25 hours post rescue

“Wait, wait, wait. You’re telling me that your leaders, the two people, er, ponies in charge, are the ones who move the fuckin sun and moon around the planet? And one of them was trapped there for 1000 years??” You sat on the edge of the bed, having finished the admittedly pretty small book after about 45 minutes. Nurse Redheart returned a little bit after that, bringing along a tray of Broccoli and cheese soup, plus some apple juice on the side, and a banana. The soup was devoured immediately, and the apple juice was drank just as quickly. Now, you were working through the banana, while practically bombarding the slightly exasperated nurse with questions about the context of the book. Surely this couldn’t be correct, right?

“Yes, Mr. Morris, that is right. Princess Celestia controls the Sun, and presides over the country during the daylight hours. Then, her sister, Princess Luna, takes over and moves the moon into the sky, Watching over the citizens of Equestria as we sleep. Princess Luna also watches over the Dream Realm, where all of Equestrias ponies dreams are kept, and where she can fight off our nightmares. " She responds, huffing slightly, while plopping into the chair next to the bed. She grimaced slightly as you finished the last half of the banana in one bite, chewing and swallowing quickly.

“That... That doesn’t make any sense though, i mean how can they move the sun when the planet is orbiting it. Unless the planet is larger than the star? But that’d be crazy. Right?” You trail off, trying to understand the logistics of a truly geocentric orbit, and how that would affect the planet as a whole. Before you can short circuit, Redheart clops her hoof on the ground sharply, breaking your trance. “Right, sorry. Anyway, you wanted me to try putting weight on the leg, right?” The nurse nods, stepping out of the chair as you climb from your bed, most of your weight on your non-plaster wrapped leg. Gingerly, you increase the amount of pressure on your other leg, not feeling any pain whatsoever. You take a tentative step forward, getting back into the rhythm of walking slowly, making it across the room to the door without stumbling once, then turn and look at the astonished Redheart triumphantly. She closes her slightly agape mouth, smiling slightly at you before walking over and opening the door.

“Well, with the frankly amazing progress youve made on healing, i dont see any reason why we cant get that cast off of you now. While you’re doing that, ill send a letter to Princess Twilight Sparkle. She asked us to keep her updated on your progress when you first arrived here, and im sure shed be more than happy to talk to you about Equestria and how it works.” She talks as she leads you down the hall, having given you your shirt back, which you slip on quickly before following her, passing patients and nurses who all give you strange, confused looks. You do your best to ignore them, focusing on Nurse Redheart as she leads you to a room down the hall. She enters first, then closes the door behind you two. Inside is a normal looking doctors office, complete with weird paper liner on the chair. You climb up onto it, and Nurse Redheart comes over, looking the cast over quickly. “Right, you sit tight and I'll go get Doctor Quick Fix.”

Either she doesn't notice your snort, or doesn’t care as she leaves, and now you’re alone once again, drumming on your knees as you wait for the doctor who may or may not have a medical license. You're not left waiting long however, as the doctor shows up. He has a light blue-green coat, and a gray and silver mane, glasses and a horn jutting out of his head. As he enters the room, he's holding a clipboard in some kind of teal force field, which also seems to be encapsulating the horn his head. This must be one of those Unicorns the book talked about. He's reading from the clipboard as he enters the room, closing the door with the same magic.

“Good afternoon Mr. Morris, my name is Doctor Quick Fix, and I'm to assume you're having a cast removed?” He looks up after saying this, then blinks twice and rubs his eyes with a foreleg. “Well now. I don't believe I've ever seen a creature such as yourself. Quite the sight you are son.” He grins, and you cant help but grin yourself. The doctor is much more chipper than any human doctor you've been to, and it makes being at the hospital just that little bit less unsettling.

“Yea, thats right. The nurse seemed surprised at how quickly i recovered. How long does it normally take you ponies to heal?’' You ask him, lifting the offending leg as you do. He ignores your question and sets the clipboard down, encasing the cast in his magic as he hums and looks it over, the field intensifying where his gaze lands, seeming to look through the cast and at your leg instead. Once he's satisfied, a crack appears down the length of the plaster, and it splits like an egg, revealing your very pale, but healed, appendage.

“Yes, the nurse is right in being surprised.” He grabs a folder, putting up what look to be x-rays of your leg. The Tibia looks to be snapped in half, and cracked near the knee. The fibula is similarly broken. “These injuries are quite severe. Truth be told, any other pony would’ve lost the leg if they had went through this. However, Mr. Morris, you are no pony. Thanks to that fact, we were able to save yours. The strange part being, it had already begun healing on the ride over to the hospital. Fascinating, isn’t it?” He asks, turning to you, his large smile seeming less cheery and more... Creepy. “What should have been a multiple month recovery, was finished in less than a day. I look forward to the data Princess Twilight comes up with after she runs her tests on you. You’re free to leave, the exit is to the right, and then take a left. Have a good day Mr. Morris.” The doctor exits, leaving you alone with your thoughts. You slide off the table, and immediately feel a difference, walking now feeling much easier without the huge chunk of plaster getting in the way. After leaving the room, you follow the doctors directions, and leave the hospital.

After exiting the hospital, you finally get a look at the world you’re currently trapped on. The houses look like they were plucked from a story based on the medieval dark ages. Thatch roofs and seemingly wooden walls adorn every house as far as you can see. Off in the distance you catch sight of what appears to be a colossal crystalline tree, refracting the light that shines onto it into beams of warping color. Before you can begin exploring however, a familiar voice calls from behind you.

“Mr. Morris, wait!” You turn your head, watching Nurse Redheart canter over to you, fixing her hat when she stops. “Before you leave. Here, this is one of the only things they managed to salvage from that... Vehicle you arrived in.” She pulls a small draw string bag off her neck, holding it out to you by the strap. You look it over, the faded 7th Column on it quite ruined. Pulling it open, you find a few of your personal items, consisting of a small pocket knife, your cell phone and earbuds, and a small notebook you used for your doodles and sketches. Pulling the bag closed, you slip it onto your back.

“Thanks Red. Honestly, with how you described the wreck they found me in, i figured all my stuff was gone. Nice to know a few things came with.” You thank her, adjusting the bag to sit comfortably. She pipes up again, so you turn to face her fully.

“You’ve probably seen it already, but Princess Twilights castle is that huge crystal structure over there.” She steps next to you, pointing to the crystal tree you saw, “Head over there, and she'll probably be waiting. While the doctor was taking your cast off, i sent a letter her way letting her know you would be heading that way soon. She hasn’t sent anything back, but i’m certain she’s getting everything ready to receive you. Good luck, and just a warning. Princess Twilight can be a bit... Much, when you first meet her. I promise she’s a wonderful mare once you get to know her though.” With that, she gives you a wave and trots back to the hospital, leaving you to make your way to your next (and hopefully not Final) Destination.
