Waves of Flame

Celestia leaned back on her throne and watched as her two-second cousins wrestled. They’re turning 7 soon Celestia thought, that means that they’ll show which type of pony they are soon.

Alicorns are a very special species. They don’t get to be actual Alicorns with a horn and wings until they’re full grown. When they’re about 7 they either get a horn or wings.

Celestia watched as Cerulean Streak the white and blue one, Pushed Shadow Flame the red and black one to the floor. Shadow flame bit Cerulean on the leg and he yelped. “Hey no fair, no biting” Cerulean said. “Prove it” Shadow retorted.

Cerulean then trotted over to Celestia “Aunt Celestia shadow flames cheating” He whined. “nuhuh” Shadow Flame yelled. “Ahuh” Cerulean flash replied and then jumped on Shadow flame. Shadow flame hit Cerulean streak in the nose while Cerulean kicked him in the stomach.

Celestia sighed and her horn glowed yellow levitating the two colts away from each other. “If I had known you two were this much trouble I wouldn’t have offered to babysit you, and where is your older brother he should be back from school by now?” she said.

Just as she finished her sentence a tall black and white horse Ran into the room. “ House…fire…come quick” he said and then collapsed on the floor. “You three stay here,” Celestia said as she bolted out the doors and into the streets of Canterlot.

She looked up and saw a pillar of smoke spiraling into the cloudless blue sky. She took a deep breath and ran towards the source of it. When she arrived she saw dozens of unicorns earth ponies and pegasi throwing buckets of water into the fire.

She recognized one of her royal guards and ran up to him “What happened here?” she said out of breath. “Some sort of fire” he replied, “luckily only two ponies were killed.” “Who were they?” Celestia asked dreading his answer. “ A mare and a horse” He replied, “ married from the look of it.” Celestia collapsed on the ground “What am I going to tell the boys?” She cried.

The guard helped her up “don’t worry princess, we’ll sort this out you should just go back to your castle” He said “Its almost nighttime too.” Celestia looked up and saw that in all the confusion the sun was beginning to set. Celestia lowered her head and started to walk back to the castle.

When she arrived there she saw that Ordelius was slumped next to two red and blue blobs covered by a blanket. He Lifted his head as Celestia walked in “something wrong?” He asked groggily? “It’s nothing” She said “just go back to bed” He nodded sleepily and closed his eyes.
