following the horrific deaths of his friends at the hands of the Metal Tails Doll, a mentally drained Sonic drags Shadow and Silver through a portal to Equestria where he tries to find adventure but ends up finding more and more questions.

Sonic, recovering from trauma, along with Shadow and Silver, are dragged into Equestria, where they encounter mysteries upon mysteries connecting their world to this new place. They meet the Mane 6, and they all promise to help them get back home. All the while a looming darkness threatens everything.
