“So, everyone– Everypony– No, wait, everyone went home already?” Sunset, Twilight, Celestia and Luna walked through the halls of Twilight’s castle, intent on reaching the mirror once more “Good!”

The Princess of Friendship walked incredibly close to her. “Yep! There seemed to be a lot of promises to return, though– With the human Rainbow Dash wanting to learn to fly just as good as ours, with the Raritys wanting to collab, and of course, with the Pinkies having already secretly been swapping places…”

“--Because of course they did.”

“It is amusing to think that our worlds will not be as separate as they have always been.” Princess Luna noted, with a proud grin. “I look forward to seeing my other self once more. She has truly taught me much about the art of ‘loosening up’.”

The three others laughed as if she was telling a joke.

“I am serious. Soon I will be the most ‘chill’ and ‘relaxed’ Princess there ever was. Watch me!” She announced daringly.

“And to think this day began with me and my counterpart fighting over you, daughter…!” Celestia let out a pleased, tired, joyfull sigh. “...And it has ended with you earning your wings, at long last. Words cannot express my joy, Sunset. I wish they could, I wish I–”

Swiftly and without hesitation, her daughter hugged her– A hug she reciprocated, with tearful chuckles. “...To have seen you grow so much, and to know there is more to come…! To know that I will see you shine, brighter than ever…!”

“I did it, mom. I did it…!” Sunset chuckled at the monumental circumstances, tearing up herself.

“You did, my little sun. You did.” And they remained on that embrace, and they would have remained longer.

“...You two have done this about ten times now.” Luna frowned, pouting. “Have you not gotten the hugging out of your system?”

“No.” they both muttered, pouting.

“Pff, let them have it. It was a big day.” The Princess of Friendship yawned and stretched. “A big, long, confusing, messy day…!”

“It sure was. But I’m happy. I’m so, so happy…!” The newly ascended alicorn breathlessly muttered, with a smile that wouldn’t quit.

“Now, now… Hold onto that joy. And go pass it onto your other mother as well.” Celestia kissed her on the forehead gently. “She is waiting for you, after all.”

“I will. Thanks, mom…!”

“Kissing tax.” Twilight stood before her and the mirror. “...Before you go, please?”

Sunset did not hesitate, and kissed the Princess gently, sweetly.

With a pleased sigh, Twilight embraced her. “...There's a lot we still have to do, a lot we still have to talk about…!”

“I’ll be here tomorrow, and we’ll have all the time in the world, Sparkles.” Sunset assured her with a grin. “And hey… We’ve got centuries ahead of us.”

“Y-yeah. And together, we’ll never be afraid of the dark.” She muttered back, lovingly.

“I love you, Twilight Sparkle.” They leaned foreheads together, nuzzling each other.

“I love you, Sunset Shimmer.” She whispered back lovingly. “And you owe me a lot more than just kisses next time.”

“I’ll pay you back with interest.”

“You better.”

And with a final kiss, and the proper goodbyes, she stepped through the mirror.

As soon as she crossed the portal, she was assaulted with human hugs from all sides.

Twilight, Principal Celestia, and Vice-Principal Luna were waiting for her on the other side, and were now suffocating her with affection.

“H-hey, easy, easy! I’m pretty tired too!!” Sunset complained with a smile.

“I’m going to be the designated driver tonight.” Vice-Principal Luna spun their car keys skillfully in between her fingers with a grin as she left the hug. “Shall we? I’ve enjoyed the royal banquet, but I’d like to be at my human bed as soon as possible.”

“Huh, you’re driving, not mom?” Sunset tilted her head analytically.

“Sunset, I got bucked by a horse earlier today, remember?” Principal Celestia noted, lightly lifting a bit of her shirt, showing a distinctive bruise. “You know– Your other mother?”

The newly ascended human alicorn had to chuckle to herself. “W-wow. With all that happened, I almost forgot… That you have a six pack. Um, shouldn't we go to a hospital?”

“Oh, it’s fine, I’ll sleep it off! She really didn’t hit as hard as it looked!” The Principal smiled warmly. “We should all sleep this day off. It’s been a bit taxing for all of us.”

“Speak for yourselves, I’m already planning my retirement home in Ponyland.” Luna snickered. “And I get to show the student faculty a recording of my sister getting bucked by a horse on monday! Things couldn’t be going better, heheh.”

