What if there was someone else before the first pony? What if there was another more developed civilisation? What if all ponies owe their existence to them? And even if they did exist, why did they fall? These questions have troubled many scholars and all because of ancient paintings in one of the caves near Canterlot. Nobody could answer what they represented and so they were forgotten.

However, when one of the guards discovers them, Twilight begins to investigate. She can't understand them, but when she accidentally activates an ancient being, everything begins to fall into place in a logical whole. Watch as Twilight, her friends and the ancient being become friends with each other.... and maybe even something more.

This is a story heavily inspired by the Mass Effect series but is in no way connected to it. The story takes place during season 4
