Storm King's TRAGIC backstory
It will leave you in tears
Load Full Story"Day! Night! Day! Night! Day night day night sunrise sunset!"
Storm King fiddled with night and day like a child abusing the light switch.
"Please stop!" Twilight's cries grabbed the attention of the Storm King, who looked at her curiously.
"You're endangering the planet just by waving it around! How could you be so evil?........ What happened to you to make you like this?.........." Twilight begged Storm King to explain.......
"Well, if you REALLY want to know, I guess I can tell you a little bit of my past." Storm King accepted.
"I was a young boy, who had a loving mother and father. And when I asked for a stuffed Dragon, I didn't get it." Storm King explained.
....................................................................................................
"THAT'S it? THAT'S your decent to wickedness?!" Tempest was baffled at her bosses weak motives.
"But wait! There's more! Me and my folks went to a cafe to get some grub, and when I asked for extra salt on the grapes, they gave me pepper instead." Storm King added.
"Are- are you joking? Because I actually can't tell if you're joking or not." Twilight asked.
"No I am not. Do you know how badly I wanted that stuffed Dragon? Those things aren't cheap you know!" Storm King "defended".
"Anyways as I was saying, my father eventually passed on and left me to inherit the throne. And when I did I asked the blacksmith to make me a crown and you wanna know what happened next?" Storm King asked.
"He didn't?......." Tempest tried to guess the answer.
"BUZZ! Wrong! He did, BUT it's not the one I had thought out!" Storm King elaborated.
.....................................................................................
"Is he serious?.........." Twilight asked Tempest, who simply gave a look of "Don't look at me!"
"So anyways I decided to right the wrongs of my horrible childhood and kinghood and conquer and subjugate any land I can find." Storm King finished.
......................................................................
"Are you SERIOUS? That's your emotionally scaring backstory?! I lost my horn to an Ursa Minor! My best friends all left me because of how scary I was with unstable magic! I couldn't trust ANYONE to not run away from me for years! And you terrorize and enslave hundreds just because you didn't get a toy?!" Tempest was beyond baffled.
"Hey hey hey! Don't forget about the lack of salt and wrong crown!" Storm King corrected.
"Tempest is right! All this destruction and mayhem, and THAT'S why you became a tyrannical warlord?!" Twilight asked.
"Hey, I should've gotten the salt, blame the waiter." Storm King merely scoffed.
"I can't believe this! Do you realize how many other villains I've met that have a sadder backstory then you?! Like, Luna felt envious and jealous because she was standing in her sister's shadow for Celestia KNOWS how many moons, Starlight had her best friend leave her after getting his cutie mark when she was a filly! A young impressionable filly! Stygian wanted to help the pillars but they accused him of trying to cause their downfall! And yet you didn't get the right crown?!" Twilight was baffled of how someone like THE STORM KING could have such a petty excuse and weak motivation for such heinous crimes.
"Sometimes it's the little things that set people off." Storm King stated.
"Not THAT little!" Tempest argued.
"Well, it meant a lot to me, and if you didn't get a plush Dragon when you REALLY wanted it I'm sure you'd turn evil too." Storm King stated while looking at Twilight.
"It took me a few years to get my Smarty Pants doll, but before I did get it I didn't start enslaving kingdoms!" Twilight argued.
"Was it a Dragon though? No, it was a Smarty Pants, not the same thing." Storm King corrected.
"It doesn't matter!" Twilight argued.
"I would do anything for a plush Dragon." Storm King lamented.
"This is ridiculous!" Tempest cried in outrage.
"You see Princess Triltdark," Storm King started.
"TWILIGHT." Twilight corrected.
"Yeah whatever, you and I are two sides of the same bit." Storm King was about to start.
"Oh no! Don't you start this whole 'we're not so different you and I' debacle! I am nothing like you! I DID eventually get my Smarty Pants doll, and before that I didn't start destroying civilizations!" Twilight stated.
"But how BADLY did you want your doll? It takes a lot of willpower to not conquer kingdoms for that long if you didn't get your favorite toy." Storm King explained, however, all Twilight could do along with Tempest is groan in frustration over Storm King's reasonings for his villainy.
"You see, once I get a storm running and finally make my name meaningful, I'll finally fulfill the happiness I should have gotten if I'd just gotten that DARN SAULT!" Storm King suddenly shouted.
"No you know what? NO. Our deal is off, I'm changing alignments and joining Twilight's side because your backstory is so weak!" Tempest heel faced while backlashing Storm King.
"Bah! I don't need you anyway as I already got what I wanted, and I didn't even need to betray you. So funny how things work out in the end." Storm King revealed.
"Storm King, there's got to be SOME kind of significant event from your past that could have made you the way you are. Some kind of emotional pain that's eating away at your soul? Anything that warrants sympathy?" Twilight asked.
"Well there is ONE thing............. One thing that happened a long time ago that I am deeply ashamed of..........." Storm King started.
"Yes?.............." Twilight was desperate to hear him out.
"I started growing a beard........... And when I did, I didn't shave it............." Storm King lamented.........
.....................................................
"Tempest?....... Are you ok?..........." Twilight noticed Tempest was staring blankly at the Storm King.
Until suddenly, she pulled out an orb and threw it at Storm King before he had any time to react, making him stumble backwards to fall off the balcony before turning into stone and smashing into a thousand pieces when he hit the ground.
"Now was THAT really necessary?" Twilight asked Tempest if it was really worth KILLING the Storm King over.
"Trust me, it's better this way. And now the Storm Kingdom doesn't have a leader to turn to anymore." Tempest stated.
"Yeah, his backstory makes him unsalvageable for redemption" Twilight stated, before they grabbed the staff to fix everything.