“Like I said.” Celestia grumbled. “This day has been taxing.”

“But it’s been good.” Twilight noted quietly, with a smile. “Really, really good.”

“That it has.” With a joyful sigh, the Principal stretched. “I’ll give the two of you a few minutes to catch up– Twilight’s sleeping over, but I think you need a moment, don’t you?”

Sunset flustered, fidgeting with her hair, while Twilight nodded emphatically.

With a simple, loving gesture, the Principal kissed her daughter on the forehead. “I am really proud of you, sweetie. I can’t wait to see what you do with those wings…! The other me is so proud, too…!”

“Y-yeah! Thanks mom…!”

She raised a single defiant finger with a pout. “But you’re still going to college.”

“I wouldn’t have it any other way.” She grinned, nodding obediently.

Letting out a sigh, the Principal hugged her one more time, then made her way to her car expectantly. “Take your time, lovebirds!”

Sunset exhaled, watching the night sky of the human world for a moment, and was swiftly, yet gently hugged by the human Twilight.

“...Are you doing okay, after all that?” She asked her love gently. “I know you’re not the biggest fan of having to walk on all fours.”

“I don’t mind. I’m glad that your weird horse land drama forced me to confess my feelings for you.” She muttered lovingly, exhausted. “And I’m so happy you’re not leaving…!”

“Like I said… Not going anywhere, not anytime soon.” She smiled warmly, and kissed her gently. “And I wouldn’t trade you for any other Twilight, either…!”

Twilight tightened her embrace, with a little grunt of joy. “...Can I kiss you anytime I want now? Is that a girlfriend thing…?”

“Heh, daring already, huh?” Chuckling, Sunset leaned down. “Yeah. Anytime you want.”

She abused this permission now, and would many times after.

“And you’re okay with this, right? How are you feeling, really?” Sunset asked carefully.

“I am… Taking a page out of your book, and trying not to worry about the future…!” She spoke gently, with a worried smile. “I’m definitely… Wary of the possibility of dying of old age without you. I don’t like the idea.”

“We’ll deal with it.” Sunset came closer, kissing her on the forehead. “You’ve got wings already– Who’s to say Twilight Sparkle the human isn’t worthy?”

“...I’ll make my master’s thesis about achieving immortality if I have to.” She pouted with determination.

“And I’m absolutely certain you’d pull it off.” Sunset delivered another swift, gentle hug. “...And what does Midnight think of all this?”

“...She wants us to get to your home and share a bed as soon as possible.” Twilight frowned in annoyance. “I don’t disagree with her, she doesn’t need to say it though…!”

“Well then.” Taking her girlfriend by the hand, Sunset led the way with a smile. “What are we waiting for?”

Together, hand in hand, they walked towards their destiny– And didn’t worry about it.

“Gullible Imbeciles, heheh.” Anti-Twilight snickered to herself, strolling through Everfree with determination. “Of course they wouldn’t notice me escaping– And they honestly think I’d share Sunset Shimmer?”

With determined movements, she found a tree perfect for her little experiment, and readied herself.

“No no, I won’t share anything.” She grinned maliciously.

She placed a strand of hair she had acquired from the newly ascended alicorn– A picture she had taken of Sunset Shimmer covertly, and burned the half-tone sun cutie mark into the bark of the tree.

“No sharing.” She readied her horn, sparkling it with wicked, joyfull intent. “I’ll just make my own.”

Author's Note

...To be continued...??? Dun dun dun-- Nah, not really. Let's face it, Anti-Twilight is just going to be too busy making out with her own Anti-Sunset to do anything evil whatsoever.

I have to say, I like the mean 6! I wish they had actually become season antagonists, rather than, yknow, the toddler that did instead.

An evil twilight is much more interesting than a child from nowhere tbh

Also I think that both Equestria and Earth having to share Sunset Shimmer is a pretty funny result to any story. Everyone wants a piece of Sunset, everyone loves her, and they're RIGHT.

Anyways, next one-shot will be EQG exclusive and unrelated to this, I doubt I'll ever write a sequel to this LMAO

Aaaalso this accidentally wound up as an baby version of my "Sunset, what do you want?" Fic LMAO. Which, btw, a string of funny comments on that fic is what inspired this sequel lol. Go check the fic out, its a fun one, if you don't mind the actual emotional stakes of two worlds competing for Sunset's affection.

I've reached my peak. This is it
