Tall Fescue—a descendant of migrants fleeing from the Realm of Kiria's oppressive and century-long Silence—crosses the ocean and travels to his homeland with his future squadmates under an Equestria-based private security company, Walkover's.

Supervised by a wizened officer named Apple Bloom, Walkover's newest recruits enter the fray with one purpose: to keep the peace in a nirik-run anarchy of warlords beyond the borders of a technocratic corporate state.

But Tall enters with another goal in mind and in heart: to consecrate his best years to saving the land of the kirin.
