Midnight Lancer is a simple pegasus with few friends, grappling with the crushing weight of loneliness in city crammed full of ponies. For years, he's lived alone in his apartment with his cat, working, sleeping and 'living' as best he could while ignoring the growing dissatisfaction within him.

When he met Starlit Beacon, things changed. He felt a drive to genuinely improve and to turn things around in his life. Despite being long distance, the pair have been steady for quite some time. As Hearth's Warming and her long anticipated visit nears, Midnight must prepare his apartment, and himself, for her arrival.

This is a cute little short story I wrote up in the dark, quiet hours of the night for my lovely partner.
